Scythe trotted into the fancy casino. The plush red carpets and shiny desks were things he wasn't used to. He saw a few customers but he tried to stay hidden but there wasn't much to hide behind. He noticed Rad and his heart skipped a beat. Great. This wouldn't end well. The draconic pony spotted the stairs and began to climb up them. He had been called there to meet the manager but he wasn't sure why. Atleast he had gotten a job! Everypony else would run away screaming 'dragon!' at every occuptation he tried out for.
Moonlight's ear flickered hearing hoofsteps but didn't bother turning since it was probably somepony going upstairs.
Sounds good! I'll try one of those. Just bring one up to me on the casino floor! :D
Moonlight looks at Rad. You don't even know what's in it though..

Vick walked into the casino suprised at it's wonder. He had only 1: paid for it all. And 2: gave the blue prints the the builders.
He very much enjoyed Spaz's ideas, he was so full of them. And not a single one of them wasted his easy eared bits.
Vick looked around the gleaming neon place with ponies haveing a good ol time.

Moonlight tips him so he falls on his back. Of course you can big guy. he walks to Rad's room and lays him on his bed then walks out and closes his door behind him.

Skullz takes the key and goes into her room. She falls asleep and wakes up pretty early the next morning.

Moonlight woke up groggily. Ugh it's not even 6 and I feel like I got run over by Big Mac and Roid Rage carrying the princesses. He shook it off and washed his face to wake up then headed to the slots.

and takes out 50 bits."Thats all I have, and since food is free here I dont need it for anything else. So should I just give you the bits?"
Sure. She puts the bits in an electronic machine. Okay so when I swipe the card the bits will be on it. She swipes the card and hands it to Frost. There you go.
Frostberry takes the card."Thanks." She takes a sip of her drink.

I finally got him up, but not before he sent out a couple more ice spells in his sleep, and trying to order more blue haze.
"Sounds bad..." She stands up and stretches."Wanna go for a walk?"
Moonlight made it outside and sat up against a tree and closed his eyes.

Well, like I said, I do parkour, which is basically me using the world around me to do awesome stunts. B)

Moonlight stares at Rad angrily then uses Wind step to quickly get behind them both and holds his keyblade out as if he were going to strike. Then learn to keep your distance. he said coldly then flew to the roof.
*Rad shielded Frost, then watched Moon fly off* What in Luna's name was all that about?! o.O
Frostberry looks at Rad."He needs your help...Even if he dont want it. And as long hes like that it would be better if we..." She gulps."If we..."

She yawns."I need to sleep about all this...Will you stay here with me? Im afraid of...Moon.."

Moonlight comes back with his bag of winnings he had in his room and quietly makes their room cold then walks off.
"Thanks." She gives him a small kiss then lays under the blanket."Its verrry cold in here."

Moonlight keeps watching and shakes his head.
Scythe woke up in his room, one that he had hardly slept in. He was used to sleeping on stone floors or hard surfaces and he stumbled out of his room feeling in the wrong.
Frostberry smiles. Suddenly she sees Moon and screams."W-What are you doing here?"
At the scream, Scythe flew up and hit his head on the ceiling of the hall.
"Ugh....what was that?" He asked himself and began flying dizzily around.
*Rad pops up from his sleep* What's wrong? *looks over at moon* Moon?! *shields Frost*
I've been here the whole time. You two are really vulnerable while you're asleep ya know he said laughing.

Scythe reached Frost's room and knocked on the door.
"You ok?" He asked

Moonlight waits outside leaning on a frozen tree.

"I think that zebra mutt clearly thinks he's better than the rest," He said rolling his eyes.
Well, I'm gonna go and fix him this time. No one threatens anypony I care for! Scythe, keep an eye on her, but don't tell her any more lies... :l
*he gets up and heads out*
Moonlight looks around and smashes the frozen tree.
*Rad comes outside* You wanted to see me?
Moonlight uses wind step, disappears then reappears behind him and freezes Rad's wings again then knocks him into the air. Yes. I wanted to see you fly.
Ack! *Rad tried to flutter his wings, but no use. He reached the peak, then descended again*
Moonlight just stood there watching as Rad plummeted.
"I think he might need help," Said Scythe trotting out, "Come with me, I said I'd keep an eye on you let's go,"
*Rad hit the ground, the ice on his wings shattering.* AUGH! >A< *he lay there in pain*
Moonlight uses blizzard to make ice shackles. Take back what you said about Snowy yesterday.
"Rad!" Calls Scythe from the enterance of the casino. (wut did he say?)
*Rad looked up* And just what did I say about Snowy?

"Pride's such a stupid thing," He muttered under his breath. He then trotted back inside scowling (g2g)

Moonlight dispelled the shackles and swung his keyblade knocking Rad across the field.
*Rad skid to a halt. His glasses had a chip in them.*
*It takes him a second but he weakly staggers to his hooves*
Moonlight flies at Rad then overswings his keyblade knocking Rad back into the ground.
*Rad hits so hard his glasses break in half* Gah! >A< *he stays on the ground, covering his eyes*
Moonlight looks at him emotionless then falls back and passes out.
Frostberry runs over to Rad."Are you okay?"
*Rad gets up, squinting heavily. Seeing Moonlight passed out* Whew...glad that's over... :I
She gives him a short kiss."Me too."
*looking around* Frost... Is that you?
"Yes?"
*smiling* Good. Can you give me a hoof back inside?
Meanwhile in Moon's mind..
Finally..beat them..all. Why do they keep coming back?..maybe it's that keyblade. Outer Moon has been getting stronger but at what cost. Inner Moon(good) falls back and falls asleep while outer Moon stirs.

Like I said before, no more of those. But still, we need to talk once I get back inside, get some shades, and mend anything broken... *trying to look for the entrance*
Frostberry sighs."I wouldnt trust him Rad."
I just want to get inside and find some sunglasses so I can see again first. Can somepony help?
"Follow me." She leads Rad to the gift shop.
*Being led by the hoof, Rad followed*
Just, pick out a pair that looks just like my old ones...
"Oh hi Rad!" Said Scythe handing him a pair of shades with his long tail, "Took the liberty of getting you some knew ones"
The shades looked the same except for Gold Emerald Casino written in tiny gold print on the side.
*Rad put them on* Oh. Well that was thoughtful of you Scythe. Thanks. :) *holds out a hoof*
Frostberry smiles."Looks like you already have a pair of glasses."
Moonlight doesn't say a word and walks inside after they're out of sight.
Frostberry gives Rad a kiss."Im hungry, lets get some breakfast."
*kisses back* Sounds good to me. ^-^ *leads her to the restaurant*
Moonlight sits in a corner in the restaurant area while trying to remember what happened.
Frostberry sits down at a table."You order some food for us?"
Sure. What do they have here? I haven't eaten yet, but I've drank alot. lol

"I miss Snowy and I guess those blue hazes turned that despair into hatred. After that it goes dark."

