I agree, I'm glad they kept their original colours, though I'm not sure how I feel about the spin off.... I'm definitely going to give it a try before passing judgement though. ^-^

It says they go to another world, so I guess they're not in the pony world anymore at all.

I think somepony up top has been counting numbers in a spreadsheet too much and has no idea what the real world is like. If it sucks, we can ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist. It'll be easy since it won't interact with or affect FiM.

First off they won't fly , have magic , have super strength , or have supernatural enemies. It'l just be a normal high school show with their personalities. So it'l be a boring family sitcom without the dumb laugh tracks. Not just that let's remember the description.

I really hate How Hasbro is trying to make as much toys as possible. They are terrible at making them , and have no idea what they do to make them.
Sadly every time something bad happens everyone goes "Trust the writers!Trust the writers!"
Hasbro does sadly influence them , and even if they don't trust must have limits.
I'm against tons of recent things that happened such as the cancellation of many pony fan games , and shows. I'm also mad at the alicornation of Twilight. I'm going to wait things out to see if they can actually make 3 wrongs into a right.

From what I've heard, at least, while that Equestria Girls thing is running, it won't affect what happens in FiM, though. So hopefully we'll be able to ignore it if we want.
Though, the only positive things I have to say about it right now from first impressions are...
1. I like their boots.
2. I'm glad this won't cause an escalation in arguments on humanized fanart with people using Equestria Girls as basis on what races human mane six would be.
In fact, the reason behind their skin being their coat color is probably a result of attempted political correctness. They don't wanna have to get their hands messy with whatever they'd try for human races.

Everything I've heard said this was a made for TV movie. If it's fake, good. If it's real, it better stay there. Only in fan made crossovers (Turnabout Storm) is this acceptable. I trust the writers for the finale, but not for this... :l

I actually think she's very pretty that way. There's nothing wrong with Fluttershy being Indian. There's nothing wrong with Pinkie Pie being a little bit overweight. There's nothing wrong with Celestia being really tan and Luna being pale white.

I hope the spin off is just basically FiM with the mane six human, maybe a change of issues to make the show a bit more "mature". However if a bunch of human characters are shoe horned into interacting with them I doubt the show is going to retain its charm. I like the show because of its humour and characters, not because the cast is ponies, as long as these two major traits are preserved I believe the show will turn out fine.

I myself (can't speak for others) don't think the spin-off part is a lie just that one video. but the possibility of a spin-off or true cross-over if a good thing.

I think a spin-off is basically another show with at least one character from the original show. At least, I think so.
Cleveland from Family Guy got the spinoff The Cleveland Show. Meanwhile, American Dad seems to take place in the same exact universe as Family Guy and The Cleveland Show, but it's not a spinoff.
The show Angel was a spinoff from when the character Angel left Sunnydale in the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The ponies in human world have a huge opportunity to make lots of funny jokes and situations, but I'm really afraid this breaks Lauren's main idea, that is to have a show with girls as main characters that doesn't have boys and relatioship and things like that as the main subject. I think Rainbow is wearing a skort, which is a pair of shorts with a skirt attached to it. I used to wear those when I was younger. It was the closest thing to a skirt that my mom could get me to wear.

A cleric in DnD 3.5 is like a paladin, the only major difference is that a cleric is able to cast divine spells and have a more diverse choice of alignment. A DnD MLP spinoff would be awesome, Hasbro actually owns the rights to Dungeons and Dragons lol

Yeah, I said a while back on Skype that Equestria Girls is looking more and more like a fanfic.
I've seen fanfics before that put all the characters of a show in school together.
An example of a good setting would be to have the characters not even go through into another world and just have it be its own seperate universe. Having them ponies at the start and enter into the human world is just so odd and so fanfic like.
