It was seven o'clock, and the sun was starting to set. A taxi carriage had just pulled up at the entrance to a large forest, a bridge behind a large gate being the only way inside. Above it was a hanging sign that read "Everfree Pines". Strange, since it was more of a basic forest than a pine forest.
A blue pony with green, messy hair jumped off the carriage, carrying a saddle on his side and a pair of headphones on his head.
"Thanks, mate." He called to the "driver", who turned and sped off.
The pony looked at the forest and bridge in front of him, before pulling a note out of his bag.
"Yep, this is the place..." He mumbled, giving the end of the note another read.
"Wait for me at the entrance, Azure. I might be late.
Lustre""
There was a little heart at the end, her signature.
Putting the note away, Azure moved to the large gate, and sat down on the damp grass.
"Wonder if anypony else is coming..." He wondered.
Not all that long after Azure had thought of it, another carriage had soon pulled up, this one moving a tad slower than the other taxi had been going.
And not long after the carriage had stopped, an Earls Green unicorn with a head of ruffled-looking, bright, golden-blonde hair had hopped off.
Oh, I'm sorry, did I say "hopped off"? I meant fell off, landing face-first into the road. Groaning, the unicorn rolled over, just in time to receive a heavy suitcase that had been thrown out.
And by receive, I mean he received it right in the stomach. "Owww..." The unfortunate pony had groaned. "Why you gotta be so- Urp!" His face turned green as he covered his mouth with a hoof.
The sickness apparently subsided, though, when the carriage took off, as sulfurous mutterings cold heard from the driver before the taxi had disappeared off into the distance.
This unicorn wasn't having a good day, that much was obvious.
Azure looked up to see the event play out.
"Oh dear..." He said quietly.
A taxi crept down the long road toward the forest. It was an older model for a taxi and everyone that occupied the carriage prayed for the old gal to make it. After a while down the road, the taxi pulled over and told the two ponies the old taxi wouldn't make it any further. The mare with a coat of chocolate and a cotton candy mane as bright as her eyes let out a groan. She was passive aggressive while telling the driver they couldn't do this to them. But there really wasn't much more the taxi driver could do; it would be dangerous for them to continued. Unwillingly, the mare got out of the taxi as loudly as she could. The mare went on and on about how she is going to report the taxi driver and sue the city. While the mare was throwing a baby fit, the stallion had already got there luggage and tipped the driver. The muscular stallion with a bismark coloured coat with semi long olive green mane that he pulled back with a purple head band. Even with the mare throwing a fit, his golden eyes shined bright with joy. But the joy was replaced with fear once her rage was directed toward him. It was quite a scene; the stallion had a foot over the mare but even though she was small, she was force to reckon with. After all the years he knew her, he still didn't know how to defuse her without making it worse. But something must be done, the entrance to the forest was few miles away and having a mare yelling at him wouldn't make th-
???: Are you listenin' to me?! Hello?! I am talkin' to you!
The stallion was surprised to see the mare had moved within punching reach of him. He was caught off guard so he sheepishly responded,
???: Ha um, you are yelling than talking...
???: What?! Oh, you think this is yellin'?! Boy, I am not even at MAX volume yet. But comments like THAT will get me there.
???: Pink Cloud, please... Look, the entrance isn't that far away. Come on, a walk will do us good!
The mare, Pink Cloud, could feel her blood pressure rise. Her face twisted into a rage filled frown. Through her teeth she continued,
Pink Cloud: Do us good? DO US GOOD?! You know what would have "do us good"? If YOU called those shady taxi ponies earlier! I told you a thousand and one times they send the poop stick taxis if you call last minute! But I GUESS I JUST TALK FOR MY OWN HEALTH!
Well, even though he failed to defuse her, he still got her to start walking. But it was a more aggressive stomping with screaming kind of walk. The stallion let out a sigh as he picked up both their suitcases. In an exhausted tone he mumbled,
???: I hope this trip was worth the ear ache...
The stallion placed the bags on his back as he walked a few feet from Pink Cloud; he knew better than to stand close to a fire.
Azure groaned. Even his headphones couldn't block out the mare's voice.
Even though he hated doing it, he immidiatly took a slight dislike to the mare.
(Fake, we said only one OC per per exept for me and Naura. However, I'm feeling nice, so I'll allow it ^-^ )
A taxi pulled up, and a gray pegasus emerged from it. She handed the driver a few bits, and watched him drive off into the distance.
"I hope this was worth it," she muttered to herself.
A bit later than the rest, a Carriage of black makes its way to the where the rest had travelled prior. Upon arrival, the pony inside steps off, to see other ponies who had arrived before. The driver soon speeds the vehicle off.
"I apologize for the late arrival, the driver was being a bit of a donut," The pony states.

The two finally made it to the entrance of the forest. By now, the flame died down so Pink Cloud was left with an annoyed expression. The stallion looked exhausted but he still forced a smile. Pink Cloud looked around at the ponies who were already here. She didn't see any sign of the pony who invited her so she kept close to her companion. The stallion would usually warmly greet everyone but for the same of the mare, he kept quiet and just gave everyone a warm smile. He set down both of their luggage to give his back a break. Pink Cloud sat on top of her suitcase and tried to calm down.
Azure raised a hoof and gave the arrivals a wave. "Hey." He said. This was certainly an interesting cast.
"Good day((Is it day or night?)), my name is Lunar Rose, how about yourself?" He greets and inquires to Azure.
(("Azure raised a hand"? Isn't it supposed to be "hoof" for a pony? And oopsy~ I commented on it. :ajshifty: ))

(7 PM, sun is setting.)
"I'm Azure Wave. Nice to meet you."
He looked around at all the other, before looking back at Lunar. "So, you here for the week too?"

:o (Thanks for pointing that out. I keep thinking their all anthros.)
"Indeed. I thought it'd be a nice change of pace, and I was able to get time off from the Lunar Guard. Not like they could really deny it in the first place, though," He replies, chuckling, showing the hidden robotic eye.
"In case you're curious, I lost this thing in a battle alongside my squadron. Good stallions, they were," He explains.
The mare listened to the two converse with a bored expression; not bored by what they were saying but bored waiting. Her gaze then fell on the others that were here. She didn't keep the stare for long, they didn't peak her interest either. She started to rock back and forth on her suitcase. Her suitcase had wheels so she would scoot around in place with each rock. The stallion watch her carefully incase she fell off. But he thought it was a bit funny and let out a weak laugh. Pink Cloud couldn't help but smile; she felt silly rocking but it was fun.
*finally finding the right place because of seeing a crowd, Relic flies down towards them with a rather confused look*
Is this Everfree pines..?
"Helloooo!" A voice could be heard from one of the trees above the group. A honey coated Pegasus decked with a brown, overfilled saddlebag slid down in front of the crowd. She shock some leaves out of her mane and then looked around at the ponies who had gathered.
"Ah arrived here earlier, but it seems like ah fell asleep." The mare chuckled and blushed.
"You're the ones who Lustre gathered, ya?" She glared at the group with an unsure smile.

"Yeah." Azure said to the new arrivals.
What he didn't see was somepony approaching from behind the gate he was sat in front of.
"BOO!!"
Azure went sprawling away from the gate, turning around to see Lustre Gleam laughing behind the gate.
Pink Cloud let laughed loudly; she didn't know the unfamiliar pony would scare so easily. She also made a mental note of that. But she was still rocking while laughing and it caused the suitcase to tip over. Luckily, the stallion pushed the suitcase back up before she fell. But she didn't learn her lesson, the mare continued to rock as she giggled. She also noticed the two more ponies that arrived. The weird pony with the horns surprised her so she looked down at her hoofs instead. The stallion just rolled his eyes he watch her continued to rock. But, his real interest was Lustre Gleam. Now that she was here, the part can begin. In a booming voice he happily said,
???: Well, looks like we got us a party! I don't know about the rest of ya but I would like to see this cottage already!
He finished with his "winners" smile. Not only was he excited to get this party going, but Pink Cloud is getting fidgety.
(We need to wait for
@_BlazingInfinity , but I decided to have Lustre show up now)
Azure looked up at the mare who was laughing at him, before scowling and rising from the floor.
"Yeah. Let's see how YOU like being jumpscared right next to the Everfree Forest!"
"Calm down, everypony." Lustre said from behind the gate. "Still, it's so great to see you all here. I didn't think anypony would actually show up, honestly. Everfree and all. But still, I assure you, our lodge is as safe as Cheerilie's schoolhouse!"
Her expression dropped a bit.
"Oh, but, uh, we have a bit of a problem." She mentioned, before tapping the metal gate. "Gate's busted."
"Can't your unicorn magic just fix it up?" Honey questioned while tilting her head to see the gate better.
"Nope." Lustre sighed. "This part of the Everfree's got some...I dunno, curse or something on it. Basically, only minor telekenisis can be used. The gat's problem, however, is that it's just jammed. Maybe if somepony rams it?"
Another carriage pulls up. Dusk steps out of it.
"Hello Everypony!" she said. She was reading some book about life facts and insects.
"I've had to repair a fair bit of gates and the like during my service, I could probably work on it without causing anyone any physical harm in the process," Lunar pipes up.
(We have ponies called Lunar and Dusk...O_O lol)
"Really? Thanks, Lunar!" Lustre called, both her and Azure backing away from the gate.
Dusk walks up to the gate.
"Did anyone say hi back?" asked Dusk.
((Relic is the fairly quiet type so you might not hear from him all the time))
*Relic looks at the scenery in front of him, including the gate*
Relic(Thinking): I feel kinda stupid now. It says 'Everfree,' yet I went to different places... lol Only to find out that it's exactly where the Everfree is, and it's next door to where I live...
*He stops thinking and notices Dusk, and waves at her*
Pink Cloud let out one last laugh; she thought it was funny how the pony got upset. She then looked over at the gate. With an unimpressed expression she said,
Pink Cloud: So, how do we get to the cottage? Or is this the "Wilderness experience" portion of this get away?
As Pink Cloud spoke, her rocking got faster. For her safety, the stallion decided to lift her down from it. As she set her down she rolled her eyes as she said,
Pink Cloud: Latticino, go help them with the gate or somethin'. I don't need you to watch me.
The stallion, Latticino, just patted Pink Cloud on the head. As he started to walk toward the gate he said,
Latticino: Just sit tight Cotton Candy, if the bat pony can't get it to fix then we can just push through.
The stallion tapped at his muscle but Pink Cloud just rolled her eyes and laughed. Litticion walked up to the gate to examine it. He shook it a bit to see how sturdy it was. A swift kick could easily push open the door; but he wanted to give the bat pony a chance. So he leaned against the gate; secretly hoping he can kick it open.
Dusk is REALLY absorbed in her book. She can't really hear what any other pony is saying. Although she does know what is going on.
"Well I guess we are going to have to push our way through the gate." said Dusk. Her suitcase was packed with party poppers and pranks. She wouldn't be able to use them until she got inside.
Lunar closely inspects the gate, and tinkers with it using his wings. After a few minutes of trying to locate the source, he figures out its not able to be easily unlocked, and sees that Latticino wants to kick it down.
"Go ahead," He tells him.
*Walking up to the gate*
Can't some of us just... fly or teleport over the gate..? or climb?
*Even though he lives right next to the everfree, he hasn't seen this side of the forest before.. He thinks whether it is even open*
"Thanks for the help..." A sarcastic voice had said as the Earls green unicorn had shakily stood up, coughing as he picked up his suitcase with what little magic he could use in these parts.
"No no! Really nice, laying down on the ground; fantastic view of the night sky..." He then said, heading up to the gate. Fixing the other nearby ponies with an unimpressed look, he simply tossed his luggage over the wall, and began climbing over it.
He was a bit salty. No way was he going to even try helping ponies that didn't so much as even look at him. It made him wonder why he even bothered to show up.
Dusk put away her book and decided to start climbing as well. She was getting bored and needed somewhere to sit other than the ground.
The stallion let out a mighty laugh. As he turned around to face the dragon pony he said,
Latticino: Flying? Sure, I'm not gonna hold your wings down. Teleporting? Eh, I won't break your horns. But sometimes you just got have a little fun! And with my strength is rarely called for outside my job.
He was just about to buck the lock, till he heard a strange noise. To his surprise, a pony decided to climb over the fence. Latticino didn't want to put the stranger in harms way, so he turned around to watch him climb. Pink Cloud was back on top of her suitcase as she watch the whole thing with a smile. Before she let out a few giggles she said,
Pink: Lookie here, we got ourselves a squirrel colt among us! This should be good.
The mare continued to smile, hoping something funny comes out of this. The stallion; however, stood with a confused expression about the strangers decision.
*Relic shrugs, then flies over the gate to the other side.*
((it'll be cool if I was able to add one more dragon pony... lol this rp is to perfect for this certain pony in mind))
With a small grunt, the "squirrel colt" had pulled himself right to nearly the top, and began his attempt to switch over to the other side.
"Equestria's greatest superhero right here..." He had said to himself. "Squirrel Colt, Squirrel Colt... Does whatever a Squirrel does..."
However, in the middle of his mutterings, the unicorn's grip had soon slipped up, and after a bit of flailing, the colt had fallen off with a yell and landed on his back.
"Not again..." He groaned, before rolling over onto his front and beginning to pick himself up off the ground.
At least he'd made it to the other side.
"I..suppose we could climb, but it'd be better to also have this thing open, just in case," He reasons. Noticing that he'll just have to try messing with it more, he proceeds to try to find a way to get it undone.
After a bit of time, he manages to knock loose the holding mechanism, and open the gate. "Good, solved that problem," He says, smiling.
*Relic walks over to Illusion, smiling, and trying not to bust out laughing.*
Are you alright..? that was some fall there... :]
"I'm fine. Thanks for noticing this time..." The colt had said, dusting himself off upon getting to his feet. "I'm kind of used to it. Ended up taking my luggage right to the chest earlier when the taxi driver threw it out... Would've just walked if I didn't think I'd be late."
Sounds like you be having some rough days... :] At least we'll be chilling out here. I kinda need it myself...
"At least you're okay." said Dusk. She had already hopped over the wall.
"No way I'm climbing that!" Azure stated. "I can hardly climb up a bookshelf!"
"Ok, then." Lustre said, before turning to the others who were over. "You guys start heading up there. Me and Azure'll try and get the gate open. Just follow the path, and go left on the first fork. Got it?"
"Well, it was all fine right up until my motion sickness kicked in and I, um... kinda ended up giving the driver my dinner. In a bad way."
The unicorn cringed at the recent memory. "He wasn't happy."
Picking up his suitcase with, what else, his magic, he turned to those still on the other side of the gate.
"Take a right on the second fork. Got it, Lustre!" He then said, a grin on his face for the first time since he got off the carriage.
Pink Cloud smirked as she watched the stallion fall. Only a few minutes here and things are already interesting. Latticino shrugged and joined Pink Cloud back at their luggage. As he rubbed his chin he said,
Latticino: Yeeeeeeah, there is no way I'm gonna be able to climb the fence with our suitcases.
Pink Cloud shrugged as she said,
Pink Cloud: I wasn't gonna climb it either. We ain't squirrels Latti, just chill and let Lustre handle this.
Latticino sighed as he leaned against a tree; hopefully this won't take the gang much longer.
Azure backed up a bit, before running as fast as he could into the gate, Lustre pulling at it weakly with magic. Unsuprisingly, he just bounced right off it.
"Oww..." He groaned, before looking at Pink Cloud and Latticino. "Little help?"
Dusk tried to start a conversation with Illusion.
"Hi my name is Dusk. What's yours?" she asked.
The colt simply shrugged as he began to look over his suitcase, checking it to see if his tossing it over had broken anything. "...Just call me Grand Illusion, Illusion for short. Nice to meet you."
With a nod, the unicorn, Illusion, had begun walking up the path, waving for the others to follow. "C'mon, you two. We get to the lodge before everypony else, we'll probably see what dark and terrifying secrets Lustre might be hiding from us!"
Dusk laughed at the statement.
"Maybe she's going to try to prank us when we get inside!" she replied.
*So, we're ignoring the fact I opened the gate already?

