The Temple and Monastery of Harmony. Since long, it has been the paradise for those who wish to devote their lives to learn all the ways and the secrets of Harmony. It exists almost as long as me and Luna, being founded short after the fall of Discord and his reign of chaos. They have discovered uncountable applications for the harmonic energy that surrounds the world, to the fields of medicine to the ones of martial arts, and in it's entirety these applications are called by the name of Harmonic Arts. Today, their monks are either teaching the next generation at the Monastery or scattered around the world as missionaries, helping any soul in need and asking nothing in return. Since it's beginning, it has been of great help to maintain the harmony of today's society. As it should be noticeable by now, We have always kept in contact with them, to discuss the most diverse issues about Our reign and society. The greater monk, known as Grandmaster Guang, is not only a wise ally, but also a precious friend of mine.
But since two weeks ago, We have not heard a single word from or about them. Our letters cannot make it's way through the magical flames, and to make it worse, even the scouting party We have sent to investigate has been lost. That is why We have gathered you all here. We ask for your help to investigate the whereabouts of the scouting party, and to gather information about what happened to the Temple and Monastery of Harmony. But be aware: We don't know what dangers lies ahead. Of course, you can refuse this mission if you don't want to go. We will understand perfectly. But if you choose to accept it, We will be thankful from the bottom of Our hearts.
So, this is my first RP idea ever. For those who have played in an RP with my OC named Tian Long might have heard she metioning about this Temple and Monastery of Harmony. I liked this idea so much that I wanted to estabilish it's concept better, give this idea a new light. And the best way I found to do so was to make an adventure RP where you'll learn more about this place and it's teachings and secrets the farther you go.
So, anyone interested? ^-^

I've thought about that, and it'll be like most of the RPs I've played: You start with your usual and normal level of power, and as you procceed you'll become stronger, to the point you'll be realtively OP if compared to yourself at the beginning. But as the enemies' level are balanced with the party's, it won't really seem OP, because everything will be OP at the end. No one will get more powerful than the other, and what you learn here won't really interfere with other RPs, if you want to use it in the future, because you'll always have to balance your character to fit the RP's level.

But let's keep things going and try to make this interesting enough for other people to join! I'll work on my post right now. If he/she comes back, it won't be hard to introduce his character there.
Sadly I see people jumping more towards jumpin RPs :U What's so bad is that although some started out good... Overtime they started slagging on longer and longer till the point it's not even good anymore, yet people prefer to go to them over the newer things @.@ Just... DARhngiofkml :U
I hardly play those... I like more controlled, organized and structured RPs. But I fear me being a new GM might make people insecure if it's going to be good. I just hope I can make it good enough for them to take interest.
Yeah... I think the problem is that for people to come to your RP you need to have a good reputation and widely known throughout the community... Not too many people are willing to take risks with new people @.@.
What ends up taking the opportunity of new GMs to grow. I've played a bunch of RPs, but it's my first time GM-ing anything. I've always wanted to try, but have been kinda insecure, until I came to the conclusion of "I can't ever know if I'm a good GM if I don't try once, and I'll never get better if I don't do it twice". Being in such an important position in the RP will force me to work harder, as I won't just act, but also create, what will improve my creativity and description skills, besides my english, as I'm not a native speaker.
But in order to do so, I need players. That's why I thank you and SuperNova for giving me this opportunity. ^-^

