• Name
Danny Mars

• Age
17 yrs.

• Gender
Stallion

• Species
Unicorn

○ Talent
Writing,
Drawing,
Composing Violin songs

○ Cutie mark appearance
An open book with a yellow green quill ready for use, a paint brush is crossed with the quill, too. In the book is a line for music writing, with a Treble clef at the beginning.

◘ Personality

Creative
Like a bubbling cauldron, his creativity is a storm. He can think of a plot for a story in a second. Sitting in a field, he'd see a butterfly and think of it's life; document it. He loved to write his own melodies, dot his own poetry and stories.

Confident
Danny is confident, ready to go up on a stage, have the spotlight shine down, and show off his talents. He isn't afraid of failing a step in a dance, or getting a note wrong; but he must go on, even if it means the music disc glitches or his violin is out of tune.

Bold
At times, Mars can be a powerhouse; bold, fearless! He can do anything, anytime; anywhere. The stallion could be the hero of a comic book, or the villain of a song. His heart tells him what he can be; anything!

◘ Backstory

As a young colt, Danny Mars grew up in Canterlot. He wasn't snobby or up-tight though; he was laid-back, creative. His mother was seldom around, and his father was like a god in Danny's eyes. He was top-notch; the father who would tuck you in at night, read you stories, buy you the newest edition in a comic series. That was Danny's father. Although, considering his mother was not truly around; she was more sharp edged. Her tactics were commanding, and she expected Danny to be snobby and up-tight. It never happened, but she was as sharp as a dagger.

Danny's mother left the father. They never really heard or had seen of her; ever again. Mar's dad went through a rough time, but he began to see the light around present day; when Danny was almost ready to leave the house and pursue his talents.

Present day, Danny's father is old and frail, but he is still that father. His father sometimes comes to visit, bringing over Caramel Popcorn in those tins; with pony designs all over them.

○ Cutie-Mark History

Around the age of 10, Danny began to practice for lessons on the violin. He came five days a week, getting his violin out, rosining, tuning; the works. He also began to delve into publishing, writing funny short-stories about him and himself getting in a pickle; but always ending up saving the day. He illustrated scenes for his stories also, his skills developing throughout the years.

At age 12, he got his cutie mark; bearing the beginning of a composition, a paintbrush and quill. Marking the symbol of Creativity in three branches; Music, Art, and Writing.

♠ Occupation

Currently, Danny is going to an Art school; where he is sharpening his drawing skills.

The mare sat on the crunching dirt, her heart soaring. Dannie wanted him to come back, tell her more! Why did he act so rude when the upright's dam told him they were bringing her home. Was it for cover up? Her curiosity began to overfill, and she tugged at the leathery rope. It scratched against her neck and caused her to draw blood, but she ignored it.

She finally got it off with a red fade around the ring, and it began to stain her scarf. Dannie perked her ears and listened for the colt in the darkness, since the orange pearl sky turned into a dark black ocean. She approached the door and put a hoof on it, then hit it. The door made a loud WONG noise, and vibrated. The mare cringed and saw a small black lever. She jumped up and grabbed the metal grip in her teeth, and pulled down. The door opened and a warm smell overwhelmed her.

Dannie trotted into the cottage, her hooves clicking on the tile floors. She stopped and perked her auds, listening for any stirring in the family's activity. The cottage was silent. She continued on and looked around the small house, looking for the colt. No pony was downstairs and the mare tried upstairs, which she searched for the set of spiraling tiles. She sauntered up the stairs and entered a narrow hallway. She felt engulfed at the narrow strip of house, and seemed to choke for air.

She trotted out of the hallway and heard a array of loud snores. Dannie approached one room, that had a pink door and a splash of pink flower décor stickers. The mare guessed this wasn't his room. . . and she approached a deep maple door. In a strange language; letters read; ""CARTER" In curiosity, the mare pushed his door open, and it creaked.

