Why would her parents abandon her just because she likes dubstep?
And wouldn't it be a little odd if they named her Remix Dubstep even though they hate dubstep?
I mean, I'm not trying to be mean, but...
Well, there isn't a whole lot to work with here, but that could be okay.
First off, I agree with Tiger, the name feels strange. That's all I'll say about that.
Second, when people create, well what comes down to a look alike, it works when their personality shines more than their color pallet. Unfortunately, you haven't put much into her personality yet, so I'll have to get back to you on that.
Thirdly, some vital details are missing. Things like, as Tiger said, why would they abandon her? What is her cutie mark? What is her history? Some pertinent stuff there!
All in all, this character could work, it would just take some work and detail.