-Scythe shook his hoof warmly- (when he held out his hoof, I know that ish long past)

Two ponies approached the casino. One was a pegasus pony named Skye Fown.

Skye didn't seem very happy, but, Flora did.
"You call this 'fun?'" asked Skye
"Come on don't be like that, we spend all of our time in the flower shop too much if you ask me. We deserve a break, I heard about this casino from a flyer we received in the mail. It seemed interesting enough, and, like I already said, I thought we needed a break, so, here we are" reminded Flora
"I guess but did you really have to choose a casino?" asked Skye
"Casino's are fully of activity and interesting ponies!! Besides, there's more things to do here than just gamble I assure you" assured Flora
"Like what?" asked Skye
"Enough of that. We're here on vacation. I suggest you enjoy it" suggested Flora
"But what if somepony recognizes me?" mumbled Skye, however, Flora still heard it.
"You really need to stop worrying about that. This is the life you choose instead and you're happy. That's really all that should matter" reminded Flora.
"You're right" remarked Skye. Flora then pushed Skye forward with her right hoof
"Of course I'm right!! Now go!! Mingle!!" suggested Flora as she began heading toward the information desk to see what exactly she and Skye could do here.
Meanwhile... Skye began looking for some food, to see if they had anything good to eat. She was a little hungry anyway...

Frostberrys voice sounds ice cold when she whispers back."Well, your son could tell me that himself. And Im not sure if I can just move on after that what your son has done to me and Rad."

Frostberry smiles."Oh just womens stuff."
Floe glared at Rad. It's rude to interrupt when two mares are talking you know. then responded to Frost by whispering back. I don't think that's such a good idea at the moment and I'm aware of what he has done and like I said he wasn't himself at the time.
Frostberry whispers back."Well I dont care if he was himself or Celestia." She stands up."Come on rad, lets go for a walk."
Sure. *he gets up* Good to see you Floe.
Floe waves them goodbye and flutters to the casino level. Meanwhile Moonlight is outside sleeping in a tree.
Frostberry stops walking when theyre outside of the restaurant."I DONT like this pony."

"OF COURSE FLOE! Sometimes you act REALLY stupid."
Moonlight's ear flickered hearing Frost's angered tone and he began to stir and woke up slowly.
Well, she doesn't know much about personal space, and her mood swings all over the place, but she can't be all that bad. :\

Moonlight heard Frost badmouthing his mom and started getting upset.
Well, when I first met her too, she was oblivious to her son's 'problem'. :l
She gives him a kiss."Well, theyre both not worth getting angry."

Moonlight stood there across from them with tears in his eyes and keyblade in hoof. You know it's one thing to be mad at me but to talk about my mom like that is unexcusable.
*looks over* Well Moon, that's just how we see her...
That's just how she is. Moonlight uses his valor form which gives him a second keyblade and his black stripes are crimson red. ..and if that's a problem then you take it up with me.

Floe stares at both of them angrily. Well if you don't like it when he lashes out then stop provoking him. He's already been hospitalized twice for some reason that only he knows about and now your blaming him for actions that weren't even his. Say what you want about me but my son is good pony. He just hasn't been himself lately but I'm sure he will be back to normal with time.
Moonlight stayed behind Floe then passed out again while they were arguing.
And who is he gonna hurt until, or even if he comes back to normal? If he can be helped, he can't just keep it to himself! *not noticing Moon fainting*

Skye, somehow, was eventually able to find a sort of 'banquet' with food pretty much everywhere.
Skye got a plate of what looked good, found an empty table, and began eating.
After awhile... Flora found Skye again.
"I got a brochure from the information area." informed Flora
"And?" asked Skye after swallowing what was currently in her mouth.
"There's plenty to do here. Don't worry" assured Flora
"I see..." remarked Skye. Flora then finally noticed that Skye was eating.
"How's the food?" asked Flora
"Pretty good. Looks like this casino put out all the stops. They probably hired the best chefs they could find" answered Skye
"In that case, I'll get some food and join you" remarked Flora as she then got a plate full of food as well and took a seat across from Skye and she began eating as well and Skye continued eating as well.

"Hey Spaz, nothing, just us, Rad, and Moonlight" Vick explains.

Skye and Flora finished eating. Flora spoke up again.
"This casino has a hotel as well, so, I called and reserved us a room, so, why don't we go take a look at it? That way we can drop off our important stuff there and then we can do whatever we want to after that" suggested Flora
"Very well then" replied Skye as they headed towards the hotel area, with a hotel employee showing them to their room. Flora used the key she was given to open up the door and...
The room was very impressive. It looked like a first-class room or a master suite room. Skye was actually shocked and in awe. There were two beds, one for each of them of course as well as a window to view the outside as well as closets to put their stuff and even a refrigerator to keep any food cold if they wanted anything while they were in their room.
"You... you went all out didn't you? You... you didn't have to do that you know..." remarked Skye
"Actually Ms... we don't want any of our guests to feel left out or different. All of our rooms are like this" informed the hotel employee.
"This is wonderful!! Thank you so much!!" cheered Flora.
"You are most welcome. Please enjoy your stay here at the Gold Emerald Casino" remarked the hotel employee as he left.
Skye and Flora then put all of their important stuff in their respective closets, then, Flora locked the door to their room and they went their separate ways to find something interesting to do in the casino...

Flora had went her own way, as did Skye. Skye ended up in the gambling area.
"Ugh. Is there really nothing else to do here other than gamble?" thought Skye. That's when she saw somepony playing roulette.
She didn't want to do this. Seriously, she didn't. But, she felt like she didn't have a choice. She approached the pony, but tried not to scare, surprise or startle him.
"Excuse me, but, me and my friend just got here awhile ago and I really don't know a lot about this place. Isn't there anything else to do here other than gamble? I don't really like gambling..." asked Skye to the unknown pony
*Rad turned around* Oh sure! There's plenty to do! There's an arcade further down, and a restaurant on the third floor.

Skye found the arcade and found an interesting game called "Lunar Defense Force." She put in a bit and began playing.
It was a fun enough game. It even had a boss which she was able to beat. However... eventually... she got to level she just couldn't beat and got a game over.
Skye then did something unexpected. She usually wouldn't get angry over something like this. But, she ended up yelling at the game.
"GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! The UFO's are annoying!! How are you supposed to get past UFO's constantly showing up?! It's impossible I tell you!!" shouted Skye as she now got weird looks from everypony else that was in the arcade. This embarrassed her and made her blush.

Frostberry walks into the casino, straight to the casino ( lol) area to look for Rad.
*Rad's playing roulette when he sees a familiar pony enter* Frost! Over here!
Frostberry walks over to Rad, her eyes looking on the ground."Im sorry I left, but Moon and Floe they just...." She sighs.
*he hugs and nose nuzzles her* It's okay. I'm just happy you came back...
Frostberry gives him a kiss."I had to calm down." She looks at the roulette table."Maybe you can teach me another game now."
*he kisses back* Sure. You never played roulette?
She smiles."Well my parents never let me play any games, and as an adult I never felt like trying some or go into a casino."
Oh. Well then I guess it's not all your fault. :P

Moonlight came back to the casino where his madness started and decided to stay away from the bar and stick to apple cider then he headed to up to the casino area and saw Rad and Frost at the roulette table then sighed not really wanting to deal with Frost right now but reluctantly walked over anyway.