(Whoops, missed that. Ok.)
Azure walked through the gate, Lustre following him.
"Come on, everypony!" She called back to whoever was behind.
*Apologies if I seemed rude, I wasn't trying to be.
"After you, good ponies," He states, being a gentlestallion by holding the gate for those that decided to wait.
The gray pegasus, named Sketch Art, followed the other ponies through the gate.
(so many replies already X3)
((Sorry Jcfraven! ))
Latticino picked up their luggage and followed the gang through the gate. Pink Cloud lagged behind as she looked around the forest. As she looked toward the top of the trees she said,
Pink Cloud: So how far is this cottage?
"About half a mile." Lustre replied. "Bit of a walk, but I got drinks and food all ready up there. Just be sure to stick to the path."
Honey buzzed after the group. She looked around at the ponies that had gathered, she found them all a little strange, most likely because she hadn't thought about them at all. She had been more intrested in what birds lived in the forest.
She realized after some steps that she should probably get to know them all, and quickly jumped infront of the bunch that had just walked through the gate.
"Hehe, maybe a lil introducing should be done?" She mumbled and stomped with her hoof in the dirt.
"Ya know, so we get to know eachother, that way we will have a more exciting trip!"
Pink Cloud let out a sigh as she said,
Pink Cloud: I guess that's a'ight. I more concerned with bein' out in this forest. A crowd of ponies will attract somethin'!
Latticino rolled his eyes with a smile, the mare was being tad more dramatic than usual. He shifted the luggage on his back to a more comfortable position while the buzzing mare jumped in front of the group. His was a bit taken back but smiled at her friendliness. With a cheerful tone he said,
Latticino: I agree with the yellow mare! I'll start us off! I am Latticino, the best glassblower you will ever met! Unless you already met a few glassblower, then I tie for first! And this here is Cotton Candy! I mean-
Pink Cloud: I'm Pink Cloud. Don't call me Cotton Candy. And you stop callin' me that too!
The mare lightly hit the side of the stallion. He just laughed as he ruffled her mane. The mare rolled her eyes and lagged even further behind the group. Latticino looked back at the group with a smile.
Latticino: Don't worry about her, I don't call her that for nothing!
"Well that's... good. I guess." said Dusk. She was ready to get inside and play some REALLY great pranks on these unsuspecting ponies. She also couldn't wait to pull off some puns.
"I'm Sketch Art," Sketch introduced herself.
Azure knocked a headphone off one of his ears. "I'm Azure Wave. Again. Nice to meet you all."
He then whispered almost inaudiably to himself. "Some more than others, "Cotten Candy"..."
Honey tried to hide a chuckle before speaking up.
"Ah'm Humming Honey, but everypony calls me Honey, pleasure to meet y'all." She smiled.
"Nice to meet you too. If you didn't hear me the first time, my name is Dusk." she said.
Lunar, once everypony was through, went up to the group as well.
"My name's Lunar Rose, Captain in the Lunar Guard," He introduces himself as.
((I didn't ignore them, Relic just flew over the fence and went before :3 ))
I'm Relic...
*He continues walking*
Soon, the group reached the lodge. It was a big old thing, clearly made for extended getaways. Thankfully, it wasn't too dark yet, but Lustre pulled out a flashlight anyway.
"So, here we are!" Lustre announced, trotting up the stairs and opening the door for everypony.
Inside, there was an entrance room, the wall lined with tiki masks.
"There's also the kitchen, a lounge room, and a cinema on the ground floor." She continued. "Upstairs is all your rooms, as well as the bathrooms and hot tub."
"Grand Illusion, as previously mentioned." Illusion introduced himself once more before they'd reached the lodge.
Once he'd entered the building, though, the unicorn nodded. "Niiice. I mean, sure, it looks a little old and dusty, but still. Nice."
Dusk laughs to herself in her head. This setting is PERFECT for her pranks.
Pink Cloud examined the cottage as she entered. She formed a small smile; she was impressed by the cottage. As she examined a nearby tiki she said,
Pink Cloud: Wooooooow, this place ain't half bad. I could get use to a gig like this.
Latticino set down their suitcases near the staircase. A large smile formed across his face. He took a deep breath and exhaled. Happily he said,
Latticino: This place looks amazing! You are one lucky mare, Lustre!
His smile widen as he took a load off on a nearby couch. With a satisfied sigh, he leaned back and gave his back a well needed break.
Looking around the Cottage, Lunar has twitches a couple of times, freezing up, before he shakes his head violently to clear whatever just came over him.
"An exquisite place, my dear Mare. Truly a magnificent establishment, never knew you owned something like this," He says, as though nothing happened.
"Thanks, everypony." Lustre smiled. "It kinda just...fell into our hooves. The old owners apparently went missing one and never came back."
"Missing? Was there any details as to what caused the disappearance?" He asks, curious.
Illusion let out a little chuckle. "Well, clearly it was some big horrible monster that up and ate them when they ventured too far into the woods. Either that, or they summoned demons, which also probably ate them. C'mon, don't you watch horror movies?"
Dusk heard about the missing pair, but she was here for pranks and the get together. She looked over at Lunar and Illusion. She thought that those two would fall first and second victim to her pranks.
*Relic continues to look around, and pokes at one of the tiki masks on the wall*
Hope it won't get crowded in here as the days go by...
*one of the tikis fall off*
Pink Cloud watch the tiki fall down. She looked down at the tiki, then at the Relic. The mare looked back down at the tiki and paused. Her eyes glanced over to Relic.
Pink Cloud: I think you broke it. . . .
Better you than me! I would hide it or somethin'. Don't want to start this trip off on the wrong hoof!
Pink Cloud chuckled as she looked back at the tiki on the wall in front of her.
"We don't know..." Lustre said, slightly seriously. "Some say they went insane from a curse put on this. Very. Lodge."
*He picks it up and puts it back on the wall like nothing had happened. He looks around, and hears what Lustre said...*
Curse? why?
"A curse you say? Did anypony ever figure what supposed curse there was?" He inquires.
Latticino scratch his chin as he listen to Lustre. After mulling it over for a bit he said,
Latticino: Sounds a bit... Unrealistic? I am sure its cause of the location! Not too many ponies would want to live in the EverFree. Just another myth that surrounds this forest.
Pink Cloud joined Latticino on the couch. She snickered at the others for taking this fairytale seriously.
"Oh please. It's the Everfree; you don't need an explanation for whatever weird curse happens to come floatin' around. Besides, none of us are exactly unstable, are we? I think we'll be fine for a week without going nutty."
Lustre laughed. "Oh, please. I doubt it's a curse. I mean, I've come here loads of times, and I'm fine! He Hee..."
She suddenly ran up to Azure. "Or am I...?" She snickered eviliy, before laughing out loud again. "I'm joking! C'mon, food's in the kitchen."
Lunar looks noticeably unnerved, as he reflects upon another situation similar, when he once lost his whole squadron. Shaking his head once more, he reluctantly proceeds to the kitchen, his face still looking to be bothered.
In the kitchen, there were multiple cakes, sandviches, drinks, salads, and other small snacks lain out neatly.
"I couldn't remember what each of you prefered, so I went nuts." Lustre smiled.
*Relic walks to the table.*
Do you have any meat..?
"YOU MADE THE PERFECT SANDWICHES!!!" said Dusk. She didn't know how Lustre made the sandwiches exactly how she liked them.
"Sorry for shouting." said Dusk.
Pink Cloud and Latticino stayed put on the couch. Neither of them were really hungry, but Latticino didn't want to be rude so he decided to go and get a drink. The stallion entered the kitchen and was surprised to see all the food provided. With a smile he said,
Latticino: Well, we better not let any of this go to waste! Sadly, the rest of you will have to pick up my slack. I already ate beforehand. But there is always room for drinks!
Latticino walked over and grabbed a cup of punch. The sugary drink forced a bigger smile on his face.
"I was unaware we had a meat eater in our party," Lunar comments, regarding Relic. He makes a small plate of Sandwiches and a salad, alongside pouring a small glass of Cider.

