I want to continue to watch the show and to be a brony... but... if she shows up... I'm just concerned that I won't be able to.

That's your choice and your opinion but keep in mind that other people want to see her and their opinions are as valuable as yours.
I really want to see her character and backstory get developed and maybe a chapter with Sunburst, and I'll be upset if it doesn't happen just like I'm upset about the background ponies in slice of life probably not appearing (as characters) ever again.

Not everyone is going to like the decisions of the writers or Hasbro, I definitely didn't like the way Tiara was redeemed, but I'm not going to say "If she appears ever again, I'll quit the fandom FOREVER!" every time the discussion comes or at least not thrice in the same page.

Sorry if this came out sounding aggressive.

I still don't like Starlight and probably wont for a long time, and that is my right and my burden. Maybe I will change my mind if I decide to watch season 6, who knows, maybe the writers will surprise me, they didn't with that episode though.

I can't blame you for that, the backstory they gave to Starlight wasn't exactly the best and everything we know about her personality was related to her town or her revenge.
We can only wait and see what are they gonna do with her, I'm guessing the next season finale she is going to be important to save the day like Discord was in the season 4 finale or sunset in the second movie.

Then there is her power. Twilight might as well give up her cutie mark, because the Element of Magic herself (who also gave up most all of her young life to her craft) was bested by this Unicorn, which never made sense. The writers should have used different tactics. To say nothing of every pegasus basically being made obsolete by how effortlessly Starlight was able to fly.

This complaint keeps annoying me.

Starlight can be a powerful magical user because she has studied as hard if no more than twi, and not necessarily because she was bitter.

Was Starlight more powerful than an alicorn for the sake of the plot?
Yes.

Was Starlight's magic more powerful than magic of friendship?
We don't know, Twi was alone in the finale, without her friends she couldn't brainwash Starlight like she did with Sunset.
(Yes, Sunset had to earn the thrust of everyone in the second movie but she became suddenly harmless and a good girl after the rainbow blast so I find it pointless)

tl;dr
Starlight was more powerful than an alicorn because the plot demanded it.
Twilight can't use the magic of friendship without friends so we can't really compare it with Starlight magic

They shouldn't get them until this series gets close to it's end/final season.

Well, a lot of people don't really stop to realize that if Nightmare Moon won, it would've meant the apocalypse. No sun = Plants die = No food for the ponies!

Also, what would nighmare moon when discord/sombra/tirek/etc appear :v

I just now noticed that all the ponies have the same mane and tail styles. None of them are allowed to be different!

She's smiling in such a smug way. Some people say she's an alicorn.
Some also say she looks like the Princess Skyla toy, except an adult, but Skyla's mane is purple and yellow, not purple and cyan.

Whoooa, what's the kingdom on the right?! Are the mane six gonna go there?! 'Cause the Crystal Kingdom is at the top in the north, so that castle on the right/east is definitely something else.
There's also an interesting place in the south. I wonder why the skull only has one eye hole.
The place with the ice waves in the north looks interesting.

I think the mane six definitely will be traveling a lot this season. I can't wait!

1. Well, I mean some parts might go over small children's heads. Not that MLP is overly complicated, but things can get "wordy" at times which might make the audience go "huh?"
2. I suppose it does get the point across. I just hope there isn't a miscommunication involved.

Not everyone checks every thread in the forums, so it's totally fine to start a new topic about this particular video, as Crescent Sun just did

I just felt the need of say that :v

My only worries/complaints are gonna be under a spoiler since I don't wanna step on anybody's Ponytails:

1) With Twilight getting confused by all this, I hope that Season 5 doesn't start to go in a direction that's too garbled and convoluted for little kids to follow. I know previous seasons were pushing it quite a bit.
2) Oh great, another cartoon that's going to say that "equality" is synonymous for "bad"  I mean yeah, I get it; they're really trying to say that "having everyone be exactly the same would be dull boring and creepy", but did they have to use an "Equal" sign to get that across? Why not a big grey blob or something? Or some kind of circle? Did it have to be Equality?

But those are just knit picks I guess!

1. Are you mean explain why there is something wrong a lot of unnecesary times?
2. Equality is not bad for "boring", this is bad search equality for take away what makes another different in order to give equality, and I think equal signs is more clear, they are supposed to be equals after all :v
