That would be fun. But I'm thinking it might be fun for there to be actual regular Pokémon, with ponies as the trainers. But this way is also fun... I don't know which would be more fun.

yeah, that's what I was thinking. I mean, you could have a wild pokemon OC, that another trainer could catch.

Not sure. It's implied they can only catch Pokémon, but you never see non-Pokémon animals in Pokémon, so who knows? It can't be proven!