"Huh? Oh, sure, Relic! It's over there on the side desk. Didn't want to mix it up with the others." Lustre pointed, before clapping her hooves. "Now, sadly, I have to tell you that I overestimated the house; there's not enough rooms for everypony. However, there IS a guest cabin off a little deeper in the forest, and it's extra secure as a result. Three ponies'll have to camp out there for the weekend. Any takers?"
Azure rolled his eyes while chugging a soda. "Nope." He said quickly. "I think I'd rather stay here."
Lustre looked at him with a sassy look. "Oh, so you want to help me look for more firewood in the basement?"
"Uhh..." Azure fell silent. "...Lemme think."
Thanks, and I'll go. I don't mind being more secluded... It's more quieter. :]
*Relic walks over to the side desk and starts eating.*
"Considering I've been in worse places, I'll volunteer to take residence in the guest cabin as well," He says
"Oh noooo, a meat eater... He'll eat us all..." Illusion had said, before making a motion as if he was rolling his eyes.
"Red Velvet Marble...? You didn't." He then said, noticing a little row of red and white cupcakes. He promptly took a few. "You did...!" And now the unicorn was grinning. Looks like Lustre stumbled upon the recipe for his favorite cupcakes.
However, upon being told of a guest cabin, Illusion looked noticeably uncomfortable.
"Eeehhh... I'd really rather not... Secure or not, I actually don't want to go wandering further into the Everfree. I'm sure the road isn't as secure as you'd like to think. I'll go if I have to, but... Well, let's just say I'm perfectly fine with sleeping on a couch. I've had worse."
"Aww, little Illusion is scared. Don't worry, we'll get another pony so you don't have to go deal with a, what did you say again? "Big horrible monster"? Venturing in the woods is very scary indeed," He mocks, using Illusion's words against him.
Dusk picked up a few sandwiches. Actually "few" was not a good term. Dusk started eating the sandwiches. She had slipped a party popper onto the table that activates if anyone touches anything near the center of the table.
"This is the Everfree. Of course venturing into those woods is going to be scary. It's kind of a big deal, in case you haven't noticed."
The unicorn then sighed. "You know what? Fine. I'll bite. I'll brave the single most dangerous forest around. Just not right now."
"Good boy, I'll get you a cookie whenever possible!" He praises, with a smug grin.
(man, I'm not sure that I can keep up with you guys :c I'll do my best)
Sketch left her bag in the hall, and joined the others in the kitchen. The sight of all that delicious looking food made her mouth water, and she quickly wiped her mouth to prevent anypony from seeing her do so. She had her eye on a cake near the center of the table, and she reaches out to take a piece.
Dusk smiles as she sees Sketch reaching for the middle. The popper should go off at any minute now.
Looking upon Sketch, he senses something strange, but isn't sure why. He heads to Sketch, and states: "Allow me."
*If you don't want me to do that, we can ignore this post of mine.
Illusion, soon noticing Dusk's little smile, had immediately gotten a bit suspicious. He followed where she was looking, and immediately saw Lunar offering to grab a cake.
Being no stranger to the pranking business, that was enough for him to get a basic idea. Looking away with a shrug, the unicorn began a little countdown in his head. Three... Two... Aaaaand...
Dusk was waiting for it to happen. She knew one of these ponies was getting a face full of cake.
Upon reaching for the cake, and starting to move it, he notices something hidden, and immediately ducks, bringing Sketch down as well, right before the popper goes off.
Dusk did not like the fact that they avoided the cake.
"Hey! What are you doing!?" Sketch yelled as the pony pulled her away from the table. She was about to get up when a lous noise was heard, and cake showered everywhere, barely missing them. She was silent for a moment.
"Hey, thanks," she said to her savior.
"Boooooriing!" Illusion had called out, looking visibly disappointed with the results of the prank. Mostly because Lunar didn't end up wearing the cake. Also, the cake was ruined.
Not only was the batpony a mocking jerk, it seemed, but a spoilsport as well. One that "sensed" pranks because reasons.
And yes, the unicorn was a bit salty about that.
(Ignore this)
Honey had jumped into the air as the cake bomb went off, and was now hugging the roof for her dear life.
"Wh-ho blew up that cake?" She whispered, flustered.
"Anything for a mare in need. I kind of jumped the gun on that one, but I'm fairly glad I did," He says, chuckling in reply, helping her up.
*Honestly, the 'sensing' situation only really occurred because of being skeptical about being here, due to the sub-plot I established earlier, alongside the fact it's the Everfree in a cabin full of ponies he doesn't know. Whenever something similar happens again, it'll be better explained in the context.
"Th-thank you..." She sighed as she got down on the ground again. She then went up to the table, looking around carefully, before grabbing a sandwich with tulips and bolting off the second she got it.
Dusk just started laughing at the other mare's reaction. She was still eating her sandwiches.
Sketch nodded. "I think I'll eat a sandwich instead." She reached out for one.
*Relic just sits on the couch, looking at whatever is happening... lol *
"They're definitely good. I'll be outside if you need me, I need some fresh air," He states.
Dusk excuses her self to use the bathroom.
Honey sat down in the living room. She looked around for more of those tiny explosives, and sighed in relief when none were found. She took out a sketchbook and started flipping through the pages, trying to remember what birds she hoped to find.
Dusk walks back into the room with the most innocent face possible.
"Well I'm back." said Dusk. She sat down next to Honey. She had a feeling that her and Illusion were going to get along very well.
He finds an old 2-Pony Wooden Swing((Assuming everyone knows what I'm talking about)) and sits on it, taking care to avoid a likely recurrence of prior events. He looks up at the moon and sighs, leaning back and closing his eyes.
Illusion, after chowing down the last of the cupcakes he'd taken, just shook his head upon seeing Dusk's "innocent" face. The only thing she needed to complete the image would've been a halo.
"Well, If you don't mind, Lustre, I think I'll go ahead and soak for a while in that hot tub you mentioned. Try to relax a bit. If you don't mind, of course..."
Honey gave the mare an skeptical glare, but went back to looking through the book.
Having eaten something, Sketch went to her bag and removed a book. She went to the couch, sat down, and started reading.
((Oh boi, a lot happened while I was asleep. LoL ))
Pink Cloud looked over at Sketch reading. She raised an eyebrow as she said,
Pink Cloud: You do know this is a vacation right? A social vacation? Why you readin'?
"Sure thing, Illusion." She nodded before turning to Azure. "Y'know, I-"
(Here we go)
Suddenly, all the lights shut off, leaving the entire lodge in darkness.
"Oh dear..."
Latticino was pouring himself another drink when the lights went out. As he took a sip he said,
Latticino: Is this part of the trip, Lustre?
He then went over to one of the light switches and tried turning it back on. When that failed, a small frown formed across his face. He then started to rub his chin as he thought of what to do next.
Azure groaned. "Okay, whoever put the stupid popper in the cake, fess up and stop messing with Lustre's stuff!"
"Calm down everypony!" Lustre called. "Azure, Latti, could you come down to the basement with me? Generator must be on the fritz."
"Can you please hurry up? Ah can't see a thing in this darkness..." Honey stuttered while frantically looked around herself so nopony would sneak up on her in the darkness.
Sketch was about to reply to Pink when the lights went out. She tries getting up, but ended up tripping instead.
Latticino: Of course! Beats flickering the light switch!
Latticino looked around the corner toward Pink Cloud. The mare was already looking over the couch.
Pink Cloud: Can you guys hurry up!? I don't think anyone wants to sit the dark. Thanks in advance; would hate to forget to do that!
As the mare slid back down in the couch Latticino rolled his eyes at her comment before looking back at Lustre and Azure with a smile.
Pink Cloud sat with an annoyed expression till she heard a thud. Assuming one of the ponies fell, she let out a groan as she jumped off the couch. She carefully walked around the room till she bumped into the fallen mare. She then reached out a hoof to help her up.
Sketch felt a hoof tap her; she groped blindly in the darkness for it until she came across it, and accepted it in her own hoof.
Lustre grabbed Latti and Azure's hooves, and led them to a door, opening it to reveal even more dark. Flicking on the flashlight, she hoofed it to Azure.
"You two stay together. I know this place like the back of my hoof, so I don't need the light that much."
She began to decend down the stairs leading to the basement.
Latticino watched the mare disappear into the darkness with a frown. He yelling toward Lustre he said,
Latticino: Be careful Lustre! Remember to scream if you need help!
The stallion then started to walk down the steps.
Latticino: Alright Azure! Let's get the party train back on track! This shouldn't take the three of us that long!
Pink Cloud pulled Sketch up with all her strength. With a smirk she said,
Pink Cloud: Wow, the lights are off less than a minute and you already fall. Whatever, its this stupid cottage fault. You think everythin' would be up to order when there are gonna be guest.
The mare let Sketch back to the couch she was sitting at. She jumped back onto it and waited for the lights to turn back on.
Azure sighed. "I freaking hate the dark..."
Flicking on the flashlight, he began to descend with Latti.
The basement was gigantic, a floor of its own with multiple rooms.
"I'll get the generator!" Lustre's voice called out from the dark. "You two try and find some firewood just in case!"
Latticino smiled as he slowly took each step. Once he made it to the bottom he said,
Latticino: Now, the dark is not that bad! I love the dark! Its like you're blinking but for a long time! Well, you heard the lady. Let's get some fire wood!
The stallion stuck close to Azure but would still examine the area around him for fire wood.
Dusk stood up and felt around. She thought she felt Honey next to her.
"Honey, is that you?" asked Dusk.
"Who turned off the lights?"
Honey squeaked when she felt a hoof on her wing, but when she heard the voice she sighed and replied.
"Yeah, its me alright, ya okay?"
"I'm fine. Are you okay?" Dusk replied. She already knew how much Honey distrusted her.
Sketch sighed as she sat back onto the couch. "I hope they get the lights working soon," she muttered.
(will be gone for a day)
((Hope to see you soon Waaaah ;)))
"Yeah, ah'm good." Honey smiled. She slid off the sofa, while still touching Dusk with her wing.
"We should look for a lantern or somethin', ya know, so we can see at least three hooves in front of us."
Dusk did not like that idea. Plus, it was dark. She hated the dark.
"Let me go get it." she replied. Dusk knew that in horror movies, you never go alone when the power is out, but she had to do something. She let go of Honey and started walking upstairs. Somewhere Dusk had never been.
Lunar, not noticing the fact that the lights are off, trots inside, and frowns at the predicament.
"May I inquire as to what's going on?" He asks.
Azure looked around and around, but there was no firewood to be seen anywhere.
What nopony heard was the door to the basement shutting and locking.
"You found any?" Azure called.
Latticino: Not yet! I am sure its around here... Somewhere...
Latticino would pick up large objects and look behind them. A frown would form each time he failed to find a piece of firework.
Azure, once again, sighed. "Well, that means we gotta-"
Then...
"AAAAAAAAAAAGHHH!!"
Lustre's voice split the air, making Azure jump, spin, and aim the flashlight everywhere.
"W-What?! Lustre?!"
"The lights went out, Lustre went down with tha' dark blue unicorn and tha' Latte stallion to fix it." Honey told Lunar as she sat back on the sofa.
"Swell," He replies, not taking too big a liking to that prospect. He looks at her and the sofa.
"Would it be fine if I sat down as well?" He inquires.
"Go ahead." She allowed with a smile towards the voice, her eyes not able to make out any figures in the darkness.
Dusk goes upstairs to try to find the lantern. She opens the door to the bedroom. She walks in her room and she sees a lantern at the corner of the room. She picks it up, lights it, and walks out of the room. Although she thought she heard a voice whispering 'Be warned.'
The stallion turned toward where he thought he heard the mare's scream. He took a few careful steps forward and shouted Lustre's name a few times.
Dusk came back downstairs.
"Good news! I found the lantern!" she said.
"Yay!" Honey clapped her hooves together and lightly fluttered with her wings.
"Now, while we wait for the others to return, why don't we play a game or somethin'? Ah got cards in my bag." Honey chirped and started looking through her bag in excitement.
"HELP!" Lustre yelled fom the dark. "SOMETHING'S GOT ME!!!"
Azure took a look at Latti, before pegging it straight into the darkness.
"Hold on!" Azure called.
"You guys want to play war?" said Dusk. She was great at that card game.
((dang I went to sleep and everything is happening! lol ))
*Relic took a little nap on the couch until he starts hearing ponies talking about the lights going out. Perfect time for sleeping!*

Guys...?(trying to speak loudly) Whats happening?!
(The door down there is locked, and no one can hear them)
((would you believe me if I told you that the reason Relic doesn't like loud noises was because he has a good sense of hearing that's better than the average pony or dragon pony?... But I edited my post. I was reading through the comments to see what I missed.))
(Maybe he hears something, but finds the door is locked?)

