Video Games Archive / [Fanmade] Pokepon

Hi, everyone, I'm working on a pony game called 'Pokepon', a multiplayer pokemon-like battle simulator with ponies.
The game (both server and client) is written in Java, so the game is cross-platform, and it is free software (the source code is available on https://github.com/silverweed/pokepon/). The game is currently in alpha state, so many things are missing, incomplete or simply not working, but it should be quite playable and moderately enjoyable
If you want to try it, RedEnchilada has offered to host a public server on lyrawearspants.com, so you can download the game from here: http://inle.freeserver.me/pokepon/downloads/pokepon-0.01.jar and start playing without much setup. (the game requires Java 1.7 or later)
Also, if you want to contribute to the game, either with code or with art (better pony sprites, custom-made music and so on), or with anything else (like hosting a server or a decent game site), any help is MUCH appreciated!

I'm really sorry for having being absent for so long...I should've been back months ago, but I just kept delaying my return, for one reason or another. At the end I've understood that probably my interest for roleplaying has kinda gone extinct: I find really hard to start playing again after all this time, I wouldn't even know where to start getting ideas...

Don't misunderstand: this RP is awesome, and I'm really, really grateful to Wandering Magus for inviting me in: it's been the first online RP I've ever partecipated in, and I had a lot of fun, even if for only the few months I've actually played. I just don't feel like coming back with absolutely no inspiration, but that's a problem of mine, not this specific RP-related.

I didn't want to just disappear without saying anything - like I've done so far - so let me bid best luck and fun to all of you roleplayers - duh, I miss Silver Snake, but if I'm not mistaken he's disappeared as well - and thanks again to Magus  (your RPs are great, carry on like this!  )

(I'm not quitting the forum, I'll be lurking and sometimes posting around the board; so, see you around . And, who knows, maybe my interest for roleplaying will eventually return, in that case Alkaid will wake up from his millenary sleep  )

hmm.  I find it odd that, with all the transmuting going around, the unicorns don't simply make everypony an alicorn.  it shouldn't be that difficult to transmute the equine body structure to the appropriate shape if one can easily turn a mouse into a "horse".

That would mean too many competitors with Celestia, therefore the law probably forbids it

I'm still alive as well, for anyone that's interested. Just been so incredibly busy with everything from school to friends to games that I've been wasting my life on, I just don't open chrome much lately.

I finally gave that exam, and it went well
Now I should have a reasonable amount of free time again, so I might be back in the RP...problem is, I have no idea what happened while I was away

Geez...you have no idea how I'm stressed with this exam, it's like > 1 month I'm preparing it...both because it's not very easy and 'cause I'm soooo lazy 

P.S. So, is Silver Snake disappeared too?

Hi guys; as you have probably noticed, I'm not posting quite much lately...this is due to my <wow-I-didn't-expect-this-part-to-be-censored>ed exam session which won't end as soon as I'd wished

Therefore, I'm sorry to tell you I'm very likely not partecipating in Pony Cosmology for at least one month; I fear I can't keep myself at pace with the RP with other things in mind, so I prefer not posting at all than posting hurrily-written stuff just to show my face up. I really hope I'll be back as soon as possible; until then, pretend Alkaid be back in his Realm...ponderating XD.

Also, Alkaid should be able to know exactly where each crow is, shouldn't he?

Alkaid was quite suprised not to hear answers from Zeth. Then, focusing of the Earth God's mind, he sensed something odd, like Zeth was concentrating his attention elsewhere. I haven't met the new God of Water yet...maybe I should at least introduce myself...by the way, why is Majem back here? I thought he dropped his godhood time ago...and in fact his source of intelligence is that of a mortal.. Also, he seemed to be with Crimson. Alkaid was quite curious about that, but decided to meet the new God of Water first.

He started flying towards the unknown pony's source of intelligence at moderate speed.

Alkaid was basically staring at the sky pondering. I should be talking with Zeth right now. I hope he's not busy...after all, what kind of business can planets have?

Finally, staring at the ground, he spoke aloud: "Zeth, I was wondering...would you mind to have...er...a newly-created race living upon..um..you?" that sounded kinda creepy. But again, he was talking with a planet after all.

Not sure if useful, but...added the 88 Pillars of Knowledge and Memory (you remember them, don't you?  )



If you want, write on the map which Pillar belongs to your Realm (you can choose any of them but the Mane One - but only if you've enchanted one in the story obviously!)

Obviously you'll have to work in synergy with Blue Blur here, I guess...after all, isn't the Law and Order supposed to exist for granting peace and protection to people?"

((I quite lost track of my acts since after giving Princess Luna the Book; I didn't expect Blue to come back so soon! Also, sorry for answering late, but, as I said in the OOC thread, I'm supposed to be studying quite hard for an exam of quantum mechanics I'm giving at the first days of February  ))

Alkaid, who had basically wondered aimlessly around Zeth lost in his thoughts - and still mind-blank for his meeting with the Sisters - suddenly perceived a new source of intelligence not far away. It seemed to belong to a mare, a Goddess most probably, who was talking to a very well-known pony - the God of Law and Order. Curious, the God of Knowledge decided to teleport there, both for meeting the new Goddess and for asking Blue about Crimson.

*WARP*

The grey pony appeared about two meters aside the two chatting Gods. "Hi there!" he said, still unusually cheery from the encounter with the Princesses. "Who's your friend there, Blue?"
