I imagine I might have a little trouble with seams, and I'm likely going to have trouble with making the eyes and cutie marks.

My mom's not gonna waste money by getting a different antivirus like Kapersky, until our Norton subscription finishes. It still has about 120 days on it, and this is how it acts?! I dunno what I just got!
I'm sitting here on Youtube, and all of a sudden, a little Norton window comes up saying it was analyzing libGLESv2.dll. I freaked out like "What?! Nonononono, what is that?! Stop, stop, nononono." And then it said it's safe, and I'm like "NO, it might NOT be safe!" Then, it comes up with another one saying libEGL.dll is safe, and I'm like "WHAT is going ON?!"
What just happened?

I might play Second Life again if I can get it to where it doesn't lag too terribly. Considering my computer isn't exactly new, the main problem I had with SL is lag, and quite a bit of it. So I'd like some help and tips on how to have it run better.
The only specs I know for my desktop computer are the ones I found in System Properties:
Intel Celeron CPU
420 @ 1.60 GHz
1.60 GHz, 504 MB of RAM
I don't really know what most of that means, and I don't know how to find out specs about my graphics card or 3D card or anything like that.
I think whatever help I get on making Second Life run better might help me run other multiplayer online games better too, right?

Everyone has foods they dislike, and I suppose some people have drinks they just plain don't like too. So, let's hear it!
Food:
- Corn
- Ham
- Most Italian food, like lasagna and ravioli. Not counting desserts, since 1. I've never tasted an Italian dessert, 2. They look wonderfully delicious.
- Sauerkraut
- Cooked spinach
- Asparagus
- Strawberry ice cream. It does not taste like strawberry at all.
- Cooked broccoli, except when it's covered in a delicious sauce
- Fried chicken
- Tomato
- Carrot
- Coconut
- Cheese, in a lot of cases
- Cantaloupe
- Bologna. Most lunch meat, actually. Though, I do quite like pastrami.
- Chicken and dumplings. The dumplings part and the disgusting gooey sauce the dumplings make.
- Chili-cheese anything
- Pretty much most vegetables that aren't leafy
- Avocado, and as a result, guacamole
- Cucumber
- Licorice
Drink:
- Strawberry milk. Same reason as strawberry ice cream. It's just gross.
Condiments and sauces:
- Gravy
- Salad dressing of any kind
- Mayonnaise

I just almost did a stupid thing that once resulted in an accident and new oven mits, so I decided there should be a thread where we tell stories of dumb things we've done that led to accidents.
I'll start. One day, I was going to cook something on the stove, but instead of turning on the Left Front burner, I accidentally turned on the Left Rear burner. Our oven mits were touching the Left Rear burner, and I didn't realize what happened until they started smoking. At first, I smacked them on the counter like people do in movies, but then I remembered how much I said how stupid they were for not using the sink, so I turned on the sink and stuck them under the water.
And that was the day I almost burned our kitchen down with oven mits.
Fire retardant =/= Fire proof.

There's a script for MSN called Battler, and my friends and I used to use it a lot, but I don't have it anymore and can't seem to get it. I'm putting this in Video Games because basically, the script is a game like Pokemon, only you get to choose anything. Anything.
First, both people have to have Battler active. Someone types "ichal" or "I challenge you" and the script activates and says who goes first.
The player can type "I choose you" for it to pick a random pokemon, or type any pokemon name or random thing, and their pokemon will be named that. So you could battle with anything, even a chair.
The script assigns your thing a random amount of HP and a random type, if you chose something other than an actual pokemon. And you can make up attacks, and heal your pokemon. So, you could have Chair use Splinter or something!
Man, I miss Battler. I wonder if there's anything like it somewhere else, maybe something that doesn't require me to use MSN to play it.

