Writing / Wouldn't Change a Thing

3650 Days like sand through our hands,
521 Weeks like the breeze through our hair,
120 Months like the sun on our skin,
10 Year, like the clouds rolling in.
All that uncertain time, ten years of wanting more,
I couldn't close that door.
Now it's come and I couldn't want it less,
but I wouldn't change a thing.
All that hurt to stop regretting, or forgetting it was worth it.
And now it's dulling, healing finally,
And with it gone so goes the memory.
Still, I wouldn't change a thing.
It clung and scraped, that grief,
All just to survive ten years.
It died with hope just in reach,
but not so far as the beach.
10 Years, til the clouds rolled in.
10 Years, til the door slammed closed.
10 Years, and my tired on the road.
And I wouldn't change a thing.

A dream trampled through Peridot's mind. It ruined and dirtied his thoughts with images and sounds he didn't wish to sense. The vague imprint of his sister, the brief echo of a yell, an ill-obtained item in his hooves. The boy was afraid, but not of anything he could settle on. It disturbed him enough to make his small body twitch in his sleep.
Soon Peridot's growing imagination could dwell on it no longer, and he woke with his small heart beating too fast. Immediately, his eyes darted in every direction, searching for his sibling. Breathing labored, he saw her on the back of his mother a ways behind him. Peridot calmed almost entirely. Settling his small snout back on his fathers neck, he let out a small huff. He found comfort in the scent of his family.
White glanced back to his foal just as he did moments before, only to see the boy once again settling back down. The father stopped, setting his basket down on the ground.
"We're almost there, Perry. Are you ready to see our friends?" White knew he wouldn't get an answer, but he asked regardless. He looked forward, noticing they had quite nearly arrived. White picked his basket back up, glancing behind him at his wife and daughter.

Whitewash moved at a leisurely pace down the road to the beachside. The cause of his turtle-like movement was the object sleeping quietly on his back. White didn't want to wake his infant son, Peridot. The foal was still small. Growing, but small. He still needed sleep on a regular basis, especially his evening naps.
The father smiled, though only slightly. He carried a basket in his mouth containing a small bit of confection he'd baked the previous day. White hoped it wasn't too stale, he had covered it as best he could. He glanced back at his child with unnecessary concern, as if suddenly afraid the boy wouldn't be there as soon as he checked, but as always Peridot was safe riding on his fathers back.
Right where you should be.

For the love of Akatosh and all the Eight and One, play The Elder Scrolls on PC.
I don't care which one you play, play it on PC. Fan patches, mods, developer support, additional features like Waiting, I cannot begin to tell you how much you want these.
Being able to use the Wait function to pass time so your Companion can catch up to you is just...Just beautiful.
Please. Take it from me, the PC Gamer. You want to play on PC.

If I could suggest something, it would be the highly unpopular activity known only as exercise.
By exercising, you'll take up quite a lot more energy than you would normally. Your body might force a nightly shut-down at that point, bud.
As a side bonus, you'd get totally ripped.

You should try playing on Critical, like my brother and I did once. You will have a heck of a time.
