This is cute. Also a unique way to introduce your OCs to the forums.  ^-^

The RP is here. http://forum.legendsofequestria.com/index.php?topic=13180.0

:D

Make sure to be descriptive.

Character sheet

Name: What's your character's name?
Species: They can be a pony or a different race. (Griffons, changelings, etc.)
Gender: What's your character's gender?
Age: How old is your character? Canonically, the Mane Six are in their late teens.
Bio: Write a bit about your character. What's their personality? Do they have a backstory?
Other: You can mention details unimportant to the bio here, such as their dislikes and likes. Things such as occupation and special abilities can be listed.
Appearance: Post a picture or describe your OC.

-If your character is a unicorn or a pegasus, they can use their abilities in place of certain supplies (i.e. using your horn to light a room instead of a lantern, casting spells to make supplies, flying instead of using ladders to get to high places).
-Earth ponies have the most stamina and speed. This can play to their advantage.

Bonus:

Want to create a character just for this RP? You can come up with them on your own, or use these resources.

Premise

You wake up, and find that you are in a house. It is a dark, cold place... seemingly, a long abandoned one.  You have no idea how you got here.

From time to time, strange noises echo around the premises. Some of them don't sound like they come from ponies. It puts you on edge, and still, you can't help but explore the building, surviving on what supplies you can find. There's got to be a way out, after all. You just haven't found it.

Summary

This is a horror/suspense RP. As such, dark situations will occur.

Your character wakes up alone in an abandoned, old manor house. They can hear strange noises from time to time, but ever so often they will hear the noises and/or voices of the characters belonging to other RPers. Your character's goal is to find everyone, get together, and look for a way out. On top of that, they must figure out how and why they ended up inside it.

(So... yeah. Basically Amnesia, but with ponies. Or the Castle Mane-ia ep of MLP. xd)

Things in the manor

Rooms

There are many rooms your character can explore. Examples include bedrooms, cellars, armories, hallways, dining rooms, ballrooms, cellars... just to name a few. Basically anything you can think of.

Supplies can be found in some of the rooms. That also goes for monsters.

Supplies

Items that your character can use to their advantage. Think things like torches, candles, spellbooks, saddlebags, fuel... etc.

Whenever they find supplies, it will happen at random. Please don't make it so that your OC finds supplies that often.  It would make it way too easy for them to survive. On top of that, unless they come across something like a saddlebag, they won't be able to carry too many things at once.

Monsters

Grotesque, frightening creatures that wander the premises. They can be a species featured in the show, or something of your own creation. These shouldn't be like the talking villains on the show, though.

Characters will come across monsters randomly, like supplies. Again, it shouldn't happen very often. This will add suspense, as well as to the horror aspect of the RP.

If an OC doesn't have enough supplies and isn't strong enough to attack the monster, they should run away (it will follow them). Their pursuers will eventually give up if the character runs far enough. They can also hide before it enters a room.

Twilight nodded and began focusing her concentration on Blue's markless flank. She considered saying something, but Blue seemed to be doing well on her own.

As magic began to swirl around her horn, she recited one of the spells that had (quite literally) saved the Mane 6's hides not so long ago.

"From all of us together, together we are friends. With the marks of our destinies made one, there is magic without end."

The alicorn hoped it wouldn't matter that the spell was meant for several ponies instead only one. On top of that, she hadn't been the reason Blue's cutiemark had vanished in the first place, and there was no telling whether it had been swapped or not.

Twilight Sparkle used risky magic spell! It was super effective!WHOOPS WRONG RP

The spell reached it's peak and Twilight let loose, firing it at her target. Blue Star was enveloped in a sparkling pink light, and rose into the air.

Entranced by her results, the princess waited for the flash of insight that had come with every restored cutiemark... but it never did. Blue fell back to the ground, landing with a muffled thud as the spell dissipated. Her flanks were still blank.

Twilight's face fell. "I- I thought it would work!"

"Guess not, huh?" Spike cut in, watching almost as intently as Twilight had. In answer to Checkmate's request, he had taken the book everypony else had gotten off the shelves.