(Maybe he hears something, but finds the door is locked?)
((yea, but I'll let him stay on the couch lol unless you want him to down there ))
(Ok, leave him ^-^ )
Latticino follows behind Azure with a concerned look. He wasn't too sure what could be down there so he slowed down a bit; just to be safe.
Dusk waits patiently for Honey. She puts the lantern on the table and looks at the other ponies around the table.
"Ah, a flame, a light in the darkness," He states, chuckling ominously.
Azure took a sharp turn around a corner, only to be tackled to the floor by a figure who yelled right in his face.
"WAAAAAAGH!" Azue screamed, before shining the light on his assailant.
It was Lustre, and she began laughing like mad.
"Ha ha haa! You really bought it!"
Latticino was shock at first to hear the yell but once he saw Lustre he sigh with relief.
Latticino: Thank Luna you are alright. Don't do that ever again!
He couldn't help but let out a few chuckles. Latticino wasn't much for the serious type.
"Oh, it wasn't much for you, Latti. I know Azure scares easy."
"Hey!" Azure yelped. "Well next time you tell a joke, just do a jumpscare again, don't scream like you're about to-!"
He was going to finish, but Lustre gave him a quick peck on the cheek. That shut him up.
"Okay, okay. Let me just flick the generator back on, now it's all sorted, and then we'll get out of here."
She helped him up, and skipped away again, hitting a button next to a generator. Nearby, there was a large boiler as well.
[It looks like you're all trying to teach me not to ever sleep, or else I'll miss everything. :(]
Illusion had been utterly lost when the lights had gone out, wandering aimlessly around the building in an attempt to find somepony.
They abandoned you, of course, in more ways than one. Should you be surprised...? Probably not...
The unicorn shook his head; this wasn't the time for ridiculous thoughts. "Guys...?"
Latticino let out a laugh as he nudge Azure. He gave him a wink before he continued the search for more fire wood.
"Hm? Oh, Latti, we don't need wood. That was just an excuse to get you two down here."
All around the house, lights were flickering back on, one bursting from discharge, however.
But, in the kitchen, something odd had happened.
All of the food laid out was gone.
"Yes Illusion?" replied Dusk. She heard him and was in the same room as him. She took up the lantern and touched him on the back.
Illusion twitched upon being tapped, but soon breathed a sigh of relief as he turned around to see Dusk. "Sorry, I just kinda couldn't see you anywhere for a moment... Somehow."
Mentally, he just shook his head. What was I thinking? No way they could possibly lose me when we were all in the same room...
Dusk waved her hoof in front of Illusion's face.
"Illusion you okay?" said Dusk.
"I'm fine." The unicorn had stated, Catching Dusk's hoof with his own once she started waving in his face. "C'mon, do I really look like the type to just space out or spontaneously go blind?"
Well, he did have his eyes closed all the time...
((Sorry, I passed out x3))
Honey was just about to ask what kind of game war cards was when Illusion started to talk. Then when the lights went on she laughed and gave them both a huge grin, now being able to see them better.
*Relic opens his eyes from the long sleep. Seems as though the lights are back on, but he couldn't help wondering what Azure and Lustre was screaming for in the basement (he couldn't tell which one). What's bothering him now is the fact that this place feels kinda uncomfortable now...*
Relic(stretches): ... What are we doing now? Did I miss anything..?
"We could still play a card game. War cards you said?" Honey replied to Relic with her eyes on Dusk.
Azure stammered a bit. "I-I...ugh, whatever. Let's just get out of here. I need another sandvich."
(Sorry, got TF2 on the brain :) )
((I was playing TF2 there's just some minutes ago lol! "Sandvich makes me stroong!" - Heavy ))
Latticino shrugged as he said,
Latticino: Still, a fire would be nice later. I'll come back when the time calls.
He gave the two a smile before he headed back upstairs.
"Sure we can still play while we wait." replied Dusk.
Lustre skipped ahead of him, and reached for the door handle. She gave it two pulls.
"Uh oh."
"Oh, cards? I guess I'll play a few rounds... War, somepony said?" Illusion has asked, before he then began scratching at the back of his head, grinning sheepishly.
"But, ah... You'll have to gimme the basics, though. Haven't really played many card games, so... If you don't want me playing, that's fine, too."
"Yeah, me too, neva' played this "card war"..." Honey told the ponies as she put her bag down, pulling up a normal pack of cards.
Latticino: What's the hold up Lustre? Door to heavy? Just put your back into it! Your inner strength will show that door who to obey!
Latticino said as he worked his way up the staircase
"It's not just heavy, it's..."
She suddenly tackled the door to no effect.
"...locked."
A concerned look cross Latticino's face as he joined Lustre. He gave the door handle a few jiggles; yup its locked. As ran his hoof through his mane he said,
Latticino: It IS lock! It must have been locked by one of the other party guest! Maybe we could call out to them?
*Nopony bothers with the ominous batpony taking interest in a flame xD
"Card games are always pretty fun, but all I know how to play really well is the game Cheat, so I'll need to learn," Lunar says after a bit.
"Lustre, please, enough." Azure said. "I don't want to act like a party killer, but I'm tired. Can you please just open the door?"
"It's not me this time!" Lustre argued. "Crud, this thing's heavy duty. We need to find another way out."
Sketch sighed with relief as the lights flickered back on. She immediately went back to reading her book.
(back! kinda anyways X3)
((feeling ignored for some reason... Relic is usually quiet though))
*Relic looks around*
Aren't we missing a few ponies? or is it just me..? :3
"Hmm, yeah, now that ah think about it... The lights are back on, they should be back by now..." Honey thought out loud and looked around the room.
"Yeah they should be... so I guess no cards. However, we could talk about our greatest fears to each other!" replied Dusk. She just wanted a nice conversation about phobias.
Latticino: Um... Maybe we should... Okay, yeah, lead the way girly.
Latticino forced a smile as he scratch the back of his head. He really didn't want to venture through the basement but he doubt anyone would come and check on the trio anytime soon.
"Greatest fears? Interesting topic of choice for a group of strangers," He says, suspiciously.
"Oh its something I do. Anyway I'll start... my greatest fear is... isolation." said Dusk.
"Hm? It appears we're more similar than I thought, Madam," He states.
Sketch pulled her book closer to her face.
"Greatest fears, huh?" Illusion had asked, tapping a hoof against his chin. "Hm... Hard to say, really. Mostly because I'm about 95% certain one of you will use it against me."
Lustre began to make her way back down the stairs. Azure had basically given up on sighing, and followed her. Thankfully, his eyes were getting used to the dark.
"I wonder if the others have gone to the guest cabin yet..." Lustre wondered. "Anyway, look around anywhere. I think there's a door down here. Never opened it before, though."
"Promise I won't." replied Dusk. She crossed her heart.
Latticino: . . . . Ha ha ha, that's not very comforting. But this is your cottage so you know what's best.
Latticino let out a sigh; at this point he wasnt sure if this was another prank of hers.
"You'd better not. You know what they say about breaking promises... Or, rather, losing a friend's trust." Illusion had said.
Foreverrrr...
The unicorn then shivered, looking around rapidly as if he'd heard something. "Did you guys...? N-nevermind. It's nothing."
He then sighed.
"...To be honest, I've never actually thought of it. I suppose it would be... the loss of freedom and free will, I guess? I'm my own pony, and I make my own choices. I can't stand the idea of being used like a puppet, nor can I tolerate the concept of fate or prophecies, because to me they imply that I have no real control over my life."
Illusion then chuckled. "But that's not exactly what you wanted to hear, is it? Nah, you wanted to know if I was afraid of bees or something, didn't you? Sorry, you're going to need a better promise before I spill those beans."
"I already have enough info. Plus, I read your fear already. I just stuck ALL of the components together." replied Dusk.
"What do you mean "read my fear"? You don't honestly think I'm that easy to read, do you?"
"Hmm..." Honey didn't want to tell her fears either, for similar reasons as Illusion.
But, she already told us hers, so ah guess if she tries somethin', we could always get her back... She thought to herself.
"My biggest fear is not finishing somethin' before its deadline." Honey giggled.
"But I suppose somethin' like that ain't gonna occur out here, so ah'll give you one more. Ah'm not so fond of tight spaces." She added.
After a few minutes of searching, Lustre called out to the two.
"Guys, look! Found it!"
She was stood next to an old, dusty, half broken looking door.
"It's locked too, but one good tackle should bring it down."
(Also, no-one upstairs noticed all the food disappearing?)
Latticino examined the door; he could easily break it down. But he wasn't too sure if he should. Anything could be behind the door.
He took a deep breath and took a few steps back. With all his strength, Latticino ram into the door. The door was loose and could easily be opened. Latticino smiled at the two; happy he could help.
Pink Cloud hopped off the couch; a bit bored she decided to fight the boredom with a snack. Once she made it to the kitchen, she was surprised to see all the food was gone. Frustrated and tires she said,
Pink Cloud: Wooow! Thanks for leavin' some food for the rest of us guys! Really, it wasn't like anyone else was hungry!
The mare let a frustrated sigh as she kicked over an empty cup on the floor.
"Huh?" Honey hopped off the couch and went back to the kitchen to see an empty table.
"Ah don't... Did ya guys blow up more food?" Honey asked back to the ponies in the living room.
"I haven't noticed anything, and I have no reason to get more food anyway," He states.
Behind the door was a long hallway, and an old one at that. It looked unstable.
"...Okay. One: what the heck is this? Two: why is it here, Lustre?!" Azure asked. They weren't in the lodge for five minutes before something went wrong.
"I don't know...but its our only way out."
"Well, laides first, then."
Other than me eating all of the meat portion, is anyone noticing Azure and Lustre are still down in the basement, and the fact that no one is going down there to see what they're doing..?
*After Relic says that he looks around again. To him it still doesn't feel right in here he though...*
"No, I've been here the entire time," Sketch said from behind her book.
"Right... Should probably check up on those two. Or was it three? I dunno, but I'm heading down to see if I can find Lustre. You guys comin', or is Little Illusion going to be the bravest one here?"
I'll go with you. I was meaning to get up and go to that other cabin deeper in the forest after they came back, but I guess I should go later.
*He gets up from the couch and stretches.*
Pink Cloud frowned as she said,
Pink Cloud: Latticino. Latticino is the third one. And I really don't think y'all need to check on them like they foals.
The mare took another swift kick to a cup before returning to the couch Sketch was at. Annoyance could be seen written across her face with a hint of sleepiness.
Latticino examined what he could see from the doorway. A worried expression was across his face as he waited for the two to lead the way.
*Relic walks to where the basement is.*
Foals or not... you'll still get lost, especially if they don't know much about a place.
Lustre stepped forward into the hall, Azure following behind, and continued to walk. The further down the hall they got, the more they realized this was basically an underground building.
"What is all this...?" Lustre wondered.
(Im not going to be able to post for awhile.)
Dusk got up and got more sandwiches.
((But all the sandwiches were gone... Did she make more?))
Honey sat back at the living room, finally being able to look through her bird book. She sat down with a grin and pulled up the book in her lap.
"Yeah... I'm gonna have to go with, ah... what was the name...? R-Relic on this one. It really can't hurt anything to go see for ourselves, can it?" Said Illusion as he followed the dragon pony to the basement doors.

