I first came across some of my schoolmates talking about it and notice ponies where becomeing popular. I thought it was a joke and I didn't think I'd like it. Then I watched one random episode and...I didn't care too much for it. Probably because I didn't get what was going on. Or didn't know about the characters

Then my friends came over and one of my friends wanted to watch it. I watched the first two episodes I really enjoyed it and had lots of fun

But what really what made me love it even more is the awesome and talented bronies!

Hmm, where exactly to begin. Well, I was definitely not a "hater" per say, but I didn't like the show even though I hadn't seen it. Being familiar with the previous generations, I didn't expect anything good to come from G4. Yet, a friend persisted that it was good. I made fun of him (lightly) for watching a girls show, but still never gave it a shot. One day, my daughter was watching TV and the Winter Wrap Up episode was on. I was kind of amused by Twilight failing at everything, but still didn't like the show. However, at my childs request, we watched some more episodes on youtube. Episode 4 had me laughing a lot more, and by the fifth episode I was hooked.  And just like that, I joined the herd.
I'm comfortable around any friend about watching the show, but I don't imagine telling my family anytime soon that I openly enjoy a show with brightly coloured ponies. They might not quite understand. However, they're all aware I'm a fan of many other kids cartoons (Spongebob/Fairly Oddparents in particular), so I don't think it'd be a shock that I watched a cute pony show as well. Besides, it's a family show and I can always wield that in my defense.  And it's not Jersey Shore, something I'm apparently suppose to be watching for someone my age.

I was introduced in TF2. I wasn't a brony at that time, and a guy was yelling out some nonsense about some Celestia. So after asking myself "What is that guy smoking" I asked him what in the world was Celestia. Turns out, it was the princess from MLP. I watched the first episode, and BAM! Brony conversion successful.

A friend encouraged me to watch it on Skype... I hesitated for obvious reasons against the pony fandom but when I finally watched that one episode, I realised... This is actually pretty good! Then I went through the whole of season 1 up to season 2 today and I suddenly caught the Brony.

Converted, I now love and tolerate the internet.
