Jay had only woken up a few minutes ago before the one thought hit her; escape.
That was when she started running down the halls, banging on all the doors, and finding the rest of the ponies trapped in this nightmare. Her room had been at the end of the dead-end hall, so there was only one way to go.
Some rooms she had found the door open, but the pony inside had decided to... well... "Opt out". She didn't blame them, that was her first solution too, but that meant the ponies who did open the doors were those who had fought the urge to die, and those were the ponies she wanted traveling with her. They would find a way out, there had to be a way out. Couldn't there be?
Tiger opened the door, still utterly confused. How did I get here? What happened? Tiger thought to herself as she walked out the door.
Tiger looked at the light blue pegasus she was following in front of her and wondered why she had asked her to follow her. She wasn't sure whether she should trust her or not.
Only time could tell.
Jay ran up to the next door and knocked on it, only to have the door open a little bit. She looked inside and stumbled backwards gasping. That was the third. She quickly slammed it shut and went yo the next door.
As Tiger continued following Jay, her uncertainty and curiousity was only increasing. She'll have to ignore the saying "Curiousity killed the cat" for now.
"So... You seem to know what's going on. Do you know where we are? And how did I get here?" Tiger asked, hoping that Jay wouldn't be too preoccupied with opening doors to answer her question.
((The third... me? :o))
(No, it was a pony who decided to "opt out". Your the door I'm trying now.)
Jay knocked on the door. Thank goodness it hadn't cracked open yet. She turned to Tiger. "All I know is we have to get out of here, and so far there's only one way." She pointed a hoof down the hallway whe the darkness eventually ate up the floor walls and ceiling.
Naura hears the knocking an turns in the cell. Were their gonna let her out, or torture her? Or was it even them. Naura slowly rises up and pushes the door, and it opens! She gasps and looks at the pony before her. She crawls back into the corner and hope it's friendly. She had been in a coma for long, she didn't know what month it was. She didn't know how much time that had passed.
Jay eyed the mare oddly. "A-are you okay?" She asked. Looking around the normal-looking room.
"Wha-what time is it?" Naura asked the pony with a shaky voice.
"Wha-what week? Wha-what month? What year?" She continued to ask and slowly started to stand up.
((What does "Opt" mean?))
(Opted out is just a nice way of saying they ended themselves.)
"I don't know. But if you don't follow me you might not have another chance to get out." She said, before turning down the hallway to the next door. She wasn't lying; nopony knew what may come for them if they don't try to find a way out now- what an alternate fate may hold in store for those who stayed behind.
Tiger flew in front of Jay and stopped her in her tracks.
"Now wait just a minute! Not giving enough details is really odd in my opinion! How would we know that you're not just trying to lure us into some kind of trap!?" Tiger said. Clearly, she wasn't in a very trusting mood at the moment.
Naura heard another voice and slowly walked out of the door and looked at the two ponies.
"Sabrina- Oh..." She said when she realized it wasn't her she just heard. She looks at the
two ponies and wait for them to do something. They seem to be arguring about something.
Jay stopped and looked over Tiger. "Look, I have no better idea where we are then you do. If you want, I can show you the exact place I woke up." She pointed a light blue hoof down the hallway where her open door could still be seen."If I had more information to share with you, I would most definetly tell you where we are and how we got here, but for the time being- I don't even know!" She swivelled around Tiger and continued down the hallway to the next door murmuring "I can be patient" to herself. At the next door she turned back and said; "The choice is all yours, wether you want to follow me or not. I can't guarantee you will see the light of day ever again if you do follow me, but I know that if you stay here, you will indefinitely rot." With that, she knocked on the next door.
Tiger simply grumbled, since she didn't have much of a choice. After all, this pegasus seemed to be telling the truth right now, even if Tiger still didn't entirely trust her. So, she (reluctantly) continued following Jay, ocassionally mumbling to herself theories of where they could be and what happened to them.
"Nightmares... Foalnappers... Alternate universes..." were among some of the words the other two could hear from her before she went silent. Somepony seemed to be thinking too hard about something to notice that some of the rooms had those ponies that "opted out".
They seemed to stop arguring, so Naura went up to them and asked them with a stronger voice than before:
"Hey, I passed out in my cell, and got into a coma. I have no idea of time and I want to see my friends and get
the buck out of here!" Then she turned to the end of the room with the cells, which was about 100 hooves (feets)
long, so she slowly kept walking checking into some of the cells, seeing most of the captured ponies, griffons,
dragons, changelings and all diffrent things that had been caught, had opt out.
(There's no cages, just rooms.)
Jay, suddenly perfectly fine again, knocked on one door. It opened, and she backed up. "Do you want to see why we must leave?" She said, not turning her head away from the open door. "Come and take a look."
A scream of fear, followed by a maniacal laugh rang out somewhere down the hallways. The laugh was soon accompanied by a haunting voice that said, "I am terribly sorry to say, but it would seem that you have lost. I hope that we can play again sometime."
Faint hoofsteps could be heard, followed by the sound of... sniffing?
"I smell... more players..." The voice said, then the hoofsteps began growing louder.
"Oh hay no! I don't know how long I've been in there, all I know is that I'm not staying, I will seriuosly kick the buck out of you if you try to stop me!"
Naura screames of anger, just like what? She wasn't going to be stopped by this mysteriuos pony who thought he could control their lifes!
The pony laughed evilly as he moved down the hallway.
"You won't last long." He said in a tone that could haunt the worst of nightmares.
As he came into view, he looked almost normal, except for his black eyes that had glowing red pupils. He approached the group casually, grinning demonically.
"Good evening, ladies. Congratulations; you three have won a position as players in my game." The pony-thing said as his gaze fell upon all of them.
"What game? A card game? A race game? I'm not going to play any game until I can tell Celestia about this trap of yours!"
Naura screams, even angrier now, she is soon going to kick that pony if he won't move out of her way.
Jay turned her head to the newcomer. "And who the hay are you?" She hissed, her bird-like wings rising off her back.
"Oh! How rude of me not to even mention my name. How unlike me." He smirked. "Though my true name escapes me, I am now known as Spook."
He turned to the light green mare and said, "As for my game, it is to late to say 'no', for you three have already been chosen."
Suddenly, the door shakes a few times from something trying to open them. It took a while, but when the door finally opened a very small blue mare ran in the room. She stopped when she noticed the other ponies and blinked a few times. 'Ponies... but... are they even real? Have i completely lost my mind? Maybe i left it in the other room...' she thought while observing the others, then she decided to speak up. "Um... hi?" She whispered, her ears folded and a very nervous look in her eyes.
((sowwy, couldn't think of anything better :c))
Spook's gaze moved slowly to the new pony. He smiled evilly as the door behind her shut.
The blue mare quickly turned her head to the sound of the shutting door, then returned her sight to the group, noticing one of them smiling menacingly. She cringed a bit, but was rather happy for the company, no matter their intentions. 'At least i'm not alone anymore...' she thought and smile nervously.
"Calm down," Tiger said to Naura before taking a few steps forward.
"Alright, 'Spook', will you let us go if we win your little game of yours?" Tiger calmly asked.
He returned his gaze to the group in front of him, letting it land on the orange mare.
"Perhaps... Though I must say that I never really had you." He laughed almost psychotically.
Tiger's ear twitched. He seemed to have no reason to lie for that part. But if he wasn't the one keeping them here, who is?
Tiger's expression remained the same. She turbed to the ponies behind her and whispered "I don't know if this will be worth our time, but I think attempting this will be better than just walking down a hallway of doors that may never end. Are you all in?"
Naura took some deep breathes, she calmed down a bit, but she would still nott trust this stallion. She waved to the blue pony and screamed:
"Do you trust this stallion?" and waited for a reaction.
The little blue mare remained silent, nopony was talking to her so there was no need to talk. She took a breath to get over her nervousness, but it didn't help much.
"Care to explain this game of yours? I mean, it won't hurt now that we have already been chosen, and let's make a deal; we win and you tell us where we are and how we got here, you win and well- I supose by the corruption in your voice that means absolute death.." Her eye twitched.
"Corruption? That hurts a bit." He chuckled. "My game is one in which... Hm... no, I can't tell tell you that... it would ruin the fun. Though, since you accepted challenge, I suppose I could tell you the rules."
A demented grin spanned his his face as he explained, "Rule one: You are your own worst enemy; Rule two: There is no escape; Rule three: When you get lost and fear for your life, just find ole Spook." His voice shifted to that of almost sane as he mentioned the last rule.
"That doesn't sound like fun..." the little blue mare whispered to herself, keeping her ears down as she listened on.
"Oh, but it is." He said, turning to the blue mare, "At least for me. But you ponies look like a brave bunch, perhaps you'll be the first ones to win."
When Spook spoke to her, Blue raised her left hoof instinctively in a defensive position and her ears flopped down in a sing of submissiveness. "Um... Alright... i guess..." she whispered.
Spook laughed histerically, but suddenly caught hold of a calm and cool face. So quickly, in fact, that it was almost comical.
"I grow weary of speaking; I do believe it is about time we start, hm?"
Naura got a bit sad that the blue unicorn ignored her, but she felt like they couldn't fight in this situation, they had to beat this game.