(There was meant to be a lot of food left)
((Ah, my bad :I))
Latticino: You have an. . . . interesting house Lustre. . .
He weakly chuckled as he followed the two. He had a bad feeling about this but he still had faith that Lustre knew what she was doing
(Back!!!!)
Dusk came back magically with more sandwiches. How you ask???? WIZARDRY!!!!
"Well what should we do while we wait??" she asked.
Sketch sniffed, and was surprised to smell sandwiche! She peered out from behind her book, and noticed one of the ponies with a plate full of sandwiches!
"H-How did you get those?" Sketch asked confusedly. Wasn't all the food gone?
"I have my ways." replied Dusk. She sat down. She pulled a book out of her cloak. It was a horror novel.
The group continued to walk though the hall, even turning corners. After a littlw bit of non stop-walking, a breeze blew through the hall; there was a way out ahead.
"You feel that? Finally." Azure said.
"Well what should we do now??" asked Dusk.
"YES, AH FOUND IT!" Honey screamed out and threw her book into the air. She then looked around the room and started to blush.
"Hehe, sor-" She giggled before the book hit her right on her forehead, and she fell like a ragdoll to the floor.
Latticino: Yes. . . But it seems like it leads outside. . . I'm getting a bad feeling about this. . .
Regardless of his feelings, he continued to follow the duo.
Dusk just facehoofed and helped Honey back up.
Honey turned out to be unconscious.
"Well then..." said Dusk. She dropped Honey on the couch. This was going to be a LONG night.
*Relic and Illusion find their way to the basement, and find that it is locked from the outside (or inside..?)*
Relic: Is it normal for someone to lock themselves in the basement?
Lunar, who was asleep for a while, wakes up, finding himself outside again, somehow.
"Must've walked out here at some point, I should probably head back inside before they think I abandoned them," He states out loud, heading inside.
On the couch, where Honey was lying, somepony would have a hard time seeing the hoof that had grabbed her, and began dragging her into another room, nearing the exit.
Feeling a little hungry, Sketch put down her book to get more sandwiches, when she noticed that Honey was no longer on the couch. A hoof was pulling her away, and she was almost out of sight.
"Hey!" she shouted, and took off after her.
(I've been looking for an excuse as good as any to rp more in the rp X3)
Dusk notices a hoof dragging Honey away.
"DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THAT??" she shouted. She pointed to the spot where it was. She thought nopony else saw it.
"Nevermind!" she said as she ran after Honey with Sketch.
Whatever it was that was pulling her, it realized that it'd been spotted. It put on a burst, running fast enough as to always stay just out of sight, still dragging Honey.
"Get back here!" Sketch yelled at the... thing that was dragging Honey away, and increased her speed. She might have to use her wings at this rate.
"So Sketch you going to use those wings of yours yet?" said Dusk.
"Lustre playing one of her pranks, I suppose?" Illusion had said, before shaking his head and getting up close to the door, his horn beginning to glow green as a similar glow began to shine from inside the lock.
"Oh good, I can still do that. Looks like it really is simple telekinesis... Um... Try not to tell anypony that I know how to pick a lock like this, alright?"
With that said, the unicorn continued to fiddle with the door, the lock making small clicking noises as the glow from within started flickering.
His ears then twitched as he continued to work. "Hey, dragon-colt, you hear something just now...? Sounded like the others are having some drama or something like that..."
"Not unless I have to," Sketch said through gritted teeth as she continued her chase.
The thing crashed through the exit door, making a sharp turn and running to the left of the house, and deeper into the forest.
Back at the underground building, the group arrived at a large gate. The wind was blowing through a small gap in the wall. It was big enough for a small pony to fit through, but not a fully-grown one. A once-over of the surrounding area showed there was no sign of opening it from their side.
"Great. Now what?" Azure asked. "Why's there even a gate here if you can't open it?"
"I think it's the exit to...whatever place this is. It's almost like a prison..." Lustre replied. "Feel the wind? The exit must be on the other side."
She looked at the gap, then at Azure. "Azure, I'm too tall, and I'm pretty sure Latti won't fit either. Er, um, no offence, Latti. Didn't mean it like that."
Azure looked dumbfounded. "What?! What's the point? There's no way to open this thing!"
Lustre shook her head. "On this side. Maybe there's a lever or something on the other?"
With the speed that things was moving at, Sketch had no choice. As much as she hated to have to use her wings, she wasn't willing to let another pony suffer because she didn't want to use them. She unfurled her wings, and started flying; her speed increased quite noticeably.
Latticino kept close to the duo. He would look around the area; trying to wrap his head around what was going on. The stallion was lost in his thoughts when the trio made it to the gate. He only caught the part about him being too big. A bit surprise he looked back at the group with a confused look. Latticino let out a weak chuckle as he said,
Latticino: No worries girly. But maybe a few good kicks will loosen it a bit? . . .
The stallion examined the gate and gave it a few good shakes. He wasn't sure if a good kick would be enough this time. A frown formed across his face as he said,
Latticino: I don't think a good kick will do. . . Unless I shatter my bones in the process, Ha. . . Let's just search the area. I'm sure something useful is laying around here some where.
Pink Cloud had a horrified look across her face as she watch the mare get dragged. She quickly ran toward the staircase. The mare looked back at the few ponies chasing after her before heading upstairs. She didn't know where to hide so she stayed close to the staircase. The mare wanted to go look for Latticino but knew it would be no go if she was in harms way. So the mare watch from the top of the staircase; waiting for the area to be safe again.
I hear it as well... Geez, when one thing happens, another comes up somewhere else here. I wonder why... Oh, and I won't tell ;)
'Well this has gone uphill quickly' thought Dusk.
"Thanks. Saves me from the awkward questions." Illusion had said as he continued to fiddle with the lock.
"Almost... C'mon... There she goes!" He then suddenly announced, a louder click signalling that the door had been unlocked. With some effort from the unicorn, the door soon swung open.
"Real heavy-duty thing..." He said to himself. "Anyway, let's get a move on. And don't wander off too far, alright? Lustre might try an' jumpscare you or somethin' like that..."
These ears aren't just for the little things. ;)

((wait is it still dark in the basement??))
(Not in the main part. In the old underground building, however, it's pitch black save for the flashlight Lustre has.)
The creature dragging Honey dove into the bush off the beaten path. It slowed down slightly, but began using the bush as camouflage.
Lustre walked close to the gate, trying to look around past it with the light.
"I wouldn't kick anything in here unless we want a cave-in...wait, there's something...there!" She exclaimed; on the wall behind the shut gate, there was a switch. It looked primitive, but most likely would open the door if pulled. "Come on, Azure." She asked again, before pouting. "It's just a quick trip; open the door and we'll be straight through!"
Azure still kept his grumpy face, before sighing. "Ok...but only for yo..." He started, before cutting himself off nervously.
He crouched, took a few deep breaths, and climbed through, Lustre holding the flashlight on the switch.
"Right... Just stay close, buddy." Illusion had said, taking careful steps down into the basement, looking all around for anything that looked even remotely out of place.
It a house filled with pranksters, even if it was just a few, he couldn't let his guard down. That's when they'd jump out.
"Lustre, you still down here? Hello? Anyone at all?"
Dusk continued to chase after Honey. She wasn't an athlete, but she was an Earth Pony so at least she could keep up.
Anyone still in here..? It feels strangely empty in here.
*Relic walks slowly around the basement, looking and listening closely to any noise that might come up. He can't help the fact that he feels this uncomfortable feeling coming back. It's like they're being watched...*
Lunar trots through the house, looking for members of the group.
Latticino grinned as he saw Azure crawl through the gate. He hoped that this will be over and the trio can join the gang back upstairs. As he leaned against the wall he said,
Latticino: Gee, I wonder how the others are doing? They must be having too much fun to notice that we've been gone for a while. . . So. . . To lighten the mood, what made you decide to get all of us together Lustre?
The stallion smiled warmly as he tried to keep himself calm. The whole situation was a bit nerve wracking and he was willing to talk about anything to keep his mind off it.
Pink Cloud peaked over the staircase and watch the bat pony wonder around. She was too scared to say anything so she scooted back into hiding. The mare didn't know who to go to or what to do. She was starting to worry about Latticino and about the mare that got dragged. Pink Cloud closed her eyes, hoping that this all would be over when she opened them again.
Hearing a slight noise nearby, Lunar looks around.
"Hello? Is anypony there?" He inquires.
Pink Cloud thought about replying. It wouldn't do her any good to be by herself and she really didn't like being alone. The mare opened her eyes and peaked over the staircase. Sheepishly she said,
Pink Cloud: . . . . Ye', I'm up here. . . Stuff is goin' down and I don't want to get mixed with it. . .
The mare held her stare on Lunar for a few seconds before creeping back into her hiding spot.
Lunar trots over to her location, confused. "What do you mean?" He asks.
Even though he saw pretty much nothing to be afraid of, Illusion still felt his heart-rate beginning to quicken. "Nothing here...? That's... odd. Maybe we shouldn't be here..."
However, it was at that point he had noticed a doorway, it's door completely battered down by somepony or something.
And the hallway behind it was completely dark. Not only that, but the little he could see of it looked incredibly dodgy... Like so much as bumping into a wall the wrong way would bring it all down completely.
"Now I know we shouldn't be here... Nopony should be here. And yet... LUSTRE! HELLOOOOO! COME ON, ANSWER ME!" He then shouted, his voice echoing for some distance down the hall.
Sketch finally managed to catch up to the thing dragging Honey away just as it entered a bush.
"Gotcha!" she exclaimed as she pounced.
Dusk caught up as well and saw sketch about to pounce.
The mare gave him look as if he just said something really dumb. As she rolled her eyes she said,
Pink Cloud: Are you tellin' me you did not see what just happened to. . . Whatever the yellow mare's name is. Look, we can't just sit here and wait for it to come back! We like, have to do somethin'!
Even though she was coming off as rude, her fear was seeping through her words. Pink Cloud decided to come down stairs but she took careful steps.
Don't you think they went really deep into that corridor..? I can't even see what's deep in it because it's so dark. How big is this place..?
*Relic walks in the hallway.*
"Well, I somehow ended up asleep outside in the front," He responded. Understanding the nature of her voice, he tries to make himself not sound angry or snappy at her.
"What exactly is the 'it'?" He asks.
The thing in the bush reared up a kick, and attacked in Sketch's direction.
Lustre looked at Latti. "Well, I just got this new lodge. How could I not use it with all my friends?"
Azure had grabbed onto the lever on the other side. "Maybe you should have explored this place a little. Ugh, and what's this? It looks like a cave in he-"
Azure suddenly went quiet.
Because a black hoof had just grabbed his mane from behind.
He was only just able to pull the switch before he suddenly went flying backwards, into the pitch black.
"AAAAAAAAGH!!!"
"Oomph!" Sketch grunted as she was kicked by the thing, having been caught off guard. She was sent flying backwards for a few feet, after which she dived right back it.
"Why you!"
"Dang it... I can't see anything in here...!" Illusion had muttered as he followed Relic, his head on a swivel as he became increasingly nervous in such a clearly unsafe area.
His eyes were already starting to adjust, true, but that still didn't ease his nerves. "It's a lot bigger than we thought, that much is true... And call me crazy, but I'm starting to think that this place isn't just a few cabins in the forest..."
Latticino jaw dropped as he watch the stallion disappear. Fear filled his eyes as he froze in place. He looked over at Lustre and he sheepishly said,
Latticino: Lustre, this better not be one of your pranks. . . What the hay just happened to him?!
Pink Cloud made it down stairs and started to look around. As her eyes swished from side to side she said,
Pink Cloud: How should I know? It just grabbed some pony and left! I wasn't 'bout to get a closer look. . . Oh Luna, we can't stay here! What do we do?!
Lustre had frozen for a few seconds. "I-I DON'T KNOW!"
She pushed through the now open gate, shining the light as she began to run.
"Azure!" She called out.
"HELP!" His voice rang out from the dark. "SOMEPONY, PLEASE!!!"
Yea... They seem to connect...
*Seeing that it is now to dark for his liking, he blows out a puff of fire to light the way a bit, if it helps.*
"The best thing to do is remain calm, we needn't allow for fear to resonate from us," He says, attempting to calm Pink. He waits for a bit, to allow her to calm down a bit, before continuing.
"Now, where did the creature go? Did you see anything that may help us find both it and the mare in question?" He inquires.
Dusk continues to run after the thing that took Honey. She knows that something VERY bad could happen to her, but she doesn't care. She pulls a party popper out of her cloak.
'This should slow it down for a minute or two!' she thought. She chucked it and it landed right in front of the thing.
The stallion snapped out of his fear after he saw Lustre run. He tried to keep up with her but his fear slowed him down.
Pink Cloud looked at him as if he said something ridiculous. As she threw her hoofs in the air she said,
Pink Cloud: I don't know! It moved so fast! And others are already chasin' after. . . Whatever that thin' was! It wouldn't do ANYONE good if we went after it. They need someone to like, find help and actually survive!
The mare shuffled across the room toward a window. As she peaked outside she said,
Pink Cloud: I didn't see a phone here. . . Maybe there is like, somethin' out there we could us. I doubt who ever built this place is the only buildin' out here. . .
"We could head to the cabin that our dear friend informed us of," He suggests.
"Wait, you hear that...?" Illusion suddenly said, stopping right in his tracks. He heard something... something that sounded oddly like... Azure? Screaming?
Hold on... Yes, that definitely was screaming! "Azure?! Lustre?! Oh, horseapples...!" The unicorn swore to himself before he took off running ahead of Relic.
*Relic runs after Illusion starts running, somewhat lighting the way*
What did they get themselves into..? And Horseapples..?
Lustre kept running, but Azure was nowhere in sight. Worse still, they had entered a cave system past the gate; which meant there were multiple paths.
Azure was still shouting as Lustre skidded to a halt before a split in the caves.
The creature that Sketch was fighting was clearly getting fed up with her. Hiding again, it resorted to actually throwing Honey at her.
"I don't know! And it's a pony thing, no time to explain when that guy's screamin' his head off!" Illusion yelled back, his pace quickening with the faint lighting.
"AZURE! LUSTRE! C'MON, SOMEPONY ANSWER ME!" He then shouted ahead into the darkness.
"Where did you go?" said Dusk. She was kind of getting fed up with this thing right here.
Latticino stopped next to Lustre. He ran his hoof through his mane as he examined the split in the path. The stallion took a few deep breaths to help call him down before talking to Lustre. With a frown he said,
Latticino: Great. . . This is unbelievable. Why is there a cave system down here? . . . . Well, this is your house so you pick which path we take. . .
Pink Cloud thought about what he said for a bit. She stepped away from the window and took a deep breath. As she turned toward the door she said,
Pink Cloud: Yeah. . . Yeah, maybe there is sonethin' useful there . . . A'ight, let's hurry up. I don't want to be here when that thin' comes back!
Pink Cloud opened the door and swallowed hard. She froze in fear for a bit but she let out a sigh to calm her down. The mare walked through the door and waited on the porch for the stallion to join her.
"Um...t-this way!" She pointed down the left path, before taking off again.
Sketch's eyes widened in surprise as Honey's unconscious body flew at her, and both tumbled to the ground.
It made a loud noise, somewhere between a roar and a hiss, before running away, deep into the forest, still using all the cover it could.
He soon joined the mare on the porch, after grabbing a nearby map.
"Apologies for the delay my dear, had to grab a map for us," He says to her.
Dusk looks over at Sketch.
"You okay?" she asked.
Latticino ran but he didn't try to keep up with the mare; he was too focus on his surroundings. His run turned into a slow jog as he was lost in his thoughts. He was very scare and concerned about both Lustre's and his own safety. Latticino wanted to suggest to head back but he knew the mare wouldn't agree, so he continued his light job through the cave.
Pink Cloud: Whatever, lets just hurry up already. I want this nightmare to be over.
The mare said as she examined the forest. She didn't know which direction to head, so she slowly walked off the porch in hopes the stallion would take the lead.
"Yeah, I think so," Sketch replied as she picked herself up and dusted herself off. "I'm glad that that...thing decided to give it up, though I'm not sure why."
She moved to Honey's unconscious form and nodded at Dusk.
" Can you help me bring her back to the mansion?"
Dusk picked up Honey on her back and started carrying her.
"I got her by myself." she said.
Following the mare for a moment, he takes stride next to her, instead of in front. Checking the map, he maps out a mental picture of where to leave to if need be, and the general direction and path. He proceeds to guide them both towards the place, but given the fairly long walk, it opens up a window for conversation.
As they ran, Lustre heard something terrible:
Azure's voice was getting quieter and quieter.
They had taken the wrong path.
And not only that, with the amount of cave paths and turns she had passed, there was almost no way to tell which way they came from.
They were lost, and Azure was still being dragged away.
Lustre slowed, and began looking aound madly, trying to find out where to go now.
Before long, the pair had soon come across a split path. "Which way, which way...?!" Illusion had asked himself desperately, barely even registering the fact that they were now in what appeared to be a cave system. No prank of Lustre's would have taken Azure to such a dangerous place...
With the screaming growing quieter, he had to hurry up or risk losing Azure."I... Oh, I don't know...! Right! Go right!" The unicorn told his dragon-pony companion, before rushing off to the right-most path, praying to Mother Mare that he'd made the right call.

