Dumb thing that annoys me number 388:

Most of the clothing styles nowadays seems to be going to an off-gray and subdued in their colors.  This includes hats and shoes.  While I have no problem with this, at night they fade into the background wearing the perfect shades for urban movement.  If they were wearing black, it would be much easier to see them as the black would stand out to the darker hues of the night.  When they are on bicycles without reflectors, it makes things even worse.  And, when they are walking slowly cross unlit crosswalks while paying more attention to their phones than to the traffic speeding toward that intersection...

That's what annoys me, number 388!

I had a friend in high school who was hyperkinetic.  She was always moving, always talking, and always doing things.  She also ate like a horse.  Seriously, most of the guys on the football team were surprised how much food she could put down.  I personally saw her down a full super-sized big mac meal and then eat down half of my fries (super-sized).  Did I mention that she was 5'4" and weighed about a buck even.

The reason for her weight control was that her metabolism was burning everything she ate, constantly.  She told me that her typical diet was close to 3000 calories a day.  It was her constant movement and energy levels.  However, she did not suffer from vitamin deficiency.  She ate whatever she wanted and learned to let her cravings lead her.  That's where the secret is.

In Equestria Girls, Twilight tried ordering her milkshake with extra oats.  Since when do we add oats to a milkshake?  That may be the key.  Perhaps there are certain ingredients that are regularly added to their normal diets that control the nutrition levels they require.

In addition, you should not attempt to equate your nutrition requirements with theirs.  They are ponies, you are people.  Even for ponies, their nutrition is different.  In the episode Ticket Master, Twilight orders a daffodil and daisy sandwich.  Daffodils are toxic to horses, which means their metabolism is not what we would consider normal.

The OSW is taking place at the same time as Wizard World Portland...   D:

Guess I'll have to skip one of the only times that I can actually wear my Spartan armor in lieu of playing this!!!

Okay, that was adorable.

Best part is when Buttonmash grabbed Sweetie Bell's hoof and she blushed.

I think it's so funny how the fans end up taking something so random and making a big deal about it. Like first it was the twi-scepter and and now it's the rainbow dash smirk. X3
I know, but... dat face!!!

Gharial, I do completely understand what you mean.

I am a Star Wars costumer, a Halo costumer, a Rennie, a Brony, and a Jedi.  I get it from all sides, as well.

In Star Wars costume and Halo costume, I am called names that I thought went out of style in grade school.  The only thing is, my local group raised over $300,000 for charities this year and we're planning a Christmas Eve trip to a children's hospital for the kids who can't spend Christmas at home.

At Ren Faire, when I am dressed in my home-made plate armor, I have idiots try tripping me, try taking my sword out of its scabbard, and, at one point, say "I wonder if he'll rust" before throwing a full mountain dew in my face.  And, while it felt good since I'm basically a baked potato in the sun, it took me two hours to get out of my armor, clean it, change my clothes, and get the armor back on... making me miss one of my scheduled tournament times.

Finally, I will fully admit that I am a Jedi.  Not as in costumer, but as in philosophical belief system.  I generally keep it to myself, but the few times it has come up, I have received no small amount of heck for it.  I mean, it's actually listed on my ID Tags (military dog tags) and is an officially recognized military religious preference.  However, that doesn't stop the random idiots from making fun.

So, as a brony, I don't see anything that I have not already faced.  I've been called everything under the sun (including a pedophile because I took a job as a mall Santa one year), so I don't even hear it anymore.  However, now I have found a community that is bound by something more than costumes or philosophical interpretation (believe me, there are no two Jedi who interpret things the same way).  And, since arriving, I have seen nothing more than kindness and friendship.

I am quite looking forward to this.  Will this be a stress test or will it feature something new?

Personally, I am interested to see how tomorrow's episode turns out.  If it sticks to tradition, it will be a non-story filler, and even that is fun.  But, I still want to see the flavor of the season in a non-story.

Making friends and having fun... this definitely sounds like my kind of place.  To be honest, I'm not used to that from a forum... and doubly-so from a game forum.  Thank you all!

Are you a soldier!? :D
My grandfather was a paratrooper of republic southeast asia in cold war :]
I was.  I was in the Army National Guard.  Technically, I was in supply, but I was assigned to an Infantry unit and deployed with them... twice.  I'm out now, though.  Got out in 2009.

Hi there, everypony.  My name is Flagwaver!  It's nice to meet you all.  I guess I'm supposed to say a little about myself, so I'll try not to be too long-winded.  I am a veteran, author, jedi, tank, brony.  Okay, see you on the forums!

Oh, you probably want me to explain that a little more, don't you...  Sigh... Fine!

If you can't tell from my avatar, I'm a veteran of the Army (before they started dressing like the Air Force).  I sighed up for the college money, and then stayed in for two deployments (and a college degree!).  If you can't tell, it's a part of who I am.

Author, you ask?  Well, I am a creative, but beyond that, I am more.  I am an actual published author.  Mostly, I write military science fiction, but I also try my hand at Star Wars fan fiction.  Recently, I have been collecting info and material for a year-long journal project involving My Little Pony.  Look for its coming at sunrise on the third day... I mean in my signature on the first of the year.

So, how can a guy be a Jedi in this day and age?  Well, it's easy... about four yards of raw silk, five yards of cotton, and ten yards of wool.  Mix with some leather, add a large laser-lit glow stick, and you're a Jedi (some assembly required).  I dress as a Jedi for charity and to see the expression on kid's faces.

Now, we get to the base of what I'm doing here on a game forum.  Well, I'm a tank.  Not just any tank, but a trained tank with years of experience tanking things that need tanked.  I started out on Ultima Online and have played a little of everything.  Currently, until LoE comes out, I am a Jedi (go figure) in SWTOR, doing what I love... TANKING!

As for me being a brony... Well, I are one.  A creative.

And that's me.  Hello to you all and I hope to see you around, both on the forums and in-game!

I must say, this is actually one of the best CGI fan creations I have ever seen, from any genre.  I love the beat of the music, too.

When I first saw this, I was disturbed and required teh eye bleach...

Now, I just torture my other Brony friends with it.   :D

My first experience in the MLP:FiM world comes from the 'Meet The Bronies' video on youtube.  After that, I was kind of dragged into it kicking and screaming.  Okay, more like tied to a chair and gagged.  But, after the first few episodes of season 1, I saw something special.  Unlike all of the other programming for children, this one was well animated and actually had a healthy message for the kids.

So, with that, I became a Moderate (by Meet the Bronies standards).  However, recently, I have marathoned all three seasons and the movie (that sound you heard was my former muse hanging itself) in preparation for an upcoming journal project.  Check my signature around the 1st of the year to see what I mean.

I am actually a Creative, going by the "Meet the Bronies" archetypes.  My specific genre is writing.  Besides being a published author, I also churn out Star Wars fan fiction and am taking my first crack at MLP fanfic starting the 1st.  Well, I'm getting my toes wet with a year-long journal crossover between the two (look to my signature thread after the 1st for the link).

While I do not own any of the actual figures, I do not really plan to, either.  Not because I dislike them, only that they are not truly that accurate.  On the contrary, I am looking to purchase the miniature figures because they at least look like the drawn characters do.  I just hope they do the same (miniatures) for Equestria Girls as I love the animation style there (but absolutely abhor the current figures).
