This could be hilarious if they do it right. I recall reading a positive review of that movie, but I can't remember where it was.
I heard about this a while back on an Ace Attorney fansite. Personally, I'm geeking out inside.
Why does this sound like the Street Fighter movie the game?
As long as this is made to embody the goofy, silly, lighthearted nature that is Phoenix Wright and don't try to make it serious or something else that it isn't, it should be a blast to watch. :D
You know...? Now that I think about it again, it reminds me too much of the Zelda movie and might be just some sort of prank to get attention. Maybe it's just because when I see this, I already know what's happening and stuff, but still... the preview is just giving away too much I think.
If it does go through, it's probably going to end up like the Tales of Symphonia OVA, and will severely skew away from the original plot development, although the outcome will most likely be the same.
I'm pretty sure it was released several months ago, so no, not a prank.