Dannie stepped in and saw a silhouetted body against a pale light, where bright candy colored bodies bounced and talked. The mare crept up and got closer to the bright box, then leapt onto his bed. He didn't stir from the sitting position and watched the bright screen, the audio only barely loud enough to hear. She crawled next to him and plopped down, watching with him. He didn't seem to know until she asked;

"What is this?"

The colt jumped and looked over, seeing it was only Dannie and exhaled. "My little pony. . ." he murmured, as though riddled with fear to let her know about his love for brightly colored ponies. "Oh. I wanted to ask. . . why do you like me? What was your dream about? If you want me to stay forever. . . I don't think I can. I have friends back home, and things to do."the mare snorted, and looked him deep into his hazel eyes.

"Well, I like this show because. . . I don't know. It's cute!" he said, "Being only 13 and liking the show is a bit embarrassing, to say. . . I feel different, but I'll stay liking it. The dream was I wanted a pony, a my little pony, so I could have something to do!" He finished, but paused and left one question unanswered. He blushed and shook his head. Dannie understood. . . another time she'd ask him.

The mare felt riddled with fatigue and yawned. She put her head on her hooves and closed her eyes. Carter smiled and pat her head, before turning off his light-box and snuggling into bed, drifting off into a deep slumber.

5
The light seeped through the cave's opening as Dannie was just getting up.
The mare yawned and crawled out of her small sleeping space, and stretched.
She perked her ears at the sound of laughing, and eating. The Pretzel smell was strong and hung in the air.
She smelled other foods, but couldn't put her hoof on the smell. She trotted along the hill from yesterday, avoiding the sharp rocks again, and made her way towards the shrill laughter.

Dannie gave a smirk and rounded a striped tent, seeing upright foals of all sizes!
They laughed, playing with sparkling sticks and hugged plush animals. The purple mare walked towards them, the gravel under her hooves crunching. A young foal stopped playing. The foal turned and laughed, they were young. The upright foal stumbled over, and fell on Dannie's leg. The mare let her ears fall against her head. They were cute!

Her fur warmed in a ripple with affection of the foal, and she smiled. The foal suddenly hit her leg, and stumbled around, laughing as they pulled at her fur, ringing their fingers in her purple coat. Dannie clenched her teeth, squinting as they grabbed her tail and yanked. The mare snorted and turned around. The upright foal stared at her in confusion. She lightly pushed them, away, with little force, but enough to get them away from her!

The child stumbled under their weight, and began to cry loudly. Their sobs were aggravating and obnoxious. A loud upright voice shouted and the mare turned to see a large Upright mare squint down at Dannie. They picked up their child and bounded them in their arms.

"It's alright! Shh. . . We'll bring the pony home!" the Upright mare said, comforting their child. The upright grabbed at Dannie's scarf, and tugged her along. The mare decided to go with it as they approached a metal beast.

"Uh, Ma. . . what is THAT?" an upright colt called.
The mother told them it was a pony they were taking home, and the colt rolled his eyes.
Dannie had to climb in the back of the beast as the 3 uprights entered it's mouth. The beast thrummed with it's roar and sped off, approaching the upright's cottage.

After quite a long time, the beast's noise began to fade. The mare perked her ears, seeing they were on a farm now. The mother upright got out first, with her filly in hand, and pulled a gate down to the back of the beast, urging the pony to come out.

Hesitantly, the mare jumped down. The colt got out and passed Dannie, with devilish smirk played across his lips. The mother tugged at the mare's scarf again, and walked towards a barn. She set her child down on a bale of hay and got some thick rope, tying it around Dannie's neck. She picked up her bundle of joy and walked to her cottage.

Dannie was alone.

Crickets chirp in the silence and Dannie sat down.
Not before long, the mare saw the colt come out of a door from the cottage, racing towards Dannie.

