Heads up guys or for those of you guys that are playing pokemon go, I read on the facebook trends that pokemon go are banning players for violating terms of service reasons

here's what the trends said
QuoteThe bans are being imposed on players who use various types of software cheats, such as bots and GPS spoofing, to make progress in the game outside of the developer's intent, news outlets reported
62
My brothers are the only ones that are playing pokemon go, but my nephews are playing the game as well although they only like the kanto region pokemon. Probably by the time I get pokemon sun & moon versions, we can play together. I'm trying to see if i can teach my nephew how to play some pokemon games other than pokemon go.

I hope pokemon go will add johto pokemon on the later updates. I guess there's not much to talk about pokemon go even though it'll die out easily till new pokemon and updates come in.
63
I haven't been playing much. I'm too caught up on my own time by helping out my friends and my own games although I need to catch up what I need to do plus I only play when my friend is around so Usually I play the 3DS version to play.
64
Well I'm hoping for new mega evolutions like flygon, milotic, and the rest of the starters. I think that some water, grass, and ground types should deserve a mega evolution in alola region.

For those of you guys that are still playing pokemon go, I heard reports that the app will die easily also some of the stores will not take any pre-orders on pokemon go plus device. They'll sell out fast once they're in-stock at the stores. That's what I heard when I got the arceus code card from gamestop so who knows what's gonna happen to these pokemon go plus device.
65
Well my reactions or opinions on the new pokemon, forms, and moves. 50ft tall Exeggutor. That's gotta be the tallest of grass types next to tropius. I was interested in the new vulpix and ninetales forms although they do look cute though. This is the 1st that we've seen a Ice/Fairy type from ninetales and Ice/Steel Type from sandshrew family.

As for the solar Blade, I believe it's the physical attack version of solar beam, but I do wonder if it will do 1-move execution when sunny day / Drought / Desolate Land are in effect. It's pretty neat though.

For the dancing birds, The ability can only copy dance-like moves such as sword, quiver, fiery, and rain dance although I still like talonflame better among the other flying types.

Fomantis and Lurantis does seem to catch my interest though.

I did hear people saying that they did a phoenix wright reference in sun & moon version which is the gumshoos.

I was impressed by the Z-Move (although it does remind me a lot like soultimate moves in yo-kai watch). The question is that what's gonna happen to the mega evolution?
66
So they're changing Super Training into Hyper Training? That's new.

As for the new pokemon, When I looked at mimikyu, I was like oh wow A pikachu wannabe pokemon. Comfey caught my attention for the ability, but it seems cool to have one.

For those of you guys that are planning on getting pokemon go, well if you think that there's a problem playing it other than smartphone reasons, well if you guys are staying at home and don't go out often as I do, I would suggest Not getting it although if you go out weekly for shopping and groceries, those will work.
67
If you guys are having issues playing pokemon Go on your smartphones, What I know so far is that you're using an iPhone 4 so you need a iPhone 6 or better. If android, I'm not sure, but you need the latest model for android phones

also another advice for pokemon go app. Be sure to check your surroundings and stay alert at all times. I know some places aren't safe to go, play, and hunt and some places are restricted where you can go hunting at like the emergency service places.

I know a lot of people have been risking their lives playing the app, but they haven't been staying alert and checking their surroundings at all times.
68
I don't even know if Pokemon go is still Safe enough to play. It's been all over the news and facebook trends recently and a lot of ppl are just risking their lives to play pokemon go. I hope in a couple of months, there will be some changes to pokemon go and make it more less dangerous.

Gee, way to completely ignore my Sun/Moon posts -_-

It's no big deal anyway. I've been checking back with serebii more often than usual and see what news is coming up for sun/moon versions. As for the videos, i've already subscribed the gamexplain, the official pokemon channel, and nintendo to check out some information and analysis on sun/moon versions.

We already know how slow this thread is going right now and there's not much pokemon games to talk about besides sun/moon and pokemon go right now and the app is the big talk of it. I'm pretty sure that some of us have iPhone 4 which the app can't support as I know about and some of us are just waiting for the opportunity to upgrade the phones into iPhone and/or android just to play pokemon go.

Speaking of the sun & moon version, the pictures I posted from dA (via EQD's drawfriend stuff recently), we can use'em on the 1st post too, but i wish there was a banner version for them.

This Thread has been going slow lately and Pokemon Go has been the biggest talk around right now. We should be talking about pokemon go for now since it's already been released. All I can ask is how's pokemon go treating you guys so far? I did hear a lot of complaints from people that there hasn't been much of a co-op play in their areas, but I do have a advice and suggestion for them, go to places where it's crowded like the mall areas or meet-ups (streetpass meetups work too)

Here's my friend's advice for you those of you guys that are playing pokemon go

QuoteRemember everybody, if you see folks playing Pokemon GO, and they're nice/friendly, make them feel welcome.

This is it. This is our chance to make gaming and Pokemon a perfectly normal and socially acceptable activity, such as watching/playing sports, rollerblading, etc. Seriously, don't screw it up.

Pokemon is for everybody. It doesn't matter if Pokemon GO is their first game, or if they've been playing for years. Embrace new players, and show that they are always welcome to be one of us.

Happy hunting!

I heard and read the warning and danger sides about pokemon go app recently

well for starters, The criminals may target victims for robberies and other stuff they do by using the beacon feature and lure ppl to them also My friend told me that there has been car accidents lately when people are playing pokemon go app in the car so I'm guessing it could be reckless and/or bad drivers, but some tend to hold up the traffic.

also the App has an update, but it's for iOS users. if android users, well I don't know when that will come. If you guys are using iOS, please refer to the update notes at the app store.

