Graceful Talons narrowed her eyes and flew up into the cold skies, realizing that the ponies seemed a little too busy to spare a few bits today. Her stomach grumbled a little bit, realizing that she hadn't eaten in a while. And of course, she flies a bit too recklessly and bumps into something in the sky. Her eyes widen and she quickly makes sure that she didn't break anything. To her surprise, they were some strange species of pony she has never seen before... It looked like a pony.
"Er.... Hey?..." Grace said nervously before flying a few feet away.

Sewing Seeds finally finished his work in the garden after a while, so he decided to do some work in the barn. He walked inside, sighing happily at the warmth he felt as soon as he entered... Though it didn't last too long. He noticed paw prints painted the barn floor. He furrowed his brow and followed the tracks, only to find a...
"Wolf!" The earth pony shouted in fear, backing away frantically, only to trip over a hay bale. His eyes were quite wide and his face was... Quite pathetic.

Scenario (for non-ponies): you're noticing the battles between the pony races, and how much they seem to hate eachother. It worries you a little, though not too much. It's not really you're problem, since you're not even part of their species. What will you do?

Scenario (for ponies): you're in the midst of a huge argument between the two other races of ponies. You find yourself wanting to talk to other species since all everypony talks about is how to defeat the other races... But no random dragon would like to talk about a pony's problems, would they?... What will you do?

Season: winter
------

Graceful Talons donned her scarf before leaving her home, venturing off into the cold winter skies. It was something she did every morning, and she was alright with that. She wishes that her awesome morning routine would never change unless it involved more money. She loved having money... The more she had, the more status she thought she had.
A smile formed on Grace's face as she landed swiftly in the cold snow. She was atop a mountain where she usually sits during the early morning to watch the earth below. Only thing different about it from normal land was that there were ponies!
It was the perfect idea for getting more money! By simply helping out a pony, she could get wealthier! Though... It didn't always work. She usually just helped out their usual chores, and those chores were usually for the pegasus ponies.
Grace got out a piece of bread from her bags and began to eat casually, not too worried about anything just yet.

Sewing Seeds brushed the snow out of the way with his hoof. He planned on planting something once more, though he highly doubted it was going to be different from other attempts, but there was stull a chance! Hopefully... There couldn't possibly be anything worse for peach trees than that darn cold.
With a sigh, the earth pony continued to get rid of snow, revealing healthy soil. With a successful smile, he planted the seeds and cleared the snow out a little bit more. Since he was such a good farmer, he had no worries for planting things in the cold, but it seemed that peaches just didn't seem to want to do anything until spring. It was still worth trying, though.
After a bit, he trotted off to his nearby indoor crop, where he had lots of corn and pumpkins growing. He began to pick out the fresh food as everypony else went about their daily business.

Mystery quickly glided down to the lifeboat and looked behind her to watch the ship as it sank. Her face showed shock and fear as she looked over to the other ponies in the boat. She would rather fly above the boat, though her lack of strength in her bat wings only allowed her to fly for so long.
"That sinking ship definitely screams conflict between ponies... That, or an accident... Hmm..." Mystery spoke to herself as she took out a note pad and began to write something. "If it were an accident," she continued to mumble, "then somepony must've messed up really bad... If it were a conflict, then..." She thought to herself for a moment, "the pony who caused the ship to sink must have been quite angry... What do you think, Blue-" Suddenly, the detective turned around and realized she was with two total strangers; not with her assistant, Archer Blue. "Er, sorry about that... So, uh, what happened here?" She asked.

Mystery looked over to see a few other ponies jumping into a lifeboat, which worried her a little bit. Why were all of these strange things happening? She ran over and stopped at the edge of the ship, where the lifeboat was and hoped that the ponies wouldn't freak out.
"Excuse me, but what is all of this commotion about?" Mystery asked with a worried look.

