Geez, Chish lives in Texas too?  How many people do I know here that live in Texas, wow...
62
...Well crap.

I was gonna ask if you had a good sleep, but...  lol
How about this then, did you have a sleep that was restful in under 8 hours?
63
[As I affectionately recall, you were very fond of personal monologues back in the day, Plat.]

You live in Colleyville? I live in Hurst. How convenient.

I live a little north of Colleyville, but that doesn't stop anyone from worrying about it anyway.  X3
And yeah, I actually welcomed you to Texas on this very thread the first time you told us you moved.  ^-^
65
Best way to kill time.
66
I'm the same.  If I don't have anything planned for the day, there's a good chance I'll be in bed for quite a while.

That reminds me...Colleyville has been having a string of daytime break ins.
Apparently whoever it is waits for no one to be home, then kicks the back door open.
68
Darnit...Do you have soup to eat?  And also are you resting when you can?
69
Nahhhh, I'd rather ask you if you're feeling better from being sick.
Are you feeling any better?
70
[Looks like I'll have to wait and see.]

...Quiet hoofsteps hit the pavement as a figure left the bushes.  A sign loomed above the hooded stallion, reading:  City Limit.
The mare he'd been following...He hadn't expected her to leave the city.  That was farther than he could go right now.
But it hadn't been a complete loss...Something lay trampled on the ground just passed the sign...It was a blanket.
"..."  Common Cents lowered his hood, and scooped up the blanket.
He looked at it for a moment.  The spots where it had been stepped on were dirty, but it looked cleanable.
Folding it, he stuffed it into his bag.

After taking a quick glance around, he quietly raised his hood, and walked back into the bushes.
71
[I suppose...That's the difference between White and Predestine.  When White was offered a family, he didn't run away.]
72
...Huh.
I could have sworn I'd accepted Sheer Luck.

SHEER LUCK ACCEPTED
73
White lowered his hoof, watching her walk away.
"...See you later, Card-mare."
At least she's got something to keep her warm.

...Then he began making his way back home.
74
White stood in a similar fashion.  "As far as I know, any day works for us.  So I suppose you can crash at our house whenever it is you get back from the other town."
He extended a hoof to take the blanket once it was folded.
75
"Perhaps...I just hope they don't hold grudges as hard as I can."  White chuckled.
He then glanced in her direction.  "What are you thinking about?"
76
White smiled, softly.  "Jade is similar, though I believe she's a bit younger."
"...I've...missed out on a lot, working at the store."  A small amount of regret crossed his face.
Just remember it's for them...My life, for theirs.
77
White cleared his throat.  "That's enough of the past, let's talk about the present."
"What's your daughter like?"  He was too curious about whether Jade would get along with her.
There's always Perry too, once he's old enough to make friends.
78
White looked to the waves, they were soothing for him.
"Your father sounds very wise."
He suddenly wished he had something to drink, cursing himself for not thinking to bring something.
"Our folks probably would have liked eachother.  My dad painted, was yours a farmer?"
With that last question, he looked over to her only to see the effect this conversation was having.
Rather quickly, he wished he hadn't brought it up, but it was too late to take it back now.
79
White smiled anyway.  "I was the opposite.  Grew up in the city, not much nature there."
"...At least, up until I ran away from home."  His smile dropped in favor of a more grim expression.
"You don't typically see the best of people in that kind of environment."

The smile returned quickly.
"But I don't think about that anymore.  'The past is concrete, the present is fluid, and the future is an enigma.  Make use of the present while it's still pourable.'
...My dad liked to tell me that.
"
White thought briefly on his father's favorite phrase.  It had still managed to stick with him through the years.
80
White looked over to his companion with a look of confused wonder.
"I'd toast to that, if I only had a drink.  Couldn't have said it better myself."
He was being genuine.  In most all of his travels during his time as Fantaisie, he'd never met someone who shared his views.
He loved Sweet because she was one of the only ones who came close to proving him wrong about ponies.
"Though I confess I don't enjoy nature quite as much as you do."
