So... Twice or three times in one night, I noticed Russians who came onto the site who didn't speak English, and both times, I had to translate for them... Is there by any chance we can have a thread where new people who don't speak english can ask others to translate for them? Because PERSONALLY, I like the idea of having a site that can be used world-wide, but I was told that it's against a rule that you can't speak any other language than english... Is that true?
Google translator exists for a reason. Having a threat just to translate sentences to English would be about as useful as a fifth wheel on a car.

Well, I'm not meaning to point any hooves at anypony but I know....someone....who uses Google translate (I think) and he makes about as much sense as a polar parka in the dessert...
But yes....we do have Google translate for a reason...

Yes, I beleave it is, Our Moderators only speak English and they don't have the room to get new ones to speak each and every language. If we did it JUST for the Russians then the Spanish, or German, or something would want us to get mods for them next! Also, I do think it'd be annoying for ALL of us to have 3 other languages flying by...
Pretty much what MrEmu said. I apologize, but trying to accommodate for the native languages of everyone here would be complicated and could get messy. During the stress test, we saw more languages than just Russian and English. There was also German and Spanish, and I think French. That's a lot of languages to try to make room for, and besides, we don't have the time nor the resources to fully translate the game itself to accommodate those languages, either.
Keeping everything in English keeps everything very simple, smooth, and easier to manage and moderate.
