Not to retread old ground (Welcome back, Sotha! How well it was to miss the tests?), but I am quite partial to the phrasing of bolded... phrases.

"Welcome fellow travelers, and blesséd may your travels be."

These were cool too:

"Welcome to the Traveler's blessing, may your travels ever be warm under Celistia's sun."
"Farewell fellow traveller, may your future Travels be ever warded under Luna's beautiful moon."

Eloquent, but too long.

"Welcome to travelers blessing (sounds like the name of an inn); may Celestia shine brightly upon your journey."
"Farewell, traveler. May luna light your path."

I definitely like the second one. One wouldn't even need to say "Farewell, traveler." The "May Luna light your path" could be the farewell itself.

Reminds me of something like... "Go with Celestia's light." or "Fair winds and fly well." (as by Fjord Mustang)
