Off-Topic / Re: Dumb things that annoy you

If I may interject my small amount of wisdom...
Just like you're being ignored by that someone you care about, you're ignoring the one who truly cares about you.
Quit staring at the person who doesn't care, and look around you for the one who always has.

Break the cycle.  For all our sakes.

Since apparently I have to put my opinions in spoilers now...

Spoiler: show
GameFAQs Best Game Ever was OBVIOUSLY rigged from the start. Undertale is unbelievably overrated and the fact that it won is an outright disgrace.  :l

Spoiler: show
I try not to use my own opinions about games to discredit their genuine popularity.
...Though I honestly kind of agree with you that it doesn't deserve the top spot.  Undertale is good, but it's not that good.

Pleasant Dreams looked over to Common, noticing his ragged appearance for the first time.
"Who put you through a blender?  You look terrible."
Common took a deep breath, letting it out as he blinked long and hard.
"I...Met someone.  Haven't had much sleep since then."  His voice was strong, though his expression was anything but.
"I could probably give you something to help with that.  My name matches my skills, you know."  Plea said, hopeful that his compatriot would take the offer.
Common wasn't an idiot.  "No thank you.  I heard that sweet couple you gave your last concoction haven't woken up yet."  He said, snark clearly hearable.
Plea made a mock expression of hurt, "Awww, but I was just trying to help!
His exaggeratedly sarcastic tone grated on Common's nerves.  "Yeah, like Tartarus you were..."
Plea's eyes bore into Common like a diamond tipped drill, doing their very best to wear him down even further than he already was.
"...Are you sure, Common?  You'd be free of all these problems."  Pleasant got a bit closer, smiling a little wider.
"So much responsibility, pressure to make Betty proud of you.
Pressure to keep your operations secret.
Pressure to stay alert at all times.
It could all go away, you just have to let me help you out.
"
Common knew what the look on Pleasant's face would be.  He'd seen it only once, a long time ago.

He didn't want to see it again.

Instead of listening to Pleasant's dribble, Common chugged his cider until it drained completely.
Setting the glass down hard, he spoke.  "No thanks, I quite like feeling alive."
He got up from the barstool, making his way to the door.  Pleasant leaned back to look toward him.
"...Can't blame a guy for trying, can you, buddy?"  Humor held aloft in Pleasant's voice.
Common pushed the front door open, muttering one last thing to himself.
"I think we both know that I can."
The door closed behind him.

Not a moment passed after Common left before Pleasant began howling with laughter.
Motioning toward the bartender, he tried to speak through the raucous noise.
"Ahahahaha!  Did you see his face!?  PFFFFHAHAHAhaha..."
Much to Plea's disappointment, the bartender didn't share in his mirth.  Slowly, his laughter began to die down.

"...You don't talk much, do you?"  The bartender said nothing, only blankly staring while cleaning a mug with a rag.
Slowly, a new feeling took Pleasant.  Sure, he'd had his fun, but...He felt emptier for it.
It was not a comfortable emptiness, either.  It was cold, bitter and biting.
Pleasant grimaced, picking up his cider.  He hoped in vane that drink would banish the company of his new feeling.

Setting down the now empty glass, Pleasant slowly took a photograph out of his coat pocket.  It was old...More than a decade at least.  He squinted, holding it close to his face.
He could just barely make out some colors, and a shape.  Pleasant sighed, putting the photograph away.
Quietly, he slipped out of his barstool.  Pleasant kept his eyes closed, relying on sound and touch to find his way to the door.
Without making another sound, he left, leaving the establishment empty.

...A bartender came out of the back.  He'd been busy cleaning the same dishes endlessly since Common had bribed him to leave the room as soon as the banker had arrived.
He set about putting the stools back in their proper places, glad that he was the only one working a shift tonight.

I updated to Windows 10.

I know understand what a tremendous screw up that was.

If you put anything on your desktop that Windows doesn't like (and that includes folders, files, and most programs you might have,) then Windows deletes them overnight.
I am telling everyone right now, as fellow forum goers,
IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING ON YOUR DESKTOP THAT YOU DON'T HAVE BACKED-UP SOMEWHERE, DO IT NOW AND DONT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER.

Still censorship

It's macaroni and cheese.  Nice new picture, Grizz.
26
As long as there's macaroni, I'm happy.
27
Time to anxiously await dinner, I suppose.
28
I've considered your application, but...I'm afraid I'll have to give a no.
Don't let one objection get you down though.  There are plenty of RPs to join.

Common Cents sat on a barstool, nursing a good mug of cider.
He looked around at the inside of the establishment, impressed by the wooden furnishings and felt cushions.
It must cost a small fortune to keep this place going.
He found he hadn't been able to sleep lately...Not since meeting the Card-mare.

He heard the front door open with a soft chime.  Hoofsteps echoed quietly toward him.
"Took you long enough."  Common lifted the mug to his lips, taking another long swig.
Just as he put it down, a hoof swung and smacked the back of his head.  The blow stung, but it was hardly a real punch.
"Imbecile!  Why did you let her leave town!?"  Common turned to look at his assailant, milky white eyes staring into his soul.
"Woah there, Plea, relax.  I couldn't follow her somewhere I didn't know, she'd spot me for sure."
Common Cents stared back into them, not shying away.  Soon enough, Pleasant Dreams averted his gaze.
Making a tsk of annoyance, Plea sat down on the bench next to Common.
"One slip up and we get arrested, along with Betty and anyone else they suspect.
Don't make another mistake.
"
Pleasant's ears swiveled, listening for any occupants of the bar that may have heard them.
It was fortunate that the bar was having a slow night.

