All of the Alternate Timelines were really creative! I remember when I saw the first one, my initial thought was "Hey wait a second, shouldn't Nightmare Moon be throwing the world into eternal night by now?" and lo and behold, they actually showed that time line! (Though, technically, everyone would be DEAD, but whatever-) I was also really impressed with Zecora's explanation of how time flows in their universe, (which sorta lamp-shaded my original complaint) and it was cool to see her at the forefront of a resistance against Queen Chrysalis

I don't think I need to mention how cool Pinkie, Maud and Rainbow's designs were in the War AU haha. Speaking of the War, it was nice to see War!AJ be really understanding to Twilight's plight. It could have easily been a cop-out, but the writers found a way to make it work imo. (like keeping the Map in a place where AJ has probably been to a million times)

It was very refreshing to see Twilight actually struggle in this one. I don't think I've seen a bad guy actually get the upper hand ever since Discord was introduced. Starlight Glimmer's cunning and condescending attitude was also really entertaining! (Plus all of those smug faces, ) I also liked how the conflict between them wasn't solved with just brute force (although there was still some action involved, which I liked), but Starlight and Twilight had to actually talk it out. SG needed to be convinced that destroying a friendship wasn't going to bring her old friend back into her life.

I also liked how they showed that Starlight Glimmer actually had some valid points, like when she and Twilight had that exchange infront of the bullies and filly Fluttershy. Yes Starlight Glimmer was only being "nice" to get the upper-hand, but they had an open dialogue about bullying and debating some of the flaws in their society, which was nice. (Starlight still ended up being in the wrong, but mainly because she seems to misunderstand the whole point of cutie marks. They're not meant to show off how objectively superior some ponies are over others, they're meant to show off what makes everyone different. It's okay to have friends who are nothing like you! )

I kinda don't want SG to be a member of the mane 6 though I'm okay with them all being friends with eachother, but I just think about Sunset Shimmer and Moon Dancer and all of Twilight's friends back in Canterlot. But we'll see how it goes

Her backstory was pretty weak though. Wouldn't it make more sense for her to study magic- (which I'm guessing is her special talent) but then somepony else gets more recognition than her because they think they're "better" at magic than she is? In my opinion that would have been a more logical reason for her to be so obsessed with equality than the whole "my friend got sent away because of his cutie mark" thing. But that's just me.

Anyway it was worth the wait for me. Season 5 was sorta a drag for me so seeing this was really satisfying~

This might just be my opinion: But yes! So long as the thread is still open, I think it's okay to make edits to your post. I usually go back and re-read applications every so often just in case somebody left out important info initially and then went back and added to it

Does being a teacher count as "citable moderation experience?" Not that it really matters, as I think that being a teacher disqualifies me from "Must have good availability."

Well, when we say moderation experience, we mostly mean stuff like being familiar with mod commands, or how to carry out mod actions on a forum. There's more to it than that (like being able to make sound decisions while also following orders) but if someone already has this kind of experience under their belt, then it makes things a little easier for us. (less time towards training a noobie and more time spent doing mod things)

Then again navigating the in's and out's of the forum doesn't take that much time to learn, and if you're a teacher you're probably more than capable of doing it But availability could be a problem as well...

I say throw your hat into the ring and see what happens! If it's something you really really wanna do

Our very own Perry-sensei is currently looking for new "students" to enroll into his prestigious corgi-classroom. We at Moderation Academy take pride in cultivating a multi-talented learning environment so that we may enrich the lives of our students; and one day you too may become a lean, (but not mean!) troll-slaying machine!

I send him an email 5 days ago, but I never got something back. Did he go on vacation or something?

Sometimes it can take several weeks, if not a month to hear back from developers. I'm sure they're hard at work discussing your credentials and deciding if you should be a member of the team (Or maybe they forgot to check their e-mail? I can't speak for them honestly, but I hope this helps!)

I agree with LostSanity in that they should probably end the show by 2017 with the movie...

But knowing Hasbro, they might keep airing it for the next 5 years or so :O

Then again, it's possible that they'll end it after the pony movie and then give Equestria Girls its own spin-off since it's doing so well right now.

Since I didn't comment on the episode that aired on the 10th, I'll just share my thoughts without the spoiler tag After that, when I get to the latest episode, then I'll post using the spoiler tag.

