Ponies have once again went to see the myth Slendermane. But, they thought he was gone -- Dead. Unfortunately, he was still alive. They didn't know. They're lost in Everfree once again... Who will trust Slendermane, is the question.

Slendermane lay in a dark cave. He was hurt badly. He hated to admit, but he was in a dire need of help. Nobody trusted him, nobody even LIKED him. He was too weak, his head was too heavy to pick up.

Misty Moon seeks shelter from a severe thunder storm and hurries to a nearby cave unknowing that somepony is in there already.
Slendermane painfully moved his head to see the pony approaching. He quickly jerked his head back and kept still, hoping to not get attacked again.
Misty sees the pony and sits nearby wandering why is the a pony alone in a cave when she sees that he is hurt and pulls a med kit and starts patching him up.
He was faceless, but she knew he was staring at her. "Why are you helping me?" His demented voice echoed in the cave.
Misty: You are hurt, it is against the knight's code to leave a wounded pony to suffer.
"I'm not just a pony, I'm a monster." He sighed. "I can lift my head now, at least." He lifted his head to look at her.
Misty: Alright, you are all bandaged up, I hope you starts healing up. (shivers) Gosh it's cold. (uses her fire magic to warm the cave air)
He slowly crept into a dark corner of the cave.
Misty: Aren't you cold?
"I don't feel the cold." He poked out his head from the dark. "I think you should leave. Ponies would be suspicious about you. If you're studying about me, go. Go ahead and say I'm real. More souls to take..." His demented laugh rang out in the cave. "My powers... They'll be back soon!" He shouted. "THEY'LL BE BACK!"
Misty: I fear nopony, not even the likes of you.
"Oh.. I'll MAKE you fear me..." He growled. His face split open and he finally had a mouth. Deafening screams of fillies and colts filled the cave.
She unsheathes her red bladed katana and assumes fighting stance.
Misty: I've seen scarier things inside the gates of Tartarus.
"My powers have returned..." He teleported away, deep into the forest.
She puts her katana back into her scabbard then projects her thoughts to all the royal guards in the immediate area.
Misty: This is Sir Misty Moon, be on the look out for a faceless pony. Considered extremely dangerous, subdue on sight.
A small changeling tries to gallop past Misty. She fell on her face and then she slowly got up. "He's gonna kill me for being laaaate! D:" She jumped.
Misty: What are you late for little changeling?
"Work.." She sighed. "Mr. S is gonna kill me! DD:" She wailed.
She puts the young changeling on her back.
Misty: Tell me where you are headed little one.
"Oooooh! Nonononononononono! If I take you to the p-place he'll take my soooooul!" She gasped and covered her mouth. "I've said too much." She hopped off Misty and hurried away.
Misty: Strange.
Leafy walks in nervously holding her flashlight Slendy you here
Slendermane was nowhere in sight, he was somewhere. Waiting.
A small Changeling finally finished setting up notes on tree trunks, somewhere far away. She transformed into an adder and slithered under a bush.

Misty returns to the cave and sees a pony she hasn't met before, she's holding a flashlight.
Misty: Hiya, my name is Misty.
The radar beeped loudly at the edge of Everfree Forest. Well, the spike in magic energy is right here. Laserbolt looked into the deep darkness, and shivered. I haven't been in here since that infestation of yetis. But, as much I hate it, gotta go in. Too much flux, and I gotta fix it.
Slendermane stood far away in the darkness, watching and waiting.
Star was walking through his horn glowing as he looked around he passes into the view of Lasebolt
Laserbolt trotted deeper into the forest. As he looked around, he realized that the spike on the radar was moving more erratically. The balance became more and more unstabilized, and suddenly, the radar exploded! Ah, crud. That's not good. Last time that happened... well, I'll try not to think of that. He looked around, and felt something staring back at him. But... woods don't have eyes... do they?
Misty starts walking back to Ponyville.
Slendermane's voice echoed behind Misty. "Leaving so... SOON?"
A chill ran down Laserbolt's spine, and he felt like something wasn't quite... right, as cliche as that sounds. He looked around, hoping to catch whoever was spying on him, but did not see anypony. This can't be good... I hope I didn't get into something I can't get out of...