Mystery
Spoiler: show
Mystery usually dons a peculiar black trench coat while doing detective work, and sometimes even wears it when she isn't. She can also be seen wearing a fashionable hat or scarf from time to time. She has pretty blue fur and eyes, a green mane and tail, as well as green bat wings. A dark grey hair clip is usually placed in her mane, which goes well with her trench coat.

peaceful and fair, and Mystery hates being alone. Partnership is very important to her, and with her victorious mentality and cooperation, she cannot stand to be alone. Mystery is a bat pony, with expressed intellect and a keen mind. She can be inspired by good books, insurmountable discussions and interesting ponies.

quality is always more important than the quantity for Mystery. She is often surrounded by art, music and beautiful places. She is cooperative by nature, so she often works in teams.

Mystery prefers justice and equality, and she cannot tolerate injustice. She avoids indulging in all types of conflicts and prefers to keep the peace, where this is possible. She likes to do everything in pairs and not alone.

The biggest problem for Mystery is when she is forced to choose sides because she is very indecisive and sometimes forgets that she has her own opinion.

Mystery loves harmony and gentleness, being a very peaceful pony. She also likes to share with others and spend most of her time outdoors.

She really doesn't enjoy violence or injustive too much... As well as loudmouths and conformity.

When Mystery was a foal, she was put into an orphanage at Canterlot a while after birth for reasons she really never knew. By the age of six, she was adopted by somepony named Standing Guard, who took care of her until she was fifteen. That was about the time she was told that she was adopted, and she decided it was a good time to learn about her true parents. She went back to the orphanage and got as much information on her parents as possible, though it wasn't enough at first. This drove her to take a trip to ponyville for more information based on the stuff that she had. The visit wasn't successful, though she did make a new friend named Archer Blue.

Mystery's clues lead her, however, to Manehatten. She decided to settle there, still at the age of fifteen, and start a detective business, since she found out that she earned her cutie mark by solving a clue to the biggest mystery in her life.

To her, having a partner (Archer Blue) to work with is the best thing ever. It helps a lot, and she also has some much-needed company on what few cases she has, since the detective agency isn't too popular. Currently, this bat pony is still living in Manehatten, where she makes a living out of solving mysteries. She is also still looking for her parents.

Saturn
Spoiler: show
Saturn has colourful fur and a vibrant mane. His mane is a pale orange with a few baby blue stripes along the sides. His fur is sort of orange but more of a dirty yellow. He has an average build for a stallion, though he usually tries to stand out from the crowd as much as physically and mentally possible, despite being a little bit shorter than most.

Saturn's cutie mark is a purple, ringed planet silhouette which is tilted slightly to the side. It represents his talent in astrophysics and astronomy... or just anything involving the universe.

Saturn is very stubborn and a little bit selfish, though he is also optimistic and quite honest about most things. He is adventurous and courageous, always wanting to be the first for everything as well as the best at anything, even if it's not something he loves. Though, when he does love something, he is very enthusiastic about it, wanting to be as involved as possible.

Despite these pleasant traits, Saturn can be very impatient, again having to do with his need to be the best as well as the first for anything. He can also be a bit moody and short-tempered, managing to get a bit angry when something doesn't go as planned. When this happens, however, he still tries to fix it or find another way. Saturn can be a bit impulsive as well, acting without a second thought on everything. It's sometimes good, but he never gives himself time to think things out. Ever. Along with the impulsiveness, he can be quite aggressive most of the time.

A natural born leader, Saturn will prefer to issue orders rather than receive them. His speed of mind and vast energy to move helps him to always be one step ahead of everyone else. All he needs to do in order to succeed is follow his chosen path and not give up on plans guided away by emotions. When faced with a challenge, Saturn will quickly assess the situation and come to a solution. Competition does not bother him and instead encourages them to shine even brighter.

Saturn is obviously in love with the sky and how it works, so outer space is definitely on the list of things that he likes. Actually, like isn't a strong enough word to fit his passionate personality. He loves anything including outer space, and will clearly do anything in his power to know everything about it.

