They appeared, Goddesses of Goddesses, to Velvet's realm.  Their power emanated from them like light emanates from flames, and they were beautiful beyond mortal comprehension, to a degree only a Goddess of Love and Beauty could appreciate even in part.

The majestic Goddess of the Day smiled, sending shivers down Velvet's spine, and spoke.

"Velvet Desires, Goddess of Love and Beauty.  We have heard and felt your loneliness and desire for companionship."

The beautiful Goddess of the Day spoke melodiously, like the beautiful singing of a nightingale in the evening.

"You wished, even if only in your heart, to have an audience with Us, and We have come.  Is there aught what you desire to ask?"

Velvet was stunned by their appearances, her eyes wide in shock. They seemed to wait patiently as she tried to gather some speech and thought from her shocked state. "I...I..." She whispered quietly, unsure of what to say. She tried to muster up any form of a coherent sentence, but ultimately failed in doing so as she remained silent. The Princesses of Day and Night remained patient, as if waiting for her to recover from her floored state, even though Princess Luna had a look of concern on her dark face.

The mare shook her head in haste and stared upon the Goddesses, offering a weak smile. "I apologize for my lack of response, princesses. You two just caught me by surprise, that's all." The regal goddesses nodded as if in understanding, and allowed her to speak. Velvet continued and let herself clarify the reason for calling upon them. "As you may know, I am a new goddess here, and I am not very...social, to put it simply. Though I have tried twice to bring myself to get to know other gods, they already have company and help from others. That or I am just a bit too shy. It depresses me so much so that I feel as if I will be alone forever, without friends or a lover, even though I am immortal. I also feel that nopony requires my help as a goddess, and I haven't a clue as of how to get started around here. I even think I do not deserve the title as goddess of love and beauty, much less my powers, even though I appreciate them." She lowered her head, crestfallen. "Please, do not be angry with me."

((This is what I get for taking night courses *facehoof* but at the same time this RP going this fast is AWESOME.))

Celestia smiled, as like unto a Mother of All to a daughter.
"My little pony, you have done nothing to anger Us.  Every creature feels the need to interact with others of its kind at some point; it is an innate part of each living thing, guiding each being towards Harmony."
Luna nodded.  "There are many ways to interact with thine fellow gods and goddesses, Velvet Remedy.  We must admit that We also once found Ourselves in a similar situation, having none to turn to save Our Elder Sister for conversation and the sharing of joys and ideas.  Perchance, if thou greeted thine fellows, thou wouldst be more capable of making acquaintance with them?"
"Introducing yourself is a good way to make friends, My little pony, and as you already know, Friendship is Magic," said Celestia with a divine twinkle in Her eye.  "My faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, also had difficulties adjusting at first to a new place and a new role, but after I commanded her to greet the future Elements of Harmony and participate in the Summer Sun Celebration, she found that making friends is not as difficult as it seems!"

Velvet nodded slowly. Though their words comforted her, she did not feel much better. She looked up at the princesses, the doleful expression lingering on her face. "But they all have something to do. They don't need anything of me, and I don't know how I can make this world better if everypony else is already doing that. They all have their own friends and it would just be a tiny bit awkward to just...make myself worthy of their friendships."

"My little pony, everypony has their part in this vast world!  Don't you realize?  You are also the one who brings all these mortals together and enables them to do all they have been able to do.  They act out of their love for one another, and their love for this world!"
"Thou art more than worthy of their friendship, Velvet Remedy.  Thou wilt find that making friends will be easier than it seems, if only thou dost try," smiled Luna.

((do I need to command you to "make some friends!" miss Velvet "Twilight Sparkle 2.0" Remedy? ))

Velvet gave a small smile to the princesses. "Thank you. That makes me feel a lot better~" She bowed in appreciation and levitated the plate sandwiches that she had created earlier.  "Though, if I may ask, who is this "Twilight Sparkle"? A rather pretty name if I may say so myself. Would you care for some sparkling water and mini daisy sandwiches?"

The Goddess of the Day smiled beatifically joy radiating from Her face like the rays of the dawn.  "She would be My faithful student, the Bearer of the Element of Magic, and one of six very special ponies dear to My heart.  They were the ones responsible for resealing Discord, and helping My Younger Sister free Herself from Her own bitterness.  And yes please, Velvet."

"And she is also the one to help me become... better acquainted with the terminology of the modern denizens of Equestria," added Luna."Although We still have trouble speaking in the modern tongue, We thank her for her help in reacquainting Us with Our subjects.  And... We would be grateful for such condiments as well, Velvet Remedy."

