When I try to change my account's secret question by going to Account Settings and filling out the last three fields at the bottom of that page, I get the following error:
"The password you entered was not correct"
But I am 100% sure that I'm entering the correct password.

Here's some additional info that might be relevant:
I recently changed my password (like, an hour ago).
I tried using both Chromium (the open source version of Google Chrome) and Firefox
Chromium was version 60.0.3112.78 (Developer Build), 64-bit
   Firefox was version v55.0.2, 64-bit
I tried clearing the cache in Chromium and the bug persisted
It was a fresh installation of Firefox
I'm running Lubuntu Linux on a virtual machine (using VirtualBox)

Update:
I was able to successfully change my secret question after changing my password again, and I've narrowed down the problem. The error was being caused by the presence of a backslash character (\) in my password. Perhaps the Simple Machine Forums code was treating it as an escape character?