Anyway, here it goes!

I don't really like the way the CMC's cutie marks are designed and I kinda wish Diamond Tiara had some kind of development outside of just this one episode; but instead, we had to witness her develop and have her redemption all at once. I just...why? I liked that the CMC had some kind of bully to deal with at their school, since I know my bullies never magically started to like me after x-thing happened I would complain about the pacing too, but I think everyone and their grandma mentioned that a dozen times.

But aside from that, I actually didn't mind the songs. The only song I'd really listen to over and over again is Diamond Tiara's, though. (Her VA is so talented! and the animation! Plus the lyrics were really good!) I kinda always figured that the CMC would probably get their cutie marks at the same time, (though I think it would have been more interesting- conflict wise- if they hadn't) so seeing the CMC super happy made me happy too! (And Applejack bringing up their dead parents had me like ;-; )

All in all, way better than that...other episode. (You all know the one) Hopefully this means more good things to come!

Anyway, onto the new episode:

aaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! That surprise!! I always figured it was only a matter of time before Cadence & Shining Armor became parents, but I had no idea such a bomb would be dropped on us so soon! I'm glad I stayed away from spoilers! Also poor Pinkie...I've been in a similar situation! Only for me I usually had to keep secrets to protect people rather than spoil a surprise When it comes to surprises, I'm much more like Rarity!

My only (pretty minor) knit pick is that; aside from the initial "surprise", the rest of the episode didn't really give us any twists or turns. (aside from Cadence and Shining Armor showing up early) Lately I feel like I've been complaining about the show not "surprising me" anymore, but I can't figure out if it's because I know what to expect from pony by now, or if the writers are just thinking more about deadlines than they are weaving a good story episode-by-episode. That isn't to say that the episode was written badly, I just feel a little spoiled by previous seasons. But I say that every season so I would take what I have to say with a grain of salt

It's coming for sure! But since we're just a group of volunteers, most of us still have to work or go to school or otherwise live lives outside of LoE

Before I saw this clip, I thought the song was the weakest in the film. But after seeing this..I actually really like it? I think Sunset Shimmer and Sci Twi being paralleled like that adds a whole other layer of depth! It's a shame that it got cut/shortened like it did...

I have to agree with you on the cringe comedy, it's something I've never cared for, but I can't say I felt this was "transphobic".  The judge made a point that Big Mac's gender was never the concern, and I actually really appreciated that because I was expecting the cliche ending to this whole story.  Averting my biggest complaint with this trope actually made me laugh for a few seconds.  As for transphobic...I can see where your idea comes from, but I interpreted it very differently.  I saw it as Big Mac trying hard to squeeze into a role that HE as an individual (not as a stallion) isn't meant for, for the desire of someone else, as opposed to just being himself.  I didn't see any comment on the transgender community in any part of that.

I will say this is one of my least favorite episodes, but purely because of the cringe comedy taking up too much time; the ending was just barely worth it for a first viewing, can't say I'll revisit anything but that closing again.

The way the judges reacted (toward the end, anyway) was totally fine by me. That wasn't exactly the thing that I had a problem with. It was mainly that whole "man in a dress- for comedy!" thing that I disliked.

It's 2015, and we're expected to laugh at how clownish Big Mac's make-up is, or how his voice keeps falling out of his falsetto, and how he has such an obvious adam's apple showing while he sings. And it wasn't just a one-off gag; this "joke" went on for a good- what- 15 minutes? It took up like 80% of the episode. The whole thing was for comedic effect, and cringe-comedy at that. How is that actually okay in this day and age?

It didn't exactly help that he kept getting weird looks from other ponyville citizens on top of that.  It just felt like a low blow, y'know?

The ending was sweet, but for me personally? This isn't an episode that I'll ever come back to.

That episode was garbage. -10/10, would not recommend.

Definitely my least favorite episode of all time. Usually I rewatch them to show my boyfriend, but this is an episode we're going to have to skip just because it was just that awful.

Even if it wasn't transphobic, (and it is, it most definitely is) it's 80% cringe. Remember when Spike had to sing that Anthem at the Equestria Games? Remember how cringe-wrothy that was? That's how I felt throughout the entire middle half of this episode. wow.
