Panacea was born in Fillydelphia, to two local Bakers. It wasn't until a week after she was born that a name was decided upon, based on a friend of theirs who had been trying to make a cure all medicine. It came to be fitting, for as a filly, Panacea had an interest in medicine. She grew up as an only child, and never found herself to have had many friends. Instead, she studied medicine in her spare time, hoping to become a doctor of some sort. That studying payed off, and she found herself in the Manehattan School of medicine, hoping to get a job in Pharmacy. After a few years in College, Panacea landed a job as a Pharmacist in Ponyville's hospital.