Oh yeah, Art, this is something very important I probably should tell before we reaaaaally get started; There's a reason why Price speaks about 9 days.
This was something I wanted to show up in the "When Darkness Falls" RP at some point, buuuut given it's current pace I may as well spoil the moment here :T
Price, of course, looks mildly different from any changeling drone COMMONLY known in Equestria. The hive his mother hailed from originally, Nekropolis acts vastly different from his behavior, but he does share a few traits with them, such as having a 2nd pair of eyelids for protection against bright lights, more perforated hooves, and elusive. One very important detail I wanted to make clear in the other RP is that on every Full Moon, members of Nekropolis undergo an unusual phenomena, going out of their usual consciousness and falling into a seemingly trans-like state. Should he come across somepony who is not a member of the hive... He will violently react without knowing what his actions are.
He usually carries around Anesthetics to keep the adrenaline levels from overflowing and clouding his mind. Although, ever since the Darkness RP, he's ran out, so afterwords, Smelling Salts are used a substitute to keep his consciousness in mind. Granted, in this state he has... Somewhat more control over his actions, his strength increases due to the hysteria he forces himself through. This, of course, has a serious drawback, as he could end up with damaged muscles or broken bones due to lactic acid production burning through tissues... That and with whatever increased force his attacks may have.
Well, sorry for the delay on my posts lately. This week has been really full, and [sarcasm] to make everything a lot better [/sarcasm] I just got the most annoying cold ever. I'll try to post the arrival at the Hollow Shades later today, and after that I'll also require Super Nova's post. I wasn't really worried with him because all that was happening was some chat, and I just assumed his characters didn't want to talk anymore. But things are going to move, so it's better if both players post, so no one will stay behind.
And, The Stars, we are acutally building a pretty good relationship between Price and Tian that will serve as a nice background for them in this RP in "When Darkness Fall"! Let's see how thing will work out here.

Well, sorry for not posting anything for so long, but college was really tough and I didn't have much time to think about how to make things here move the way I want. One thing is to follow someone's story, but creating your own is completely different.
Now things are getting a lot easier here, as most of the subjects has already been finished and I just need to finish and submit a work until Monday, and then that's it! I'll still have other things to do, but I'll have a lot more time to put on this, and if everything goes as expected, this can be back on track next week.
If SuperNova doesn't mind, he can make his post for the last round of posts.

Yeah, I'm getting the same ordeal right now in High School with AP Art classes... Apparently needless stress since it won't consider as collage credit when I get into collage, so that just kills me.

I just read through all of your posts Art, so I'm fairly appraised as to what's happened thus far lol. I wanted to discuss the possibility of me signing up a character. I'd put it up on the sign-ups but I have a very distinct idea of who I'd like to play and if it doesn't work with your game, I'll understand and head off.
Still, we've never really gotten a chance to RP together and I'd be interested in seeing what you plan on doing for this game. So if you wouldn't mind I'd like to offer up my services as something of . . . a trickster, not an antagonist but really just one who has been searching a different end of 'enlightenment' and his ideas don't always correlate with those of the harmony monks or the princess.

The Plan!
OKAY! I'm thinking about having Fei IN town, already. I'll say he wandered in a day or two ago and as he doesn't have any money he really wants to part with at the moment, because he DOES have money lol, He's doing his best to beg and he's trading out psalms and poetry for food or shelter. You can say the townsfolk are irritated or enjoying his presence as you like. Either works for my initial plan lol, whatever works better for you!
I'll have him sitting on a rock or the garrison of the town (if walls or protection there is) when the players enter. Let me know if you want me to put his initial 'getting to the city' post XD. As he got there a day or two before though . . . it might be a little temporally confusing, so just give me a heads up on what you think will work best :3.
I think the plan is good! I don't think it's really necessary to explain how he got to the town, so you can just make an introduction post, telling what is Fei doing while the other were arriving. If you want, you're also free to describe small actions and reactions from some of the townsfolk, if Fei interacts with anyone. Otherwise, you can only describe Fei's action and overall location. As soon as I finish something I'm doing, I'll make a post describing the town, so you'll have more to work out with. But for now, you can imagine it as some sort of darker Ponyville, with more goth-like structures, houses made of stone bricks and/or a dark type of wood that merges with the natural dark trees from the forest, and few candles and lanters to provide only the amount of light needed to be able to see.
*snaps* Got it, off to see what I can do. First post will probably be my shortest one but it should, hopefully, have everything it needs lol
Right, so I'm gonna say Fei fell asleep, so please continue without me for a touch. He'll wake up soon enough, just soon enough to cause some trouble. Although falling asleep was exceptionally rude and the like (and I do hope you have Slash react appropriately XD, this isn't just 'oh I'm gone so it's fine', I'm talking serious in-character someone fell asleep on you while you were talking, nonsense!)