"...So where is she now?"  Common hesitantly asked.
Pleasant scoffed.  "Not in this bar, that's for sure."
He shot Common a quick glare, made only more unsettling by his eyes.
"She's somewhere north.  And she isn't stopping, either.  She's wandering from town to town."
Common groaned.  "She's not making this very easy."
"Yeah, no thanks to you..."  Plea ordered a cider for himself, dropping five bits onto the counter.
The bartender had been giving them weird looks, but that was expected.  Pleasant wasn't worried...The bartender was sure to have heard worse conversations in his time.

Soon enough, his cider arrived.  They weren't too keen on speaking after that.
They stayed quiet...Not knowing what to do other than drink.
30
Pleasant was enjoying himself, but he knew it was time to get going.
With a small murmur, he turned to leave.  He said one more thing being leaving the pier completely.
"I don't know if we'll see eachother again, but next time, you can call me Please.
That's what the others call me.
"
With that note of finality, his steps took him off the pier.  Soon, he was out of sight completely.
31
Pleasant Dreams shifted his saddlebag to a more comfortable position.
"I should probably get going.  It was nice hearing you, Lucky lady."
A thought hit him, and he laughed.  "You said you're a barber, right?  Maybe I should call you Shears instead!"
He closed his eyes again and swiveled his ears around, listening for where the ocean couldn't be heard.
32
Pleasant made a clicking noise and the smile nearly dropped again.
"Ain't it obvious, Lucky lady?"  He looked past her, towards the ocean.
He still couldn't see anything.

"I don't know what it's like."

Pleasant's attention turned back toward her, apologetically.
"I was just curious."  Making a quick decision, he tested his hurt hoof.
It wasn't so bad by now, he could probably get moving again, but...
He wasn't sure if he wanted to anymore.
33
"Do you know what it's like to grow up with a family?"
Pleasant was looking at her again, but not in the same way as before.  Vague shapes and dim lights were all he could ever see.
That wasn't going to change just because he met someone, no matter how much he wanted to see who he was talking to.
34
Morning Grizz!
35
Pleasant's mood picked up a bit.  "Really?  That's great!  It's always nice to hear someone coming from home.  If you ever need somewhere to stay there, you're more than welcome to drop by.
There's even a book store and a flower shop next door.
"
He laughed, thinking about his friends.  "Capri would like you.  She owns the flower place."

Pleasant lazily opened his eyes again.
"I have a bit of a personal question for you, Lucky lady."
His tone was joyful, but implied he'd be asking regardless of any objections.
36
"Yes, actually.  Just looking for a friend, he should be somewhere around here."
Pleasant moved toward the piers edge, trying to reach the water with his hoof.
The pain was ebbing, but slowly.  "I'm actually from Manehattan.  I run a hotel there."
"Do you come from anywhere special?"  He seemed curious.
Pleasant had no clue where someone with hair that smelled like that would come from.
37
Pleasant laughed out loud.  "What, this tiny thing?  I've been carrying it too long to let it off my back now."
The chuckle in his voice vanished, and the smile ran away from his face.
"Besides."  His indistinguishably vacant eyes swiveled to stare at his companion.
"What's inside is too important to simply let go of."

Pleasant lowered his head to face the ground, eyes still undetectably staring.
He slid a hoof down his face, wearily.  His braid was low enough to touch the ground.

When he looked back up, his eyes were closed, face covered in a familiar smile.
"Sorry about that, Lucky lady.  What were we saying?"  His voice held mirth once again.
38
"I needed some insight.  The ocean helps."
Pleasant's saddlebag felt heavier.  "What about you, Lucky lady?"
His head tilted a bit, ears now pointed better at Sheer Luck.
39
"Smart business, lady."  He blinked.
His mood seemed high, though the ache in his hoof was still present.
"My name is Pleasant Dreams.  I've always liked singing, let's me know a voice better.  It was nice to hear you."
His smile dropped for a moment, physical attributes he'd never properly learned to control betrayed his mood.
The smile was back quickly however.
40
Now his ears pricked up as well.  Someone was singing, and he'd bet it was the one who smelled like hair.
The stallion kept his eyes half open, though it was a vain attempt.  All that came through were dim lights.
He could tell from the feel and sound of the flooring that he was walking on the pier.
Progress was slow, but the voice was getting closer.

He counted himself lucky that the stranger was singing, it made things much easier.
Her voice was very close now.  Curious, he took a quiet breath and the smell hit his receptors like a dusty tome thrown by an angry spouse.
"...So you're the one with the detergent hair and the lovely voice."
His voice began annoyed and ended happy.  Either way, he was smiling, eyes still half open and pointed pointlessly in her direction.
"I interrupted you.  Keep singing, don't mind me."  There was no sense of apology in his tone, but he sounded sincere at least.

[Well, it would take a while to explain everything, but I can try.
Obvious groups that I can think of are the two main families and their acquaintances.
First being, the Scale family.  Checkmate (male) is married to Greyscale (female).  They have two genetic children that they play every now and then, and one adopted daughter that Grizzly plays.
Rosie has a character that was also an adopted child of theirs, but through magic shenanigans she's much older now.
Rush's character (who's also named Rush) is connected romantically with hers, last I checked.

As for the second family, that would be the one I'm connected to.  Whitewash Malady (male) is married to Sweet Hoof (female).
Whitewash is my main character, and Sweet Hoof is Chibigrrl's.
They also have two children who haven't been terribly important quite yet.
Sweet has a sister of sorts who was also created through magic shenanigans whose name is Sottises, or Tise for short.  The one who brought her about is named Bygone Era, an old mage that I played until I retired him.
Now connected to Bygone and most of the second family is FakeSmile's OCs, Predestine and Lil Foli, both female.  Predestine is basically Lil Foli's mother.

Now lots of characters and RPers have come and go, but those are the most prominent that I can tie down to two main groups.
TL;DR, we've been doing this a very long time.