"Hmm... well, we didn't have any elements of harmony to work with. And at least I didn't end up in a ethereal plane this time," Twilight said, trying to make the best out of the situation. She looked at Blue.

"Remember what I said before? We have a plan b, if you're still up for it."

(Sorry for the inactivity, guys! I'm back now tho.

-A minor complaint, but could we please move the RP along faster? I'd hoped we'd be out of Twilight's library by now.
-Checkmate, Spike was talking to your character.)

"Be as it may, the effects of the curse sound like a dead ringer for what happened to you," Twilight replied. She recalled various hexes, curses, and spells, hoping to find something similar to what Blue Star had described. She found no answers, however, except for one.

"Well... desperate times call for desperate measures..." the princess muttered, turning to address the tiny unicorn before her. "Blue Star, I was thinking. I could try to perform the spell that returned my friends' cutiemarks to normal on you. It was successful, and I even landed a position as an alicorn with it," she said hurriedly, hoping to avoid straining Blue's nerves even further, "so I have reason to believe that it'll work."

"But if it doesn't, then there's one other thing we could try."
7

Saw this on the Furaffinity forums, and I thought it'd be fun to play here.

https://forums.furaffinity.net/threads/130736-Cavalcade-of-Characters

How to play:

1. A user will post a criteria for a fictional character.

Quote from: example
Give me a shy character who is cute.

2. The user who posts after them will post a picture of a character who fits that criteria.

Then they'll do the same thing as the above poster, except with different characteristics.

Quote from: example

Spoiler: show

Fluttershy. The most adorable pony ever! <3

Give me a male character who is a king.

3. And so on.

-

Other

1. It must be a fictional character.
2. The character doesn't have to be a pony, although you are allowed to post them. It can be human, a different animal... etc.

I'll start.

Give me a character who is a mage.

(I didn't say you had to, Grizzly. You've done nothing wrong.  :s

I just wish the people who only write like one sentence would write more.)

"Oh. Well, what books do you want?" Spike asked.

-

"Oh... uh... heh..." Twilight mumbled, unsure of how to handle Blue's sudden breakdown. She settled for an awkward pat on the unicorn's back, attempting to comfort her. "It's okay, Blue Star. Don't worry."

The princess straightened up, regaining her confident composure. "You know, a lot of ponies would do the same thing in your position. And while the dark arts are looked down upon, they aren't taboo... that doesn't mean you should continue practicing them though."

-

"Yeah," Zakona nodded. "It really is good." She then considered Brown's offer. "Sure, uh... could you make me a striped scarf?" It may have been a little redundant, but she had more than enough toys and she didn't need a blanket. Zakona looked at the assortment of yarn the mare had brought out. "Blue and black."

(This is basically the scarf she wants. http://www.toofastonline.com/images/Product/large/17377.jpg)

She wondered how long it would take. Perhaps it would be assembled in record time, given that it seemed to be Brown's talent? Or maybe it would take awhile. The capony had no clue.
12
((That's alright, Grizzly. I kinda wish people would write more than a few sentences, though. They wouldn't have to do it all the time, but it's awkward being one of the only active members of the RP who writes paragraphs.))

"Blue Star, huh? That's a pretty name," Twilight commented. Her serious air then returned. "I'm sorry if I'm making you uncomfortable, but this is really important. Magic could very well be the cause of your dilemma, and it doesn't seem like the spells you mentioned could do something like make your cutiemark disappear."

"It's not a matter of life or death, and the fate of Equestria doesn't depend on it. I know that. But you depend on it, and I can tell how important it is to you. I want to help you in any way I can, Blue Star." The princess gazed at her reassuringly. "But it seems like you left something out when you mentioned the spells, and we need any lead we can get."

"Please, Blue. I need you to tell me what that was. If you did, it'd help me." She looked back at the other ponies in the library. "It'd help us all."

-

Spike greeted the new unicorn. "Hey there! Welcome to Golden Oaks Library." He pointed to the alicorn. "The pony who runs it is Twilight Sparkle. I'm Spike, her assistant!"