"No, maybe there are more ponies here that are alive, we could maybe let them "play" too!" Naura screams, trying to keep the
game waiting a little longer, so she could try to prepare and find out what kind of game this will be.
((blue didn't ignore you, just didn't think you were talking to her [nor did i for that matter, sorry :c])
((Yeah but Naura thought she ignored her :P))
the blue mare kept her submissive stance and body language as she whispered. "I don't think there are any others..."
"There, there must be! We can't possibly be all of them! That wouldn't make sense!"
Naura says and starts looking through cell's, and find one that is still closed. She
looks at the mare with a 'help-me-open-this' face and awaits some kind of reaction.
the blue mare kept her ears down and walked up to Naura to assist her in whatever she wanted, unless somepony else would say otherwise, she had yet to figure out this group's hierarchy.
Spook watched as the mares moved towards the closed door. He didn't really care what they did, there was no escape from him now.
"I know there are more players out there; but you are the chosen, and the small one came late, but it was before we started, so she will participate also. By now though, no new players will be accepted. I'm sorry, but no new playmates for you."
Tiger had this feeling in her that something wouldn't go right while they were playing this "game" of his. So she made sure that things would be fair.
"Well, Spook, I don't care what your game is, but we will beat it. That is, if you would consider playing fair," Tiger said, her voice absent of any slight fear, as she paced around Spook. "You will do that, won't you?" It seemed as though Tiger was trying to pressurise Spook into playing fair, abandoning any kind of 'cheating' he may have intended.
"Oh? I always play fair; it's my players that 'cheat'." He said with a grin. Beyond this game, it seemed like Spook might, just maybe have a spark of sanity, if that were even possible. Regardless, his seemed to be hinting towards the group about what lied ahead in his "game".
Tiger simply smirked. "You're probably going to enjoy this game, whatever it is," Tiger said. "Can't say that we'll feel the same. Rest assured, we'll try not to cheat."
At this point, Tiger was staring insanity in the face. For a very slight moment, Tiger's face showed a slight sign of fear, but she held it back.
Putting on a show, you could say.
"I will certainly enjoy it yes, but as for you four... Heh... Don't break any of the rules; if you do, you will lose." His red pupils glared into Tiger's very soul; it was as though he were going through every painful, suppressed memory she had, watching them over and over, and enjoying every second.
"And how exactly can we break 'you are your own worst enemy'?" Blue asked.
"Simple. You become your own best friend, therefore you are not your own worst enemy. Happens to some ponies I know. If you don't want to become your own best friend, then you must never trust yourself," Tiger said. "Or perhaps he's telling us not to trust our senses for he may be about to play some tricks on them..."
"But... when you trust your senses you aren't exactly braking the rule, they'll keep lying regardless if you trust them or not. And the second rule, that's not really a rule as well. It's just the conditions we will be under..." Blue whispered unsurely.
"Really? You're trying to make sense with a guy that looks like this?" Tiger said as she faced Blue, pointing towards Spook's maniacal-like face. "Whatever it is, we're playing this game whether we like it or not."
Naura walks up to Blue and whispers in a really low and quiet voice:
"Don't fight now, our real enemy is this Spook guy."
Spook laughed mockingly at Naura.
"You know, whispering is rude. And futile." He grinned maniacally.
"You have a
answer to everything we do huh? Well then, how many different languages do you speak?"
Naura says and starts poking with her hoof in the ground like a filly, seeming unintrested in everything around her.
"As I said, calm down. Getting angry at him will only make him achieve his goal - to irritate us. Or, at least, that's what seems to be his goal at the moment, for whatever reason," Tiger said as she faced Naura.
This pony is getting a little annoying... Tiger thought to herself.
Naura could understand why the pegasus didn't want her to get angry with this pony, but still not. She had to accept that she, nor the other ponies, didn't want an real fight at this situation, but that would be against her natural instincts. Naura had nothing to say at this moment, she just had to hope for something to go their way in this crisis. Naura didn't show her thoughts tho, she just kept poking in the ground, but she sent a little eye-contact to the pegasus.
Spook merely grinned at the group as they seemingly scrambled for answers. Though some tried to discourage and antagonize him, he could not be wavered in his game. This was unnatural, what he was doing; he didn't normally converse with his players. He couldn't place why he was doing so now. He didn't care much though; he could tell the group's chemistry was going to drive them to his goal much quicker than if he started his game. This was going to be easier than he anticipated.
He sat down, grinning smugly at the group.
At that moment, Tiger turned around and, essentially, stared at Spook.
"Well, someone seems pretty happy with what's happening right now," Tiger said as she took a coupleof steps towards Spook until she was face-to-face with him.
"Listen, I don't care what your actual goal is or why you have it, but is it really necessary for ALL of them to play that game of yours? They don't seem to want to... Not that I'm trying to reason with the face of insanity, of course," Tiger whispered to Spook.
"I do enjoy how all of you address my mental condition when all of you were locked up in these rooms to begin with, or at least that's what I assume. As for my game, I cannot make an exception; all of you were chosen, therefore all of you must play, even the small one. But if you wish to lower all of your chances, I can bend the rules and play all of you one at a time, instead of a relative, oh, what would you call it, team effort?" His whisper seemed to be more frightening than his normal tone.
It was difficult to determine if he where being deceitful or helpful.
((I decided to color his text; I hope that's alright with all of you.))
"So be it... Let's just get this game over with then," Tiger hissed, still staring at Spook as she moved back into the rest of the group.
Whatever this game was going to be, Tiger could tell it would be something bad.
"Very well, then." Spook said.
He tilted his head forward and his horn began to glow with a pitch black aura.
((oh he has a horn
so my depiction of him that i posted on your profile was wrong then X3 ))
Tiger took a step back. Of all magic aura colours, it had to be pitch black, of course. The pegasus watched as Spook did his magic.
The little blue mare hid behind Tiger as Spook did his magic.
Laughing evilly, Spook began to conjure some sort of spell.
"Of blackest day and darkest night,
The mind's shadow of deepest fright,
Casts a shadow on what you hold dear,
To make you face them now; face your fears."
((That sounded more like like Zecora speak than a spell. :l That's why I don't do spell-making.
And for reference, I have an image on my profile page of Spook if you want to see him.)
Face your fears? Tiger thought to herself. This can't end well...
As the words left his mouth, the aura from his horn seemed to pulse and move towards the group. The spell enveloped everypony, and suddenly, they all found themselves alone, each of them in a box of nothingness, with not even a visible floor or wall to greet them.
Tiger was taken aback by the change, to say the least. It felt weird to stand on a floor that was invisible... If there was any floor at all.
Tiger flapped her wings to fly, so that she wouldn't feel as... How would you put it... "unsettled", by her odd surroundings.
The room Tiger was in suddenly changed; it was now a forest. In said forest, she could hear a faint whisper that said nothing fathomable. The whisper grew louder and louder until it finally said something along the lines of "The faceless one is coming."
This forest... It seemed like the forest Tiger had always read about. The one Tiger had always dreaded.
The gray trees. The rough ground. Everything was exactly as Tiger had heard.
Speaking of hearing, the pegasus started hearing a voice...
"O-Of course, S-Slendermane..." Tiger said to herself. Her voice clearly shivered and trembled, just like her. "R-Relax, Tiger... It's not like he's even real, is he? It's probably just that Spook guy playing some sort of trick..."
The one whisper seemed to multiply into two, then three, and so on, overlapping each other, whispering things like "Always watches, no eyes", "Don't look... or it takes you", "Follows", "Nononononono", "Leave me alone."
The whispers fought each other in attempt to be heard, only to make an ugly, disharmonious choir. One of the whispers did, however, manage to speak up over the rest. It said very clearly, "Can't........ RUN"
Suddenly Tiger could feel a presence behind her.
Tiger was overwhelmed by all the voices that seemed to be screaming into her head. She realised they were saying the things the Slender notes would say.
Despite one of the voices saying "Can't run", Tiger ran as soon as she felt that someone, or something, was behind her.
As she ran, the sense of paranoia faded with distance.
Tiger ran a little more before stopping and started thinking rationally to herself. ...Why am I running? I didn't even turn around to see what that was. It could've been someone friendly, or it could be just a cat or something... she thought to herself as she sat down, exhausted from the running.
There was no noise in the forest around her, other than her accelerated heartbeat from her previous running, for several minutes.
Tiger suddenly heard quiet hoofsteps moving towards her. They seemed to stay the same volume until they came to a sudden halt.
Tiger took a deep breath to calm herself down.
"Spook, is that you?" Tiger asked, without turning around.
There was no response. In fact, there was no sound at all, not even breathing.
Tiger took another deep breath. Alright Tiger... You're going to turn around. And you're going to see that there's nothing there, she thought to herself.
And she turned around.
((I don't know how we should let this play out, shall everypony all do one
after one, or all at the same time with this game? It could get pretty weird))
((I think we can do this with everyone going at once. I don't think it would pose a problem if one sequence cut on front of another. It would take a little skimming. It's up to y'all. All you need to do is respond to the black room you have found yourself in to let me know when your ready to start.))