*Rad doesn't see Moon coming* Anyway, basically roulette is a very difficult game of luck, but if you get it right, you can make lots of bits. ^-^
"And how does it exactly work?"
Moonlight inconspicuously blends in with the crowd at the table and places a bet.
You put a bet down on this table, you can bet on a certain number, color, row, or range of numbers. Each one will pay out certain amounts if you guess right.
She laughs."Sounds complicated." She takes out a few bits."So how can I bet on red? Just put them on the table?"
Sure. Just put it there. *points to the 'Red' section*
"Alright." She puts the bits on the red `field`.
Moonlight places his bet on black then backs away.
Now, the dealer will spin the wheel and drop the ball in to decide the number.
*the dealer does so, spinning the wheel and waiting a few seconds before dropping the ball.
It lands on 25 Red*
"Did I won?" ^-^
Yup! It landed on a red number! Congrats! *the dealer places the dolly on 25 Red and takes all losing bets. He then deals out the winnings to the other bets*
Moonlight scoffs and walks away after throwing a small ice shard that hits Rad in the head and lands on the table.
Ow! What the-? *sees the shard of ice* o.O
Frostberry sighs."It seems like its Moon again."
Moonlight sits by a tree and looks at the sky and smiles.
He's not his jerk self anymore. But why is he still harassing us? :l
She sighs."I dont know."
Forget him. If he has a problem with me, fine. I'm just going to ignore it. Want to play some more?
Even though Moonlight wasn't inside the ice shard expanded and froze the roulette table.
Frostberry looks upset."I dont feel like playing anymore, but you can if you want."
What? *sees the shard freeze up the table. The other ponies at the table start arguing*

Moonlight is still outside and he holds up his hoof and a butterfly lands on it.

A pony came up behind Skye with a sadistic smile on their face. Skye became tense.
It was Flora. Skye turned around and was still blushing.
"I was just... um... what stupid games!!" remarked Skye as she was lying her flank off right now.
Flora just smiled.
"Finally you've relaxed a little. I'm glad to see you are having fun" remarked Flora. Skye conceited defeat. There's was no winning with her in this situation.
"Hmm... things look interesting enough here... perhaps I'll try a game myself..." remarked Flora as she attempted to find a game that would interest her.
Skye began looking for another game she could play. Preferably one that was much easier and one she could actually win or beat.

Frostberry looks at Rad."Whats wrong?"
I've had it! Just... what do I need to do to get you to leave me and Frost alone?!

*He turns to Frost and tells her* Just, go to the restaurant and wait for me. I'll be right back. *he kisses her*
She looks worried."Okay, but be careful." Frostberry sits down at the bar and orders a drink.
Moonlight plays with the butterfly and flies with it.

Moonlight can be seen following a butterfly while flying in a circle.

Moonlight used Wind Step and stood next to Rad and whispered wrong answer. Moonlight then punched Rad sending him flying to the tree he was at.

The real reason I got it was to protect you and everypony I cherish most. Snowy came after I got this. Moonlight used Wind Step again and stands in front of Rad then quick jabs him three times and throws back to his starting point. Do you understand now?
*Rad skids to a stop and staggers back up* No...because I still don't get why you even need that blade...
Moonlight begins to close the distance between them. You don't get it because you can't comprehend it. I've learned that there are other things that can do even worse things than what you can think of and this keyblade is the only way to stop them. As he reached Rad he stares at him. Do you understand now?

Moonlight kicks him three times with the third kick sending back to the tree while skidding on the ground. You will now..New question. Why did you..against her will..bring her to talk to me? he said walking to him again.
*Rad staggers back up, his mane now a mess* Because...I thought she could convince you to...get rid of that thing...
Moonlight closed the gap instantly with wind step. Now Rad..why would go and do that?
Because that sword caused you to go all crazy and evil. And I keep telling you, you don't...need it!
Moonlight punched him in the face then threw Rad into the air and followed him grabbing him driving Rad into the ground with a lot of force then whispered in his ear wrong again.

Don't bother Snowy with your trivial crap ever again or else you might end up worse than now and be glad this was the nice me who did this. He said as he stomped on him then kicked him back into the tree then smiled.

*Rad took the packet and looked at it* Ugh...might as well. *gets up and breaks it open*

Also please understand that I'll be watching you two from a distance..not as a stalker but as a protector. You may think Rad can protect you but there are things even Rad is powerless against. Skye found another game. This one was called "Pipsqueak's Thunder Plunder." It was significantly easier than Lunar Defense Force. Well, to her it was, because even though it took her a few tries... she eventually beat it.
Skye then began looking for Flora. She was nowhere to be found. Well... until she found her playing a dancing game ((similar to Dance Dance Revolution I guess :P )) and she was breathing heavily and wore out. A sweatdrop formed on the back of her head.
"Did you enjoy yourself?" asked Skye
"Oh... yes... I... did..." replied Flora in between her heavy breaths. "It's... hard... but... fun..." added Flora
"Maybe you should go rest in our room?" suggested Skye
"Good... idea... I... think... I'll... go... do... just... that..." remarked Flora as she began heading to her and Skye's room. Skye just sweatdropped again.
Skye then began thinking of what to do next...

Skye thought of something. It had been awhile, but, it's not like anypony had recognized her yet, so, she thought it wouldn't matter.
She made her way outside of the casino and extended her wings, then, took flight. She flew slightly above the casino. She just wanted to see what an aerial view of it was honestly. She did, and, she was frozen in place in her spot slightly above the casino. She was awed by the sight in front of her. It was an amazing sight. Skye just floated there, staring at the amazing sight in front of her.

"Oh right... Flora went to the room to rest..." thought Skye as she blushed and sweatdropped for forgetting this information so quickly.
So... Skye headed back to the actual casino area. Not to gamble herself obviously. Just to simply watch other ponies gamble their bits away and lose them.