He likes comfortable clothing, especially when he's just lounging around and doing nothing important. He much prefers to take on leadership roles, since that's really the only thing he knows how to do. He loves physical and mental challenges, as well as individual sports. He usually joins activities that involve running and competition. Saturn very much dislikes things that involve inactivity and doing nothing but sitting around, which can explain why he is always on the move when learning about how the universe works. He hates delays and having to wait for things since it slows him, and everypony else, down.
Another thing Saturn can't tolerate is doing work that doesn't involve his talents. Doing things such as explaining photosynthesis makes him a bit frustrated since he isn't a botanist. He's an astrophysicist.
Saturn was born on April 6th and grew up just outside of Los Pegasus, out in the xeric desert where he grew up with an odd hobby involving the cultivation of cacti. For the longest time, he believed that cultivating cacti would be his special talent, though it never was.

At the age of fifteen, Saturn received a telescope for his birthday, which he wasn't too interested in at first. Though, after getting a bit too curious, he climbed up to the roof of his house with the telescope and looked up at the wonderful night sky. It was then that he decided to go to the library and read up on a few books involving the names of every star in the sky. It interested him, though he wanted more in order to become smarter on the subject. He, to memorise every planet, star, and comet in the sky, began to map out the galaxy on a piece of paper. He learned and explained the trajectories of the planets and how fast they moved. After showing his parents this, he earned his cutie mark... but was shot down by his parents for not focusing on actual school work. They began to not only not support him but tried to encourage him to stop the "nonsense" he was doing.

Thankfully, Saturn's stubbornness helped him to keep learning astronomy and astrophysics through textbooks and the sky itself. Unfortunately, his parents, specifically his mother, became fed up with the whole thing and sold his telescope. It was probably the saddest day of his life, and he actually felt like giving up. If it wasn't for his teacher, he probably would have.

It was a Wednesday and Saturn was making his way out of the classroom at the end of the school day when somepony suddenly bumped right into him and caused all of his papers on astrophysics to fall to the ground. His teacher happened to notice and was surprised by the rather accurate math he had done while explaining things like the distance between Mars and the sun, as well as the orbits of every planet. His teacher began to encourage him to continue his work and even got him a new telescope to use on school property. His goal to become the best at anything involving space never actually faded.

After years of hard work and schooling, Saturn became an astrophysicist, one of the very few in Equestria, as well as the youngest. He moved Baltimare, where he soon founded the Institute of Equestrian Space and Aeronautics (IESA). It's not the most popular institute out there since most ponies don't have much interest in space sciences. It bothers him a little since he prefers to have some sort of competition to keep him motivated to discover and learn more.
Brave Fleet
Spoiler: show
Expressive and quick-witted, Brave is kind of like two different personalities in one and you will never be sure which one you will face. She's sociable, communicative and ready for fun, with a tendency to suddenly get serious, thoughtful and restless. She is fascinated with the world itself, extremely curious, with a constant feeling that there is not enough time to experience everything she wants to see.

Brave Fleet has an abundance of social contacts and loves to chat, search for understanding, always looking for strong willed people to communicate with. Without a clear flow of words spoken, Brave will quickly lose interest in the entire theme of any conversation and need to stay on the move, feeling inspired and pushed forwards by the information shared.

Brave enjoys flying quite a lot, even when she is not going very fast. Nothing can make her feel more free or excited than a good fly through the clouds.

She also enjoys reading a little bit, though she can never really finish books she starts. No matter how good the book, there's a high chance she will put it down after reading for a while and lose interest.

Brave also loves to talk with all of her friends, and sometimes even strangers despite her social anxiety.

This pegasus also really loves to just walk around town on her days off from work. She not only gets a chance to see her friends, but she also gets to go shopping a little bit.

Despite all the things this pegasus likes, she also has her much disliked dislikes. One thing she can't stand is being alone. Not only does she get a little cranky, but she can become really bored. She also doesn't like being confined, as well as repetition and routine.

since Brave Fleet was very inconsistent, her interests changed a whole lot. From learning how to fly to acting, becoming a faster flier (didn't last long at all), or even just playing a musical instrument. Though it sounds like she was searching for her cutie mark, she wasn't. She just had many different interests.

