Original Characters / Scarlet Ink's Characters

Hello, everypony!
So, it's been a while since I brought my ponysona into roleplaying and I thought it was about time to get her a complete presentation.
Name: Scarlet Ink
Race: Earth Pony
Age: 21
Birthplace: Mareme, in Haytaly (or Rome, in Italy XD)
Current residence: Ponyville, she lives in the apartment above her library
Occupation: she's a librarian and owns a shop of her own near Ponyville's town hall
Appearance:
Special talent: she's a writer of great talent, but prefers to keep what she create to herself and a few other trusted ponies
Personality: Scarlet is a very kind and a bit naive mare that is generically prone to fall in maternal attitudes: she likes to take cares of others and is a good shoulder to cry on, always having a sweet word for anypony who needs it. She's also very passionate about her work and loves talking and bonding with her clients, often meeting them out of work and hanging around Ponyville.
Despite her being usually well accepted by others, Scarlet doesn't have a good self-esteem: past experiences brought her to underestimate herself and to think she's easily replaceable with somepony better than her. To prevent this, she sometimes exaggerates her attempts at being useful to others, overwhelming herself, and hides her feelings to keep a strong and calm facade.
Family:
- Precious Lily (younger sister, 18, unicorn, student): Scarlet and Lily share a deep sisterly love and are both greatly protective toward each other, but they're also really differents, since, while one is very quiet and enjoys a peaceful and homely environment, the other is very extroverted and loves mundane life;
- Pristine Clarity (mother, 49, unicorn, architect): while really loving her mother and looking up to her as an example of certainty and positive self-awareness, Scarlet has also always feared to disappoint the finicky unicorn, never being sure what to expect from her;
- Azure Might (father, 50, Earth pony, head blacksmith): much as her sister, Scarlet is the apple of her father's blue eyes and she really adores him in return, opening herself more with him than with any other pony else and knowing he would do anything for his "little toad" (said affectionately)
Backstory:
Scarlet was born in Mareme and lived there for the greatest part of her life, with her family and several relatives displaced in neighboring districts.
She has always been encouraged to follow her passions and dreams from her parents and had been made to grow educated and curious about the world around her.
Unfortunately, entering school she had been made object of bullying by her classmates, initially for her unusual gracility and clumsiness as a Earth pony and then, later on, for her myopia and her blank flank. Struggling to make friends, she entered a book club and found her Cutie Mark after winning a scholastic competition to which she had been encouraged to participate by Golden Stories, her teacher and, later on, mentor.
In her teenage years, she started to work part-time in the library Golden Stories inherited from her grandfather and discovered how much she really loved books and, especially, sharing stories with other ponies and decided that, one day, she would have opened a library of her own.
The occasion arrived when, after years of working and saving to realize her dream and some months after Tirek's attack on Equestria, she moved to Ponyville, where the previous library (Golden Oak Library, we will forever miss you
) had been destroyed during the fight between the villain and Princess Twilight Sparkle.
With the support of her family and the enthusiastic help of the Princess, she was finally able to open the Ruby Quill Library, on the road to the town's center, and is now still happily working on it.

Sign-Up Threads / Ponies: Lost In Space (Sign-Up!)

A group of ponies wakes up on the Solar Arrow, a mysterious spaceship that bears the mark of Princess Celestia.
None of them knows how and when they boarded: everypony knows only its identity and having inexplicably passed out in the middle of their daily tasks.
Confused and frightened , the group will have to learn to cooperate if they want to go back to Equestria and find out who put them on that ship and why.
But in extreme isolation, homesick and attacked by not-always-friendly alien civilization, their will to fight will be put to an hard test, both in body... and in mind.
Here some facts about the Solar Arrow!
1) the ship proceeds on autopilot, so the characters aren't forced to intervene on the route, but, since the point of arrival is set on unknown coordinates, it may not bring them back to Equestria;
2) the ship is self-sufficient, in terms of food and breathing air, for a period of five years;
3) while presenting Princess Celestia's mark, Princess Luna's one is totally absent

Last memory before boarding: she was greeting the clients on the first open day of her library

Warning for every new RPer!!!
Since we arrived to a point in the storyline where the Solar Arrow is going to reunite with the rest of the fleet that saved Equestria's inhabitants, the "last memory before boarding" part of the chart is no longer needed.
From now on, every new character that may be added will necessarily have to be part of the main fleet or, if you want to be as close as possible to the action, part of the Meadowbrook's crew, which Captain is @Onyx Quill.
I hope this may have cleared up any misinformations and you're welcome to ask anything it may be still unclear before joining in.

Pony Off-Topic Archive / My "Peace of mind" ship

Hi, everypony!
I know: it's practically unheard of a shipper who's been guaranteed with peace of mind
Regardless of this, I'm sure that, with My Little Pony, I actually found a ship that doesn't have me begging on the carpet, in a pool made from my tears, for a kiss between the two parts: Fluttercord.
To clarify: I love the idea of Discord and Fluttershy romantically involved with each other, I'm convinced it could happen in the canon and I have a not-so-small collection of fanart and fanfic Fluttercord-centric saved on my tablet.
BUT!
I also love their relationship as it is now.
Though I'd be absolutely overjoyed to see them together as canon, what made me fall in love with them, with what they could be for each other, was seeing what they are as friends: seeing Fluttershy (my favourite of the Mane-six) finding her place in the heart of Discord (my favourite and stop! XD) and teaching him what friendship is, observing how Discord can make Fluttershy pull out her assertiveness as well as her kindness...
In short, as a shipper, they give me peace of mind because, even if they will forever be just friends, I'm already more than satisfacted thanks to their beautiful alchemy and Tuesday's tea
But what about you, people?
Do you have, in this or in another fandom, a ship that can give peace of mind, in the way I explained for myself or another?
Or is shipping really a valley of tears we cross with the smile of the crazy one?

I have my own, as a lot of other bronies, but I've always been curious of one thing: what are the reasons people make their ponysona the way they make it?
For example, the species: what make someone decide for a pegasus instead of a unicorn? Or a griffon instead of a earth pony?
I made my ponysona so that could look similar to my real self, as much as a pony me could resemble the human me, and a earth pony, because I don't like heights and flying and, useful and interesting as it is, I wouldn't do much with magic.
These are my reasons, but what about yours?
I'm not asking this because I'm searching for a "right" way to make a ponysona: I like mine, it speak of myself and I really worked on it.