Kadle jumps from the top of the casino and climbs his way down
Green Strokes wandered up to the entrance of the gigantic building. Sparkling green and shimmering with neatly finished walls. The fine color was complimented by a few trees and shrubs, wilting a little in the autumn This place was MADE to attract attention, attention and money.
It's fine green sparkled like a diamond, within a clear pool. Anypony within two miles could spot the lights of the casino at night and the casino was QUITE visible to any-pony within half a mile of this place.
Green Strokes looked up at the massive building. "Dear goodness . . . So much money . . ."
Even Bright Mane looked shocked "Why are we . . . HERE? I mean . . .I know you have connetions and everything but I didn't think you'd ever pull them to stay at a place like this. . ."
Green Strokes was almost misty eyed. "I DIDN'T pull any strings. This looks like the only place for miles too . . . and we all are too tired to continue. Besides it looks like another storm is coming . . . "
Strokes looked up at the ominous clouds
" Dear me . . . This is bad . .. "
A black stagecoach polished until you could see your face in it and gilded with twenty-four carat gold pulled up in front of the casino, the eight strong-looking yet regal and polite stallions pulling it dressed in pristine, spotless tuxedos. A stallion who had been seated to the side of the gleaming door, which was engraved with three golden crowns, got down and unrolled a blazing red velvet carpet before opening the door.
An impeccably sharp-dressed unicorn stepped out of the stagecoach, accompanied by a dark-grey-coated pegasus whose eyes warily darted this way and that in preparation for any which might seek to harm his Master.
An entourage of similarly-dressed stallions in suits, along with a fat and heartless-looking middle-aged pony with a cigar clamped between his teeth quickly came from the casino to greet the newcomers.
"My Lord Fancy Pants! How long it has been since last we met!"
"Hello to you too, old partner. Business doing all right this time of the year?"
"Oh, you know how it goes! Can't make a good penny unless there's suckers who think a gamble or two can get them back their fortune. But what are we doing standing around, come in, come in!"
((sorry if this is somewhat bold... Galvin insisted on me joining, and the only characters I had which would be appropriate for the theme were Fancy and Bloodblade, and even then only for inspection and not actually gambling. I hope it's not too much to assume that somepony as rich and famous as he has a few connections down here in these parts))

Spaz puts his paperwork down and pulls out a pencil and starts writing memos
Green Strokes was brushed aside as a great cigar-wielding pony pushed him to make way to the new arrival. Instantly Strokes was off put by both ponies and didn't bother to even greet them, after-all, they had 'business' to discuss.
Strokes gritted his teeth and breathed a soft command, "Come-on, let's go. We need rooms and it's about to rain, I'm not going to sit out here waiting to be drenched."
Neither Brightmane nor Right-hoof dared a word. Though their master seemed calm and tepid . . . they knew a strong fire burned inside him. His ideals and pride wouldn't hold after being pushed aside so easily. So they bit their tongues and moved forward with speed and grace.
Strokes staggered to the counter, his mud-stained 'leather' vest and grimy hair did not hide his burning green eyes, or his book belt. Quick, as he could, he produced his card. 'Green Strokes author and artist'
"Ever. . . heard of me? Strokes said, tired and warn, expecting another negative from another citizen of the Equestrian empire. Another example of his failure in life. And at a point in his life where he really NEEDED some-pony to know him
Spaz grabs a few keys and hands them to the two ponies
here if one of our employees give you a hard time be sure to tell me about it
Strokes looked into the unfamiliar pony's face.
"You are . . . generous sir, but you must know I have no money on me, I never do. It is a policy of mine, though if you get into contact with my bank . . . they'll be sure to settle the matter"
"Me and my fine compatriots, thank you . . . I am Green Strokes, as you know, traveling artist and philosopher. This is Brightmane Shores, my pupil and protege. And this, good fellow, is my assistant and dear friend: Right-hoof."
Brightmane nodded, stiffly. Her head barely bending and her eyes thin slits of lines. Her hair was frizzy and split but her face was as proud as ever . . . if stained by the dust of hard travel.
Right-hoof gave a brilliant smile and stuck out his hoof tentively. "Nice to meet ya!" He said in his soft, deep voice.
Spaz shook his hoove and looked at the other ponie with curiosity then back

Strokes looked around directing his attention to the finery. It had been QUITE some time since he had visited Fancy's mansion and once again the extent of the ostantacious designs blinded him. So much so he let one of his thoughts slip out.
"Why? Why in Equestria do you need all this . . . stuff? I mean nice is nice . . . but this . . . Strokes spoke JUST loudly enough for his two companions and the desk clerk to hear him.
After a minute or two of gazing about, his expression still held shock and perhaps something of frustration, he once again faced the clerk. "Excuse me, friend . . . but I didn't catch your name. . .
Then Strokes looked at the clerk with complete sincerity "And you chose to evade my question, so I shall ask that again. Do you know me, or have you at least heard of me?"
Spaz heard the comment strokes had made on account of his enhanced hearing
I am Spaz. I am the owner of this casino, and all that stuff is what I call attraction

Strokes looked at the clerk, his eyes were wide, his pupils dilated. For a fraction of a moment his nostril even flared.
"Attraction? Who am I?" Strokes' eyes darted to both his compatriots and he wore a strong frown.
I've already show you who I am, sir! My card.
Strokes indicated his card again: 'Green Strokes traveling author and artist'.
I have written 'A Fight for Immortality', 'The Seventeen Obstacles' and 'A Quest for Equestria'. Strokes produced a few books from his sash, laying the worn binding gently across the polished counter and staring at the counter defiantly.
Brightmane squirmed a little as Strokes began his next point.
"AS FOR ATTRACTION! I don't see why you need enough Dusk-shard to build a temple with . . . I suppose it did create jobs for ponies but did you need this much money to begin with?" Strokes stopped and held a hoof to his head.
Immedietly Brightmane and Right Hoof rushed forward to keep him standing.
Right Hoof Spoke: Please excuse him, sir, he . . .
Strokes pushed Right Hoof away, for an older pony . . . he still looked remarkably fit and Right Hoof let the small Earth-pony push him aside, though he held a sad look.
I mean every word of it . . . Strokes said, looking at the clerk but with a less 'certain air', then before.

"You . . . You've read one of my books? I hear about my sales all the time, but I hardly ever met someone who has read my book, it is . . . disconcerting and, quite frankly, demotivating. "
Strokes sighed. "Please forgive me, I just find this luxury a little distastefull. I wish ponies could see the beauty in nature . . . but, more often then I'd like to see, they turn to great structural feats. Either way, thank you very much for the rooms, we won't stay long."
Strokes found the directory and began marching off towards his destination, but he was clearly headed the wrong way.
Bright Mane ran off after him to assist the author, Right Hoof stood frowning and turned to the Clerk. "Strokes has been suffering from severe migranes for the past few months, ever since we came back to Equestria . . . "
Right Hoof paused as he played with his horn. Then he bowed, slightly. Thanks, by the way. For gettin' us a room. It was really charitable. Strokes isn't terribly rich but he does have money. . . he just doesn't carry it with him or deal with it . . . if he can avoid it. You'll get paid if you check in with his bank, it's on the opposite side of that card.
Right Hoof flipped over the card, then stood looking like he didn't feel quite comfortable.

Ryo walks onto the casino floor and looks around
"ah been a while since I've had some good old fashioned fun, now let's see if I can't put my talent into work"
The group headed off, slowly. Eventually they reached the private suites. Strokes wasn't looking the best through the batter. Veins were slightly more prominent upon his right side and he stumbled along with Mane and Right Hoof.

Eventually Mane left the room, Strokes was to be occupied with his headache for at least an hour or two more, there was nothing she could do. She blinked her eyes. At least she had gotten a nice shower, her hair was back in it's extravegent shape and elegant luster.
She wandered into the main lobby, her saddle bag full of artistic supplies. She looked around tentively.
"Gamblers . . .

