- An okay graphics card. If the computer is made after 2007, you'll be fine. The bare minimum would probably be 128 MB vram, DirectX9.0c/OpenGL2.0

- OS: Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux

Getting to CloudopolisIn order to get to Cloudopolis, you must travel via the airship in Cantermore!
If you're in Cantermore, travel up the cliff to the airship port and board your way onto the airship.
If you're starting in Ponydale, you must first go to the train station and travel to Cantermore, and then go to the airship port.
Getting to CantermoreIn order to get to Cantermore, you must travel via train from Ponydale or via airship from Cloudopolis!
If you're in Ponydale, you must travel via train. The train station is just past Sugarcane Corner.
If you're in Cloudopolis, go to the airport located high up and to the right of the main cloud.
Getting to PonydaleIf you'd like to visit the quaint little town of Ponydale, you must go by train from Cantermore.
If you're in Cloudopolis, go to the airport and get to Cantermore.
Once you're in Cantermore, simply go to the train station by by Astral Charm.
QuestingPlenty of NPCs (Non-Player Characters) need help with their tasks! Some give out special prizes if you lend them a helping hoof!
Go up to any NPC, right click, and select "Talk." NPCs have a "..." over their name.
Listen to what they have to say, and be sure to follow their instructions in order to move on in the quest.
At the end, you might get a reward for your kindness!
BattlingWatch out when going to the Evershade Forest! It's home to some scary monsters!
In order to defend yourself against the creatures you'll encounter, try using your special combat abilities!
Earth Ponies have Seismic Buck and Rough Terrain, Unicorns have Rainbow Fields and Magical Arrow, and Pegasi have Dual Cyclone and Gale! All three races have Ground Pound.
When ready, select a creature, a target reticule should appear. Attack the mob by getting in their range and selecting your skill.
When the enemy's health gets to zero, they'll faint! Don't worry though, I'm sure they can just walk it off.
PartiesIf you want to form a party with other players, you can right-click them and add them to your party!
Parties are useful for going out and exploring. You never know when you might run into monsters, and there is always safety in numbers!
TradingDo you have an interesting item that you'd like to give to a friend? Well, you can trade them!
Simply right click on your friend and hit "Trade." The other pony needs to accept your trade for it to continue.
Once accepted, you'll see a screen. Left click and add the item to the trading menu.
When both players are satisfied with the trade, they both must hit "Ready." When both players hit "Ready," a "Done" button will appear. Once both players hit the "Done" button, the trade will be completed.
Stuck Somewhere?Have no fear! No need to call the moderators! Simply type /stuck or unstuck me and you will be moved to the starting point of the map. (This will not work if you are in combat.)

I never got that, then again.. I downloaded the updater a few hours back an updated it... Did you use the updater first?
I have at least three people reporting crashes with the 64-bit Windows client. Devs, you might want to look into that

Try running as administrator. Worked for me, somewhat.

Did you try the updater that was below the game download?
Where is the teleport to Ponydale? It's definitely not in the Cantermore train station.
Edit: It also keeps saying connection timed out and kicking me to the main menu.

Well, yeah. The attack was too unexpected, but they'll have to strengthen the security system to prevent any DDoS (100% protection is not guaranteed).

Managed to log in and connect, but game crashed as soon as I got to the Character Select screen. And now I'm getting the "No character selection room running at this time" error.

This reminds me of that time FurAffinity and other big-name furry sites got shut down for daaaayyys because of a massive, random DDoS. Haters will be haters, man. It's truly sad. They think whatever it is they think of furries and bronies, yet they're immature enough to put in this kind of effort into ruining things for others. If they wanted to truly be mature, they'd just get over us. The lame thing is that despite DDoS's being illegal, it's tough to trace them to their source.
Im just wondering if there's going to be more servers opened up so this full server thing can be kicked in the flank...

I downloaded the LoE Launcher and updated through that. I found a new folder that popped up named "Game"
When I opened through that; I still was greeted with the server list still saying
"Cutie marks Downloading" Blah blah blah.

Give 'em time, DDoS attacks aren't always easy to deal with. I'm happy that the website is up and running again. For a while I thought it was just because we all hugged it and the game server too hard. I'm sure that once this day gets further along and they are sure that they won't get downed again, they will get working on more servers for us.
Wow, I actually eventually managed to get to character creation. Created a pony, while doing this face. :3 It loaded up a screen with Canterlot on it, but I couldn't see my or anyone's character. It just shown me a side-view of it. No UI shown up too. Well, at least I managed to get somewhere. Happy I've got to at least create a character.
EDIT: Apparently game client doesn't like punctuation in passwords. Now only the servers is full (ping n/a)

Cantermore's a bit iffy right now, I'd say avoid it for now if possible. Too much getting stuck on aerial view for me.

Yeah, I figured already, but still. The server can't handle all those players. We need more of them.
If they don't add more server, it doesn't really make a difference to the DDos attacks. It always adds up to it that we can't play then.

The same happens for me too. ono I try to make a new pony now and to get over the Cloudsdale route and then I go to Ponyville through the Heartlands.
I don't want to risk to enter Canterlot right now, especially if it's true what DarkSpectre says, that it only affects Canterlot.