If you guys hear any news about pokemon go app lately, just spread'em here. We just need to know the warning and danger sides about the app so we can be ensure of our safety.

General News / Re: Announcing Release!
2016 Jul 11, 17:57:15
I'd say that's great news. I'm looking forward to playing the game with you guys. I just hope it's more improved than the last OSWs even though I didn't get the time to enjoy the game after being caught up with my own time and schedule.
73
There's some issues with pokemon go just to let you guys know, but these are the issues I know about

The Battery will drain fast than usual
and It's pretty much buggy although there are server Traffic going on.

also another thing about the app is that it's optimized for smartphones, but not for tablets so read the description of the app more carefully when downloading the app.

edit: there are some pokemon sun & moon fan art, but I found these 2 on EQD's drawfriend stuff

[spoiler] [/spoiler
74
Just as a Warning: There might be some issues with the app so if you guys experience any issues, just let us know. There may be bugs & glitches as I may know about, but my Friend told me there's been issues with the app recently although I don't know what it is.

I've never played x/y so the exp share was also new to me.  It's cool though XD

Well the exp. share mechanic from X/Y was the same as R/S/E's exp. all without any exp penalties, taking up room in item slots, and holding the item to your pokemon. You need pokemon bank to transfer pokemon, but any hold items will be sent to the bag so if you want to transfer both pokemon and items, you just need someone trustworthy enough to help you transfer without being scammed. Try doing the whole pokemon contest with a shiny pokemon.

Spoiler: Incoming new Pokémon! • show

I like Tapu Koko and Togedemaru so far. Unsure about the others, though.

First bug/fairy in the pokemon history. Cutiefly and Togedemaru looks real cute though.

Y'all are talking about the new games already...I just picked up Alpha Sapphire, which is the first game i've touched since Emerald.  It's the same....yet so different.  I am looking up moves left and right cause i've never heard of them before.  And finding pokemon with rare moves or abilities is a fun new thing I get to do :D

Well All the mechanics are the same although the new mechanics were added in ORAS, but some were added from X/Y. The Pokemon Contest is easy to do now so apparently you can raise your pokemon's condition without any limit and any pokemon you migrated from R/S/E will have their conditions left the way you want them and then you can finish increasing their condition in ORAS also not only that, but it will reward you a certificate for migrating pokemon from R/S/E. The layouts and areas are different from the original version.

Since ORAS is a lot easier than the original, then you should have no problem at all since the exp. share mechanic is the same as X/Y's, but if you want to make things a challenge, just keep exp. share off.

Whew.

Now that I'm finally finished with the new Persona 3 FES "The Answer" that was Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon...

I'm going to try to move on to Sun/Moon now. Even though there still isn't an explanation for what happened to Pokemon Z and I still want an explanation.

Either way...

Let's talk about the Experience Share again.

It needs to remain the same IMO. Because grinding is a pain and annoying.

Keep it the same and give experience to all pokemon in the party please...

^-^

Well you already got your answer about pokemon Z so it's not gonna help speed up the process on the release. If you rush on the release, then the game will be incomplete and unstable till the patch arrives for these bugs & glitches. You already know what happened back in X/Y's Lumiose city which is that most people complained that they saved in the city and got stuck there so they waited for the patch to happen

As for the exp. share, that's the reason why exp. share was in key items. I always keep it off to make it challenging.

I was thinking you might have had a seizure, but then I read your dumb things post and... Yeah dude, you're overreacting. Glad you went to the ER and made sure you were ok but still, you were probably just very excited and/or stressed out. Maybe Pokemon or games in general really aren't for you like Kirby said... :ajshifty:

Well apparently I narrowed down his problems, but the 3 I know are complaining, rage, and his mental that's messing him up although I still agree with my friend that he shouldn't be playing pokemon or any other games if this continues. Blaming us isn't gonna make him any feel better and change the logic of the games including pokemon.

My guess is just to ignore his complaints about how pokemon games affect him irl, and blaming us pokemon fans and players till he learns his lesson, gets things over with, and takes my advice. As I said that there are no pokemon games affect people irl. It's all about fun & adventure nothing else. Excitement doesn't affect whatever leads him.

All I can ask him is answer the question that I asked him and take a break from playing pokemon games.

So...

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon just tried to kill me IRL. I had to go to the E.R. this morning.

I hope you're all happy now.

You know what? i will speak for everybody in this thread that it's just a game. My friend was right about people who rage at games. She said and told me that raging will not change the logic of the game and will not make the game better. You do realize that if you continue, then gaming including pokemon isn't your thing. That's just a warning from my friend. Rikaria is right. You need to quit complaining, and get things over with. No pokemon games can affect you or other people in real life. You can't judge that pokemon games affect in real life problems.

If you want to get better at pokemon games, you gotta calm yourself down, try again, re-think your strategy, and run it again. I'm pretty sure other people here agree with me on that.

Most of us have played pokemon games for many years and none of us are affected by the pokemon games. I've been playing pokemon games since i was 5th grade and then 6th grade, but mostly it's 6th grade that i started since pokemon stadium 1 then got my interest on pokemon back since 2003 which was the original ruby that I started.

All Pokemon games are meant to be fun. There's no pokemon games that will affect you IRL and I have a question: how does pokemon games affect you like that? there's no side effects or anything like that.

I heard that the stakeout ability helps against opponents who switches pokemon more often, but with pursuit move, it's even deadly. People will hate stakeout ability even more if used in competitive battles.
