So I tried to do the quest "Thirty Minutes or Less", but it wouldn't let me drop off the package. If I'm right, it keeps pointing me towards General Messerschmitt, but he just gives me stock dialogue. Though I may have ruined the quest anyway. In an attempt to restart the quest, I deleted the package from my inventory, with no reaction from any character.

I've also done the quest "Safely Home", which SAYS I've finished it in the journal, yet both characters still have quest markers over their heads, and the journal has three points for talking to each character colored green as though I haven't done them yet.

I've played several MMOs in my time, and there are two that stick out in my mind for how this one could go. One is bad, one is fantastic.

It all has to do with quest lines. The bad one I played (which I won't name) had quest lines for each class of character... but only up until level 20. After that point, every single class had the exact same set of quests available to them and it got dull incredibly quickly.

The fantastic one I played, which I'm perfectly happy with naming, was Star Wars The Old Republic. That game has eight available classes, and each one has its own story line til the very end of the Vanilla release, which was incredibly long. That's in addition to the quests available on each planet (aka in each area) that every class could play.

I feel going the route that SWTOR went, and having quests specific to each of the three types of Pony could be incredibly beneficial to this game. It would encourage players to make at least one character of each type of Pony to discover more about the game, and it would be a big draw for people who may not have been interested before.

Something that I think would be very helpful if integrated into LoE would be indicators over the heads of ponies that either have a quest for the player, or are a shopkeeper, and perhaps both if that exists. This is something I've seen in many MMOs and it's incredibly useful and takes a lot of guesswork out of trying to find out how to progress in the story.

For a quest marker this game, I'm thinking a question mark, perhaps colored blue or red to differentiate it from quests that have already been started by the player.

For a shopkeeper, I think a Bit floating over their head would be enough of an indicator that the pony is at least interesting. It wouldn't take long for players to figure out that Bit=shop.