I think more video games need the option to create your own multiplayer levels. It's so fun, y'know? And it can shake things up, instead of having to play the same ol' official levels over and over.
How many games have create-your-own levels, anyway? I think Portal 2 now has a thing that lets you create test chambers for other people to play. A lot of skateboarding games let you create your own parks.
I made a checker board of death skate park once in a Tony Hawk game.
It was kind of a checkers board with squares of grass and pits that contained lava or spikes. I made it specifically for the multiplayer games that involved kind of tagging each other. It was challenging because you had to keep jumping around and try not to fall in a pit.

Who else here has a Gaia account? I've had mine for years.
Right now, the Rejected Olympics event is going on. I joined Durem, as I always do. I just like their flag. The last event I remember actually participating in was the Halloween event that was Sentinel vs Overseer. I remember things were pretty close through most of it. At the end, Overseer's team thought they were gonna win, but then bam, Sentinel's team performed a mass sacrifice to boost our points well past Overseer's!
(I was on Sentinel's team)
Also, guys. I accidentally found out something interesting. When you dress up your avatar, save, and then copy and paste the larger image it shows of your avatar somewhere, the next time you change your avatar's outfit, that image you pasted somewhere else will change too.
So now, I just remake my avatar on tektek.org and copy and paste that image instead.

The thread's title should be self-explanatory. I wanna see humanized ponies. But I don't want something in here that will cause the mods to have to clean up. As such, here are some rules:
1. Keep it appropriate. You should know this.
2. I don't wanna see anyone questioning why (ponyname) is (race) or why (ponyname) is (bodyfigure/overweight). I've seen enough of that on Facebook. It's irritating, and it makes you look like a bigot when you shout "(ponyname) isn't (race)! I don't agree with this!" Love and tolerate other people's headcanons please.
I actually trust that you guys would already obey rules 1 and 2, but I have to say them anyway.
3. Also, if you quote a picture, please spoiler it or something, especially if it's big. Some of us don't want to see the same picture over and over on a page because of quotes.

Personality: She's a robot, but she doesn't know. (Yes, she's inspired by Sweetiebot.) She loves to travel and explore, and she often thinks about the world around her. She's not very good at swimming, but she sometimes tries to anyway. She hopes that someday, she'll be able to explore underwater and perhaps go beyond the sun and the moon into what she calls Beyond Land (Space). Sometimes, she doesn't realize if she's being awkward or if another pony finds her strange. She just wants to befriend ponies.
Likes: Adventure!
Dislikes: Things that make her error.
I also can't figure out a good cutie mark for her. Maybe something with a fancy compass, since she loves traveling and exploring.

Electricity, so fun yet dangerous - how exciting!
About: Although she has the typical job of being a weather pony, she loves it. Changing the weather is often fun, especially when she gets to stir up a storm. However, as much as she loves her job, she looks forward to having time off. After all, when she isn't working, she keeps an eye out for anything interesting or exciting. She is always looking forward to her next adventure. Of course, with a friend like Mystique Mage, there's always a good chance for adventure or excitement. Rather than admiring the Wonderbolts, she has her eyes set on Daring Do. That's obvious, right? She dreams of someday going on a true Daring Do-like adventure. On calmer, less eventful days, she spends her time writing in her journal about adventures she and her friends went on, wandering town, or cloud watching.

Predictability is not my forte.
About: For some odd reason, she seems to have never outgrown the "magic surge" stage of foalhood. Some of the other ponies in her class teased her about this, when she was a filly. She received her cutie mark the day that she finally put away her shame and accepted it. Now, she works as an enchanter, enchanting appliances and charging some appliances' "batteries" with magic. Even in adulthood, her magic is unpredictable. Dealing with the randomness of her horn has taught her to try to look at some things with a somewhat humorous attitude and look on the bright side of things. Although she doesn't have the same enthusiasm for adventure as Flash Strike, she tends to join her and sometimes even causes adventures. But, as much as she loves spending time with her friend, nothing beats a nice relaxing day on the town, living like a normal pony.
Likes: Shopping.
Dislikes: Hot baked goods, as she has had incidents with them.