So... are the servers working or not? I don't see the staff posting/updating on the situation...
Here's my problem, I got on the airship to Cantermore from Cloudopolis and It kept me at that overhead city view so long, I thought it crashed, so I restarted it. Now I'm having the same problem every time I try to get back on, exept back in cloudopolis.
So, I played for a little bit before the DDoS attack happened a little before 1am, but now I can't seem to get back in?
Every time I try, I get stuck at just the overview of Cloudsdale. I can't do anything, I can't see any other ponies, I can't even see my pony. I cannot see a chat box and the Escape button doesn't do anything, so I have to Alt+f4 out of the game. I've even tried to remake my pegasus. It doesn't work either. Help?

Seems like I managed to enter Ponydale, goofed around there a bit, but when I tried to go to Heartlands it got stuck in an aerial view for it. When I relogin, I am where I last was in Ponydale. Can't play my unicorn as it is always stuck in aerial view for me. Hovewer, I managed to get in as a pegasus after some tries. Flying is just amazing!
Nonetheless, thanks for such a good game LoE team! I hope you can fix the errors so that more of us can enjoy the game.
Equus server seems to be down now, and the other two servers freeze whenever I try to join them.. I get the "No response from remote host" error when trying to connect to Equus.
well at least I'm not the only one getting these issues, I'm also unable to log onto Equus (Getting the failed to connect) and logging onto the others left me frozen on an overhead view of the town.
But the character creator worked just fine, so that was good.

Hey all! We know there's a lot of problems with the game at the moment, and you can bet your behind we're working ours off to get everything working as well as it possibly can. There's been a lot of trouble for us to deal with on our end, from that rather inconvenient attack on our servers to just general massive overcrowding, but we're doing our best to sort everything out - and this kind of experience will be invaluable for later development of the game.
I just want to thank you all for being patient with us during all this. LoE, after all, is still in a pre-alpha state, and these tests are fantastic for us to get as much info as possible about the game to make sure that, when it's finished, it'll hopefully run smoothly; you are all helping us to make this game better!
In the mean time, the servers are still open, and (barring any further naughty shenanigans) should be remaining open until the planned end at 11:59pm EST on January 26th. We don't plan to extend the servers beyond that time; they're not free, after all, and everybody on the team here is a volunteer on the project, with real-life stuff to do during the week. You know, jobs and education and other sucky stuff.
Also, a quick note on waiting lists: I know they're super frustrating, but they are fairly typical for MMO games like this. i can't tell you the amount of times I had to wait for a number to tick down before I could get online, back in my WoW days! We are working on things at our end, but for now, I'm afraid you'll just have to be patient!
Sorry but I still don't really see a reason why it can't be extended for pretty much everyone since, when it comes down right to it, no one was able to play on the servers today.
Well I don't know if this is a bad start or weekend for most of us. The Reason why is that most of us didn't get a chance to play and enjoy the game like this and we have to wait for a long time to get inside the game. All We wanted was to look through the new contents and have fun with the game and test.
I'm not sure if I do agree with lostsanity, but we had 1-day extension on one of the previous open servers. If what galapagois, staff, and devs said about not extending it for 1 day, it can't be helped or extended for their own reasons.
It's really hard to tell who's on the waiting list and how long we have to get inside the game and yeah it may be frustrating.

I only got to play for less than 10 minutes as a pegasus before the server crashed on me (and that after the DDoS attack issue have been resolved). I couldn't connect/spawn after that, regardless of the race I chose. And I wanted to play as unicorn all along to begin with. I tried several times for -literally- hours and could not play. This OSW is being extremely irritating! >:( And I love this game so much! ono I've been on the waiting list for over three hours, now. THREE HOURS! And that was just my latest attempt to play. Same deal on all servers. That is... when I get to connect to other besides Equus.
As for why they can't/won't extend the OSW the reason is simple and have already been mentioned: Money. It costs money to make these servers run and they use their own money to do it. They are not paid to even make this game to begin with. :\

Well, some people clearly
were able (myself included!), at least for a while. Obviously, not many; certainly not as many as we'd like for there to have been - namely,
everyone - and we're doing our best to make sure it doesn't happen again (although there's not much in the way of protection against this kind of thing, as Sony will attest, but the server issues we CAN deal with are being looked into).
I know it's frustrating - believe me, whatever anger or disappointment you're feeling right now, times that by a thousand, and you're still nowhere near what the people who actually spent many hours of their free time after work/education building this thing up for the server event are feeling - but there's just no way we could really extend the event. Everyone on the team is an unpaid volunteer, and we all have other things to do during the week; some of us have even taken time off from work or education for this event to try and see it go as smoothly as possible. We can't really ask those people to put off their actual lives for an extra day to make up for something that was completely outside of their control, and there's definitely no way we could keep the server up and maintained properly at this point in development without them.
This has been a bit of a bad start to the weekend, and we're trying to make up for it, but there's only so much we can do! I don't want to say 'it definitely won't happen', because we might be able to manage it, but for the time being I really don't think it's likely at all.
I'm still getting stuck on the loading screen.
Fix this ridiculous "waitlist" please.
Well It seems I'm right about the bad start or weekend part. It doesn't seem like we're getting our hopes in getting 1-day extension like one of the previous open servers as i recall and it can't be helped.
I may be guessing this could be a bust for some of us that can't play and enjoy the game.
