I've only watched Retsupurae commentate over the Darkseed games.

There was one called The Island of Dr. Brain..... I think?

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream was an interesting take on the short story. I did learn about the game through Retsupurae, but I had read the story a while before. The author of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (Harlan Ellison) plays the voice of AM in the game, I believe, and he's phenomenal. The only thing is, the game is not at all true to the story, but they're both still good.
I'd recommend it, the same people who made Darkseed (Cyber Dreams) made it. Although, I think it would be a bit difficult for me to recommend Darkseed itself. The first one maybe, but the second one was kind of a mess.

Raptor: Call of the Shadows is a great vertical shooter