A Blue pony with a doctors coat walks into the main lobby
*sigh* "Where on earth as that fool run off to the casino is probably the best bet, still does he have to be down there that early, we just got here"
Bright Mane looked at all the faces about her. Random ponies who had come for varying reasons.
Mane got a tingle up her spine, the thought was actually rather stimulating. It was a hub of thoughts, be it good or bad and these walls helped facilitate it. Mane glanced around and she forgot herself. She forgot where she was. She forgot about anything but placing down this idea.
Mane was in one of her creative trances . . . she sat herself down immedietly, laying in the middle of the casino and proceeded to sketching out the casino and the ponies passing.
Kai walks up behind attempting not to disturb and takes a glance at the work
"hmm simply fascinating, such precision considering the quantitative number of passersby and the quality of the movement"

Bright Mane scoffs and continues sketching.
You interested in art, sir? If so you might find a few of my pictures of interest.
Mane flipped out a couple oil paintings, some lamanated pastel pictures and a few sketches.
But if you would LOOK and not TALK, that would be just magic!
Then Mane spotted Ryo, well more like glared at him but, other than that, didn't show she even recognized his existence.
Kai smiled "Yes indeed art is one of the great forms of precision and focus, and the work developed into it is simply fascinating even from a psychological stand point of the image itself and the emotions it encompasses simply fascinating but as you wish I shall remain quiet and watch"
Ryo felt an odd sensation and turns and looks
"Oh Kai hey wondering off like that"
"Shh Ryo can't you see the young miss needs focus"
Mane's hoof twitched. Cutting a dusk-shard pillar in half. Mane bit her lip and sighed.
"There, the initial sketch is done. Now, what brings two 'FINE' gentleman like you two. . . ." Mane gave them a little smirk. "Around an artist? Besides distracting her and ruining the scenary, of course.
"well I was looking for this fool in front of you"
"hey"
"and I can't resist a chance to see such wonderful work"
"Im just here for the fun, but I had to come and bug this guy though Im curious why your stat in such a odd location"
Bright Mane's ears twitched.
Odd? Odd is a matter of opinion, sir. This spot happened to be where I could get a fine scope of the other ponies and the architecture behind them.
Bright Mane stood, raising to her full height and frowning down at Ryo and Kai.
Well, no use arguing over it, now, you've already ended my sketching, might as well make yourself aquainted with me. Otherwise it was just a waste of both our time.
Bright Mane nodded and produced a hoof. Bright Mane.
"Well my apology about ruining your thought I can say it was not my intention I'm Dr Kai Swift a pleasure to make your acquaintance" Kai produces his hoof also
"Umm yea sorry, I'm Ryo Disk its good to meet you"
"though I must say I was not expecting to meet an artist in a place such as this, well at least one of decent calibre"
I would come to these places more often, if I got the choice. These places are a bustle of pony activity. . . one can learn alot here. It's a fine point for . . . Bright Mane stopped and scoffed again. Talking to you like you care about these things, well, let's get back on track, shall we? I'm here because my mentor and instructor; his assistant Right Hoof; and I, became stranded without a room and there isn't anyplace suitable to camp out with that storm raging outside.
Bright Mane popped her shoulders
Well, we are aquainted now. So how about you two tell me YOUR story, why are you here?
"Thought it was time for a break things were getting stressful back at canterlot and card games are a good way to unwind expectably elements ooh that one can be fun but addicting "
*sigh* "I couldn't let this guy running around on his own he would get himself in trouble, no doubt helping where he shouldn't"
"hey Kai you do the same thing"
"yes but im a Doctor thats my job"
"excuses"
Bright mane looked between them. So . . . you two . . . You are a doctor and you are something else, whatever. . .
A Stallion stumbled down the stairs, hair a-wreck, unsteady and his fine clothes undid and hanging loosely about him. He pushed through the group.
Then after a moment he stopped and looked back.
K-KAI? Tha- you?
The pony stumbled towards the doctor.
"Yes Sir I am Kai" Kai looks at the wreck of a pony assesing him to work out who he is assuming its
Well s- me? Yeh s- me! Bh-erry, Bh-erry Bitter-s.
The pony clutched onto Kai's coat, using him to keep himself standing.
K-K-Kai, you c-houldn't be here, it-sa bad place.
Kai's face turns serious and he glances at Ryo for a second
"Right" Ryo takes out a card from a small saddle bag and starts muttering as a small seal appears beneath hoof and around the four"Shadow word hidden"
"now calm down berry I'm here, please explain carefully what's going on, and don't worry you can't be harmed here"
Bright Mane bucked, as Ryo began his magic.
What are you DOING!?
"we just need some quiet time miss your free to leave if you want, but some chats should be held in private, you just happened to be in my radius of magic, so ponys perception of you is obscured, in other words in here your invisible basically"
Ryo's face changed from his usual smile to a glare and acting more serious than his appearance looks
Bright Mane scoffed again. Convinent to have this magic at hoof, isn't it? Either way I was using this spot before you two came and interuptted me, I plan on using it to its full affect. Maybe I can even help your friend there, he looks like he could use all the help he can get
Berry wasn't looking well, his face had turned green, from it's usual blue and he was swaying.
"And what of matters with... the Family?"
The fat pony scowled. "As usual. We give them favors, they don't bother us. It's a bad world out there, Lord Fancy, with scary ponies. But you know that more than anypony else around here."
He took a long sip of the blue special, then wiped his mouth somewhat crudely. "Enough about me in any case. How have you been? Haven't seen you since... two years ago, was it? Before that war over in Bhairata got spice prices shooting into the sky like so many fireworks. Who was that old kook you went off with, some Green Strokes or another?"
"A good friend, and a great pony. Though, his philosophies are somewhat... extreme."
"So I've heard. Probably wouldn't like this place, eh!" laughed the fat stallion. "But you know what they say, it's nothing personal, it's just good business."
"Yes..."
"Heh. I thought you'd say that. And I'm proud for you. Glad you've managed to keep some of that pony-ness about you. Me, I'm too far gone to ever come back."
"Oh, don't say that..."
The stallion just laughed. "You know it's true! My heart's as black as night and hard as stone. But it's only to be expected in this line of work. You're lucky, old partner."
Suddenly, the fat pony no longer looked so magnificent, nor so happy and content. He looked almost frail and old, worn and haggard from year upon year of losing pieces of his soul to his horrifying work.
"At least you're still yourself. At least you're still your own."