Tiger took another deep breath. Alright Tiger... You're going to turn around. And you're going to see that there's nothing there, she thought to herself.
And she turned around.
((Response? please ovO ))
As it would happen, she had been correct, but something sinister was in the atmosphere. It was as though the whole forest had gone even more silent than before. An ominous feeling set over Tiger.
((Sorry, didn't see your previous post until you pointed it out. X3 ))
Tiger stood up again and took a few steps back.
This isn't good... Who knows what could happen if I stay down here on the ground. I better get airborne, Tiger thought to herself before flying up. After a while of flying through the forest, she rested on a tree branch.
As she rested, she began hearing a low buzzing sound. The sound started to get louder and more concentrated as she rested.
Tiger ears simply drooped. First Slendermane, then bees... What could be worse... Tiger thought to herself.
She took flight again and zoomed off, away from the buzzing sound. Whatever it is, just remember rule two... There is no escape... But you sure can run like heck.
((I like that take on rule two, though it won't take her far, I'm sorry to say. ovO ))
The buzzing wouldn't go away. Instead it seemed to get even closer the faster she flew. On top of the buzzing, the whispering was back, and Tiger sees an odd black and white pony-shaped figure in a small clearing below her.
Tiger continued flying faster, but she turned around while doing so, screaming "JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" while closing her eyes.
The buzzing continued getting louder, and at an even more rapid pace as she yelled and closed her eyes. The buzzing finally got as loud as it could get. Tiger felt a very sharp pain shoot through her wings, along with what felt like a dozen bee stings. The whispering didn't stop either; it had begun growing in intensity and volume, giving her a headache along with the pain in her wings.
The pain caused Tiger to fall to the ground, but she quickly got up and galloped.
Alright... Calm down, Tiger. Calm down, she hastily thought to herself. Why are you even afraid anyway It's just... Forget I asked that.
Tiger has a tendency of thinking to herself a lot.
As Tiger evaded a tree, she nearly runs directly into an abnormally tall pony in a black tux.
Tiger screeched to a halt and looked at the pony in front of her.
It's just like the legend said. Tiger could only back up in fear.