Twilight chuckled at hearing him get into it. "If you need either of us, just ask. I'm talking to someone right now, but I'd be happy to help you out."
13
"Oh, uh... you're welcome. And thanks," Zakona murmured, taking the bear from Brown. She was glad that she hadn't screwed up that badly.

She was pretty old for stuffed animals, and she hadn't played with them in years. Well, excluding the ones in her room, and the two she slept with at night... but then again, they only served as knicknacks and comfort objects. Not things she played with, and never something she'd really want to tell anyone about.

Zakona stared at Bently, unsure what to do with him. Soon, she made up her mind and slowly squeezed him to her chest. The toy was soft and its plush white fur wasn't only comforting, but also a mark of good craftsmanship. It took her back to the days when she was a little filly, much happier and outgoing than she would become, and having an arsenal of toys at her disposal was just an average part of her day.

She really missed that.

Smiling softly, Zakona passed the bear back. She felt at ease and had calmed down enough for her awkwardness to nearly disperse. "Bently's really well made."

Remembering what Brown had said about the scarf, the capony looked at her. "Really? The one you're wearing looks pretty good too, but... if you say so."

-

"Spike, could you get that?" Twilight requested. Spike nodded and hurried to get the door. He opened it, only to reveal yet another unicorn without a cutiemark.

The dragon stared at the newcomer for a moment. "You know... somehow, this really doesn't surprise me anymore."

The little unicorn seemed to pause before finishing her sentence, as if there was yet another thing she was uncomfortable with revealing. Twilight considered her next move carefully. "Okay... I need you to answer me honestly... uh...

"...What's your name? I don't think I caught it before."
14
"A unicorn's magic pertains to their cutiemark. I think it's highly probable that you had something to do with it," Twilight replied.  "But the swap only occurred when I read Star Swirl's spell out loud. Maybe one of the spells you cast made your cutiemark disappear?"
15
Brown seemed much more amiable than the blue unicorn. Although, to be fair, if Zakona was in such an intimidating position she probably would have acted the same way.

The capony decided to go talk with Brown. She put down Treasure Trove and, rather warily, trotted over to where Brown was sitting. She wasn't sure how the mare would react, and she hoped it wouldn't be with malice.

She stood there, unsure of what to say for a moment. Then something came to her. "I think Brown is pretty cute, as far as names go. But who knows? Maybe your cutiemark will provide an even better one." Embarrassment suddenly waxed, and confidence waned with it. She hoped that she hadn't brought up a touchy subject, especially if the thing about the name was all Brown wanted to reveal.

"Um," she babbled, floundering. "T-that's a nice scarf you have there!"

Oh shoot. I fudged up. I have fudged the fudge up. I have fudged up harder than ever. There are no words to describe how badly I have fudged up. But I did. I fudged up.

I could cover walls with fudge to show for it. I have eaten all the fudgesicles in the world. And I have fudged up.

-

"You're welcome, Brown," Spike replied, eying Zakona oddly. "Well, it looks like you're good for books, so I'm just gonna... you know... go over there. Call me if you need anything!" He backed away from the two, perhaps, to escape the sheer awkwardness of it all.

Meanwhile, Twilight was pondering the little blue mare's question. She began to pace once more, recounting the events that had lead up to her coronation.

"My friends got their marks mixed up because of me. My mentor, Princess Celestia, tasked me with making sense of a spell Star Swirl the Bearded wrote." She looked at the unicorn. "He was a powerful unicorn who created various spells, each more amazing than the last." The alicorn mare smiled wistfully, and her admiration for the sorcerer was clear. After a bit, she stopped reminiscing and continued on. "The magic the princess wanted me to decipher was something Star Swirl had never been able to finish. I read it out loud, and that was what changed my friend's cutiemarks as well as their talents." Despite how chaotic the event had been, Twilight found herself holding it in a relatively positive light. It had been quite an interesting challenge to fix everything, and the fact that she had been able to do so was an accomplishment not to be taken lightly.

