For some reason I'm convinced that I'm going to be disappointed with whatever shiny Pokemon I first encounter so I don't think that I'll even try catching any. (yes this includes the red Gyarados in soulsilver)

Funny you mention that. I caught a shiny Gyarados earlier (without chain fishing, too).

Turn that frown upside down. Starly is AWESOME, especially when it evolves. Funny though, the same went with my big sis, except in Diamond, not Pearl.

Honestly, I wish Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter would come out already, but then again I don't want them to rush the project.

either way, why not just get a female shinx and breed it with a pokemon with elemental fangs in a suitable egg group?

I got my 1st shiny pokemon which is the scatterbug. Just got extremely lucky, but this is the 1st for this game. my 1st shiny was a golbat back in R/S/E at the sky pillar and then the same pokemon in D/P at the victory road.

if you guys don't want charizardite and mewtwonite Y, i'm willing take them off your hands if that's ok.