Brave's interests lasted for either a day to a year and changed no matter what. She didn't get her cutie mark until she was around the age of ten years old, when her neighbour's house was lit on fire by a baby dragon (not spike, ok? Another baby dragon). She was walking home from school until she saw the fire, and hesitantly "borrowed" a bucket from a neighbouring house, filling it with somepony else's well water, and then flying as fast as she could to the house to put it out. Even though it was a small fire.

Brave never knew she could fly so fast. Sure, there was the occasional case where she avoided being late by flying really fast, but this was different. Then again, that could have counted as practice.

Brave grew up to become a firefighter and was always given the job of putting out forest fires due to her speed and agility. You may be thinking by now "Oh, water is too heavy for one single pegasus!" This is true, and Brave could never carry that much water, which is where rain clouds can come in handy!

A lot of accidents have heppened where Brave could not put out the fire in time. This made her become a bit tougher emotionally. Though, it still hurts her.

Flaws: she can't run very well, she isn't good at math, she hates reading, she is a bit selfish at times, she takes pity on herself when she doesn't feel included, she likes attention, can't swim, she drinks too much hot chocolate, she becomes a boring, grumpy pony when she is left alone for more than ten minutes, and she can be easily embarrassed.

she can also move her wings fast enough to look like hummingbird wings, which is pretty fast.
(( just a few quick details about my character. IDK. I wasn't sure how to do this at first. I'm still not sure what I'm doing.
name: Mystery
occupation: Detective
Age: teen
appearance: http://i.imgur.com/uQ9LHAU.png.png ))

A bat pony mare in a dark grey trench coat was flying through the clouds, arriving from Manehattan with a rather worried look on her face as she looked down at a few pieces of paper. Fillydelphia was the last place anypony had seen her father according to rather trustworthy sources. She looked up and noticed vehicles running into the water, which was rather confusing to her. She had never seen something so... odd. It seemed very urgent; the way the vehicles drove into the water was very... violent. Quietly and swiftly, the mare flew down onto the odd ship, making sure not to attract much attention even though she was wearing a peculiar outfit.
"hello?" she said quietly, not sure what else to do. If there was a problem, she was determined to find a solution.

Brave lay on the warm, hard floor of the cave, the dragon's breath was thankfully very warm. Waking up from her long slumber, she remembered what she had to do, but she was too tired, who knows how long she had been asleep. must have been a long time... she thought, with the bags under her eyes finally gone.
10
Brave woke up, feeling the burning of the cold that she thought was the nice warm sun on her fur. She opened her eyes to see she never escaped to her house. at least I'm alive she thought. A scream jumped out of her mouth in frustration. She would cry but her tears would probably freeze to her face, so she kept herself from being sad, and got up, and took another drink of the potion. Maybe I should... Take another break... she thought as she glanced over at a cave that was conveniently close to where she fell, and she walked to it, knowing she had plenty of time.

As brave walked into the cave, she felt it become warmer. Brave looked around, wondering why it was so warm, and heard some kind of snoring. Looking to her left, Brave flattened her ears and showed an expression of fear on her face, seeing a dragon.
11
While everypony else was asleep, Brave continued on her journey home, she was tired, and for day, it was darker than night, it was quiet and she could hardly see a thing now. Brave tried her best to stay awake, even though her sleep pattern was messed up. Everything ways cold, EVERYTHING. Brave couldn't seem to find any use for her wool coat she found anymore, it was just another thing to make her colder. She should have been at least a few miles from warmer temperatures; she could possibly make it. In the blink of an eye, brave moved her wings as fast as she could, barely reaching her top speed.

It got warmer and warmer until the snow was gone, Brave flew home and landed on her porch to see everything looked normal. With a sigh, brave put her bags and everything on her kitchen table and went to check on her pet bird; a parrot named Jelly. But, something felt... Wrong, this couldn't be right.