As the words left his mouth, the aura from his horn seemed to pulse and move towards the group. The spell enveloped everypony, and suddenly, they all found themselves alone, each of them in a box of nothingness, with not even a visible floor or wall to greet them.
The little blue mare, standing in complete darkness, started to turn in place. She did this a few times before realizing she was alone again, the darkness around her slowly creeping in her mind as tears swelled in her eyes.
"H-Hello? Anypony here?" She called, but got no answer, she called again, and again no answer. She started to breath fast as tears fell from her eyes onto the nothingness she was standing on, her heart pounding furiously.
Alone... again... she though as she finally just curled to a ball, holding her eyes shut and crying like a little foal.
(Blue Star Sequence)
The nothingness around Blue Star shifted into something, something tangible. The once black room now appeared to be where she was last, everypony
still in tact. The only pony missing from the seen was Spoook.
(Tiger Sequence)
The tall pony took a step forward, revealing several hidden appendages, which undulated in almost complete unison. Tiger's vision started to blur as and her heartbeat accelerated to such a speed that she could hear it pounding. Her vision began to blur and the whispers where screaming in her head, quoting the pages of which were normally collected.
Just when she thought it couldn't be worse, the buzzing noise began again alongside the whispering in her head, creating an orchestra of fear.
the little mare didn't notice the change at first, she remained curled up and cried for Celestia knows how long. Then she opened her eyes and stood up quickly, whipping away her tears, she was happy that that she was not alone anymore, and even more than it wasn't dark anymore.
The others were all happy the monster they had encountered was gone, but before Blue could even say a word, an evil laugh rang out through the hallway. Following the laugh, darkness seemed to seep from either end of said hallway, from the doors that were open, and even from the ceiling.
the blue mare quickly looked around at the approaching darkness and started to panic again. "No no no no no!" She almost yelled and charged her horn, the space above the tip of her horn started to radiate a very bright light in an attempt to fight away the darkness. "The light keeps the shadows away, when you're scared do this little trick..." that was what her father said to her when she was a foal, when he taught her the light spell, and for some reason those words now echoed in her mind.
((Dang, you have a way of making me feel a bit bad for Blue... but not quite enough to deter Spook. ovO ))
The shadows continued to creep towards the group, seeming to completely ignore Blue's spell. The rest of the group began to panic and scream. The darkness was finally upon them.
((hehehe, i'm good at that X3))
It doesn't work... Blue thought as one by one the ponies in the group vanished in the darkness and more tears started to swell up in her eyes. Why doesn't it work? Am i using enough magic? Have i messed up the spell? Or am i just... She thought as the nothingness surrounded her once more, and again she held her eyes shut. "...useless..." she whispered and begun to cry again.
The darkness closed in on Blue until she was the only one left, but the screams from the darkness were still ear-piercing. Waiting for the final ounce of darkness to overtake her, it never did. Instead, there was a small sphere of light surrounding her from where the spell partially worked.
Blue lied on the ground and pressed her hooves against her ears, trying to block out the screams. Keeping her eyes shut she couldn't notice the little effect her spell supposedly had.
The screams began to become distant, getting quieter by the second, until they finally ceased. It was suddenly as quiet as a tomb, except it would seem this tomb was Blue's own.
When the silence fell Blue took her hooves off her ears and slowly sat up.
((kinda don't know what's going on right now, could you... um... describe what she sees and stuff, please? I mean there is supposed to be a 'light sphere' around her if that's still in effect))
As she opened her eyes, she saw only a very small area around her, which consisted mostly of floor and a dim view of the wall she was closest to. Beyond that, all she could see was complete blackness, nothing but shadows.
((A bit better?))
((yup, thanks X3))
Blue looked around the small bubble of hope she had left and sighed. She closed her eyes again and though about the rules given to her, mainly the first one. "I'm my own worst enemy..." she repeated a few times.
While she was repeating the rule, she could swear that there was a low growl just outside of her bubble.
Blue quickly jumped up to her hooves and turned to the growling. "Whatwasthat!?" she yelped. "A-Anypony there?" she asked, shaking while waiting for an answer.
There was no reply, not even a sound of movement. Perhaps it wad her imagination.
Blue stared into the darkness in the direction where she though she heard the growl from, she lied down and stared into the abyss. Nothing... Am I imagining things?
There was no sound for several minutes, until a sudden scratching noise came from behind her. This time she knew it wasn't her imagination.
Again, Blue jumped up and stared into the darkness as she backed up to the edge of the light bubble. That was too real to be just imagination... she thought and looked around if she can see something to try and throw into the darkness.
She spotted a piece of debris that must have fallen from the ceiling at some point.
There was a snarl close to the edge of the bubble where Blue had moved.
Blue cried out and jumped forward, charged her horn and picked up the piece of debris with her unicorn telekinesis spell and throwing it at the snarling sound.
The debris didn't seem to hit anything; it sounded like it just hit the floor within the darkness and skittered off down the hallway.
Blue tilted her head a bit and walked slowly to the edge of the bubble. She raised her hoof and reached out into the darkness.
Nothing happened. Whatever was there seemed to be gone now.
Blue held her hoof up a bit longer and then backed up to the middle of the bubble. She lied down again and closed her eyes. So... Tired... I'll just... rest my eyes... for a while... she thought and before long she was sleeping. It was a long time since she slept decently, and now she was no longer able to stay awake.
After a while of Blue sleeping, she awoke to the sound of heavy breathing at the edge of her bubble.
Blue wasn't even fully to her senses yet as she stood up with half shot eyes and stared into the darkness again. Fear, however, quickly made her filly awake and aware. It seemed to her as if her bubble got smaller, and she was still alone, or was she? There's definitely something out there... she thought.
She had not identified where exactly the breathing was coming from. By chance she turned her head slightly and saw that the noise was coming from some horrifying beast that sat, staring at her.
The beast's body was not in view, but it's face made up for what might lie in the shadows. Its face was that of one's worst nightmares. The head looked to be about the size of a dragon, but the face of the beast seemed corrupt. The features were grotesque; it had one eye, which was completely red with a black dot in the center; it had an oddly shaped snout, which was almost penetrating the bubble; a forked tongue, which lychee out of its mouth every few seconds, as though it was feeling for something; the head was also covered in black scales. The weirdest part about the creature was that in its other eye socket, there was a round glass ball, which seemed to be clouded.
Blue clenched her teeth when spotting the creature. It's eyes and overall look, although grotesque, made her feel uneasy, it was the same feeling pray gets when staring in the face of their predator. She backed up and charged her horn again, not even knowing what she's doing she tried the light spell again, she concentrates all her magic into this one spell.
The spell doesn't seem to work, and the creature doesn't seem amused by the spell. The creature lashed its tongue out at the bubble, placing an oddly visible crack in it.

