Messages - Voidwalker

1
Having reached a section covering the use of dragon-derived materials, Cloudy Zenith wonders if it is possible to synthesis the active compounds in said materials.
She makes a note on a scrap of paper and bookmarks the page before reading further.
2
Glad that she managed to retrieve her bag when the alarm sounded, Cloudy sits on the grass and starts reading some chapters of her Dragonology textbook.

((Okay then, time to swap my drink for something else))
Voidwalker orders some pear juice and starts adding copious amounts of sugar to it.
The end result resembles watery syrup more than juice and Void begins chugging it down, realising a little late that the drink he spilled on his beard was quite sticky and uncomfortable.

"And I'm Voidwalker. Yeah, I got booted out. It wasn't the first time either. I'm somewhat unlucky at drinking games and as such I often have way too much booze.
Which, considering my slight egomania and lack of self-restraint, leads to me showing off and making a fool of myself."
Void explains. "So, what clubs do you DJ at?"

"Well it's been a while since I've been to a club. The last time I went I partied a little too hard, though I suspect I was asked to leave because I'd decided to cover myself in fairy-lights and coloured strip-lighting." Voidwalker admits as he tries to think of where Hurricane could have seen him before.
6
"Hello there!" Cloudy Zenith greets Jewel Shine.
"I'm not entirely sure what I should be doing myself at the moment, but we seem to be in the middle of a fire alarm.
Once it's over I suggest going to see the secretary to enroll, she'll probably be in the lobby through the main entrance."

((Unfortunately the person who normally role-played the secretary hasn't been on for a while and from what I can gather will not be returning.
Which leaves it down to me to or one of the other members of this RP to fill in the gap. Hopefully I can mimic the secretary's personality correctly.))

"Hmm. The first idea could be used to make a small but loud tube-shaped speaker system, sort of like a sound stick.
The other one is for plastic made from rocks."
Voidwalker attempts to explain. He scrutinises Hurricane.
"You look familiar, but I'm sure I haven't met you before. Have you had your picture displayed somewhere public?" Void asks.

"Oh, some rough diagrams of a theoretical thermionic valve. I'm wondering if the electrodes could be plate-like in shape and if the connecting pins could be a separate ends, but it isn't very space efficient. The could work well in series if they were used in some kind of tube-shaped amplifier or suchlike though."
Voidwalker explains, waving his hoof over one of his diagram. He points to another as he takes a swill of his drink.
"And this is a sketch of the structures of several inorganic polymers."

Voidwalker had finally decided on what he would like to drink, after considering and rejecting several other options.
"Could I get a shot of plum brandy mixed with a shot of sour lime vodka and tonic water please." He asks the bartender.
He pulls out a sheet of graph paper and begins scribbling on it as he waits for his drink.
10
Voiwalker decides to see where the Bobber will take him.
"If Night Sight is in then take me to him. If not, could you take me to a place where I can submit items for him to review?"
Void asks the contraption, wondering if it would even start moving with such a open request.

Void decides that he will have a fruit schnapps of some kind, which narrows down his selection somewhat.
He begins trying to remember the ones he had has tried before, and lists them off in his head.
Let's see. I've had peach, apple, cherry, blacurrant, blackberry, pear, orange...

Pýrstar rolled a squib out of a scrap of newspaper and lit it.
Its strange how I still find such satisfaction in so simple a thing.
He mused before tossing the paper tube into the air, where it detonated with a small crack and a puff of flame tinged smoke.
He continued wandering around a dewy field, listening to the slightly ruffled noises of the birds and insects.

((My OCs lack that sense.))
Voidwalker meanders into the bar. He looks around for a place to sit and finds that there is plenty of choice, which proves to be a conundrum for him.
Eventually he settles for a stool at the end of the counter, so that if he fell off he would be less likely to fall onto another patron.
Now for another conundrum. What did he want to drink? This could take some time, though he was pretty certain that he'd order something involving liquor (or perhaps a spirit).
14
Voidwalker finishes altering his designs and enters the tower.
I wonder if the god of architecture is in. Or if he isn't, does he have a place to submit plans for review?
Void wonders as he tries to decide where to order the bobber to travel to.
15
((I think so. It might revive, but so far it doesn't look like it will. I'm going to attempt some thread necromancy anyway though.))
Voidwalker lurks outside the neutral tower for a bit, considering some last minute alterations he might make to his arena.
He pulls out a rice-paper blueprint and consults it, before using some red food dye to circle some spots to change.
16
((If I remember correctly Cloudy was in the Dragonology room retrieving a book.))
Cloudy Zenith retrieves her textbook from the table she had left it on, narrowly avoiding getting it wet as the sprinklers start.
She jumps ate the alarms and stuffs the book into her bag. She listens to Shard's instructions on the portal evacuation procedure before following it, stepping through the classroom door only to emerge from the main entrance.
17
What about artificial textiles and all the equipment and haberdashery?
The realms are a bit more separate if you consider those under the fabrics realm (as they have little to do with plants).
18
((I'm glad I had Void waterproof his arena))
Having iced scenes depicting lavish feasts, grueling quests (entirely fictional of course) and thrilling clashes of shadowy gladiators (to be replaced with portraits of contestant's victories at some later date) Voidwalker checks over his arena and decides he likes the design. He pops it out of his dimension and onto his asteroid.
I should get the architecture god to look over this, after all it falls under his realm and it should probably have some structural checks done. Are there even building regulations yet?
Void wonders before heading to the neutral tower.
19
((Looks like I missed stuff do to an unintended absence. I really need to remember to check LoE more often, sorry FlameandIce but Void is in his realm at the moment (and therefore rather isolated from the other deities)))

Finding that his doughy, highly preserved walls stood up to the impacts while cushioning the carrots sufficiently enough to avoid them breaking, Voidwalker puts a tick next to the walls in a sketch he had made for the arena. He then designs the floor, using slabs of toffee covered in mixed chocolate shavings to provide a solid surface with a layer of cushioning.
Hmm, I suspect many of the contestants will be more interested in eating the arena than actually competing, but I can only make it from food so that can't be helped. Unless I poisoned it, but they'd eat it anyway and then I'd have no living contestants. Void reflects before starting with the decoration.

Oblivious to the gathering of gods in Creation, Void continues his experiments in food based construction.
Having made a slightly under-baked fruit-cake and carefully let it go stale, Voidwalker soaks it in molten lard and lets the now water-proof cake set.
He then build a mock-up of an basic arena and summons forth some carrot lancers to test it.
At first he has the lancers joust properly, but Void soon sends them hurtling into the walls to test the material stability.
