Spoiler: User Entry • show

You have just been Integrated on to 'The Grid'. You can feel yourself as a bit disoriented. A being stands before you waiting for you to loose the disorientation. He looks to be a Class 10 security program, Unicorn Type, in a white body suit and blue glowing stripes with a bar code like cutie mark on his flank. After you have he says, "[glow=blue,4,600]Welcome to 'The Grid'. My name is Tron. Please identify yourself for ID Disk Creation.[/glow]"
next to you on a side table is what looks to be an ID Card.
(You just need to give a name as well as slide the one time use ID Card and your ID disk will be ready.)

As you come to you find yourself in what looks to be a holding cell of some kind. there is a Black suited Guard with red glowing stripes, A visor fitted helm covering his face and a bar code like mark on his flank. This one seams to be a Class 3 Earth Pony based basic security program. He says and a voice that seams to show no emotion what so ever, "[glow=red,4,600]State your name and function, Program. Failure to do so will result in your derezalution.[/glow]" The holding cell wall he is in front of would allow for a class 1 hacker with the hack defenses ability to brake out.
(Well this guy seams to be your by the book security program. Has average anti-viral defenses.)

The main screens all threw out the Faction Cities come to life with a sound that isn't annoying but gets everyponies attention all the same. It starts out with a Big Announcement opening. Then on it appears what seams to be an Alicorn female program. She begins to speak to everypony.
"[glow=silver,4,600]Hello Everypony and Program. This is Grid Admin Salia speaking. As you all are well aware. Today starts the first day of the 'Rule 'The Grid' Tournament'. I will be the main overseer for this tournament. The Hologram displays will show the faction's team captains and rules for the tournament. To join the tournament you just need to find and sign up with either captain. One restriction though. You can only sign up with a captain if you are a part of that faction. Faction ISO leader, Kevin Flynn, has already given the ruler ship codes for the grid over to me. I will be in charge of the grid for as long as the tournament goes on.[/glow]" says an Alicorn in a white jumpsuit with glowing gold stripes and a bar code like cutie mark covering her cutie mark. She also seams to be a class 10 user with a very high anti-viral defense.
"[glow=silver,4,600]Activation of the blank slate and leveling programs has been authorized. Also there are now safe zones for each faction all over the grid. If you happen to be defeated by any means you will be sent to one of these safe zones. The first event in this tournament is the Classical 'Light Cycle Challenge'! Talk to your faction's team captains if you wish to join or for more details about the event. During events the safe zones will be on lock down. Meaning if you are defeated, you will be stuck in the safe zone until the event is over and a winning team is decided. Also Once you sign up for the tournament, you must take part in all future events.[/glow]" she says in a way to get the programs and users of the grid excited about the upcoming tournament.
"[glow=silver,4,600]Everypony should have gotten or should be getting soon a Program Mail or P-Mail for short. In this mail may be one of a few things. One a mail from your team captain stating it is time for you to head to the area for a tournament event. Two a quest or mission that has very nice rewards from new items to upgrades and leveling codes. Plus other things. Three is a mail stating weather you have or have not been removed from future events based on actions you yourself are very well aware of. on this third one if there seams to have been an error send me a P-Mail and I will do my very best to figure out the misunderstanding and get things straitened out. For all of you users and programs that are coming onto The grid for the first time the P-Mail should be there as soon as you have either gotten your ID Disk or it has been registered.[/glow]" She continues explaining.
"[glow=silver,4,600]Now all that remains is for me to say have a fun time and remember 'Friendship is The Grid'. This is your Grid Admin Salia signing off.[/glow]" As she finishes speaking the screens that hava been playing the announcement start to show the rules and Faction's Team Captains, Tron [ISO] and Rinzler [BIOS]. (The rules are in the OOC main post.)

((This is how to activate your ID Disks or How to acquire them.))

There is a pillar like object in the room, it is right next to Tron with a comp window, a slot under it and an electric keypad under the slot. Say your name to Tron and put your one time use ID Card into the slot to receive your ID Disk.
If your ID disk is custom please also use your activation pin. ((Those who have chosen to get a custom ID Disk, create a spoiler tag with a created 4 digit pass code labeled 'Custom ID Acquisition Pass', and PM it to me. The code is yours to create. Once you have given me the code. Add to your intro post an action stating that your character puts the code into the keypad. If you got the User ability 'Data Upload' the pin is used to get a data disk to give you your ability. please follow same for Custom ID Disk acquisition.)) After this your actions are your own. have fun and play fair.

Spoiler: For Programs • show

There is an ID disk slot with keypad on the wall near the cell wall/door. place disk in slot. For Hackers if you are advanced enough for a special ability, Please also put in your access code for the ability data disk. ((PM me a 4 digit pin code. then when you get the pm saying i have received it make an action that states you have put the code in with your intro post.)) After this your actions are your own. Have fun and play fair. This goes for you hacker programs as well.
Please Hacker programs play fair. Do not try to actively claim another player's program character's ability unless they have a low to average anti-viral defense. Then only if you happen to be there when they are being derezzed to a safe zone. Also you can not take an ability during an event.

OK first off not fully finished setting up everything but what i have will be available for all to see.

Race: Pegasus

Size: 1/2 that of normal Pegasus
Mane/Tail: Red Tech style
Coat: Dusty Grey and covered in dust.
Wings: Metallic Silver (See back story)
Personality: open and outgoing
Cutie Mark: three Gears made of three different materials.
Special Purpose: Machines and working with them as well as on them or just creating them.
Home: Cloudsdale and The Rainbow Fortress
Favorite place to be: working at the Weather Factory repairing their machines.
Favorite Project: The Rainbow Fortress
Likes: almost everyone
Dislikes: all dark beings (not crusader type dislike)
Origin: hasn't told any pony
Current project: The Rainbow Core (see back story)

Back Story: He is a small Pegasus for his age. He is outgoing and open to the realm of possibilities. He lives and works most of the time in Cloudsdale. when not in Cloudsdale or with friends he s working on his masterpiece The Rainbow Fortress. in its final stages he still needs a power source that can power it long after he is gone. He is trying to create the power core needed to keep The Rainbow Fortress active even after he is gone. he is one of few Pegasi that can actually get into the gears of the machines at the Weather Factory for direct repairs to keep production at 100%+.
One day while working on the machines that help produce the spectra he lost much of his wings and was said he could never fly again but after long hours of sick leave from his duties at the factory he created artificial wings that work just as good as Pegasus ones to get himself back on his feet. he now uses his knowledge of Pegasus Anatomy to help others who have lost or never had gained the true ability to fly. His Pegasi abilities stem only from his cutie mark and his special purpose, so as long as he can do his thing with the machines he loves then he is as care free as can be but if one were to hurt any of his machines he is a force to be reckoned with.

Allies/Acquaintances: Exiled Changeling, Chrysteel (an O.C. Changeling Princess, who hates the Changeling Queen for what she has done.)

Background: new to Equestria, but not liked by most because of her ideals. Left the Hive in search of friendship and maybe a true love of her own when she gets old enough. Stays where ever she can and hoping that they don't mind her eating habits. She is very open to ideas and truths but has not idea what a cutie mark is, tough she has heard of them and has seen them, or even if she can get one. her purpose is still unknown to her but she wants to make things right and prove that not all Changelings are love eating vampires. Her first friend is Tech who works in Cloudsdale. she has seen but avoids because of the Changeling incident the mane 6. But does eventually want to be friends with them maybe even help them better understand changelings a little more.
