Question: how will you notify the selected testers?
I don't remember the application asking about an email address, but since it asked for a user name, I'm assuming it will be either through the forum messaging system or email address associated with the forums account?

I've been waiting for this day (aria) to come.
I've been following LoE since before they were forced to change the names of the towns and got the go-ahead to continue as long as they don't use the names of characters and towns in the actual show.  I hope I can get my application in and accepted for first-run of this game.

I'm totally in love with Owl_feather's design
I think I may use that for Rose Petal next time I'm able to play (hoping soon for another OSW or the official OBS (open beta servers (as I'm sure there's going to be work needing to get done over the course of it))).
4
Now let's get the feedback going
first off, the Pros:
- combat system slight improvement over the past few OSWs (all the attacks work and inclusion of heals for everypony was a nice touch (I'm sure there will be character classes in the future to remedy who plays what with whatever race))
- a few new quests were added (at least I found a new one in crystal kingdom
- crystal kingdom actually HAS PONIES!
- new leveling system
- stats display in the inventory screen
- current player levels displayed below other player's names
- MY OC ROSE PETAL LIVES (well, I was able to build her back up anyways with no issues)

Now for a few of the cons:
- quests can be confusing still, and not all of them had ! quest markers like they should
- the loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong quest lines can be a hassle for new players not being able to find the NPC's location (thankfully, I've been here since before they had to change the names due to Hasbro saying not to use the real places)
- system messages for leveling up spam floods chat
- friends system doesn't display every friend you add
- quests still don't have the objectives written in the quest log
- still can't equip nurse's cap
- some of the mane models still have a clipping issue where it doesn't solidify and gaps depending on the style (the twin pig tails for example of which I will point out in a picture I will soon post.
- going from area to area and having to wait for the system to attempt to move you into the next available spot issue has returned without the option to cancel the load and return to the screen, forcing alt+f4 closure for full screen users
- combat system is still clunky

here's the hair issues I mentioned before
All in all, the game keeps getting better with every open server

the next planned open server weekend is in August, more specifically, August 8th - 10th
I'll definitely be here when that open server weekend hits.

I started playing RiM a couple years ago and I still have two character sheets made up.  Unfortunately our campaign came to a sudden end and we never started it back up

It's a shame, I really enjoyed playing it.  I didn't see me as the roleplaying type

You'd be surprised when you try something new.
I had a group once, but that fell apart.  Now I'm with a roll20 group in which we're continuing next week with the 2nd arc.  We're using the S3 rules as they're more solidified than the S4 edition (though S4 can be customized to include the new season 5 as soon as it's all released.

I'm not debating on systems here.
The link I gave is a self-made system that doesn't use ANY edition of D&D
the one you're talking about is a compatible with edition of the RPG for MLP.
We're talking about two completely different ones here.

Warning: the following image contains content that is TAFE (too adorable for everyone/everypony)
Spoiler: show

I know that there's a group working on rules for the new 5e rule set. They release I on deviant art and you can find it by searching "MLP 45e"

(Sorry for the lack of a link, I'm posting this from my phone)

thing about what they're doing there is that they're using D&D 5th edition rules for it.
This system was developed by the team and run using D6s.  The first and second editions were run on d20 systems, but decided to go d6 to simplify things.

One thing that I'd like to point out is that everyone still has a child-like spirit inside them.  My opinion: forget all this "for girls" or "for boys" crap and watch what you like because YOU like it.

If you like crime dramas, great.  If you like cartoons, wonderful.  If you like anime, good on ya.  If you like romance comedies, great.  Just don't slam us down based on bias assumptions of what kids/adults should and should not watch.

As for parents, it's up to THEM to regulate what their child watches and up to them to tell them the differences between consequences of actions they watch on TV vs real life (even in cartoons that show characters getting flattened and getting back up like nothing).

This project is now available to anyone who wants to create it using their stuff.  They no longer work on anything beyond their last release of Season 4, but they left it open so that it can adjust for seasons 5+
The site will remain available to this day

go there and see for yourself
I'm very familiar with the S3 rule set, so if I decide to run a roll20 game, I'm using S3 rule set.

mine was working before I saw the updated next to it
now I'm to having the updated version (x64) and I can't get past the loading screen after logging in without it wanting to crash head-first into itself.
EDIT: after I post this NOW IT FINALLY WORKS! GEEZ!  I have to threaten a dev to get it working?

my friend's 32-big client won't let her talk to Nurse Coldhoof, but she can interact with the other ponies just fine (other NPCs that is)
Also, what's with the shadow square under the character that follows them around?  Looks like it's trying to render the shape of the pony, but just ends up being a square on the ground.

The harrassment will probably never end thanks to people ruining it for us.
Typically, the trolls will lurk and pop out to give us fans a bad reputation, especially the male demograph above the ages of 20+
I, myself am 32 and I enjoy the show as it is, and no one is going to tell me not to.
I can see why so many people say it's for girls, but overall, the show doesn't have the stereotypical girl feel to it at all.
It's charming, entertaining for children and adults alike, and still manages to get the messages across without feeling like a stereotypical girl's show.

I was really bored one day, and I started thinking about all the pony meme stuff. I wondered what the big deal was about, since I thought it was really weird for all these teens to be so into the show. So I watched the first two episodes, then watched the third... and then the fourth... and then the fifth... and that's how Equestria was made.

this statement pretty much sums up how I found out about this gen.

I'm actually in a campaign for the S3 rules and so far, it's been pretty fun.
Wondering if anyone else has played yet.
Maybe one of these days, we can get a roll20 game of it started like I'm involved in right now  ^-^  :]  :D