Dusk picked up Honey on her back and started carrying her.
"I got her by myself." she said.
"Um...okay," Sketch said in surprise. Giving the other mare a look, she proceeded to lead them back to the mansion.
(( lol ))
*Relic makes no argument and continues to run behind Illusion. Right call or not, they should be close to them... Suddenly, he can hear footsteps coming from behind him and Illusion. It something chasing them, or running with them? He can't be sure, but he has this feeling that the uncomfortable feeling is what's after them. He turns around slightly and to his bewilderment their is nothing....
.... Relic now runs in front of Illusion. *
Latticino jogged up to Lustre before slowly stopping. He let out a sigh as he examined the surrounding area. As he scratch his chin he said,
Latticino: We can't be lost. Luna, why is this even here. . .
. . .
Lustre, you need to calm down. Just take a few deep breaths to help calm the nerves
The stallion forced a smile but it fell back to a frown as he examined the paths that were ahead. He wasn't sure which one to take so he tried to think of what to do next.
Pink Cloud let out a yawn as she followed the bat pony. She would look around at the forest and would stop if she saw something interesting. After a while she got bored and edgy. As she let out a frustrated sigh she said,
Pink Cloud: How far is this cabin?! Whoever thought of buildin' somethin' out here must have been crazy. . .
Lustre did so, before letting out a huge sigh.
"Ok...w-wait, do you feel that?"
There was more wind blowing through the caves.
"An exit..." Lustre said quietly. "...Latti, follow the wind, and head back to the lodge. I'm going by myself."
She began walking, before quickly turning around.
"And I'm NOT taking no for an answer!"
She then ran off, into the dark.
"HOLD ON, AZURE!" She shouted, fading from view.
"hmm hmm hmm." hummed Dusk. She was so calm about what just happened she still carried Honey on her back.
Much to Illusion's dismay, he found that the screaming he had been hearing had all but faded away, either moving too fast for him to keep up, or having taken a path that he hadn't.
The result? Well, being hopelessly lost, for one! "He's gone... Darn it all to Tartarus, he's gone!" The unicorn swore to himself as he began looking around, trying to decide where they were going to go from there. And unlike the other group that was lost, they didn't seem to have any breeze to help them find a way out.
"Now where do we go...?"
*Relic looks around to try and find a hole or at least something that would let them continue. Theirs only one other choice...*
Maybe we should go back. Maybe their on the other side of the cabin, or probably at the other cabin deep in the woods...
*He walks backwards into the darkness once again until---*
Illusion? Illusion..! (trying to yell)
["There" and "they're". I'm so sorry, Glass, but in this case, it physically hurts me to see those. :'(]
"I doubt it, but what other choice do we have? They're long gone... Let's just hope there's an easy way outta here."
Illusion turned, trying to see if he could remember the path back. That is, until he heard the yelling. And then there was the fact that he couldn't see the dragon pony anywhere.
"Relic...? Relic?! Where have you gone?!" The unicorn yelled out, walking quickly yet cautiously in the direction Relic had yelled from.
(( lol sorry! I get lazy sometimes. lol ))
*Relic whips up a small ball of fire, and see's Illusion coming to him*
Umm... This might sound a little crazy, but what happens if we were running, but haven't gone anywhere..?
*He points to the basement door... Exactly where they started...*
[Yeah, I know that feeling...]
At first, Illusion sighed with relief, but when he heard what Relic had to say... "W-what do you mean, 'haven't gone anywhere'...?"
The unicorn asked in a pitch a bit higher than normal, twitching eyes opening to reveal green irises... and the fact that he had gone completely wall-eyed, with a grin on his face as his sanity visibly drained at the sight of the door.
Not a pleasant experience or a pretty sight. ovO
*Relic opens the door*
At least it's not locked. If you want, we can check the other way...
*Relic stops talking and glances at the scenery of the basement. Walking, the uncomfortable feeling gets bigger as he now starts to panic a little when he realizes that it feels... Different.*
Illusion... Does this seem a little different to you? Even just slightly..?
When Relic had asked him if anything was different, Illusion shook his head, as if to get the crazy out of his head.
Upon recovering, he looked around, an eyebrow raised as he began to spot the little details. "Basement's gotten a lot dustier since we last saw it... I don't think we're in the same place. Either we've found the other cabin, or somepony's trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Heh, can't pull it over mine when doing so to others is pretty much my job...!"
And I don't here anybody either. Let's go up
*They go upstairs. And yes, they are in the other cabin :3 *
(bump, just waiting for you,
@FakeSmile )
[Got so used to the inactivity that I'd forgotten I should've been posting something. My bad.]
"But what about...? I... Oh, alright..." Illusion had eventually said, following the dragon pony up the stairs, but not without a glance behind him, towards the tunnel system.
He didn't really like the idea of just walking away from whatever had just happened in there...
(Same)
Dusk walks up to the house and opens the back door they ran through.
Latticino was about to object but the mare was long gone. As he looked down the windy hall he let out a sigh. He examined the cave with a worried frown. Splitting up was by far the worse idea, but his reasoning skills aren't the best. The stallion took a deep breath as he mentally prepared himself. As he started to make his way through the cave he said out loud to himself,
Latticino: This is going to be a long night. . .

Pink Cloud let out a yawn as she followed the bat pony. She would look around at the forest and would stop if she saw something interesting. After a while she got bored and edgy. As she let out a frustrated sigh she said,
Pink Cloud: How far is this cabin?! Whoever thought of buildin' somethin' out here must have been crazy. . .
"It shouldn't be too far, but I don't really have much of a scale on this map," He explains. He decides to make some small talk, asking: "So how did you meet our host?"
As Pink and Lunar walked, a pair of well hidden eyes spied them from far off the side of the path.
Pink wasn't really up for conversation but it was pointless being rude. As she let out a sigh she said,
Pink Cloud: I met her through Latti. I got a message from him sayin' one his pals needed some sleep therapy. After her therapy we kept in touch. She is a more recent friend but I think her and Latti go back.
The mare stopped to rub her eyes; she wasn't feeling good and needed a breather. As she let out a yawn she said,
Pink Cloud: So as long as you are makin' small talk, you want to explain that eye of yours?
"Need to stop for a bit?" He asks, no sarcasm in his voice.
"We could stop and I could tell you about the eye, or we could continue and I'll do the same, up to you," He continues.
Pink Cloud took a seat against a nearby tree. As she exhale she said,
Pink Cloud: Yeah, whatever. Just. . . Give me a few minutes.
The mare rested her check on her puffy mane. She would let out a few yawns every once in a while as she took her break.
Lunar takes a seat nearby, on another open spot, and sighs as well in relaxation. He chuckles at how cute Pink looked, but shook his head and composed himself again.
"So, regarding the eye, I'm part of the Lunar Guard, and there was a big battle a while ago, you may remember it as the Battle of Starlit Crossing. We were fighting some rogue griffins, alongside some of their allies from the varying pony races. One of the griffins, as we were battling eachother, they..well, I assume you can piece together the rest," He explains.
The pair of eyes was listening intently to the conversation.
Pink Cloud was out of it but she nodded to make it appear like she was paying attention. She didn't catch bits and pieces of the story but only the part about the name of the war and the griffon.
Pink Cloud: Interestin'. Very interestin'. I had a course in College 'bout the wars. . . Very interestin'.
"Do you want me to keep watch while you catch some sleep? You could also ride on my back and I could carry you the rest of the way to the cabin," He asks, concerned she'll be too tired to continue.
(
@Naura So what is happening with Honey now?)
((Still unconcious, won't spoil more than that ;)
Feel free to try to wake her up though))
(Gladly ovO)
Dusk sets Honey down on a couch and smacks her across the face.
'That should wake her up.' thought Dusk.
The mare glanced over at the pony before looking forward. In a monotone voice she said,
Pink Cloud: I haven't slept in five days. I'm havin' an insomnia episode. So as easy as you think it is. . .
The mare stood up and started to rub her eyes again. As she let out a yawn she continued,
Pink Cloud: I can't. Let's get this stupid thin' over with.
*I assume that means she wants the be carried? I apologize, just confused.
((She doesn't. Sorry, I should have made that more cleared. ))
*Perfectly fine.
"Just let me know if you need me to help you in some way," He says, as he starts to guide her along the path again.
Honey doesn't wake up.
"Well then." said Dusk.
*Relic and Illusion appear in the living room. Average table and chairs, kitchen, and sofa seem normal.*
Lustre? Azure..? *Calls quietly*
Pink Cloud blew at a loose strand of mane; she didn't appreciate his kind gesture. She walked along the path at her usually pace. The mare had a uneasy feeling as the duo continued down the path. She wasn't sure if she was being paranoid but she felt like some one was following them. The mare shrugged it off but she picked up the pace.
Noticing her discomfort and her increase of pace, he asks: "What's wrong?"
Pink Cloud shrugged as she followed next to Lunar. She looked around for a few minutes before returning her gaze forward. The mare was starting to get impatient.
Pink Cloud: Oh My Luna, are we almost there?! I bet Latti, Lustre And that other pony are already back! Oh Luna, what if that thin' attacks Latti?! Uuuugh, and my luggage is still in that stupid cabin!
Latticino continued to make his way down the cave. It was getting pretty dark so he stopped to find some source of light. He noticed an abandoned lantern with a few matches next to it. A small smile formed across his face as he took a match to lit the lantern. He picked up the lantern and stuck the other matches under his head band. Seeing the cave didn't help his nerves but at least he was getting closer to the exit.
"I believe that the cabin is right up ahead," He states, pointing to a tiny wooden cabin, that looks recently fixed up, some leftover supplies outside it.
"I could always head back and check, then get your luggage and bring it back to here," He continues.
Pink Cloud: I can see the cabin from here. Why would we go back? Look, let's just see what we can fin . . .
The mare stopped in her tracks. A thought finally surfaced from her mind. A large smirk formed across her face that followed with a laugh. As she shook her head she said,
Pink Cloud: Look at us! Out here in the forest. . . I bet this is just a dumb prank! Ye. . . Has to be! Ah Ha Ha Ha! She must be gettin' a kick out of this! Wow, we must look like idiots!
The lack of sleep was finally getting to the mare. She was just softly laughing as she headed toward the cabin.
Lunar recognizes this behavior from a few of us fellow squad members, and knows she must really be tired then.
"Let's get you inside so you can rest, then we'll talk more in a moment or so," He replies.
His comment only made her angry but she didn't feel like explaining her insomnia episode. She just entered the cabin and started to examine the place.
(er, sorry for the delay X3)
"What are you doing!?" Sketch asked Dusk in a shocked tone.
"Trying to wake her up. And if my backhoof didn't work I don't think anything besides water will work." said Dusk.