There was nothing that scared Tiger more than this, until she decided she had enough of being scared.
Mustering courage, Tiger yelled "A-Alright now, LISTEN HERE, MR. SLENDER! I have had ENOUGH of being scared of you my ENTIRE life, and you know what!? I shouldn't even be scared of you! All you do is lurk around in some boring forest and feed off the fear of the ponies you trap here! So what will happen if you have a pony that has no fear for you to feed off, huh? And don't even get me started on the bees!"
Slendermane didn't stop after her outburst, and neither did the bees, nor the whispers, but through all of the commotion, one of the whispers spoke up once more and said: "Rule Three..." The whisper quieted down again and quickly merged with all of the other noises.
((bees, my god XDXD))
Blue quickly weighted her options, either to try and make a run for if through the darkness, or stay in the relative safety of the bubble and keep concentrating on the light spell. She was just about to start running when she remembered the second rule. ""There is no escape..." she whispered and backed a bit, then just sat down and kept at her spell, quickly burning through her mana reserves, not even she knew how long she could keep this up.

Upon hearing that voice, Tiger kicked a rock into Slendermane's face and quickly ran away, looking for a certain other pony.
All of her fear had now converted to anger, essentially.
(Blue Star Sequence)
The crack was sealing itself as Blue used her magic, but the thing outside her bubble obviously wanted in. The creature lashed the bubble again, and this time it made a much larger crack than before. Strangely enough, the darkness outside the bubble began pouring in, like water through a glass dome.
The light began to go out, despite Blue's efforts, and the monster was becoming more restless by the minute.
(Tiger Sequence)
The horrors still chased after Tiger, not choosing to leave her be due to the recent revelation. She searched for a while, managing to stay ahead of Slendermane and the bee swarm, but to no real avail.
At that point, Tiger just screeched to a halt (again). Oh, what's the point... she thought to herself. Even if I keep looking, they'll just catch up to me after I run out of energy, then I'll probably die or something. She turned around to face Slendermane and the bees. The least I can do is die without fear.
So she took a step forward towards the things that scared her most, right up to their noses.
"I'm not afraid of you."
The world around Tiger suddenly rippled. Both Slendermane and the bee swarm stopped moving entirely mid-sprint/flight, and the noises that had been haunting her mind were silenced all at one moment. The sounds were replaced by another voice.
"What was that, Tiger?"
Tiger was still staring at Slendermane. "I'm. Not. Afraid." She said it louder and clearer this time.
"Oh? Really?" The voice said, seemingly closer than before. The owner laughed. "Not even a little?"
"Don't you dare mock me!" Tiger yelled, kicking the stationary Slendermane.
((Tiger's punches are stronger than her kicks, so the fact that she's kicking it probably says something ovO))
"Very well, then. I won't. I will instead applaud the victor." The voice said, now clear as day, from behind her. "Congratulations."
Tiger turned around to see the owner of the voice.
((Who I presume is Spook? :D))
((Indeed.))
There Spook stood, grinning in an oddly sane manner. As she looked at him, she noticed his eyes were normal now; instead of having to black eyes with red pupils, he had normal eyes.
"I am rather impressed in how you were able to keep cool there at the very end."
Tiger seemed to take comfort in seeing Spook. She smirked.
"When you think you're about to die, you tend to see things differently."
He chuckled. "Yes, this is true."
"So, are the others going through their worst nightmare as well?" Tiger asked, curious to know what happened to the ponies she was with.
"Indeed they are." Spooks expression grew grim.

Blue's reckless handling of magic made the red aura around her horn slowly die out like a flame of a candle that has no more fuel. The liquid properties of the darkness remained as the bubble filled out, the spot Blue was standing on gave way and she dropped down, floating in the darkness. There was no light, there was no sound, there was no up, there was no down. The creature, even if it was still there, could not be seen because of that.
And so the little mare was, drifting away in an unknown direction, surrounded by deafening silence and alone. She held her breath, out of pure instinct, if the darkness acts like water she will drown, or so she thought. As fear rushed through her veins her memory started to show her life for her. Every memory, no matter how painful came to her attention.
Is this the end...? Am i really gonna die, alone and forgotten...? She thought, needless to say that tears raced out of her eyes.