Misty: There is a master of darkness roaming about these woods, be extremely careful.
Master of darkness? Huh... Wait a minute... He wouldn't happen to be that guy with all those cults, is he? the ones where ponies wear masks and kidnap foals? Laserbolt ran up to the pony, and looked her right in the eyes. It's very important that you tell me.
Misty: Not sure, but I will help you out anyways. I found him in a cave and treated his wounds. He ran off after that, I have no idea where he is now.
Now, hold on. I'm gonna guess. Is he suspiciously well-dressed? And also, why would you help somepony that called themselves a master of darkness? That's just asking for trouble.
Slendermane made a static-hissing sound and teleported away.
Laserbolt looked startled for a second, then shook his head. Did you hear that?
Misty: I heard that, but now it is gone. I was following the code of conduct that all royal guards must follow. He was injured and I did what I was supposed to do.
All right, never really agreed with the Celestial Guard's conduct, but I won't argue. Hey, really quick? Need to ask a couple of questions.
#1. Does he have a face?
#2. How many legs does he have?
#3. How much danger are we in, staying here?
Misty: I didn't get a good look at him, he has four legs, and we should be moving on.
So, you're saying... We should stay here, and figure out what's going on? Gotcha!
Laserbolt ran deeper into the woods, and disappeared into the shadows, then came right back to the pony.
I'm Laserbolt, by the way... Hey, where'd you find him anyway?
Misty: I found him in a cave not too far from here, follow me. (starts running to the cave)
Oh, this is gonna be more trouble than it's worth...
Laserbolt ran after the mare, wondering just what was in store for him.
A little changeling was sitting in the cave. "Ohhhh, Mr. S is late for the traaaade! >A< He said he would get me food! I was gonna give him the dried blood, but he isn't heeeere! D:"
Asterian had been wandering in the forest for hours. He was out looking for something to write about, but it had grown dark outside, and he had lost his way.
"Hmm..."
He's not sure what or who, but he has a vague sense of anxiety...
The changeling quickly galloped to the back of the cave. If she was seen, she would blow it. She loved acting childish, while she just had a growth issue.
A little neon dark indigo filly named Nightly Moon walked into the cave, Her neon green eyes glittering, her neon cyan hair glowing, and her broken wings shining. she had lost her way but came to hear a sad moaning cry. At first she was scared since the only one who could make that noise was slendermane but then she thought he sounded lonley, sad and hurt so she came to try to help him. SLENDERMANNNEE!! She called through chattering teeth.
((Slendermane is out of the cave now, but a changeling is hiding in the cave in the darkest corner.))
The faint sound of breathing filled the cave.
Laserbolt ran, thinking he was following the mare he had just encountered, but soon realized he was running blind. He stood around, hoping to get his bearings, when he saw, off a ways, a stallion, similar in color to himself, but with yellow hair instead of blue. HEY! That's that writer guy! Laserbolt ran up to him, and skidded short right in front. Excuse me, you're Asterian Starfall, right? I love your books, man! Gotta say, your works in fiction are a masterpiece!
The Changeling dashed out of the shadows and buzzed away, encountering the two white-coated ponies. She gulped and landed behind Laserbolt. She put on her filly voice and sat down. "Hi?"
AH! Oh, jeez. You scared me, kid! Listen, I- Laserbolt turned, and saw that Asterian was gone. Huh. Strange. Never answered my question. Anyway, it's dangerous in these woods. You should probably get outta here. You know monsters always run around Everfree.
"I know there are monsters, I have monster friends." She smiled.
Laserbolt looked surprised, then smiled, as if he had just understood a rather funny, but cruel joke. Yeah... Don't we all? He pulled out a pair of goggles from his saddlebags, and slipped them on. Then he turned and looked at the girl. Yup, just as I thought. Nice disguise, though. Listen, you'd better start talking, changeling, or I'll report you to your hive leader. Trust me, I know all the laws I need to put you away.
Her voice reverted to her normal adult voice. "Oh? And what could you do? I work for the most dangerous monster in this forest..." She smirked.
Laserbolt looked interested. Oh, really? Another one of Slendermane's cultists, eh? I've dealt with your kind before, changeling, a bunch of mask-wearing dorks who can't cover their tracks. I could do more than a little to you. However, I feel that violence won't solve anything here. I'm simply here to cover a leak in the magical field. If it's not fixed, the forest might be destroyed, and seeing as how Ol' Slendy's a forest guardian, I'm sure he wouldn't want that. So, we have a common interest. You want your master happy, and I want the universe intact. Truce? Laserbolt extended a hoof to the changeling, and hoped that he could trust her. He doubted it.
Asterian continued to wander aimlessly in the wilderness, trying to find a way past the treeline. He pulls out a bound leather book from his saddlebag and begins to write...
Everfree is filled with many things, but there's something here that's just not right. I have the strangest feeling like I'm being watched...
He hears a rustling bush nearby. No time for inspecting what it is. He puts the book away and continues to try and find a way out.
This scale here is a report on Asterian's Hope/Dread, borrowed from LOTRO. Figured it was appropriate.