His comment only made her angry but she didn't feel like explaining her insomnia episode. She just entered the cabin and started to examine the place.
"I know about your insomnia episode, by the way, I'm just saying resting in general," He says, noticing more hostility.
He examines the place as well, and finds it pretty cozy. He states: "I think I could live in this little place."
"I don't think they're here, pal..." Illusion had said, looking around. However, judging by the fact his ears were twitching...
He quickly made a shushing motion at Relic. "Hear something. Not sure who or what. Keep it down..."
Was it one of the other ponies? An animal? Or was it just his imagination he was hearing...? He didn't want to take any chances until he knew.
I hear something to.. But I can't tell what...
*He stops walking to look around to try and find the direction where the sound is coming from.*
The mare wondered around the cabin; she wasn't looking for anything since she no longer believed they were in danger. She saw a bedroom out of the corner of her eye and started to walk toward it.
Lunar, deciding Pink probably didn't care any for his attempts to talk, lies down on a couch, and closes his eyes.
Illusion held up a hoof as soon as he thought he saw Relic walking. "Something's moving..." He whispered.
His eyes, however, turned to the sofa. Something was there, only he couldn't quite see it...
[Well, no point in hiding it. Lunar and Pink are in another cabin (I think), and Relic and me are in another cabin... I think y'all know what I'm getting at. If I'm thinking nonsense, please tell me now before I embarrass myself further. X3]
*We're at that separate Cabin that the hostess mentioned at the start(I forget her name).
[Lustre, and the guest cabin, to be specific. The more I'm poking around in the older posts, the more I'm sure that we ended up in the same place as each other without noticing, seeing as Me and Glass seem to have ended up there, too. x3]
*I never payed attention xD. If we ended up in the same place, hey, let's roll with it.
((I thought everybody was at the other cabin that me and Illusion are in. I was kinda hinting it too though. X3 ))
[Well, this could've been pretty awkward. Glad we seem to have got it cleared up, though. Alright, let's go. ^-^]
With a silence one would be surprised a pony could manage with their hooves, Illusion crept through the shadows, and soon came up right behind the sofa.
He made another shushing motion to Relic before pointing at the couch, a signal that something or someone was sleeping there, something that he didn't dare check for fear of waking it.
He then gripped the underside of the sofa with both his hooves and magic. The intent was obvious; flip the whole thing over and catch the creature by surprise.
There wasn't any real downsides to this, he had thought.
Due to the fact he was still awake, and felt a slight motion of his resting spot, he opens his eyes and sees a whiff of magic being used.
"I can only assume you're not Pink, so who are you?" He inquires.
"ACK!" Illusion suddenly squawked, and with a strength he didn't quite know he had, immediately up-ended the entire sofa in his surprise, before scrambling away.
*I know I may sound like an idiot here, but I have no idea what that means. I assume it means it flipped, so I'll roll with that.
Trying to get out of the very painful projected circumstances, Lunar ends up being hit by the crashing couch anyway, and let's out an "Oof!", the pain causing dizziness and the like.
[Turning something upside down. So pretty much, yeah. Just trying to be fancy, here. x3]
"Wait, you're...?" Illusion had started to say, and when the it finally clicked, he couldn't help but grin.
"Well... Looks like little Illusion knocked you flat on your rear." His grin faded somewhat, though, with a nervous chuckle. "But seriously now, you alright? I didn't hurt ya, did I?"
"I've gotten hurt worse in my time, but jeez, you freak out way too easily. If I had a comrade like you in my squadron, I think I would've lost more than an eye," He says, chuckling, as he pushes the couch off.
*Relic, even with his calm demeanor, tries not to bust out laughing at what Illusion had done.*
(looking at Lunar)Umm... How did you even get here so fast..?
"Well pardon me for being a bit on edge after we ended up going through a dark and spooky cave system to get here." Illusion had said, making a motion as if rolling his eyes. "Oh, did I mention there's a cave system right under us?"
He then turned to Relic. "Come to think of it, how long were we really down there for?"
"A cave system? We just trotted through the forest," He replies.
I do wonder, it seems to be nighttime ((daytime maybe idk))... But what about the others? Where's Lustre and and Azure, and everyone else?
"I assume back at the main building," He states.
"Really? I could've sworn I heard Azure back down in those caves..." Illusion had said, giving a look towards the basement door. "...Screaming."
The eyes that were watching Lunar and Pink were now at the door. It had done something to it.
(Also, I need to think of a way to get Azure out. I wasn't able to post when Illusion and Relic began to follow the path.)

"Trying to wake her up. And if my backhoof didn't work I don't think anything besides water will work." said Dusk.
Sketch facehooved.
"I'll get a cup of water," she said. She walked to the kitchen to fill one up.
"Yeah you do that." said Dusk. She looked at the growing mark on the side of Honeys face.
'Oops did I do that?' she chuckled to herself.
Pink walked out of the bed room with small frown. While she was in the bedroom she found a pastel green coat and head band to match it. Beside those two items, she didn't find anything interesting. When she enter the living room she notice the two new stallions. Pink Cloud stared at them for a while before saying,
Pink Cloud: I'm headin' back. Y'all have fun in this poopy cabin
The mare then started to make her way toward the door.
The door was jammed from outside. If one we're outside, they'd see it was covered in a giant, green web.
"I wonder where everypony is?" Sketch thought aloud as she filled a cup of water. She brought it over to Honey and spilled it on her face.
'I hope this works.'
The mare tried to open the door but to her surprised it wouldn't budge. She took a few minutes forcing her body weight on the door to see if it would open. After one good push, she stood there with an unimpressed expression. She turned and looked at the trio of stallions. Then she looked back at the door. Then back at the trio. Then at the fire picker. Then back at the door. She then used the fire picker to break the window and processed to jump through it. As she landed ungracefully on the ground she looked at the door to see what was the deal. A disgusted look came across her face as she saw the green web. She made her way toward the web and started to examine it. As she poked it with her hoof her disgusted expression turned into a "I think I'm gonna be sick" expression.
"That should work!" said Dusk.
Honey flew up and shook her head wildly so water splashed on everything in the room.
"EW EW EW EW EW EW EW!"
Dusk held up her cloak and when the water was all gone she lowered it.
"You feel okay now?" she asked. The mark from the backhoof was pulsing on her face.
"Oi, watch your language." Illusion chided, watching as Pink tried the door with no success. "What are you... Hey, wait, DON'T!" He then yelled out, too late to stop the window from being broken. "Don't you have any respect for other people's property?!"
Making a noise that was somewhere between a sigh and a groan, Illusion crawled out the window after her. He, too, would like to know what was wrong with the door.
"Uh, guys...?" The unicorn then called out when he saw the door and the shape it was in. "Y'might wanna come out here and take a look at this...!"
Noticing the breaking of the window, and facehooving, he travels out the window and sees it as well.
"Huh, strange blockade. I wonder where that came from," He states, questioningly.
Pink Cloud: Its really weird and feels like. . . slime mixed with cob webs.
The mare continued to poke at it; not sure what to make out of it and she was bored.
"I wouldn't really recommend touching it so much, we don't know what it is," Lunar warns.
"But, uh... why's it here in the first place?" Illusion asked, concerned. "This can't have been long ago, otherwise you guys wouldn't have gotten in... So..."
He turned around at that point, as if expecting to see something coming up behind them. "Either Lustre's trying to go all out for a laugh, or it's something else..."
(I'm thinking of making Azure show up through the trap door. Would that be ok?)
((I like the whole green web thing. You can have Pink get kidnap and be dragged to whatever those things take them. But this is just my idea, you do as you please. :33 ))
(I mean I want to have Azure show up to tell everyone where to go to get safe.)
((OOOOOOOh. A'ight, I am assumin' the trio
and Pink are headin' back soon. So you
can have him pop out of the trees and join
the gang back to the cabin. ))
(Ok)
Suddenly, inside the cabin, the trapdoor Illusion and Relic came through began to rattle; somepony was banging it.
"H-H-Hello...Please..."
((Gosh darnit, I fell asleep >.<))
Honey had just settled down on the couch before she fell onto her back and held her hooves close to her face.
"Ouch, why did mah book hit this hard?" She groaned.
Sketch shrugged. "Maybe you shouldn't throw your books around willy nilly."
She stared at Sketch and started to blush again.
"Heh, Ah'm sorry, Ah just got really excited."
Sketch sighed.
"It happens to all of us," she said.
"Glad she doesn't realize that I smacked her." whispered Dusk to Sketch.
Pink Cloud's ears perked at the cry. She wasn't sure if her mind is playing tricks on her or it was real. The mare stopped poking the web for a moment and looked around for the source of the cry.
Pink Cloud: Weird. . . I thought I heard somethin'. Anyway, I'm headin' back. I'll let the others know y'all here.
The mare turned and started her way down the path that Lunar and her took. She let out a small yawn but was determined to make back to her luggage.
After wondering through the cave system, Latticino could feel the breeze getting closer and closer. A small smile of relief formed across his face; this will be all over soon. He couldn't help but worry about Azure and Lustre; he felt a bit guilty for leaving Lustre. Soon he came across a fork in the cave. He couldn't tell which one was the source of the breeze, so he took this time to take a small break and figure out what to do next.
"Real weird, though..." Illusion had muttered to himself, taking a close look at the odd slime material. "Where could she have gotten something like this? Could've sworn I've heard about this somewhere, though... Urgh, name's on the tip of the tongue..."
However, his ears began twitching as he too heard the odd noises.
"Something with the letter C, though... Hey, dragon colt, y'mind findin' a way to clean this stuff off? I'm just gonna see what that noise was."
And with that, the unicorn leaped climbed back in through the broken window. "And, uh, find something to replace that with, maybe?"
His ears still a'twitching, he looked about, looking for the source of the rattling. "It's not locked, you know..." He said aloud upon discovering it was the basement entrance.
Though he was pretty sure by now something or somepony was behind it, he was a little hesitant to open the door himself.
What if it was one of those creatures whose name he couldn't quite recall?

"Glad she doesn't realize that I smacked her." whispered Dusk to Sketch.
Sketch subtly nodded.
"So," she turned to face Honey, "Everypony is gone, and I have no clue where they could be."
"Wait what? Foh how long was Ah gone?" She questioned and looked around the room just to make sure they were speaking the truth.
The voice called from the trapdoor again.
"Help...s-somepony, please..."
((sorry for not replying. X3 ))
It sounds the pony is either in pain or freaked out...
*Turning back to the slime, he uses his fire breath to try and see if it'll melt or go away somehow...*
"You were out for about 1 hour". said Dusk. (Hope this is a good amount of time.)
"Right..." Illusion said to himself, before gripping the handle of the trapdoor with his magic.
This feels like a really bad idea, somehow... Hm... Couldn't hurt to make sure...
"Who's down there? Weird stuff's been happening, and I'm not openin' this door 'til I know it's safe to do so!"
"A-an hour? Why didn't ya wake me up earlier?" She asked in confusion. She stood up, and picked up the book she had threwn into the air earlier, and put it down her bag.
"Well, what are we gonna do now?"