Velvet passed over a sandwich for each and a glass of water where they sat. She smiled at their experiences with this filly. "She really must be special! Especially with such good friends to help with all those endeavors. Has she a lover of some sort? She must have one, especially since she is the bearer of the element of magic!" She answered with a tinge of excitement in her voice. "Oh, and if she ever wants to go on a nice date, all she'd need to do is call for me and I'd assist her and it would be much fun!" Velvet stated, smiling even bigger. "Though she must be quite pretty! I wouldn't think of it any other way!"

'How lonely it is to be by one's self.' Velvet thought to herself as she laid back in her plush bed, draped in the soft sheets that wrapped her pink body in a warm embrace. The lovely equine had returned home an hour earlier, unsatisfied with her visit to the mortal realm. Again, everypony had been busy with their own callings as she explored the great castle of Canterlot, examining the interior and decor. From what she had gathered, mortals were hard workers and the artists who had dedicated their time to the palace put all their effort into it. While it did give her a smile of satisfaction, she felt sad after a moment's linger. She had promised herself she would acquaint herself with the gods amongst her, but she had failed to do that. Could she honestly blame herself though? She was a newer god, so of course the process of friend-making wouldn't progress rapidly, especially with her personality traits.

She rolled over, positioning herself upside down and exhaled a deep sigh. Was she destined to be an immortal loner forever? A goddess of love was supposed to be outgoing and a breath of joy to those surrounding her. It was sad, really. Now here she was, late at night with nothing to do but roll around in bed and check her manicured hooves. 'What a boring life I lead.' She realized as she turned in another position, laying on her stomach. She gazed at the romantic lights that colored the night sky. Everything was beautiful, except she had nopony to share it with.

Then, suddenly, a voice reverberated throughout the realm, a tone so powerful that Velvet swore her left ear must've shattered.

"VELVET DESIRES, GODDESS OF LOVE AND BEAUTY."

Oh goddesses, it was Princess Luna. She recognized the voice immediately, and jumped. The Princesses were here! To see her! "ohmygodismymaneamess?!" she said quickly to herself, panicking immediately. She teleported to her vanity, and saw her mane. It was slightly messy, but nothing she couldn't fix with a little magic. Her horn lit up its thistle-colored glow and she quickly put her mane back in its perfect state. She also turned to her bed and lifted the sheets. She shook out any dust that might've collected during her time of relaxing and restored it to its neat look.

With everything in order, she turned her head towards the door and smiled. As she was about to respond, she instantly realized something. She altered her gaze to the small, floating cloud that served as a placeholder for snacks and drinks. With a quick flash of magic, she laid out some mini daisy sandwiches as appetizers and sparkling water for drinks. 'Now everything is perfect.' She finished, and then looked back at the door. Putting on her best smile, she allowed herself to finally speak.

"Come in!"

((Timeskipping to Canterlot Castle))

Velvet sat on a red carpet in the middle of the throne room, examining the castle's interior and decor. Her blue eyes critically scanned the room. The castle was a marvelous splendor, with the colorful hues of purple, gold and white. The castle was very bright and welcoming, though something did not seem right to her. It had taken her a brief moment to realize what it was. It was the awful, tacky checkered flooring that spread throughout the palace. 'Ugh,' She thought, making a face of disgust. Velvet was a quiet mare, yet held strong opinions on almost everything surrounding her. It was an obsession to others, but a craft to her. Ponies must know of her wisdom for beauty. That is, if she weren't so silent. 'They could at least make the tiles a rose white! It would be more pleasing to the eyes. And this...red carpet. Why? Who, in all of Equestria, picked such an awful color?' It simply stood out horribly. It was a good thing that no other ponies were around. She could criticize all to herself. Too bad that her powers were weak in the mortal realm.

Criticizing the fashion and apparel of mortal ponies from equestria, maybe whining about the simple wooden buildings of Tasty Trees.
Maybe she's off decorating outfits or helping somepony that is praying to her for beauty.
Take your pick.

I was thinking of her criticizing the gods and the way their mindsets and creativity work. That will cause some issues, but hey, it's interaction.

It's about the gods creating there own little world or a sanctuary in the mortal world where other gods cannot use there powers.

If us gods enter the mortal realm, maybe some of our powers or abilities should be retained? Seeing as we aren't mortals.

Velvet had watched them closely, observing. She was back at home, comfortably laying on her bed, wrapped in her sheets. It was comforting for her. The crystal ball morphed itself into a circular screen in which she could watch the gods. Some had left for home and some still worked. It was a fascinating sight.