He smirked yet again, and stopped in front of her.
"So, you're the new animal?" he murmured, looking her over. "You're odd for a pony. Fedora, glasses, and a scarf." he mumbled.  The mare perked her ears.

He looked her over again, and gave a soft 'hmm'. "I know what you are! You're a . . . what are those things called? Oh, My little pony?" The colt asked, expecting an answer. "Yes." Dannie replied. The upright colt stared in astonishment, and chuckled. "I knew it! My dream's true!" The mare stared at him with a deep look.

His dream? He wanted a pony?

The colt looked around nervously, and got close to the mare. Dannie began to back away, but realized he leaned in for a kiss on the nose. The mare's face turned a crimson as he walked away, quickening to a run as his face was flushed red too.

This seems odd. . . for an Upright to love. . . me?

The mare flattened her ears against her head, and scraped the ground. She felt warm inside. . .

[I'll squeeze in a good post.]

The world came back in a flash. Dannie cringed a the blinding light that swung above. She was riddled with nausea, her stomach clenched and she grit her teeth. Something sharp poked her body, and she jumped. The uprights yelled and something spilled. The mare was forced back down by two cold hands. She perked her ears, listening to every sound. Another sharp sensation! She tried to jump was held down tightly.

"Let me go! LET ME GO!" she screeched, trying to pull herself free. She got a loose grip and flailed her front hooves out. She got a good hit on one of the uprights. They doubled over in pain. The purple mare stood up and reared, kicking out at the uprights. She looked around for a way out, but couldn't see one.

"Experiment 12! It's GETTING AWAY!" an upright yelled, as another scientist came busting through a door. Dannie squeezed through and began to gallop across the tile floors, stopping by to get her stuff and leave. She was done with this place! The prodding, the prisons, the metal beasts, the UPRIGHTS! SHE WANTED TO GO HOME!

The mare flared her nostrils in frustration as she avoided uprights with carts, and bounded out of a window, glass exploding into a mess everywhere. Her shoulder stung with a fresh cut from the sharp shards, but she wanted out. The purple mare looked back, seeing she finally had some good distance between the laboratory and herself. The mare made her way along the Metal Road (Metal beast's paths). Her hooves thumped on the grass, as the beasts roared by; their fumes aggravating.

Greenery began to seep into the distance, like a puddle growing more in size. The trees over took her in a gasp as she entered the forest. The mare panted heavily, and put her fedora back on; placing her glasses back in position and wrapping her scarf around her neck. She took a few breathers before getting up and wandering the area. Dannie had never realized how insanely hungry she was getting, and there were no Pineapple Pizzas or Blueberry Bagels in sight.

Oh well, instinct time. The mare began to search the area, sniffing at berries and getting a sour smell. She came across some blue shaded berries, and sniffed. They didn't smell like blueberries, but they smelled good! Reluctantly, the mare placed her lips around a bud, and tore it off. The berries melted in her mouth, and were really sticky, like peanut butter! She swallowed this bud and prodded for more, eating most of the delicious fruits of flavor.

After her supper, Dannie went to find shelter.
Then that clenching feeling twisted her stomach again.
The blood roared in her ears as she coughed harshly.

I. . . I think I'm gonna be sick!

Dannie thought, and she coughed again. She felt a lurch in her stomach.
The mare coughed again and again, her eyes lightly stinging. She looked around, and saw a nice bush.
She trotted behind it and coughed again.

After letting loose, Dannie wiped her mouth. It must have been those berries. . .
She lumbered away from the bushes, and lied down in the open, sighing heavily.
She just ate but now her stomach was at level 0 again.

The mare sighed in dismay and sauntered down a hill, avoiding sharp rocks on her way as she got this appetizing smell.
Pretzels. . . cheese. . .
But, her stomach still clenched in sickness.

She turned back and decided to retrace her steps tomorrow, for now she needed rest after her retching session and today's terrors. Finding a nice small cave to sleep in, she crawled in and settled down for the night, as the sun was setting gently over the horizon.