The web weakend slightly, not anywhere near enough to break, but just enought so it could bend.
"I...Illusion...? It's Azure...please open up..."
Back at the main cabin, there was a knock on the door.
"A-Azure...? Oh jeez, what happened?! You sound like, like... like you've just been chased by an Ursa or somethin'!"
Illusion's magical grip tightened on the door, and he seemed to have made to open it... but hesitated.
Oh, don't be like this...! He needs help, NOW! He firmly told himself, before throwing the door open.
"C'mon, c'mon, I don't know if anything's behind you or not! Get in quick so I can shut the door!"
Lunar, who has been silently onlooking during this time, suddenly goes onto the trapdoor to keep it closed.
"Are you insane? You trust the voice, with all that's going on, after a tiny exchange?" He asks him.
"We didn't wake you up because you were passed out." replied Dusk. She walked over to Honey.
"You do realize that there is a red mark on your face right?" she said.
"Please, open it...we gotta get out of here..."
There was another knock on the door.

"Please, open it...we gotta get out of here..."
There was another knock on the door.
((I think Illusion opened the door already))
*I blocked him opening it.
(Lunar shut it again before he could get through)
((oh oops lol ))
"Wh-what? Where?! Can Ah get a mirror?" She tried to feel on the spot where the book had hit her.
'That's not from the book, glad she doesn't realize it.' Dusk thought.
"Here's a mirror." she said. She pulled a pocket mirror out of her cloak.
"Were YOU the one who heard him screaming down there? Didn't think so."
Frowning, Illusion gripped the trapdoor handle once more with his magic. "Do you really wanna take that risk, that it might really be Azure down there?"
"Oh GOSH!" Honey exclaimed when she saw herself in the mirror.
"H-h-how?" She stared into the mirror with frown.
((I'll be gone tomorrow, hope it doesn't become too inconvinient))
(It should be fine after all I'm gone for 7 hours every weekday.)
"Do you really want to take the risk that it's not him?" He counters.
"I've lost too many good stallions to situations of similarity," He continues.
"Even if it was some kind of doppelganger imitating him, do you really think it could handle three ponies at once? I'd say it's worth the risk."
"Let's see, giant web of green goop, continuous strange occurrences, including, but not limited to, the random dragging off of ponies to who-knows-where, etc., to nothing being able to be done by said ponies or those around? Yeah, I'm sure any creature around her could take on a group of our size," He reasons, before sighing.
"If you wish to open it and risk it, that's on you. Our safety rests on your decision, I won't be part of it," He continues, trotting out of the area.
Sketch said nothing, shooting Dusk a glare where Honey couldn't see.
Dusk shrugs back at Sketch with a small smile on her face like this X3.
"Wait a second, this ain't where tha book hit me..." Honey said with a slighty confused glare into the mirror.
"Wait, what? Somepony got dragged away that wasn't Azure...?" Illusion had asked, only to then realize Lunar had trotted off elsewhere. "Well, that's a healthy attitude...!"
Shaking his head, he turned back to the trapdoor, only to find that he really couldn't bring himself to do it...
This is stupid! Why does he have to force these decisions on me?! It's not like I'm the one who... locked... wait.
Last he remembered, the door wasn't locked, and he was quite sure he mentioned it earlier...
What was stopping Azure from opening it himself? He couldn't be that badly hurt, could he?
Regardless, the unicorn found himself backing away.
"Relic? See if you can find an axe or something. I have a real bad feeling about this..."
"Um what is it then?" said Dusk. She needed to play this through without telling Honey what happened.
"Hello...?" Azure voice called out again. "Please, open it...g-get me out of here..."
"Wait..." Honey suddenly said with a suspicions tone.
"This wouldn't make sense, unless..." She mumbled quietly.
"Starting to see what I mean?" He inquires.
Suddenly, the door rattled; Azure had tried to ram it up.
"Please..." He was sobbing, as he rammed again.
*Relic searches for an axe. He looks back at the door, not really phased by the sobbing and stuff, he was just wondering... They have been through some weird stuff today, and they won't open the door? What happens if it was Azure and Lustre? What happens if it wasn't..? He would take the risk, but the others..? He finds an old rusty axe that looks like it'll fall apart any minute.*
Found it... Are you thinking about opening it, or do you want me..?
((is Lustre with Azure?))
"Unless what?" asked Dusk. She was getting worried about how this would go down.
(No, it's just Azure.)
"Let me out!" He rammed the door again, getting more desperate. "Please, just do it! That thing's probably still down here!"
"Just stay close. If it turns out it's not Azure or friendly at all, that's what the axe is for. Preparing for the worst."
Illusion had said, taking cover around a corner as his horn began to glow again, along with the trapdoor handle.
"I'm opening it, so get ready... Three... Two... One...!"
And immediately, the door was flung open.
Azure was planning another ram as the door opened. He went flying out into the open.
"Ow..." He looked a total mess.
"Oh ponyfeathers," Lunar states, realizing it is indeed Azure, going to him.
"Are you alright?" He asks.
"...I fell off the couch and hit the floor, didn't I? That also explains why I am in a different position now." She confirmed for herself while patting one of her legs gently.
So it was you...
*He puts the axe down and goes to him*
Azure looked at Lunar, before gritting his teeth.
"Yeah...no thanks to you." He spat. "Why didn't you open-agh..."
He flinched from a pain in his leg.
"Sorry, pal." Illusion had said, heading right over. "Didn't know if it was really you or not. Weird things have been going on, and you could've been one of those bug shapeshifter things I've read about."

"...I fell off the couch and hit the floor, didn't I? That also explains why I am in a different position now." She confirmed for herself while patting one of her legs gently.
"Yeah! You fell and hurt yourself!" said Dusk in a slightly believable voice.
He puts on a serious expression. "I apologize, I didn't want a repeat..of Starlit Field..." He trails off, before shaking his head to clear his thoughts.
"In any case, what happened?" He inquires, closing the trapdoor.
"M-Me, Lustre, and...that other stallion...we found a way out of the house through some old...place. We reached a gate, and I was the only one who could fit through a hole, and..."
He was starting to breath faster, but slowed himself.
"S-Something...dragged me to this...p-place...there was green stuff everywhere."
He weakly lifted his hurt leg, showing the same silk from the door stuck to his leg.
"I woke up with my leg in it..."
"Green stuff..." And just like that, Illusion was starting to piece things together, and promptly went ahead and closed the bolt on the trapdoor.
"I think... I think we really do have a bug infestation. Changelings. And you stumbled right into a hive, from the sounds of it. Which means... Oh, horse-apples...! Relic, grab your axe, we need to leave. Azure, can you still stand at all?"
"T-The Tree!" Azure shouted, thinking they were about to run. "T-The Tree of Harmony? W-We should go there...wait, where are those three other mares?"
(There was a knock on the door of the cabin where Honey and the others were.)
@Chromastone64 (Can we be chased or walk around the house and get scared by stuff?)
(It's Lustre at the door.)
(Srry didn't see the reply until now. X3)
Dusk hears the door and instantly goes into a state of panic.
"Did you guys hear that?" she asked.
"I dunno what tree you're talkin' about, but it sounds like something that's pretty deep in the Everfree." Illusion had said.
"How about we don't? And instead work on getting everypony out of the forest altogether?"
"...No." Honey shivered, while she obviously heard. She quickly put on her saddlebags again and frowned towards the door.
Azure had forgotten about the main entrance in his panic.
"Oh...b-but what if they're expecting that?"
"Then I guess it's lose-lose, isn't it?" Illusion said with a shrug.
"The only thing we can hope for is that they're not expecting us to run for it so soon, but we do have one other option... We get out of here, head back to the main building, get the others, assemble some weaponry or make our own, fight our way through a bunch of changelings, head to the nearest town, report the hive to the guards, go home, have a nice cup of tea, and then wait for them to deal with the problem."
He then gave another little shrug. "Or, y'know... We could run right into the forest and take our chances with the Chimeras, hydras, and snake-chickens. Oh my."
"You do know that gate we came through it the only entrance AND exit, right? And if that thing's expecting us..."
"Who do you think that is?" asked Dusk. She knew that if it was that thing than she and Honey combined even with their earth pony strength couldn't take it on.
"You think it could be that...thing?" Sketch asked Dusk.
"I doubt that it has the manners to knock." said Dusk.
There were two more knocks. "Hello?!" Called Lustre.
"That sound like one of the ponies from earlier," Sketch said with relief. She moved to open the door.
"Okay that is definitely Lustre." said Dusk.
"Yeah, tha's Lustre, but what do ya mean with "tha' thing"?" Honey asked and gave the two mares an unsure glance before carefully stepping over to the door and gently opening it with one of her wings.
"Well um... when you got knocked out... And I know that you won't believe us. You got taken by some "thing". she said. She looked at Honey.
Lustre stepped in the house, clearly agitated.
"Dusk? Honey, Sketch? Oh, thank goodness you're okay! Listen, we need to get out of here right now!"
Honeys jaw dropped when Dusk finished. She was just about to ask about more, but Lustre interuppted them. She shot them a glare and then turned her head towards Lustre.
"Why are we in such a hurry?" Honey asked, hoping the answer to be more info about that "thing".
*Sorry for not replying recently, what's currently going on?
(The stallion's group were wondering where to go, and the mare have just met Lustre again.)
"So, what're we planning?" Lunar inquires, walking into the discussion.
"I s-said the Tree..." Azure whimpered. "We gotta get to it..."
(So now what do we do?)
(Leave for the tree?)
((Honey is still waiting for somepony to explain everything to her, she wouldn't move even if you tried to push her out X3))
"Look, there's these...THINGS crawling around here, and they're headed for this lodge! We need to get to the mines!" Lustre explained.
"Hmph." Honey frowned and went up to Lustre.
"Fine, we'll go with you, but you'll have to explain more while we leave!" She spat and placed her wing on Lustre's back.
"Well where are all of the others, ponies I mean?" Dusk replied. She had already seen how fast these things move.
"I don't know! Well, actually, Azure's already in the mines, along with Latti, I think. The others...I don't know..."
"Do we have to do bring our things with us?" Sketch asked worriedly.
"It'd probably be good we consider it as a leave of no return, so we probably should take whatever we brought," He explains to Sketch.
To Lustre, he asks: "Do you think the forest path or the caves would yield the best result?"
(Wasn't Lunar with Illusion, Pink, and Azure in the guest cabin? Lustre's at the main lodge.)
(Oh. Whoops, I thought we were together. Ignore my post then.)
(But, I do recommend everyone go through the forest.)
((I feel like everyone right now is waiting for another person to reply, but that person is waiting for someone else to reply and everything just ends up in a infinite loop of no one posting. Oh well, I'll see what I can do x3))
"Do they have time?" Honey asked Lustre, the pegasi being lucky to already carry her saddlebags herself.
"What do you mean?" Lustre asked.
"I personally think we should go to the safest place possible and then fortify it." said Dusk.
"Time to go get their stuff? Or are the "things" too dangerous?" She explained and on the word "things" she almost growled. She felt like the others were pulling a trick on her by not explaining as much as she would've done.

((A bit quiet here eh?))
"I don't know..." Lustre said. "A-Anyway, we'd better get moving soon. Tell me when you're ready."
"Ah'm ready, what 'bout the rest of you?" She looks over at Dusk and Sketch.
"I'm ready!" said Dusk.
"So am I," Sketch added. She hadn't even unpacked yet, so there would be no delay in leaving.
Lustre nodded, before stepping outside. "Follow me!" She began to gallop down the path.
Honey started to flap her wings and buzzed after Lustre, giving the other mares an unsure glare.
Sketch quickly retrieved her suitcase and book, and galloped after them.
Lustre started to veer off the beaten path, into the vegetation.
Dusk Ran after them and also went off into the vegetation.
"How far away are the mines?" Honey asked as she buzzed into the green.
"Not that far!" Lustre called back. "Just keep running!"
Slightly behind Sketch, the bushes began to rustle.
(the plot thickens)
Sketch dashed into vegetation after the ponies, unaware of the rustling bushes behind her.
Honey was way too busy concetrating on holding herself in the air to notice the rustling bushes. She however didn't want to tire out her wings, so she went over to what she was best at, gliding from branch to branch.
She quickly grabbed a branch above her head and yanked herself up on it, where she began gliding above Lustre, looking for another tree to jump from.
Dusk climbed a few trees and walked on the sturdy limbs and walked down to the next branch on the other trees. She looks at Honey.
"So you don't remember anything after you being knocked out?" she asked.
"Ah have no memory of it, no." She panted as she slid down on a branch and quickly glanced at Dusk before she started to jump again.
Soon they were at the mine entrance. Lustre waved them over, before running inside. "Come on!"
Sketch ran as fast as she could to the mine.
Dusk jumps off of the trees and brushes herself off. She then follows Sketch into the cave.
Honey buzzed down carefully and followed the group into the mysterious mine.