A tall faceless stallion stood behind Laserbolt. The changeling blinked. "Speaking of Slendermane."
Asterian notices something in the distance. It looks like...
"A topaz?"
Asterian wondered what such an amazing gem was doing in the middle of nowhere, but he felt inspired by its discovery.
Asterian's Hope/Dread: 3
Nightly was blindly looking for SlenderMane when a skeleton she stepped on said OWW! A TALKING SKELETON!! She squealed. No BoB! the skeleton grumbled. He took off the mask and then Nightly yelled at him. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU WOULD SIT THERE AND DO NOTHING WHILE SLENDERMANE IS STUCK IN THIS CAVE AND MAY BE IN PAIN!!! It echoed throughout the whole cave but she was too mad to care at all. SlanderMane isn't in the dumb cave.... he's somewhere in the forest..... He grumbled sharply.
Asterian's search for the exit path was proving pointless.
"Forget it... I'll just have to camp here."
He reached inside his saddlebag and pulled out a tarp, which almost instantly unfolded itself into a massive tent. Inside there were chemicals on a table, some food stuffs in a cooler, several lamps, and a cot.
"Hmm... Glad I sprung for the enchanted version."
He laid down and tried to sleep.
Asterian's Hope/Dread: 2
Hope/Dread fades at a rate of 1 unit each post until it returns to 1, assuming there's no influencing factors.
Nightly bucked Bob's face and galloped away and tripped on another pony who looked as if he were sleeping. EEP! She screamed as she hit the wall.

She figured out that he was asleep still so she quietly trotted to the darkest part of the cave.
I- He's right behind me isn't he. There was a moment of silence, then Laserbolt spun around and jumped back, then steeled himself. Dang it, I'm a scientist, not a warrior, he thought. He opened his mouth to talk to Slendermane. I hope we can negotiate, big guy. I want nothing to do with monsters or sacrifices, or whatever it is you really do. I know I may have done something to make you mad in the past, but right now, there are more important things at stake. Laserbolt was visually trembling, as he wasn't so great with imminent danger.
Nightly found the exit instead of the darkest part but she saw a poor pony looking at slendermane and she could tell that he was in trouble. LEAVE HIM ALO0NE! She screamed at SlenderMane.
Laserbolt heard a cacophony of noise, and turned his head. He saw a young mare yelling at him, but he couldn't hear her. NOT RIGHT NOW, RANDOM STRANGER. I'M TRYING TO NEGOTIATE! Laserbolt turned back to Slendermane, and waited for an answer.
Nightly did a facehoof and said angrily. HE'S GUNNA RIP OFF YOUR FACE!! Then she stood beside LaserBolt and waited. Then said. If he tries to rip off your face then he's dead. I think SlenderMane is cool but why take a chance?
Excuse me, Slendy. Laserbolt walked over to the mare, and looked her straight in the eye. He said, in a low whisper, I don't know why you followed me from the pocket dimension, and I don't know why you're trying to interfere, but listen carefully. I am well aware of the dangers of what I am doing, but there are more important things than you or I. So, while I appreciate your concern, I suggest you take your business elsewhere. Laserbolt spun back around, and walked back over to Slendermane and the changeling. Now, where were we?
Nightly had no idea what in all of the world this guy was talking about. What the hoof is a pocket dimension? She said to herself. Something touched her shoulder and she looked back. NO! She screamed at a black stallion with dragon wings and red snake eyes. She ran hard right past LaserBolt but so he could hear said. IF THE POCKET'S WHERE YOU COME THEN WHO'D YAH MARRY A BALL OF LINT!? Then she ran fast into the brush.
((Um, I guess I should explain. I like to cross my RPs, and you were in the cosmology thread, which takes place in a Pocket Dimension. Does that explain it? Also, Laserbolt ain't married.))

When you're not actually Roleplaying with a post, or part of a post, you need to distinguish it from your regular typing. For example, I put mine in double parentheses. It also helps, when you are talking in RP, to have a color, or at least quotes for your character's speech.))

Slendermane made loud static noises, and teleported behing Laserbolt again. "Notes!" He screeched, and he teleported away, deep into the forest.
The changeling blinked. "That wasn't as good as I expected." She coughed, and she slowly lifted into the sky and buzzed away.

Laserbolt blinked, and looked confusedly around, then looked at the changeling flying away. WAIT! Come back down here, dang it! I still have questions! DON'T LEAVE ME HERE! He teleported onto a cloud next to the changeling, and grabbed her wing.
The changeling screeched. "That's sensitive!" She growled at him.