Dannie peered out of the rippling leaves, seeing another sign under, with a couple numbers. She perked her ears and began to emerge when a loud rumbling noise shook the ground. She looked out, seeing a hard surface a few inches away from where she stood. The mare glanced around, and saw one of the metal beasts come roaring from the other side, and whip past. A stagnant stench filled the air and Dannie coughed harshly. The fumes stung her lungs and tasted bad in her mouth. Her eyes stung in pain and she began to tear up. The mare bolted out of the bushes and ran along side the road, coughing and wheezing.

Eventually, she had to stop. She was out of breath and was nauseous from the fumes of the metal beast. The mare scanned the area, her eyes red with irritation behind her glasses' lenses. The purple pony continued on, her hooves drumming the ground as more beasts roared past. They were loud and obnoxious, with loud snarls like that of a train horn. They never tried to get at her, always staying on their path. It was good for them to do it too. . . she always was nervous of getting devoured. Their eyes were always forward, so she thought they were too riddled with ignorance to look for the mare.

Dannie finally stopped at a gate, not knowing what to do. She waited to see if it would open, or someone would come to open it for her. No avail. She pressed at it, and it creaked dryly. She pushed harder and stumbled as it opened. With a blush, she walked through, slow and hesitant. Beyond she saw the land ripple with more forest, and just off to the right she saw a lot of weird looking structures. Dannie pinned her ears against her head. Structures. . . or forest? She thought, looking between the thick greenery and the hills with the structures.

A bush rustled behind her and she turned around, her breathing slow but her heart pumping fast. "A-anypony there?" she called, her voice small. The mare figured it was in her head and she turned back over. Reluctantly, she walked over to the structures. She was curious, and wanted as much information as she could find to help her get back home. Picking up the pace, she formed a steady trot. A loud cracking noise and a yell sounded from behind her, and Dannie whipped her head around.

Too late. She was already pinned with a rope around her neck, ruffling her green scarf. Dannie gasped, as the stench of damp mildew and oil wafted through the air. A gruff creature was holding her down, his glistening yellow eyes reflecting the pony. She kicked, but the male was too heavy. Her sides hurt as he stayed on top of her, holding the flailing pony down.

Another creature came and picked her up.

"What is this thing?" one said, loudly.
"A pony, idiot! Something weird about it though. . . ponies don't have scarves or hats or glasses. This one's purple too." the one with the glistening yellow eyes responded harshly.
"It's familiar. . ."

Of course, Dannie had a hard time understanding what they mostly said, but she got the idea they were discussing about her since they were prodding her and poking her body. She gave a shriek.

"Somepony! Agh, HELP!" she cried, her legs in ropes. The two creatures were in dull silence, staring at her. "Did that bloody thing just talk?" Yellow-eyes said. Dannie was frantic, flailing and trying to break the bonds, but it was no use. The ropes were tight and she gave up. The pony sighed and rested her head down on the plastic surface. (She's in the bed of the truck) The two creatures shook their heads and entered the beast. They must control them. . . Dannie thought, perking her ears.

The metal monster gave a loud roar, in frustration, and sped off.
She bumped around and hit her head against the beast's body.
Everything faded into a fuzzy mess as she passed out.

Later, the mare awoke. She shook her head, and once her eyes were adjusted to the bright light, she saw a barrier around her. The mare put a hoof on the front of her prison, and gave a shake. It made a loud rattling noise but didn't do anything. She looked around the room seeing an assortment of animals. Cats, Dogs, Monkeys, and many other things she was actually familiar with in this place.

One of those creatures came by, and Dannie noticed she was; 'naked'. Her scarf and hat were gone, her glasses also on a table in the middle of the room. The mare studied this creature since they were inspecting her stuff, picking them up, sniffing them, feeling them. She noticed they stood on two legs, and never galloped or trotted. They had flat muzzles and weird hooves. They looked like claws.

