Hi! ^-^ just a quick question: will there be an ice archery event? lol, since Sparkle is a crystal pony, she trained for ice archery, so i was curious  :P

my base time is 9.78 according to the calculations i probably messed up Sparkle's speed stat is 4, and i rolled a 14

I just did the calculations, your time should be 9.83. Funny enough, that's my time as well.

Hehe thats a good score. Its alright, just a simple calc error. In case not everyone would like to do all the math for everyone, I will post everyone's times by OC and the time finished from fastest to slowest.

Also... SHOOT! lol forgot to add the World and Olympic records. Oh well... next event I'll remember to add them from here on end. Wouldn't be a surprise anymore now adding thr records that favor the OC that broke it.

I got something new guys. I have added a scoreboard of this RP in the first page of the main RP. You can check it out!

I have some ideas for the events that use projectile motion like the Long Jump, Hammer Toss, Hay Buck and such.

There are two different formulas I came up with. Here are the examples of 2 different formulas
Long Jump: The Farthest jumper wins.

FORMULA 1 (simple):
Speed and Strength will be used.
Roll 1-20
Starting: 5 meters
Base distance: 5m + .3*(Speed Stat) + .3*(Strength stat)
Dice roll: Base + .2(dice roll)

FORMULA 2 (complex):
Speed and Strength will be used
Roll 3 dices; 1 for final speed, 1 for final angle, and 1 for chance of foul
final speed roll 1-30
final launch angle: 1-30
Base speed: 6 meters/second
Run: start speed: 6 + .1*(Speed Stat) + .1*(Strength Stat)
Final launch speed: Run + .1*(final speed roll)
Final launch angle: 30 degrees + (angle dice)
Final distance = [(Final Speed)^2 / 9.8] *sin[2*(Final Angle)]

Both will involve another dice that will determine whether you will foul or not.
Foul if Dice roll equals to 18 or more

Formula 1 is definitely easier to follow.

So its decided. Formula 1 will follow up throughout the games. Thanks for voting  ^-^

Sometime, you can use the more complexe to make it.

But I know for sure people will get confused on what to plug into the equation. The 2nd formula is pretty diverse with how it calculates distance and the first formula wouldn't be too good in estimating. Also, I like everyone to use the same formula in case I make a mistake on the value calculated.

I'll just keep with the simpler one. Probably best for everyone.

Just want to give a note for these events coming up, I will give everyone a heads up on how the procedure will follow throughout these events. I will also like to poll for everyone to see which method.For those like the Long Jump and Ball Toss, should we roll 3 in 1 post or should we do 1 at a time and wait till everyone else have a turn to do the cycle again?
-For the 3 in 1, its much easier but gives less commentating if Maple and MMT wish to do play by play commentary. This is the faster method.
-However if we do the 1 at a time, we will have to wait for others. Also as the rules state, if you don't post in 2 days, your roll will be automatically made and the results will be used. Would take a bit longer though.

Long-Jump:
Each competitor takes turn doing a long jump

Ball-Toss:
Each turn

Single Archery:
Each turn

110-Meter Hurdles:
Simultanious (everyone goes at the same time)

i suppose whichever one is easier lol :P i'm fine with whatever anyone else wants to do  ^-^

For todays events, we will be taking turns until everyone has done their first turn. I will post the results for the first run and we will begin the turns again. Doesn't matter who goes first, I just put that I go first to start off the event.

Just make sure to wait for everyone else to do their post before doing the next trial.

Um.. I might've accidentally messed up my rolls for the first turn of the archery event XP I was a bit confused, so what I did was I typed 1d50 in 3 separate dice rolls(I didn't know what happened when you did 3d50 :P) and then just in case I did it wrong, I put in a spoiler tag the 3d50 roll.  You can use whichever one is the correct roll method, and disregard the other rolls XP sry for any confusion :(

@Purple : It is fine. If you did 3 seperate rolls, it is totally okay  ^-^
Forgot to mention 3 1d50 rolls are just as good. Thanks for the heads-up.

