You see those posts every once in a while, with a ton of emotes, it really looks annoying, they're angry, they spam a bunch of angry emotes, they're happy, they spam a bunch of happy emotes, you know what I mean. I suggest we limit it to 5 emotes per post, all further just come out as the text used to put them! I don't know if it's easy or even possible to program this, but it would help if it were.
But what if I wanted to use 6 emotes scattered among multiple paragraphs of text to further demonstrate a point or emotions?
The majority of the time, it seems that the person who's spamming emotes on the forum is brand new. They see the emotes, and they get really excited because they look fun and want to use them right away, so then they just let themselves get carried away. Once we let them know that that's too much, they usually tone it down a lot.
I'd simply make it so no more then 20% of the post can be emotes if it's over 50 characters.
Of course better numbers then that, but same idea...
We will investigate this matter further, but approved.
There is now a limit of 10 emotes per post.