"this isn't good, I don't have much to hoof" Kai mumbles to himself
Kai checks his temperature and takes a small machine out of his pocket
"Just relax Berry now this is a mana detector it finds and removes samples of negative mana but it wont hurt I promise, just keep talking to me"

Frostberry finishs her drink. She heard that some rich ponies from canterlot arrived at the casino."Thats my chance to get famous." She mumbles and walks up to the stage. She takes a deep breath and starts to play a song.
Talk? T-Talk huh? You wan- me ta talk? Na-pony has want-a me to talk, in for-ever.
Berry sat down.
I-I wah do you wanna . . . wanna know?
Kai sighs for a moment "fist diagnosis intoxication" Kai rumages in his pocket and takes out a sweet "here suck on this it has an after effect to remove bio ethanal aka booze from your system"
Berry sucked a little. Then started crying
I've got a problem, Kai. I. . . I
Berry stopped wringing his hooves.
"hey hey calm down, all will be alright, now tell me what happened"Kai's tone changes to a much softer one as he moves himself and Berry to one side leaning on a machine
Berry took a few, slow, breathes in and spat out the candy.
That stuff is nasty Kai . . . He attempted a smile but it came out poorly. His eyes still glistened.
I-I've gotten myself addicted to gambling, Kai . . . I owe the club alot of money, they won't let me leave now, I've been cooped up here for the past few weeks . . . working it off as the bartender. I-I also can't stop drinking . . .
((Hmm... I didn't expect this to become active again. Oh well. I'll try to be active here again too))
Skye was too entranced by the sight she was seeing...
That is... until... she was pelted by rain. When Skye realized it, she quickly flew back into the casino and tried to quickly make her way back to the hotel rooms where she quickly found a bathroom and dried herself off. After that, she made her way back to the room, finding Flora still there.
"What's wrong?" asked Flora
"It's started raining outside" informed Skye
"I see... I guess we'll have to stay inside here until the storm's over" realized Flora
"I guess so..." remarked Skye
"Well... being dull and depressed won't help!! Let's see what's going on!!" decided Flora as she practically grabbed onto Skye and made her come with her back into the main casino area.
Ponies were everywhere. Which made sense since it was now raining outside.
Other than that, nothing had changed, and there still seemed like there was nothing to do.
So... for now... Flora and Skye simply walked around the casino area, trying to see if anything interesting was going on.
"now Berry you need to calm down and think straight, your addictions are caused by panic and there making you unwell, now the owner of this place cannot be so cruel to hold one against there will"

Spaz walked into the casino area
'Hhmmm... I sence magic
Either someponies cheating on a machine, a table game, or something else...
Only one way to find out'
Spaz thought to himself and started walking around investigating
"Come on, let me show you around a bit while we talk."
The ponies exited the armored room, slowly making their way past the lobby towards the stairwell, talking as they went.
"The place is... certainly different than it once was."
The fat pony just chuckled bitterly. "You could say that. Money, money, money. You keep thinking you can leave it, just one more bit and you can pay your way out of it, but it sucks you right back in."
"What do you mean?" asked Fancy, surprised. "I mean, I had my entire history and family wrapped up in my estate, but even I managed to leave it in Fleur's hooves for over two years."
The cigar-chomper just shook his head. "Like I said. You're lucky, old partner. You've got good friends. REAL friends. The kinds of which wouldn't go and drag you back kicking and screaming into all this as soon as you try to leave."
Fancy's voice softened. "You mean... the-"
"Family. Always. Hay, they talk about gambling addictions as if it were only the poor, unfortunate souls that play their lives away at the tables who lose themselves. Let me tell you, Lord Fancy, don't you EVER get yourself a profit from this stuff. These bits, they look shiny, but they're tainted with a shadow that won't wash off no matter what you do with them. Once you get it, once you start taking more than a look, bang!"
The fat pony shook his hoof as if it were a griffon's claw.
"It gets you. Debt? If only they knew. It's an endless cycle. The souls lose their lives to me, and there's not a thing I can do."
"You could cancel their debt..."
"And have the Family after me like timberwolves? I'm just the in-between. They're the REAL baddies behind all this. They don't get their money, I'm gone, just like that! And they want BIG money. I'm talking FORTUNES. I couldn't get it all honestly if I tried. You think I WANT to hold these poor souls in my hooves?"
They were walking slowly through the lobby past Ryo, Berry and the others, surrounded by stallions in suits but still audible by Green Stroke's student.
As Skye and Flora walked around, they noticed the sort of "flock" of ponies. Particularly, the ponies in suits who seemed to be protecting somepony.
"Oh wow. It looks like even important ponies come here" remarked Flora
"Well... it is a casino..." reminded Skye. Flora laughed.
"True enough" commented Flora.
The two continued walking around, trying to see what else was going on.
Berry looked at Kai, his forehead pressed and folded, a great crease. " What are you saying, Kai? I'm in debt! I have to pay it off! I'm stuck here till I can, I . . ." Berry paused for a moment, pushing back new tears; his next words made him appear physically ill. "I cannot leave until I pay, but I've still got a chance, I-I can pay off this debt in a couple years. If I could just stop drinking!" Berry beat his head. "I KNOW what I need to do, Kai. I KNOW and yet I can't stop, I need help!"
Then . . . Berry turned his full attention to Kai. His eyes, they held a kind of hunger, a hopeless hope. Berry set himself up-right, using Kai as a ladder, he did his best to look happy and overjoyed but his eyes were dark, pits of emotion.
"Kai, Kai, my good friend! You could help me! You could help your friend, Berry! I only need 13,000 bits, that's all. 13,000 bits and I'm free! Heck! If you could get me 10,000 they'd let me out of here, I could easily pay the rest back, once I was free! OH, and of course I'd get you your money back, I could make it back, after I got out!"
Berry looked as though he would shake the money out of Kai, his hooves trembled and his face was so contorted Kai almost didn't recognize the 'once-happy' baker.
"Come on Kai, be a pal!"