About: Despite being born deaf, Silent Sky lives a relatively normal life as a glass maker. With absolutely no noises to distract her, she is able to create objects from glass with an intense amount of focus. She runs her own shop in Ponyville, not only selling her services, but also selling works of art that she has lovingly crafted.
(Still haven't quite figured out how exactly she communicates.)
Likes: Rainbows and the way that light interacts with certain things like water and prisms.

I'm not, right? I'm pretty sure I'm not. See, sometimes I get emails from Microsoft (though my inbox says it's from Xbox). I got one with a promotional code in it, which I can use to get 160 Microsoft Points for free to put toward getting the Dawnguard DLC for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
I'm pretty sure it's legitimate. What I'm wondering is, how and why did I get it?

Apparently, Xbox360s use technology that's patented by Motorola. In other words, Microsoft infringed Motorola's copyright on said technology. The judge in charge of the Microsoft vs Motorola dispute suggests that Xbox360s stop being sold.
Why didn't I hear about this before? Does anyone know if they decided whether or not Xbox360 sales and imports will be banned? Seems GameStop is still selling them. But legal issues tend to take a while to be resolved, don't they?

I just started wondering how many other people here have seen the original concepts of the mane six and how they transformed into the ponies we know now. There's even a picture floating around the Internet showing the course of their transformation and including Lauren Faust's original art of them.

- Pinkie Pie's first real line of the whole show was the name of the pegasus she originally would've been: "Surprise!"
- They passed Pinkie's wings over to Fluttershy, but Fluttershy still has a connection with animals like an earthpony. Also, maybe this is why she isn't good at flying.
- Firefly was Faust's favorite pony. G3 Rainbow Dash was a girly fashionista, but Faust wanted her to have Firefly's tomboy personality.

Yep, that's right. Annoying Orange got a show on Cartoon Network. It's alright, and Toby "Tobuscus" Turner plays the only human, Nerville. Some episodes are even gonna feature him doing his famous dancing during credits, while others will show his bloopers.

So yeah, they both tend to play RPGs and such similar games, and my dad really likes strategy/tactics games (he really liked Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea) and FPSs.

- Final Fantasy games (She's playing FF13 right now)
- Dark Cloud/Dark Cloud 2
- The Elder Scrolls games
- She's thinking about playing Assassin's Creed
- American McGee's Alice (Probably not for kids, since it's a twisted creepy insane version of Alice in Wonderland)

- Generally FPS games, especially Halo
- He's probably gonna play Assassin's Creed

What things have you guys noticed in the show that wasn't really pointed out but gives another layer to the episode or situation when you think about it?
For example, in the pilot, the threat was that Nightmare Moon would make night last forever. If you think about it, you realize that plants need light to grow and live. What happens if all of the plants die from having no sunlight? Exactly.
The cider episode. The Apple family lives on their farm. If the FlimFlam brothers took their farm, they'd also be taking their home!

2012 May 24, 14:07:02I think the #ToonamiIsBack(censored) thing Adult Swim has put up might just be a way to get more hype the same way they started the movement with having people tweet #BringBackToonami. I just don't want us all to get our hopes up only for the experiment to not get enough ratings, and all of us to be let down.
The experiment's long over, we've proven that Toonami will be successful and thus gotten it back.

I can't wait to see the official trailer for Assassin's Creed 3. Hopefully it'll back up what Hutchinson told Game Informer about the game, instead of just showing Connor (the character) killing redcoats.