The 3 times 1d50 roll is really good when you try to make the feels and whatever possible things like what I did. It's better than I thought it will and I'm surprised for the last shot! Tried to find somekind of excuse and voila. x3

I will like to implement something every start of the new month. I like to see if everyone seems to participate in the RP and others that I have made, and you probably will be called in another RP of mines if you have signed up somewhere too x3 . Well... let's begin this little test (I am pretty sure all signed-up RPers are active, but I should also add the jump-in/sign-up hybrid and jump-in characters as well)

Alright guys. Got a decision for ya guys.

I have been looking at my total scoreboard and I was wondering how to score the ponies in each competition.




For one, which style of scoring should we use for these events? And second, should we keep the same score or you guys like to adjust the scores?

personally, i like the idea of there being the top 3, but either way is fine i suppose.  I'm not really sure what you mean by adjust the scores, but i suppose whichever one is easiest for you is fine.  I don't really have a preference lol

Sorry if it isn't clear on the second one. It means that you can either keep or propose a change in the scores earned in each position. So for the original the score is 5, 3, 1 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively. You can propose a change in the scores like for example, you can make it like 9, 7, 5 for the top 3.

I do prefer the proposed scoring system myself.

Okay so that is 1 for old, and 1 for new. Now... we need a tiebreaker for which scoring system to use before I add to it.

Game in the RP, did actually attempt one of the things. Hurdles or the long jump I think, he got stuck either way. So attempted and DNF = 0 :P

He never participated in the others, other than as a arrow holder so he got 0 for the rest too.

He is actually me! An human hidden in his cloth and never showed in front of the characters that he made in Equestria (explaining why I keep disappearing when Lightning Spark, Frost Snow or other characters of mine comes in).
Since hidden in my cloth as an unknown creature, I can show my hands, but ponies will think I am a minotaur or other kind of creature with hands standing on 2 foot/hooves.

In short, I will never show them that I am actually an human. Still be a mystery/myth for ponies.

I am very surprised Purple. I have seen you in most competitions to get pretty low rolls that land you in last. I made this competition's mechanics to have the lower dice roll result the better scores, but funny how it now gave you an above-average roll. Wow... talk about bad luck. It's like the game doesn't like you or something :s

The first time will be 1 roll of 25. You need to reach over 10.
If it succeed, your second time will be 1 roll of 30 and now you need to reach over the 15.

Then continue with your +5.
There will be probably a limit on it.

Yesiree. It will keep increasing. Well, eventually at infinity it will reach max if you were to be astronomically lucky beyond mortailty. I think we will lose at some point but not that long x3 .

I don't understand how that stamina dice work...

Okay. I'll explain.

So a dice roll works rolling 4 dices. So you will see something like

4d20: 6,12,10,12:: Total 40

So first roll is 6, so no addition is made
Second roll is 12, so second roll is added by 2
Third roll is 10, so third roll is added by 4
Fourth roll is 12, so fourth roll is added by 6

The total will not be used for the event, just the dice rolls within.


Also, I will adjust the incriments. I think they look a bit harsh.

I... don't think this is what I wanted you to explain. What I wanted to know is what the lowest or highest number will do to the situation.

The higher you roll in the stamina dices, the greater the chances of feeling fatigue, and in turn increases the final time. So is best to roll as low as possible.

So, this is how it work? It is a hard one. Thanks to explaining this because I didn't understood earlier.

Well I try to make em as fair as possible. Sorry if it did sound confusing. I think I will edit my wording on the How to Play mechanic so it isn't confusing.

I will now wish to impliment a role call to all RPers, including jump-in RPers, who has RPed in the last month or 2, so that I can check to see who are still interested in RPing and who has left the building.

Rules apply the same like the sign-in-ed. I call your name on the mentions or below here, and you just answer in any way you like, literally any way, and I will mark you present. I will have a deadline for everyone to answer the call to show who are still active, and the ones that fail to answer the call will be automatically dropped, or for jump-ins, will be disregarded in the RP and are able to continue off without further interactions with the character. Well... this is tough since from MMT's storyline he doesn't want another to involve someone replacing him in the seat. But at the same time, still haven't gotten word from @Maplewood to get us started in the RP. Well... I will wait till Monday for him to help start.

What I have the idea is Julien's character enters the booth without permission, and unnoticed, and upon entering, Maple sees the character entering, say a little something, and accepts the character to take part of the booth. Eventually the security comes in to realize the character isn't suppose to be part of the commentary and attempt to kick the character out.