Bright Mane's ears pricked up, she could of sworn some-one she knew had spoken in that crowd swarming about them. Then she heard it again and even caught a glimpse of a well-kept, blue tail.
Mane gave a quick glance back at the tragic gambling pony before she leaned into a strange position, eventually, a look of comprehension and certainty came over her face. "What is Fancy doing here, now? Ah, he seems to know the casino kings. . ."
Mane shook her name-sake out. Ears, showing her agitation. Her hooves trembled, as if they made to run. . . but she turned back to Kai and the poor debt-ridden pony.
"Listen, I need to tell my mentor something, something interesting has come up and I'm sure he'd want to know immediately. I'd help with your friend there . . ." She looked at the pony, her eyes not quite showing sympathy but still holding a kind of sadness. "What I'm saying is: I think I'm pretty useless here at the moment and I DO have something I need to report to my instructor."
Bright Mane shook her head again, ears still a flurry of motion and left before the others could respond. Charging out of the spell area, directly into the processions path. She turned, searching the suited ponies, making sure she had gotten the facts correct.
"Yes . . . Fancy IS there."
Kai looked sad for the pony almost slightly disapointed
"now Berry you know that is something I cannot do, the lending of money from a professional Is a repromandable act, and a form of pay off against the laws of equestria"
"hey Kai, security picked up my spell traces you don't have long left"
Berry didn't lose that helpless hope. He just noded and held onto Kai, tighter.
"Of course, we wouldn't want it as a transaction in large sums! This is to be a loan between two friends! A loan! Heh, these things happen every day, it's not illegal for two friends to share a little money between them, never was before! Besides . . . "
Berry's eyes darted across the hall. "I doubt THESE people would care, even if you did get the money a little illegaly, as long as it wasn't from them. . .
Berry smiled up at Kai, pain cracking his face like a shattered nut. He spoke with a fevered frenzy, spitting out his words and growing louder as he continued.
"I'm glad I found you, Kai! Now, now I can get out! I haven't been back to see my family in months. I-I didn't tell them where I was going, either! I didn't expect to be gone more then a weekend, it was supposed to be a small vacation!" His bloodshot eyes searched Kai's face. "Have you seen Chilie recently? How is she doing? And my daughter, Sandy, how is she?"
Berry shook his head and grew more excited. "I need to get back to them . . . They've probably sent out search parties . . ."
"Berry I cannot do this and you know it, but I may be able to contact your family, and if you wish ill spare some details"
"Kai stop questioning your ethics, I'm closing the spell, any longer and we might get thrown out for assumed cheating magic. And you Berry, is this how you deal with situations begging, a pony you know cant ethically help"
The fat pony and the aristocrat, along with their entourage of bodyguards, began ascending the staircase.
"I've always preferred the stairs to the elevator. Somehow, it seems safer. Less worry of power cutting out and getting trapped, you know?"
"I can empathize."
"Anyhow, like I was saying. I can't just let go, you know? There's no way the Family would let me just up and leave like that. Every time I think I'm through with this business another of them foals go and throw money at us hoping to get more, and end up in debt to us in ways you can't even imagine."
"Couldn't you leave things to an associate?"
"There you go with the friends again. I haven't GOT any friends I could trust down here. Not with that kind of money, not with that kind of power. And even if I did, what difference would it make? I'm a marked pony. I could run all the way to the other side of the world, just like you did, but my clients, these poor, poor souls, come from all over the world. And I've done dirty business, Fancy. REALLY dirty. The Family's got me hook, line and sinker, and there's nothing I can do."
"What do you mean?"
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you. And besides. I wouldn't want to put that kind of a burden on you, knowing what I did. Just know that, even if I could get out with everything payed up and favors put through, they've still got me wrapped around their hoof like a ribbon on Heart's and Hooves. Banished if I stay, banished if I don't. There's no winning this game, Fancy."
They came slowly to the casino floor, and both wealthy stallions looked out over the blazing rows of machines, this golden cage, this gilded Tartarus-on-Equestria.
"Look at them foals. Thinking they could earn a fortune if they paid just one more bit, played one more round. And the joke of it all," the fat pony started choking up with a mixture of sadness, anger, frustration and black humor, "is that I'm just as much a FOAL as any of them. Me. I KNEW the risks. I KNEW it was all too good to be true. But something black inside me said just one more round, and I was caught with as much humiliation as the poorest, most wretched debtor trying to gamble back their debts here."
Berry's eyes' fogged over. "Wha-what do you mean you can't do this? Ethically empared, by my situation? YOU ARE MORALLY OBLIGATED TO HELP ME!"
Berry was shouting vigorously, at Kai.
"YOU CAN JUST WALK AWAY, WHEN YOUR FRIEND NEEDS HELP? HUH? Well good for you doctor-kai, I can't just leave, I'm stuck here!
Berry released Kai to make dramatic gestures. Waving his arms like snakes and shaking his hooves in Kai's face.
"I AM GOING TO DIE HERE!
Berry looked well beyond desperate, his face had broken into different emotions. His eyes were dead, his nose twitched with awfull humour, his mouth was a horrifying hole of anger. And his ears showed his complete anxiety and frustration above it all.
Then . . . it all seemed to crash down, and he looked calm; serene; determined. His face frozen on Kai . . .
"You are not leaving until you help me." His voice a whisper, his hoof already snaking around Kai's arm.

Bright mane rushed back to Strokes' suite, entering quickly she turned to Right Hoof.
"Hoof, Fancy is here, he's here in the casino!"
Right hoof only had a moment to look suprized, before Strokes sat up from the resting couch, he had taken refuge on. Strokes had been sitting in a shadowy corner of the room; His head: covered by a blanket.
"What did you say? Bright mane, repeat what you said . . ."
Strokes' voice echoed his disdain. He had hopped not to run into Fancy, not this time. . . There were things he needed to get done this time, things that could not be postponed or canceled.
"So . . . Fancy is here, huh? Well, I'd like to see my old friend, I didn't let him know I'd be coming back but I'd like to see him all the same. Where is he Mane?
Strokes only had to think two seconds before he realized he 'needed' to share his thoughts with Fancy, something was wrong and he needed help . . .
Bright Mane shook her head, "I don't know, Strokes. He was walking along with one of the Casino bosses . . . They were headed up-stairs, probably to the casino area, but I wouldn't place any bets on that . . .
Strokes interupted. "Not now, Mane, this is serious, I need to see my friend." Strokes stood, apply a fair ammount of pressure to his frontal lobe. He staggered, took a step forward, then fell back onto the couch. "I-I cannot. I - will you bring him here, Bright Mane? Please? At least something will come of this trip . . ..
Bright Mane nodeed, her eyes soft, caring. "Just, give me a second. I'll be right back."
With purpose and determination, Brightmane sprinted forth, up the stairs.
"You Pathetic little pony do you really think he would pay your fine, was your existence invaluable to the point of dragging yourself into such a situation then to drag another into it unacceptable"Ryo's already gray colour dims and becomes darker than before
"Ryo Calm down, you shouldn't get stresses you know what happens""Regardless Kai we are leaving the seal is down and we have other matters to attend to" Ryo silently whispered one word which was undesirable in any language as Kai and Ryo fade into darkness to Berrys sigt
"Ryo that was crule removing our perception from him"
"It had to be done he shall not see touch or hear those under thine power mortal"
Berry began to howl . . . Screaming like a pony being tortured.
"I CAN'T SEE! I CAN'T SEE!
Berry fell onto the ground, flailing like a maniac. Grabbing at anything around him and feeling nothing.
Berry screamed again, thrashing about and knocking ponies over.
Berry had already drawn a small crowd in the few seconds he was visible, now . .. now people were complaining to the security and the one's toppled were quite upset.
"Ryo.... no you, that was cruel"
"Pff he's just being a drama queen I only did a basic spell it will end in a second now let us leave the fool may have his body back"
Ryo and Kai leave the area and head towards the main lobby
After a short span of time . . . Berry is picked up by the Casino security. Taking him away from the main lobby and assisting any frustrated or 'injured' customers. . .
Anyone wishing to make complaints is taken to put their grivences in with the 'Executive of Complaints and Suggestions'
The whole scandal is forgotten in a matter of minutes and the bustle in the lobby continues, like nothing happened.
Skye... stopped. She heard what sounded like... screaming. Flora heard it too and also stopped.
They just stood there, in complete shock, as they watched the pony scream his head off. That is, until, what seemed like casino security took him away.
Then... it was like... nothing even happened. Things went to "normal."
"What the...?!" thought Skye
"Oh my..." remarked Flora.
The two stayed silent after that. They weren't sure what to do or say to one another. They just sort of stood there, frozen, unsure of what to do next...

