the stroke of Midnight (my OC!)

age: Midnight doesn't know his actual age or birthday but assumes he's about 15

gender: stallion

Race: Pegasus

colors: based on the time of day, sky blue/ dark blue

Mane: spiked Mohawk (colors also based on the time of day)

Family: Midnight doesn't have a real family, but was adopted by Luna.

Gear: a full suit of armor, and a pair of wing mounted blades, but doesn't always wear them.

Personality: shy until he is comfortable with the pony talking to him, then he's quite outgoing.

Misc.: is in tune with the natural world and uses natural remedies to cure almost anything. Also due to Midnights situation, he
couldn't talk until after he came to Equestria.

Background:
Midnight was abandoned as a very young colt and left to parish in the northernmost regions of the world. Despite his youth, he managed to survive the harsh conditions, and in fact thrived thanks to the mysterious pony on the moon. The pony on the moon served as a guardian to midnight and in some cases, even as a mother. One way the mysterious pony helped midnight was after becoming injured, the moon shined a ray of light on a plant of some sort that seemed to have numbing properties. This also helped midnight begin the search for his cutiemark.
He began right away to become in tune with nature starting with the flower the pony on the moon led him to, and continued when he noticed faint patterns in the plant life. He also learned the effects of certain plants my simply smelling them. In doing so he could create natural remedies for any aliment he may have encountered while in the harsh environment.
When he learned to fly, he struggled at first due to the high winds and still immature wings. When he became accustomed to flying for short periods of time at low altitudes, he decided he would push himself and take on the winds in the higher atmosphere. Continuing to push him self, he began trying to mimic a mysterious pegasus who created strange lights at night (northern lights) after close contact with him, midnight learned that to create the lights, he had to do something called a lunar nightboom (the sonic rainboom equivalent) which required a lot of speed and agility. He spent his time practicing and rapidly developed his abilities due to his enthusiasim. Before he knew it, he could near-instantly pull off a nightboom, and in midflight, he could corner without losing speed or the trail. He learned this by weaving through dense forests. In doing this Midnight finished becoming in tune with the natural world by utilizing the knowledge of nature that he had gathered to successfully maneuver the extremely hazardous forest and come out unscathed and gained his cutiemark (a leaf).
While out exploring one day, Midnight found a frozen pony wearing a full suit of armor and a pair of wing blades. Unsure what to do, midnight claimed the gear as his own figuring he would find a use for it some day, or if nothing else at least give him a possession to call his own.
   Unfortunately, during one of his flights at age 13, he was assaulted by a clan of vampires and taken as cattle. He spent two years in pain and agony as the clan used his body for blood. Rage developed over that period of time until he finally had enough of being the life source of the parasites. In a display of his furry, he broke free and fought the clan off in an attempt to escape. In a not so pathetic fight, he was finally subdued and imprisoned once again, but instead of becoming cattle again, the clan leader thought his abilities would serve the clan well and decided to make midnight one of them, whether Midnight wanted to be or not.
   Only completing part of the ritual, midnight escaped again with the help of the pony on the moon who tuned out to be Luna and ran for his life. Because the ritual wasn't completed, Midnight didn't get the full extent of the abilities that vampires have, but at the same time, instead of burning in the sun, his coat changes colors between a sky blue, which was his original color, and a dark blue, and his physical attributes are enhanced making him stronger and yet even faster then before. The downside of the ritual is that midnight still has a need for blood to survive.
   Luna, having grown attached to midnight over the years from treating him like her son, and also feeling responsible for not being able to make it to him in time to prevent the ritual, instructed midnight to come to Equestria when it was safe and the clan had ceased hunting him, because that was where she could be found and she would claim midnight as her son and prince of the night. After that he spent about two years learning how to use the wing blades from practicing and real experience as he defended himself from the clan.  Towards the end of the two years, the attacks became less frequent. Eventually, Midnight felt it was safe enough for him to leave without the risk of leading the clan to Equestria. Both he and Luna were overjoyed when they were reunited. now Midnight now lives in Canterlot with Luna, or can be found in Ponyville or the Everfree forest where he feels comfortable in the natural surroundings..
   Due to the lack of social interaction for 15 years and fear of being exiled if someone found out about his curse, Midnight seems very shy until he feels comfortable with the pony interacting with him. He also never learned to talk as a foal, so his vocal chords went unused and only matured after Luna used magic to restore his ability of vocal communication. He spends a lot of time flying and loves it! As is, he can beat Rainbow Dash in a race and knows it, but doesn't care to prove it. Why show off when you could keep improving? aside from that it would draw unwanted attention to himself, and that's the last thing he wants.

Okay, a summary.

Abandoned on a snowfield to die.
Watched over by Luna, who is on the moon.
Knows what plants do by smelling them. The plants that grow in the snowfield.
Faster than Rainbow Dash. Can perform a Sonic Rainboom equivalent.
Took a full suit of armor and wing mounted blades from a frozen pony.
Was ponynapped by vampires. Became half-vampire before escaping.

It's a great story, but it doesn't quite "fit in" with Equestrian ponies. Granted he is not originally from Equestria. Still... a lot of this seems to be random and unlikely from a common sense standpoint. I doubt ponies abandon other ponies to die. I doubt Luna would protect this young filly, but allow a pony in armor to freeze solid. I doubt a pony growing up in a desolate snowfield and whose special talent is herblore is going to become faster than Rainbow Dash, whose cutie mark symbolizes her speed. I doubt a pony who could break the sound barrier would voluntarily stay in a desolate snowfield for any longer than he had to. I doubt wing mounted blades even exist, same with vampires.

There's probably more. You do have quite an imagination, though, which is admirable. You'll need to refine it a bit.

midnight actualy has a much larger and in depth story. Also, this is the wrong version. I ment to post a revised version that I recently. take for example the reason midnight was dumped was because the leader of the same clan that ponynaped him was his father and demanded he be gotten rid of because he didnt want midnight. eventualy this leads into a much larger story that I was trying to shorten to post.
Midnight is a lot more complex then I should have made him. theres actually probably too much to put on here to make his story make sence.