So what you guys think? Is it alright?

Gah! The forum failed to notify me of this mention, so I didn't find out about my choice until after it was too late to decide.  I was wanting to continue for a while longer and not have Blue be left behind again mid-conversation.  It does start to get annoying if it happens too much.  And I know Blue can't handle it if it happens too much in a short period of time.

I know this is a lot to ask of you guys.

The final event is the 1600 meter run. If I continue and then bring a delay, it wouldn't bode well for Blue Cloud cause he already got removed from the field so would be useless for him, which is why I am asking for a rewind from everyone.

You can interact with us and talk about stiff. I am opened as well to talk in the break. Can talk to Arco, the official or any other one besides Lightning who is outside the stadium. I know it has been going for a while. Hoping once the rest finish their parts we all can continue.

Yea. Mostly got quiet and I was waiting too. MMTfan he doesnt come very often, so it isnt fair for him to not wait for him, and after the time skip I didn't give him a chance to respond to my question. So i am making it up for him.

I am still opened to have a talk with Arco. I would come up with stiff to help continue.

I know some of you followed my role calls on others, but let's hope everyone is participating this last event, and so that will conclude the track and field events with the final tally. Now, this is for all of you, and everyone who curiously checks on this OOC.

Since this is the final event I have an idea in continuing the RP in the form of aquatic events. And I also want to let you all know that anyone can drop out as competitor or sign in as a competitor for those who weren't in the competition before. If dropping out and still want to be in the RP, you can still do so since it is an open RP as well as spectator or coach/support. I wanna give an advanced time so that everyone can decide whether to join, and if anyone likes to join, feel free to do so. I'll announce the aquatics events and notify all of you when it starts.

I had an idea, and its the most probable, and I know you guys would probably be thinking the same. I thought about using Discord as means to roll the dice for the RP using an RNG bot. I think it is possible that the bot will make the roll, and cannot be edited in any way once it is rolled so that will help prevent cheating.

Now it is feasible, if everyone either does have a Discord or doesn't mind using it for the sole purpose of the RP. Now one thing I do say is I have no idea how to create a bot doing that x3 so I need some help how to do this stuff. If it all works super well, we may have a chance of a possible sequel to the Games.

So what do you think everyone? Would a Discord group for RNG rolls be okay for everyone?

I personally both like and dislike that idea. I mean, someone could just delete their post and replace it with a new one. However, if we end this RP with the event we did back in June and there are no more event left, then I'll be cool with that idea. We could also use some different OC's, as those games would be 4 years in the future. Maybe we could get new people to join.

That was the most concerning here in the forums here before when it was possible to delete before anyone knew. Have the same as well on Discord but hoping there is a solution to make the result permanent were it can't be deleted.

And I did plan to end the games with this last event and going forward with a sequel. It works if everyone agrees with the Discord solution to which is not looking bright. I could try again looking for a solution elsewhere as a backup just in case.

So we have 1/1 with a .5 for the middle each. Still don't have an answer from Misty Fly but I know he is similar with Sparkle being in the group already.

Practically almost all of us have a Discord, and there is a way to prevent deleting rolls by making bot posts permanent. Hmm... I know I want to make it allowable for everyone to roll their own dice. May not seem likely Julien joining Discord. Even though we have visual proof by all of us if one of us would do a dice roll for him, it doesn't feel right if we can't roll our own dices.

Haven't done this in a while x3. Role Call. Since we are near the end we gonna need everyone for the finale and closing so it now applies to all RPers.

Also still in the debate on using Discord as the source of dice rolling. I know some may not have it or use it, and would like to know if it is alright on you guys if its okay to allow us to roll on behalf of you?

I really wanna open up the new Games, to which I finally have a concept on games and now story events that take place during the Games plus the Winter Olympics are coming so should be a great way to start off the new RP with the 2018 Winter Olympics.

It has been a long time since I planned to open the sequel to our games. It has been a long time, and I really want to go ahead and begin to put together and open up the RP. I honestly forgot about it due to long period of time and I wish to start it right away. The current one will still be around until we get a definitive closure so we can all end it happily ever after. Now I know all of you have participated and so I want to give you all first opportunities to want to join the sequel RP and whether you join as a competitor or as another position.