Sorry. Listen, I need to know about what's going on. How come one of the most mysterious beings in Equestria seems to have gone senile? What was he talking about? I'm not leaving 'til you tell me.
"It's top secret." She snorted. She fluttered her wings, trying to get away again.
Laserbolt did not let go. Listen, it's obvious something is wrong with him. It's very possible it's an imposter, even. After all, Slendermane isn't supposed to talk. Let's compromise. I'll help with whatever's going on with your god monster, and you tell me what you know.
Asterian awakes in the middle of the night to an eerie noise.
"What is that?"
He peers out his window, but sees nothing.
"Maybe I'm just hearing things..."
At that moment, he hears the noise again, and can tell it's some sort of static.
"Something's not right here... Better go check."
He departs from his tent and begins to search the area.
Asterian's Hope/Dread: 1
Slendermane reappeared. Loud static split through the forest, and he tried to grab the changeling.
Asterian hears the static as it reverberates through the forest. He looks around in a fruitless attempt to find out where it was coming from.
"... Something's not right here..."
Asterian's Hope/Dread: 0
OH SWEET LORD! Laserbolt let go of the changeling's wing, and nearly fell off of the cloud. He stepped back as Slendermane grabbed the changeling, and pulled her away. WHAT IN LUNA'S NAME IS GOING ON HERE!? I NEED AN EXPLANATION, STAT! WHAT'S WITH THE FLUX!? WHY IS EVERYTHING GOING CRAZY!? WHAT'S WITH THE NOTES?!
Having searched the area, Asterian can find absolutely nothing. He proceeded back to his tent, but as he went inside, he caught a fleeting glimpse of a figure flying towards him. It slowly drew nearer until he recognized it as...
"Merriweather!"
He held out his hoof for her to land on, and she seemed to smile at him. A fire began to blaze in his heart.
Asterian's Hope/Dread: 6
Slendermane growled, made more static noises, and tried to pull her away from Laserbolt. "I don't care if I tear off one of her wings!" He screeched, finally pulling her away, but a small bit of her wings broke off. He teleported himself and her away.
Laserbolt stood on the cloud, staring at the empty space in front of him. For a moment, he wondered if the fate of the forest was worth all the stupid, irrational things that were going on. The answer proved too complex, and he fell over. Unfortunately, at this point, the spell allowing him to stand on the cloud wore off, and he fell to the forest below, landing - where else- right next to Asterian. He scrambled to his hooves, and looked around, not yet noticing the camp.
Merriweather jumped off Asterian's hoof.
"Are you okay there?"
Asterian held out his hoof to help Laserbolt up.
Asterian's Hope/Dread: 6
Oh! Hey, Asterian! Sorry to drop in, no pun intended. Laserbolt took Asterian's hoof, and pulled himself up. Then, he looked around, as if checking the forest for spies. Tell me, anything weird happen around here? Any strange holes or anything?
((By the way, after this RP is done, I'll make a Sequel to my old Portal 2 RP I did back in the day. So stay tuned for that, if you want to. ^-^))
A line of ponies walk past them. The ponies seemed to have soulless eyes and faded fur and hair. Their mouths were all stuck open, almost in a screaming pose. They seemed to be chanting.
Exile... Exile... Exile...
They were only repeating Exile. Something was disturbing about them, almost if someone did this to them.
The ponies in the line were carrying baskets full of wood, leaves, and metal.
The pegasi in the line had mangled wings that were posed as if they were halfway through flying, but gave up.
The unicorns in the line had cracked, fractured, and broken horns.
Something was horribly wrong.

One of the ponies drop their basket and crawl over to Asterian and Laserbolt. "Help.. Meee..." She whispered before collapsing. She was still alive.

NightlyMoon was tripping over her own hooves by the time she'd gotten back to the cave. Great Celestia this hurts. she said painfully. Ooooh I knew it was a bad Idea to insult that pony but I was too mad to care and now I'm alone and scared and now I'm pretty sure that I'm going to die pretty soon....... [glow=red,2,300] Right you may be dearest Nightly Moon.[/glow] Nightly opened her eyes to see a dark navy pony with blue hair with red tips and dark red tips under is nose. eyes and hooves, His eyes were red and his wings were bat wings. [glow=red,2,300]Oh Nightly, How could you have forgotten about me?[/glow] Nightly was stunned. H....HELP! Nightly Moon cried. [glow=red,2,300]Wait a cotton picking bit[/glow] He said sniffing the air. [glow=red,2,300]SLENDERMANE!![/glow] He screamed flying as fast as he possibly could into the sky.
Um. I think we should help. Laserbolt rushes to help up the young mare.
Nightly twitched a bit then saw LaserBolt and cringed since she thought he wanted to beat her up for the insult.
Laserbolt failed to notice Nightly, because he was too busy with the mare collapsed on the ground.
She was happy it wasn't her that Laser was helping. Nightly limped slowly and breathed in something and when she coughed it up she noticed that it was a not that said.... [glow=red,2,300]SlenderMane is here.[/glow] That's just sick. She said as she held the note in her teeth to stick in her ripped up backpack. there,She said. I can throw this out later.Then she limped on.
The mare that collapsed kicked her legs back and forth. "Heeeelp..." She cried. "Ex...I--" She collapsed again. This time, dead.
Laserbolt looked at the dead mare, lying on the ground lifelessly. He turned to Asterian, and said:
Well. Buck.
