Don't forget Frosty Skies, though I'm not quite sure what kind of role he'd have specifically, maybe away team situational member/engineer, he probably wouldn't focus only on coolant systems, that'd be stupid.

And yes, we WOULD need an engie. At NASA, not only do the worship the destroyer, but they all need to make sure every astronaut knows how to fix EVERYTHING fixable.

The Past:

Nine years after the coronation of the elements of harmony, an evil never seen before rises over the empire of Equestria. Beings both indescribable and unimaginable begin to spawn from this evil, they began to swarm in innumerable numbers. Starting from the west of the continent, the small city of Tall Tale was consumed in a mere hour. Reconnaissance from after the battle show that there were no signs of any structures after the evil passed through the city. The ponies that were met with these unknown forces suffered terrible trauma, nearly unable to speak. All that was left were the green open plains that once rested an entire civilization.

Yanhoover suffered the same fate. Within another hour, the city was gone. Of course, local defensive forces managed to relocate in an attempt to protect the city. Reports from more tolerable witnesses say that guards saw demented beings pitch black and opaque, describing them as darkness themselves, would appear at the border of the town. A swift fog would then roll in, making it impossible to see, even with a light source. Then, everything but the dirt beneath them was gone. It would be impossible for someone to explain that there was once a booming city over the vast pools of water and land.

Realizing the new and potential dangers of this new terror, the princesses decided to summon their ultimate weapon before any more people could be in danger. The elements of harmony were swiftly deployed to Smokey Mountain to counter the advancing darkness.

The elements were quickly used, eliminating all of the darkness and its forces.

Upon return to Canterlot, the elements of harmony were sick. With the final remains of darkness that were blasted away by the powers of magic, it managed to plague the nervous system of the six ponies. Realizing the symptoms could be fatal within hours and without any conventional cures working, they were encased in stone. They would reappear once a cure were to appear...or if they were in dire need of again.

Years after this event, it began to appear that all darkness and evil that existed in every single being was purged. Many theorists believe that the attack on Tall Tale was done by all evil spirits and being combined together in a joint force to banish the light from the world. However, it was strange that no ponies were harmed in these attacks. Theorists respond with previous events such as Nightmare Moon and the Chaos Lord himself, playing with their victims rather than slaying them outright. The most believed theory was that the evil were joining together to restart the world, rid it of all foreign elements (such as buildings), giving the planet a new start.

The Present:

Without the worry of any evil happening ever again, the job rate of guards significantly dropped. In fact, many animals adapted to the new pure life of their new planet. Other and new significant jobs were created or spread across the country. Equestria began to delay its work on its militarism and work on scientism.

Ninety-Nine years after the Dark Event (as they so call it), a revolutionary invention is distributed throughout the country. It is able to teleport across a very short distance (such as 1mm) over a very short duration (such as 0.01sec). Dubbed the FTM drive (Faster Than Magic), it is powered by earthly magic crystals found deep within the earth of Equestrian rock. These variables could be adjustable to meet the demands of other occupations, if they had the fuel to do so.

And adjust the ponies did. The first pony in space was soon launched into space five years after the FTM revolution. Soon, other species began to join in the space endeavour. The first space station would be created just a year later.

Another nine years, and a pony was the first to land on a foreign planet. It was located closer to the Sun than Equestria's planet, but its average temperature was only a few degrees higher. It was lush with rain forests and tropic vegetation. New and common animal life would soon be discover. Another nine years, the planet was colonized with an initial population of 12,500. The planet was dubbed "Exodus" due to its wildlife.

Another nine years, another planet was discovered. The griffins were the first to discover this unknown mass. Located farther from the sun, its climate was the exact opposite of Exodus. A few degrees lower than Equestria's average temperature, it housed wildlife that would be commonly seen in these arctic regions. The climate fared well for griffin-life. Nine years and it would be fully colonized with a population of 152, 200. It was dubbed "Polar".

The discovery revolution would soon begin. Planet after planet was discovered, colonized, named. Space station after space station was created to research and observe other celestial objects. Of course, that is all classified, but that is why you are here.

Future:

You receive an envelope in the mail, sealed with an emblem you have never seen before. Upon opening the letter, instead of the usual piece of paper with writing on it you receive an unknown electronic device. Upon pressing the large circular button located at the bottom, the dark screen lightens up with a variety of colours. Said colours are in formation to show certain words:

A Sci-fy RP is VERY delicate... The only people I can let into the RP, are the ones willing to live up to my expectations (which aren't high.)

I will do a Space/Galactic RP, IF those who partake in the RP, are all willing to keep the essence of outer space alive, and wait for me to keep track of it, as well as post my own fair share...

I WANT a lot of people to participate in this RP. I will also (to keep it alive) somewhat demand patience and others to bring new things to this RP (via seggestions sent to me by PM and then put into the RP event list.) I won't expect much, nor will I even DEMAND everybody bring something new, and awesome, creative, and fitting. Just make sure your posts cling to the feel of the RP. Make sure you put effort into your post.
