Cutie Mark: A roll of thread and a needle
Personality: She's generally not an easy filly to talk to anymore, if you're not well acquainted. This is because she draws some inspiration in her personality from the unicorns of Canterlot. She prefers keeping to herself, and doesn't find childish things interesting. However, around people Tidy does like, she can be a very sweet and fun pony to be around.
Biography: Tidy grew up in Ponyville, an only foal. Her parents, having lived most of their lives in Canterlot, were accustomed to their rather boring, civilized and studious life. Yet Tidy got along with them well enough. While still in school, she was pretty embarrassed because she had yet to earn her cutie mark. Everyone else in her class had one. Nevertheless, Tidy didn't have much trouble interacting with other ponies. She was an easy filly to get along with, after all. However these ponies were more acquaintances than anything. While on the way home from school one day, Tidy decided to take a detour and escape her repetitive and boring lifestyle of waking up, going to school, back home, and then sleeping. On this detour, she came across the Carousel Boutique. Tidy had always been aware of Rarity's shop's existence, but had never really looked closely. When she did, however, she found the attire to be absolutely stunning. This experience sparked a sudden interest in designing her own apparel.
Tidy felt tempted to ask Rarity to teach her, but shied away from it. She just lacked the confidence to walk up to the mare she drew her inspiration from. And with Tidy's parents knowing nothing about designing or making clothes, she decided to venture to Canterlot and practice there. She went with her mom and took residence with her grandparents during the stay. Tidy found that she didn't really belong there, though. She was used to having her high class parents around, but being surrounded by so many indifferent ponies was different. Tidy knew that this was the way she, as a unicorn, was meant to be. Knowing this, she began reading various books and studying magic, to become more like a Canterlot unicorn. On the side, she worked on her to-be practice. They stayed there for two months before heading back to Ponyville.
Most of Tidy's fellow classmates back in Ponyville were thrown off by her newfound sophisticated personality and began talking less to her. Tidy didn't notice though, as she was busy starting up the clothes line just outside her house. Two years went by until she was 15-years-old. By this time, she had gotten much experience in the "art of the dress", and had gotten well acquainted with Rarity. However, Tidy is slightly jealous of Rarity's success because Tidy herself hasn't been getting too many customers.
One day, while on her way to the Carousel Boutique to chat with Rarity, Tidy met an earth pony by the name of Trick Star. The two quickly became close friends. When Tidy found out about Trick's lonely life, she invited him to live with her and her family. It took lots of persuasion, but her parents eventually gave in and allowed Trick to enter the household.
Trick and Tidy now spend their days supporting each other on their quests for success.
