Title: Fire Emblem: Awakening
Post by: HunterOfTheDark on 2015 Apr 05, 06:05:08
Alright, I'm a little confused with Fire Emblem: Awakening. I am currently at ch. 9, and back in ch. 7, we learned that Marth is actually of the female variety, so to speak. Something she said, though, is bothering me a bit. She said that she had accomplished her mission to rewrite history. So my question to all of you is, is this a timetravel game with lots of convoluted plot points, or is there just gonna be a big time jump after I rescue Emm from Plegia?

The time travel isn't actually all that big from what I remember, but it is for some of the side quests.

Time travel is only for DLC.

Also, if you want Chrom to marry someone, you need to do it before you defeat Gangrel. Otherwise he just gets married to some random woman.

There is a slight time jump to the next plot point after Gangrel, but it's nothing big.

Also, this isn't a spoiler, just something I noticed.

"Marth" is right, she did complete her mission to change the future, but she hasn't yet gotten the result she wanted.

Remember that assassin that she defeated? It was supposed to gravely wound Chrom, now that he's dead, "Marth" did save Chrom from being injured. ;)

But, I thought "Marth" was trying to save the Exalt, not Chrom... Unless, *gasp* is Chrom HER FATHER?!?!?!? It would certainly explain why her sword is exactly the same as Chrom's, same for her fighting style.

Well, the Exalt still isn't safe, but she did succeed in changing the future.