"Indeed they are." Spooks expression grew grim.
"Ah... Well, I hope they make it through then. So what do we do now, sit and wait?"
When Naura got surrounded by the darkness, she felt like she was going to give off a suprised/scared scream, but put her hoof in her mouth before being able too. She quickly curled up into a ball on the ground and hold her hooves over her eyes, her reaction was like a baby filly playing hide n' seek, if she couldn't see anything, nothing could see her. She heard a small sound, didn't take a pause to think and used her hind legs to kick if there was anything behind her. She didn't feel if anything received her legs, but soon heard the sound again. She kept kicking until she realized the sound was from her own nose rubbing to the ground everytime she took a deep breath. She felt stupid and slowly sat up. Then she removed her hoof from one of the eye's hoping to be back, but nothing had changed, she was still stuck in the dark place, she started to shiver and gasped several times, then she fell back onto the ground.

"I will not lie; I wish for them to win as well. It feels like a breath of fresh air having somepony actually win my game. And yes, we must sit and wait for your companions."

The breathing of the being hadn't ceased, but the sound of its movements made it seem as though it were lost, and with that, unable to locate Blue. The sounds of the creature began to become quiet over time, as though it were getting further away from her. The sound of the creature became so distant that Blue could barely hear it anymore. It seemed like she was safe for the moment.
(Naura Sequence)
The area around Naura shifted. It changed into something of a mansion's interior. The place was actually aesthetically pleasing; the walls were a beautiful tint of sky blue and the floor was made up of white glossy tiles that seemed to almost act as a mirror. There were several Corinthian style columns protruding from the floor; they looked like they were holding up the second floor, which was just a balcony that looped around, overlooking the lobby. Doors lined the outside perimeter of both floors. There was, however, no exit.
"Well, if I wanted to be stuck somewhere, this is one of the places I'd be okay with" Naura thought until she turned around and realized that the room was way bigger than she thought it was. She started breathing heavier but tried to calm down, she backed into one of the corners of the room so she could watch the whole room from there.
There was no noise in the mansion at first, other than the sound that echoed from Naura's hoofsteps. After a few minutes of her cowering in the corner, she heard a door open, then close. It sounded like it came from the second floor.
((How do I get to the second floor, any stairs?))
Naura looked up to the second floor, excpecting to see somepony, but she couldn't find who or what could have made the noise, but her curiosity went before her fear in this moment, and she started walking out of the corner.

Being alone in the darkness, Blue's sanity began to waver as she succumbed to her fears, her mind slowly falling into madness. She already forgot almost everything and then, in the midst of loosing herself to the darkness forever, she heard a voice. A familiar, loving voice, the voice came from everywhere and nowhere at the same time, the voice sounded blurry.
Are you afraid, Blue? "Who..." It's alright to be scared, you know. "Are..." Fear can help you. "You..." the voice became clearer and a image of a white unicorn stallion flashed in Blue's mind.
Don't be ashamed of being scared, and whatever you do, don't run from it. The image and words of her father helped her regain her sanity, she remembered the third rule.
"When you're scared, find spook..." she whispered and whipped away tears from her eyes. She looked around and called.
"Spook! Where are you?!" she started to "swim" in a random direction.
((thanks for the advice, Rush X3))

((Yeah, there are stairs. Sorry, forgot to mention them.))
As she ventured to the second floor, there was something Naura noticed: there were no decorations; the walls were vacant of any pictures and hangings; there was nothing that could indicate who lived there.

As she "swam" in this sea of darkness, she continued searching for Spook, but with no success. She searched for what felt like an hour. Even with the creature making noises in the background, she couldn't help but to feel alone.

"Breath of fresh air, huh? Am i the first one to win in a long time? It's not that hard once you get some courage and make a resolve, really," Tiger said as she sat down.
"First to win in a long time? No, Tiger, you are perhaps the first to ever win." He laughed, then his ears perked straight up. "I have a sinking suspicion that one of your companions is about to lose. I must be off for a moment."
With that, he disappeared, leaving Tiger alone in the now-blank plain that one hosted her own personal forest of fears. It hadn't been spoken of, but when the scene rippled earlier, the forest began to disappear, and now it is completely gone. The place Tiger was now in was just a flat grassy field.

Blue drifted through the darkness, searching for Spook. The liquid properties of her surroundings slowly disappeared, she didn't even notice the transition but now she was running. And, she could see again, just a bit but better than being blind. She could make up strange crystal like shapes around her, reminding her of a crystal cave. She stopped and her eyes raced across the landscape, towering crystals and massive drops everywhere, and almost no light, every step she would take could prove fatal.

After Spook had completely disappeared, Tiger heaved a sigh of relief. Of course, she was STILL scared of Slendermane and bees. She only managed to gain courage and have no fear for that very short moment. But now she had won, and although she may still be scared in the futue, it was a celebration right now... For her, at least.

"Hmmm, I don't get it, the room is big and so, but, I don't get what I'm supposed to do here?" She said loudly to herself hoping somepony was going to hear her. She would probably still be in the corner if it wasn't for her curiosity completly killing any fear, even if this should be one of the situations she should be on her guard at all times, she felt like she was missing something right before her eyes...

Naura suddenly heard laughter from one of the rooms, and, soon after, noticed that said room's door was open.

