Hate to break to it you guys, but MLP has always been a vessel to sell toys. Hasbro sells toys, that's what they do. Don't hate them for trying to make money.

Actually it was just Twilight's 5 friends who had changed cutiemarks because the spell switched around the Elements of Harmony. I'm not even sure what the spell was actually meant to do, maybe I'll have to watch it again.
Edit: After watching it a second time, it makes a lot more sense now. The spell was supposed to fullfill a pony's destiny through others. Since Starswirl didn't understand this had to be accomplished through friendship, it ended up switching the others destinies around instead. Harmony was not woven into the spell to make it work correctly.

We don't know for sure if that image is legit or not. No one can find a definite source for it. 
Technically pointing out somebody's race/skin color is being racist. People are still being racist because their fur colors were lightened a bit for their skin tone, or because they didn't choose real skin tones which would just cause even more problems because of people's ruined headcanons. Can't please everyone all the time.

That's actually a different pony than Dr. Hooves, although usually he has wings. He's called Cresent Pony in the Gameloft App, and apparently he's the keeper of the Wonderbolt's place.

I've put 470 hours into Skyrim so far, haha. That's from 3 characters reaching around level 50. I've done so much but there's still a lot of stuff left to do!

Well I can think of a reason. Hasbro might be worried about their integrity. They don't want something to blow out of proportion and have parents pointing figures at Hasbro and saying their are ablests and get people to boycott their stuff. I know it sounds ridiculous because that was totally unintentional, but stuff like that can happen.

Derpy is not going to be completely removed from MLP. Licensed companies are still making merch with her, but they're keeping her nameless to avoid offending people.

Enterplay is releasing a Derpy tin in March, so that's proof that she's still sticking around. It is possible we might not see her in season 4, but Hasbro is allowing licensed merch, so don't fret too much.