Stallions in black suits and dark glasses strode up and whispered in the fat pony's ear, and the stallion's face grew grim and resigned.
"Well, you know the drill."
"Yes, sir."
"You see what I have to deal with, Fancy. Even if I wanted to, it's out of my hooves."
The aristocrat's blood turned to ice at those words. "You... did you just..."
The other pony shook his head. "Not my responsibility anymore. It's Family matters now. Nothing I can do. Nothing personal, really. It's just..." His voice was flat, emotionless. "Good business."

Looking around she attempted to spot Fancy or at least his comrade.
Spaz sat down at the edge of the roof and thought of what it would feel like to be falling from the top of the building with dying

He pulled the rope out from his bag and tied it to a hook on the edge and tied it to himself and jumped

She needed to clear her head too, so, she simply walked outside of the casino once more. It had stopped raining. It was a clear night sky now.
"Oh Luna. Looking at your wonderful night sky always makes me feel better. I'm so glad that you're back..." thought Skye as she just continued to just stare at the night sky in an attempt to clear her head as well.

Bright Mane gazed at all the ponies. The noise and lights were almost vulgar, spinning; flashing; addicting 'pings'.
Mane jumped back as a stallion shouted excalmations. Money was pouring from his machine.

Just in that moment . . . Mane spotted Fancy. Attempting to draw his attention with energetic hoof movements and even a little jumping.

The fat pony looked at him incredulously for a moment, but knew better than to question the most wealthy and influential stallion in the empire. "As you wish."
With a tilt of the head, the strong stallions in suits stopped approaching the mare, looking to their leader for their next orders. Fancy strode forward. "Miss... Bright Mane, wasn't it? Strokes' student, if I recall correctly. What are you doing here?"
Skye re-entered the casino. They couldn't just leave. They had to stay as long as they had reserved for. It's not like they would get a refund.
She was slightly worried about Flora and she wanted to check on her. On the other hand... she felt like Flora just wanted to be left alone.
Skye went back to the buffet, got some food, not as much as she got before though, and took a seat at a table and began eating again. She wasn't very hungry, but, she needed to to do something to get her mind off what she had seen earlier...

His saddlebags seemed to be about to burst open with every step he took and, judging by the sound they made, were filled with glass jars.
"Ugh, casinos. Why did they send ME for this job, anyway?"
Majem walked up to the casino with great displeasure and observed everything, noting it down as well.
"Vegetation seems to be in a good shape. Too good of shape, considering it's autumn. Take a sample of the ground as well as the fertilizer they use." He thought and wrote down at the same time. He was already taking out a jar when he remembered he didn't even check in with the casino yet.
Majem put the jar back into his bag as he entered through the casino doors and walked up to the counter. He carelessly threw his ID card on top of the counter, which slid over and halted just on the edge of the counter.
"Inspection, pal. Don't bother me, and I'll try not to bother you." Majem said to the pony behind the counter. He looked at him, politely waiting for an answer, though he didn't seem very friendly at the moment. Majem's lab coat had the exact same ID on his chest-region.

The pony handed Majem a purple voucher.
"Doesn't that sound nice? The casino is paying for your room too, of course. And we'd be happy if you stuck around for an extra day . . ."

wouldn't. However... it wasn't like anypony was going to help her. She wanted out of this place. Who cares if they wouldn't get their money back? After what she saw, she wanted out. Something about this casino just rubbed her the wrong way. Perhaps the brochure Flora found was forged and didn't tell the whole truth about the casino? Either way, she was trapped, and now, she was in trouble.

Majem's notebook flew into his bag and his pen placed itself next to the other two in his chest pocket.

Several dealers pushed the black jack table. A couple games of poker were under-way and a strange game had cropped up. They called it: 'Monkey's Rice' It was played with both cards and dice. No-one had ever made any money off it, but the payoff was so ludicrously high . . . ponies tried, they tried and failed but they tried.
Smoke was everywhere, ponies somked when they won; lost; or bought more chips. Ponies smoked when they ate; drank or went to the bathroom. It was like a kind of haze that hid the world as it was . . . a haze that made things glorious and mysterious. A disgusting haze that made it hard to breathe.. . .

The monkey rice table was at the bottom of a small ramp, three rows of chairs sat around it, it almost made a kind of arena. The game table was gigantic, all over numbers and symbols, if one didn't know this was a gambling joint they might mistake the table for some kind of cult worship. Several ponies sat around the table, most looked dejected or at least downtroden. Only one seemed . . . not-upset, not happy either, but not upset.
Ryo walked in just as a fine mare passed over a diamond necklece to a man sitting in one of the pews.
Very nice madame, I can give you 700 bits for it . . .
The rice dealer looked up at Ryo.
"Hello sir, you looking to try and earn some rice?"
He flicked a large stack of bills, next to him.
Majem stared at Spaz, a little in both shock and disbelief.
"YOU're the owner?! I'm terribly sorry, sir. Majem, of the Equestrian Research Facility, department water analysis." He said as he levitated his ID in front of Spaz. "I'll just be taking samples and fill in some forms, then take them back to the lab and we'll send you the results within a month."
He paused for a moment, then continued. "If you could tell your employees about me that'd be great. I don't want to be held up at every door I come across. It's no fun for me or for you, really."
Ryo looks around at the setting feeling strange about the whole thing

The dealer nodded and waved him back from the table. A few ponies clad in dark blue suits and hidden behind tinted glasses watched the players. A couple rounds pass but it seems one of the aspects of difficulty with this game is learning it . . . It doesn't really looke like any of the players know HOW to play and after a few rounds Ryo knows less about the game then from his inital glance.
The house had racked in quite a bit of profit.
Ryo just stands there looking annoyed and under his breath just says
"what a despicable game, to think I'd see such a site that dishonour the cards so"Ryo just backs away a bit
The rice dealer laughed as everypony lost, again. Dragging the chips off the board with his long rake.
"Too bad, too bad! Try again, a fortune to be made if you keep it up, remember the game goes up to 100 rate payoff, if you get 2 sixes and 3 aces!" He chuckled again. "If you have your bet on 12 and 3, of coures. No-pony want to try for it!? You could win big!"
After playing for more than 2 hours Frostberry walks dissapointed from the stage."They dont even came up here..."
She heads to the bar and orders a drink.

"Hey you. That guy over there confused me for you. Give him what he wants or you'll have an innocent victim on you're hooves. You don't want to be arrested... do you? Or... I suppose I could call security
now and tell them an illegal exchange is going on within their casino..." warned Skye as she began looking around the casino to make it look like she was trying to find a security guard

Slowly she heads back to her room, to finally get some sleep.*I wonder what Rad does right now...* Instead of laying down in her bed, Frostberry openes the window and watches the stars for a while, dreaming about her future.