"Fortunately, I finished the spell, and things went back to normal. After that, Princess Celestia told me what I had done was my final task, and enough to achieve princesshood." She glanced at her wings, unfolding one for emphasis. "You might be right. Somepony or someone may have used a spell that took away your cutiemark."

"Of course, there are other possibilities," Twilight said, facing the little pony again. "Maybe you have something like the cutie pox, or you ran into some poison joke. But you shouldn't worry."

"We have a solution, if you'd like to hear it."
16
Sensing the unicorn's distress, Twilight formulated a distraction to get Spike out of the way. Her visitor seemed to only want to talk to her, after all, and the extra attention wasn't helping. "Spike, could you... help her find some books on patterns?" She requested, nodding at the brown unicorn. "If you can't find any, go stop by Rarity's place."

Spike saluted and padded over to her. "Yes ma'am!"

Satisfied, Twilight faced the tiny unicorn in front of her. "Sorry about my assistant. He can be a little... overbearing at times."

"I heard that!" Spike growled behind her. Twilight giggled, only to stop short when she noticed how fearful and uncomfortable the blue pony seemed. "We have books on cutiemarks. Unfortunately, they don't talk about things like getting your cutiemark late, or in your case, disappearing ones."
17
"Okay. Well, in case you don't know, I'm Spike. I'm Twilight's assistant," the dragon said. He had never seen these ponies before, but, judging from the look on Twilight's face, she had.

"Oh," the princess gasped, realization dawning. "I have seen you before! We pass each other nearly every summer, but I've never stopped to acknowledge you... sorry." She stared at the unicorn mare incredulously. "Your... cutiemark disappeared? That's really strange. I mean... how does something like that even happen?"

-

Hurriedly, Zakona turned to Treasure Trove again. She had been staring at the newcomers, and didn't want to make everyone feel as uncomfortable as she did on a daily basis.

Her cutiemark disappeared? How did that happen?
she wondered, bewildered by the turn of events.
18
"I bet I can guess what that is," Spike chimed in. He had overheard a whisper Twilight had to strain to catch, and she grimaced. From the look of the tiny unicorn and the urgency of her statement, this was something that she was obviously not comfortable with sharing. But, since her assistant hadn't meant any harm by it, Twilight decided to let it go. She turned to the timid mare and smiled. "You've come to the right place."

"Don't worry. You're not alone here. The others don't have their cutiemarks yet, but we've been looking for a way to solve that. And we found one, if you can believe it!" She looked at Zakona and the gang. "In fact, they're reading up on that right now."

An apologetic grin crossed Spike's face. "Heh... sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable." He turned to the two newcomers, attempting to hold a conversation. "Uh, what're your names? I don't think we've seen you around town before."

-

There were two more ponies without cutiemarks.

Zakona noted this in silent awe. She had expected more customers, but not ones who arrived with the same goal she'd had in mind.

Is this fate, or am I just going crazy?

Probably the latter.

She didn't really know what was going on, or whether this would end once she left the library. But she realized that she wasn't as alone as she had originally thought.
19
"It's like you cast a Want-it Need-it spell on this place, Twilight!" Spike exclaimed, rushing to get the door. Twilight smiled, turning to face the new visitors. "Heh... you're right, Spike. It is a lot like that."

Two new unicorns were standing in the doorway. The blue mare looked quite apprehensive, although the other seemed to be in a good mood.  The princess addressed the brown one first. "Yes, we're open. And we have some. Feel free to look around... or you two can join Electric, Razor, and Zakona over there," she said jovially, waving a hoof in the trio's direction.

"You know, Twilight, I'm surprised you didn't mention Rarity. Doesn't she have a ton of books on patterns?" Spike asked. The alicorn nodded. "Yeah, Spike, but where do you think she got them from?"

"Ohhhh," he said, glancing at the bookshelves around them. "Point taken."
20
(Sorry for taking so long I've just been really busy etc. etc.)

Zakona blinked. "Uh... how long is this? Think I should skip ahead, guys?"