Though there were drops, they were a good distance away from one another; nothing to worry about so long as she watched her step.
With slow, timid steps Blue walk forward through the the darkened cave, watching carefully where she puts every hoof, trying to find Spook in this confusing environment. The running and swimming from before, as well as her reckless use of magic, as well as the overall fear she felt left her heavily fatigued, her head was spinning a bit and the odor of the cave made her sick from her stomach.
In some stroke of luck, or perhaps misfortune, Blue began to hear mumbling somewhere in the cave. What was being said was incomprehensible, but it was audible nonetheless.
Blue concentrated on the mumbling, trying to make out what the voice or voices were saying, but couldn't, they were just too far. She started to walk a bit faster, not paying as much attention on her footing (hoofing? idk) and tried to get to the source of the mumbling. Whoever it is, they might help me... she thought.
((What? Rooms? I don't get it xP))
Naura went up to the door and was going to peek in, but dragged her head back. She had to be ready to find almost anything in there, so she sat down and took some breathes, then she stood up again and quietly peekd in with one eye.
(Blue Star Sequence)
As Blue moved towards the mumbling, she could make out a bit of what it was saying. It was saying things like "The darkness... is... too much..." and "So cold... So lonely..."
Blue could now see the figure that owned the voice, but she couldn't quite make out its shape.
(Naura Sequence)
Naura saw two figures in the dim light of the room. The figures were about the right shape and size to be ponies.
((I said there were doors lining the oudside walls of both floors, just no exit.))
Blue picked up her pace when she understood the words. "Hey, i'm here too, you don't have to be lonely anymore..." She called as she galloped, knowing full well just how being alone can hurt.
When Blue approached the figure, she realized something was a bit off about its voice.
As she moved even closer, she realized that the figure was, in fact, her. The other her, however, had eyes that matched that of Spook's.
When Blue got close she stood still in shock for a moment, but then decided to go closer, until she got to jumping distance where she stood still again. "H-Hey... are you ok?" She asked in a caring voice. What the hay is going on? she thought.
The other Blue ignored her presence and continued mumbling.
"Friends... gone. N-no hope. Nothing in the shadows... just... just... ME!" With that the other Blue looked directly at the original, glaring and snarling at her, tears still streaming down its face.
As they both stared at each other Blue realized that she too was crying. She came closer to the copy, ignoring the her growling and gently wiped away her tears. "It's alright, you're not alone anymore..." She said and smiled. "We are not alone..." she whispered.
The copy stopped growling and stared. It seemed to not know what to do.
The copy, after a while of staring, smiled and said in a much calmer tone, "You are never alone." The copy blinked, and as she opened her eyes, they were normal.
Before Blue could say anything, the other disappeared into a small ball of light.
Blue didn't know what to think, she just stared at the ball of light. After a while she tried to touch it with her hoof, to see what will happen.
Blue's hoof phased through the ball. Strangely, it only produced enough light to be seen, not making quite enough light to see any of the surrounding area. The ball did not move at all, it just floated there, acting only as a small light within the darkness.
Blue lied down near the light and sighed. She didn't feel alone anymore and there was light now, sure the light was small but it was sufficient for her, she wasn't scared anymore. She lied her head down and wondered what to do now.
The noises in the cave never ceased, not even during the short conversation with Blue's copy; the wind still howled, but it somehow seemed to be more distant now. It was so faint that Blue could barely hear it over her own breathing.
Blue sighed and thought of it for a bit longer. "I am not afraid anymore." She whispered and stood up. "Do you hear me? I'm not scared!" She yelled with a confident voice.
The howling wind in the background grew louder. It grew so loud, in fact, that some of the ceiling crystals began to give way and fall to the floor below. The orb of light that was still floating began glowing brighter and brighter, until it illuminated the entire cave, which was now falling appart. An opening in the roof above her appeared as the rest of the cave collapsed around her.
Over the sound of destruction, a familiar voice calmly said, "Are you quite sure, Blue?"
"I still fear the dark and being alone, but i am not scared... Does that even make sense?" She asked and lied down again, tired from the whole ordeal.
The cave finished crumbling, revealing a night sky.
A laugh, followed by the voice, suddenly eminated from behind Blue. "I do suppose that counts for something. At least you faced your fears. Though, at one point I really expected you to lose."
"I saw my dad, it helped me..." Blue whispered and gave a gentle smile. "What about the others?" she asked.
He grinned and said, "Tiger won the game a little while ago, but the others are still pending."
((His eyes are normal now.))
"And i guess you wont let me out of here until they've finished, huh." Blue sighed, then finally noticed Spooks eyes and smiled. "But that's alright, i'll just rest here..." She whispered and lied her tired head down, closing her eyes and slowly drifting away into a dream.
He chuckled quietly as he disappeared, leaving her to her dreams.
((Oh, my bad))
Naura decided to wait outside the room and listen to the two 'ponies' because it may help her more than just walking in on them. She moved her head away so it couldn't be seen and then she hold her breathe so they couldn't hear her. Then she just had to keep waiting for the two 'ponies' to say something useful.
The voices continued on with whatever they were saying. Naura could just barely understand a few of the words, but they weren't really useful, just words that would be used in everyday gossip.
Naura continued to listen to the figures inside, until one of them finally said something comprehensible. It said, "She does know that it's rude to eavesdrop, doesn't she?"
Naura got suprised but decided that if they knew she was just out the door, why should she keep standing there? She slowly walked to the door again and kicked it open screaming, hoping to scare them. After, she stood down and just giggled, she then turned up to look at the two ponies.
The light from outside the room wasn't quite enough to reach the two pony-figures, but it did light up the room a little.
One of the figures giggled in a way that sounded like a mare and said, "Quite a show she just put on, wouldn't you say?"
The other, who had spoken just before Naura entered, laughed in a stallion's tone and said, "Yes, quite."
Naura stared at them as if she had known them her whole life, tilted her head a little and asked:
"Soo, what are you two doing?" With a sweet voice.
"Oh, we were just talking." The mare said.
"You may join us if you'd like."
"Sure" She happily answerd and went up to them with a little grin. When she got closer to them, she smiled at them and put her curious face on.
((Had to re-post this so I can bump))
((Sorry, had to take a day break from this. The horror part of my imagination was about to run dry, and that wouldn't have been good. It's all good now, though. Let's continue, shall we? ovO ))
As Naura walked further into the room, a chill hit her, making her shiver, but the other two didn't move.
After shiverring she kept going against the two ponies, waiting for atleast one of them to respond.
"Well nice of you to finally join us, Naura."
"Heh, yeah, soo, what are you two doing here?" Naura asked the two ponies.
((What race are they? I'm guessing Unicorns))
((It's too dim in the room to determine what race they are, so I guess it doesn't matter.))
"We just decided to come here off of a whim." The mare said while giggling.
"Yes; no real reason." The stallion agreed with his friend. The last part of his statement sounded a bit off from his normal voice.