Brave lay in the snow, still in the cold, mostly covered in snow. She fainted from dehydration and exhaustion from flying for so long without water. She was warm in the places snow covered her, while others, not so much. Unaware that she never made it home.
12
Brave decided she was going too fast after she lost feeling in her legs and muzzle, she had to slow down so her lungs wouldn't feel like freezing from all the cold she inhaled. She spread her wings and glided, often having to move her wings to keep herself in the air, she wasn't a skilled glider, she can only fly fast and dive fast.
'i hope I'm not lost' she thought, remembering that the train tracks were almost invisible, and her parents told her how easily you can get lost in the wilderness. 'I think I can still see some tracks... she continued to think as she glided at a higher speed than a pegasus with a longer wingspan would.

Her wings started to feel numb after about and hour of flying, she was tired.
'wait... I still have some of that potion!' Brave pulled out the potion and realized it was frozen, so she licked it and hoped it would work at least a little bit.
13
Brave felt energetic once more, and flew out of her temporary resting area, facing the cold once more, but this time no snow and hail hitting her while she flew. Her speed slowly increasing, she shifted around, dogging trees as she flew through a forest that could possibly be surviving in this cold. Braves natural agility was good enough to fly through a forest of trees at almost full speed and not touch anything but air, her crescent moon-like nostrils were the only reason her head hasn't exploded yet.

As much as Brave knew she had to leave, she also knew the others would be able to find her with ease, so she tried her best to pick up speed without causing a blizzard to form.
14
Brave let go and yawned, she was tired, she had been flying for who knows how long. She opened up her saddle bag to pull out a strange thing that stayed 'Equestrian Calorie bar' on it, an she took a bite of one and was kind of confused by the flavor, but she felt a bit better after that.
15
Brave blushed slightly, nopony really hugs her, she usually hugs and then it's over with. Brave felt warm as she was hugged, she hugged back. All she wanted was a large toaster to be put into, but right now this was all she could have. She knew cold was more dangerous than heat, so she had to be as warm as possible. Brave unconsciously hugged tighter, thirsting for warmth, because her coat wasn't good enough to keep out the cold.
16
Brave thought for a second. She got an idea, she took the potion and put it in her saddle bag.
"yes, but I'll save it for when something really bad happens." Brave hugged Venom as a thank you and looked outside to see how far she was. Warmer land was nowhere to be seen, just her worst enemy, snow.

Brave Fleet let out a sigh and her breath became a cloud in the cold air, there was no wind, just silence. She must be close since it was calmer. Brave thought for a moment, took out the potion, and took a small drop of it instead of the whole thing just to get a small kick. With a gag from the flavor, Brave sat down in front of what used to be one of her feathers and noticed the colors where still visible though it was completely burnt. 'I should have brought fire wood she thought, poking at the cold snow, though it was much colder than she was used to, Brave felt warmer now that there was more than one pony in there with her. She watched as her every breath formed a cloud in front her face.

"are you going back to the warmer lands, too, or did you somehow follow me?" she asked, trying to start a conversation instead of making it really awkward For them both. She took her coat and tried to fit her hind legs in it and ended up falling over on her side, she rolled on her back and continued to struggle. Clearly, she was a little bored
17
Brave, not yet having an answer, looked at the potion. Her tail feather bone still hurt from yanking her feather, but it was for survival, and her wings were pretty much thawing out from being covered in ice.
18
Brave flinched at the fact Venom was out in the middle of nowhere in the cold far from the crystal empire. She coughed and started to speak.
"um, how did you get a-all the way o-out here? I thought you were back at the E-Empire." the fire went out, causing the igloo to get go dark and cold.
19
As much as Brave wanted to go back, she was too far to be able to survive out there, so she opened up her saddle bags and got out a hay burger she snatched from the crystal restaurant. As soon as she took a bite, she found out it was frozen and she yelped as soon as she bit down. Taking out a match box she found, Brave began to build a fire using one of her tail feathers, which she did not enjoy so much due to the pain from pulling out a feather. It felt Warner as soon as the fire started, and all her pain went away as the Orange light burnt one of her feathers in front of her.
20
Brave remembered remembered what she heard about surviving in the cold and started to dig under the snow for warmth, and she found ground. She began to build herself a small igloo for more warmth to survive.