I've finally come to really notice that we do have new people who've come onboard since the game got more coverage after the EO/LoE incident. I just want to let you guys know that some of us do know some stuff that the devs have revealed about the game, so you can always ask any of us questions.
And, well, if we don't know the answer, then we can ask the devs together, can't we?
PvP
One thing I've seen people mention and especially ask about during the 24-hour livestream event is PvP. There will be PvP, but it'll be limited to certain areas, probably arenas.
Ponies per account
Each account will be able to have 3 ponies.
Pay to Play or Free to Play?
Legends of Equestria will be completely free to play, forever!
Player houses
Another thing I've seen mentioned that I'm also eager about is player houses. "It would be great if all those houses in Ponyville had more of a purpose than decoration!" I asked the devs about player houses back on the EO Suggestions forum. All I got was a big maybe. The thing is, if (big if) they do decide to let us have houses, it'll most likely be pretty much just house interiors. Actual houses that physically occupy space on a map would easily take up server space, plus the fact that there will likely be many, many players who will get houses.
Player housing is extremely low priority for them, so for now, player houses is a no. If they do consider it, it will likely be toward the end of game creation after they have gotten the important things done.
Races and race balance
I've seen some people wonder about how the races will be balanced or what kinds of perks the races will have. From the info that I've gathered from various places, including the race descriptions I managed to read from the character creation screen in an old Pre-Alpha vid (before LoE), here's what we've figured out:
Pegasus - Obviously, pegasi will be able to fly. If you've seen a pegasus flying (awfully fast) in Pre-Alpha footage, don't worry about that, they're going to slow the flight down when they work on balance. In battle, pegasi will probably use swift attacks and will be good at evading attacks.
Unicorn - As seen in Pre-Alpha footage, unicorns can teleport. Even though Swebow could teleport the unicorn he was using to anywhere he clicked on the map, unicorns won't have an unlimited teleport range when the game comes out. That would be silly. Unicorns have powerful spells, but they have worse defense and are advised to keep their distance from monsters.
Earthpony - Earthponies can run faster than the other two races. They can apparently "last longer in battle," which probably means that they have better defense. They also have a better connection with animals, and they can apparently "carry more things," although I'm not sure if that means anything for gameplay or not. Swebow has hinted at there being something about pets that earthpony players will love, but that information has yet to be revealed.
Also, one thing people bring up about pegasi flying is: Will a pegasus be able to stay flying for a limitless amount of time, like if someone goes afk while their pegasus is hovering somewhere for hours? The solution some people come up with is to give flight its own stamina bar. I asked the devs about this because the topic of stamina kept bringing up a lot of discussion that didn't get anywhere very fast. The answer: Running and flying will not have their own stamina bars.
Combat
Yes, combat. There will be combat against monsters, but LoE won't revolve around that. They're setting it up so we can use it as both a hang-out game and an RPG. One of the locations where we will fight monsters is the Everfree Forest.
Cutiemarks
We will not be able to upload our own cutie marks, and for good reason. But we will be able to customize our cutie marks. We've been told that when you start out, you're a blankflank filly or colt, and once you do something, you unlock a certain group of cutiemarks based on what your talent is. You then instantly become a full-grown pony. We can put up to three cutiemarks together to make our own cutiemark. We may also be able to recolor the cutiemarks to an extent.
The talent that you get will most likely have an effect on your pony in some way.
Squads and guilds
You'll be able to form a squad of players, called a Party. And we'll even apparently get to start factions/guilds called Herds.
Characters from the show
Because Hasbro holds copyright over the mane six, the princesses, Spike, and even a portion of the background characters, LoE is playing it safe and won't be adding characters from the show as NPCs unless they can get permission from Hasbro. They're currently working on contacting Hasbro to ask for permission.
Places
Confirmed places are Ponyville, Sweet Apple Acres, Cloudsdale, Canterlot, Everfree, Appleloosa, and Tartarus.
Building of these places is scheduled to be in this order: Ponyville (done), Everfree (in progress), Canterlot (in progress), Cloudsdale.
Mini-Games
The game will also include mini-games! Mini-games we have seen so far:
Hats/Clothes/Accessories
Of course, we know that there will be hats, lots and lots of hats. There will also be various clothes and accessories. There are multiple slots for clothes in the inventory screen.