"Yeah, umm, but when I said what are you doing here, I meant, literally, what are you doing here?" Naura replies with a blushing smile. X3
((I'm not sure I know what you mean by "what".))
((What = What are they doing this moment?))
"Like we said, we were just talking, enjoying a cup of tea." The mare said as she tilted her head.
"Oh, well, I'm thirsty, got some tea left I can take?" Naura asks and looks around in the room.
"But of course." The stallion said as a teapot, as well as a small cup, levitated to Naura. The teapot poured some steaming liquid into the cup.
"Oh thank you so much" Naura replies and holds the cup in her front hooves and starts to drink. She quickly lowers the cup and looks up and asks:
"What sort is this? I love the taste!" and then she keps drinking.
((Shall we keep this up or is something going to happend?))
(( ovO ))
As Naura finished drinking, she notices a very odd aftertaste. It tastes bitter, with a hint of sour. Suddenly, Naura felt light-headed, and the once dim room became bright. She looked at the two figures that she was speaking to, just to see that they were actually pony-sized dolls. The door behind her slammed shut and the dolls disappeared in a puff of darkness.
"Whu- what is going on here? What tea sort was it, I need moar" Naura ends her sentence with a little chuckle and starts to rise up from the floor.
Though the room was lit now, there was oddly no furniture. It was designed to match the rest of the mansion Naura had seen, except the floor had light-colored carpeting.
Naura looks around and thinks to herself.
'I won't get scared by ponies actually being dolls, let's do what everypony should do when scared' Then she takes a deep breath and starts singing in a try to keep bad thought reaching her head.
As she sang, the room became dim again, and the strangest thing began to happen: the room started expanding.
In the beggining it wasn't notiable, but the bigger the room grew the lower Naura sung. She didn't like this one bit. She started running in hope of finding a corner.
The faster Naura moved, the faster the room increased in size, not allowing her access to any of the corners.
Naura stopped when she realized that the room just got bigger. She started to become a little uneasy in her head and crawled into a little ball on the floor, holding over her hurting head.
As she laid down, she felt something bulging in the carpet underneath her.
"Huh?" Naura looked under her and looked at the carpet with a confused face.
She could see a small tear in the carpet where she had been laying and the shape of something beneath it.
"Oh, no, don't tell me that..." Naura slowly said and qickly stood up.
The shape beneath the carpet was a rectangular shape; perhaps a small box, or.maybe some type of trap door.
"Pheew" Naura said and started to dig on the carpet in a try to get the rectangular thing up from the carpet.
Naura's hoof caught in the tear, causing the carpet to rip, and revealing that the thing was, in fact, a trap door.
"Hmm" Naura slowly started to open it, getting ready to expect anything underneath it.
((Sorry for these one liners, I'm just not too creative atm))
Darkness was the only thing Naura could see, and a strange aroma wafted up from the trap door. The smell was difficult to identify, but it was reminiscent of nature. The door itself was also aesthetically pleasing, which made the room beyond, though dark, inviting.
Naura looked on the room from above and started thinking.
'If this leads to a place out of this "mansion" I'm willing to risk it', she then backed away ten meters and quietly stated;
"I'm not afraid" and then she ran up to the hole and jumped, closing her eyes when she felt she was going downwards.
Bump!!!
((RUSH! Come on already...))
((A-alright... ono Sorry, I kinda forgot about this one...))
Naura landed quickly on the floor below mere moments after she jumped. The smell of plants was almost overwhelming in the room she was now in.
"Mmmm, I like that smell" She thinks and start to trip towards the smell.
As Naura walked, she tripped over something, and suddenly couldn't move. Lights in the room lit up, revealing the room for what it was: a laboratory. Around this laboratory, plants lined tables that were against the wall opposite the room from where Naura fell.
As Naura lied, she realized she was now on a short table, and she was somehow strapped down do it.
((haven't been paying much attention to this X3 how's it going?))
((It has gone virtually nowhere for a week because I forgot about it...))
"Gaah! What, what is this?" Naura scream and starts to turn on the table in a try to get off.
The straps seemed to tighten as Naura struggled to become free.
The room was nearly silent, other than the sound of Naura's struggles, and the eerie sound of tiny footsteps among the tables of plants.
Naura remember seeing a video of a pony being strapped to a table, and starts to scream. The video was scary as buck, even if it was only was animated. Naura feels like she is in the exact same situation and only starts to scream even more.
(I wasn't scared, but... but...) She thinks as she continues to yell.
As she screamed, the footsteps got closer and closer to her. Soon, they sounded like they were coming from just over her head.
Naura shut up and started shaking when she heard the hhofsteps right behind her.
Suddenly, the table turned on its side, revealing what the owner of the footsteps looked like. It was a small, plant-like creature, similar to a mandrake. It stood very still as it stared at Naura, as if observing her reaction to it.
Naura stopped to shake.
"Aww, that's just cute" She says and giggles.
((Not for long. ovO ))
The creature smiled at Naura, and even giggled, but as it did, some type of liquid squirted from its mouth and into Naura's eyes. The strange liquid burned her eyes and, when she tried to open her eyes, she was completely blind.
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Naura screams out, probably to be heard in a mile's distance.
The plant-thing ran off, leaving Naura by herself.
The stale holding Naura down released and she fell to the floor.
Naura backed up to the stone thing, she would feel better without space behind her back.
((Wait, what stone thing? o.O ))
((Naura think's the thing she laid on was made of stone))
((Oooooh.))
As Naura backed up, she realized the table was no longer there.
Now Naura started to get really scared, but she took deep breaths trying to calm down.
Other than the sound of Naura's breathing, the room was completely silent.
Naura's head get easier as she keeps breathing, then she lays down with her head facing the floor, mumbling with a sleepy voice:
"vavfov kov jav hif..." as her voice fades.
While Naura slept, several of the little plant creatures surrounded her. Each one grabbed her and began to drag her off.
Naura really didn't care anymore, these guys was probably going to put the "stuff" on her so she would feel the burning feeling all over her body. She didn't understand what to fight against... Then she rememberd what she had been thinking just before she jumped down the hole.
"I'm not afraid", That could discribe her situation right now, she just wasn't scared of what the creatures could to. She turned her head to where one of the sounds came from, opening her blind eyes, like staring at it, and said three words.
"I'm, not, afraid!"
With the uttering of those words, her vision came back to her, but instead of seeing a plant creature, she saw only a set of pale white hooves.
"Are you quite sure about that, Naura?"
Naura got suprised, but all her fears was lifted when she could see again.
"I'm, not, afraid!" She said again.
"Hm... You seem convinced." The hooves' owner said with a laugh. One of the hooves reached out to Naura, as to offer to help her up.
Naura took it and rubbed her neck with the other.
The hoof lifted her to her hooves, revealing that the owner of the hoof was actually Spook.
Naura gave of a gasp of happiness and smiled at Spook, not caring about what happend before.
"Congratulations, Naura. It would appear as though you have won." Spook said, grinning.
((alright, so what now? XD))
"Huh, what about the others?"
Spook's smile widened as he said, "Blue Star and Tiger have already won." His expression suddenly turned grim. "But, for some reason, Jay has not begun. I don't know what is wrong; normally the game would be half over by this point. Hm..."
