Once he registers names completely, however, he will call himself Spidercrawl.

An Explination

When Discord had everything in chaos, I can imagine that there were tiny holes poked through the universes. I'm sure lots of OC Ponies came through them in their own ways. One to our realm was very small, however. It was so tiny that only the greatest adventurers could find it- and only ones without second thought would venture in. Only one being could possess a craving to adventure so pure. That one being has camouflaged itself after much observation. That one being... This pony... is a Google Bot.

His Cutie Mark and Mission

His cutie mark is a quill and those cylinders in full Google Colours. That cylinder shape is actually the logo for a Database. He is in Equestria to do what Googlebots do: register all of Equestria as one website so that Google can find it easily. Since he views Equestria as a website as opposed to an alternate dimension, his understanding of things is... interesting. Since there are no tags in reality, it's going to be a while until he connects the world around him with all the memes he knows from the internet...

He Transforms

He doesn't quite understand that Earth, Pegasi and Unicorns are seperate species yet. He just views them as seperate forms of ponies. In order to fully explore the "website" he finds it is easier to take on each of these different forms. He normally traverses as an Earth Pony, but if he decides to fly or use magic, he will simply grow wings or horns on the spot. It will be a while before he registers the shock of the ponies around him.

He doesn't realize that he can have a horn and wings at the same time, as he has never seen an Alicorn.

His Spells

He does not possess any Spells yet. He doesn't quite understand that magic exists. He sees that Unicorns can do things without physical contact, and he knows they use a skill, but not how to use it. He hasn't exactly connected how horns work, either.

Learning Spells with the Google Bot

He has to learn each spell by observation. In order to register a spell in his records, he must see it thirty times. In order to replicate it, he needs to see it fifty times. From there he can try to practice the spell on his own to become proficient. This does mean he can learn any spell, but he cannot learn it from text. It must be displayed by one who is already proficient.

His First Moon

This little bot found itself dumped into an odd place. It was a collection of foliage in the middle of town. It hid in this foliage observing until it could replicate the main species of the website. Once he had built himself a...self, he was no longer able to hide in the grass and things. His interactions with the ponies have been quite awkward due to his lack of knowledge and it has been hindering his ability to build his database.

He mastered walking and a few basic facial expressions. Having a body itself was odd for him and working it completely still hasn't settled in. He never learned to run, eating has been a concept he graps but cannot manage, and learning the Equestrian Language proved to be difficult. He kept himself at the observing stages, and focused more on enviroment rather than societal structure. Master the first levels before warp-whistling to the end of the game.

What He Needs

This little bugger needs a mentor. Maybe his mentor will be a Unicorn, and will teach him magic. Perhaps this mentor will be a small Earthpony child who will teach him all the hopes and dreams they have for Equestria. Without a mentor, he will be forced to draw his own conclusions in the end.

And that might not be pretty.

To be honest, I don't really find this character appealing to me. It's an android from Google, and even under your chaos theory, I could never voluntarily accept a character like this. Of course, I'll be as impartial as possible judging the quality of his character, which will only go so far considering he's a robot.

On a conceptual level, he's perfectly legitimate as a character. His mission is to learn as much as he can, which is a great base for any character as a drive to push them into the unknowns of Equestria. His ability to transform might... draw suspicion about his origins if anypony sees him in different forms... or are they aware that he's an android from another world in pony form?

His method of learning spells seems to be too... specific. Why does he need to see a spell 50 times exactly to be able to replicate it? It's like after 49 looks, he can't replicate it, but after the 50th, he's allow to start trying it out. Of course he IS a computer, but it just doesn't make sense for a being that can make its own decisions.


Oh, looking at him and his cutie mark... the name Building Blocks was the first thing to pop in my head. Not too sure how robots are named, but I think this name would work for him.

To address if anypony would see he's a non-pony in disguise, it will be painstakingly apparent. I would like to see how each pony reacts to a thinking robot. We do have some tech (DJ-Pon3's gear), so it might not startle some ponies. We also have mechanics around (Omicron, namely) and I can see Pegasi havong the greatest assemblance of mechanics.