Dannie began to come up with a name for them. Uprights. They were light upright tents, or upright statues. And it made sense, since these creatures stood upright also. The upright walked around towards her prison, and opened it. They slid in a bowl that had some mush in it. Dannie sniffed the bowl's  contents and gagged. It smelled stale and dry, like some food left out in the sun for too long, and began to mold.

The mare wanted a blueberry Bagel! Extra cream cheese! Not some mushy pile of mess. She put a hoof on it's rim and pushed it out, it squeezed through the bars and landed on the floor, with a satisfying SPLAT! Dannie raised her chin in pride at the mess she created, and also showed she demanded not this mess. The upright growled and came to clean up the mess. They walked out with their cleaning tools and came back later.

With MORE mush. This upright was as deaf as a bat! Dannie snorted. "Again?!" she yelled, and saw it was their turn to make the mess. They dropped the bowl altogether and stared in awe at Dannie. "AMAZING!" they shouted, which Dannie couldn't understand, yet.

Dannie gave a disgusted look. "Never seen a pony talk before? Talk about stupid creatures." Dannie said, and flicked her short tail; turning around. The upright ran out of the room, yelling for someone. They came back with another upright. This one held a long stick that had a sharp point. Dannie looked over her shoulder, and backed away. If they brought that near her. . . The upright with the stick made a fast jabbing move, but missed as the mare moved away. The upright stomped their foot and jabbed again with the Sharp-point. Dannie was confused and felt a sharp sensation. She pinned her ears and shook her head.

She fell back again, into unconsciousness.

[ Thank you. ]

Dannie groaned with great pain. She lay on her stomach, the wind knocked out of her and her glasses beside her. Her dark black fedora was a mess atop her orange mane, and so was her hair. It was a complete disaster. She felt for her glasses and put them back on, blinking at the harsh light that bathed her. She realized it was only the sun. . .

She waved a hoof over the side of her purple body and then stood up. She glanced around.
"Hello?!" she called out, rather loudly. She put a hoof across her brow, looking out.
Nopony was around, not one living thing.

Where is everyone? she began to trot along the soft grass, noticing she was surrounded by thick foliage and tall trees. She was in a forest! But it wasn't the everfree forest, and it had an unfamiliar smell. Dannie kept on for a while, then she stopped by a large current of water. It rolled and lapped against rocks, spraying her gently. She looked over the edge, seeing a long drop. This was obviously a waterfall. She looked around for a bridge of some sort, but didn't see one. How is anypony supposed to cross? she thought, snorting. The purple mare trotted along the soft grass that lined the bank, then she galloped up a hill, which sloped harshly down.

After climbing the hill and stumbling down, she saw a large creature. It was, bulky and big. A creature sat in it, tapping their hand on a round device. Dannie touched the object, and felt it's cold surface under her hoof. She turned and kicked at it.

The creature that was sitting in the bulky device yelled something, and the mare heard a loud slam, like a door. She stood her ground, and saw something around the corner. It stared at disbelief at her, then yelled something in it's language and kicked at her. Dannie jumped, and screamed before running off. She was watching over her shoulder when she collided into a pole. The mare shook her head and looked up. A large square was on the pole, with a sign of something like an animal not being allowed. . . and a tall creature standing with it, with a long rope. The whole thing was white and green.

The mare backed away, into a bush. She was frightened.

What was this place?
What were those creatures?
Why is this world so different?
Why was she there?

Tatiana
Tatiana flew down from the skies, as she was scouting around. The mare landed as her wings folded, they squeaked and steamed. She sat down. "So... This is pretty cool. We're out in the Everfree forest..." the mare said, blowing a strand of her mane out of her face. Tatiana closed her eyes for a second and tapped a hoof, her wings steamed again as she hummed a song.

The mare opened her eyes as she realized she was the only one humming. Tat gulped and scratched the back of her neck.
