They really only sting if they're unlucky enough to fly inside your shirt  :l

I had that happen once xD

The bee sort of half stung me but then got away with his stinger still attached.
Pony. That is all.

Avatar art is an awesome commission curtsey of CappyDarn on deviantArt right here!

When we were in our old house like 15 years or so ago we used too have a nest of bumblebees under our house. One day my sister was just walking down the stairs and a whole bunch came out and started trying to sting her head. Needless to say after that my dad got rid of the nest and the bees. Since they basically attacked us for no reason. As they just decided to come out one day and attack her. Honeybees don't really bother me much though one landed on me without stinging me, but bumblebees seem crazy as they always seem to bother you for no reason at all.

Carpenter bees are awesome though, we have one that sits on our house porch in summer and attacks any wasps or other bees that try to fly near us or the house. And when it sees us it just stares for a bit then flies back to it's nest or something on the house. :D

The time it takes to make a nest, and to do so in an orderly fashion is remarkable feat for the bumblebee

aye, though annoying if they do it in a place that isn't theirs x3

I've been stung a few times before (I http://forum.legendsofequestria.com/index.php?topic=2470.0">Read the forum rules.ed off a nest that was hidden inside my outdoor slide). It really isn't as bad as some people take it to be. It feels like a needle. The excess pain is all psychological unless they're venomous or you're allergic. I for one appreciate what bees do for us, and of course their sting needs to be painful or they'd be killed off rather easily.
Spoiler: show
I prefer Ants though.

Wasps, on the other hand...
Could've been something great. But ya' blew it... Ya' blew it.

I agree, like I said, I don't mind them unless they decided to set up shop inside a house or something.  And both wasps AND hornets can go swim in a lake.

A few years ago (like 4, 5 years?), I remember my dad removing a nest from the shed. He made them extremely mad, obviously. So he went and got my BB gun, and hip-fired them! I'm still impressed with him today.

We're building in area's that were originally prime nesting areas for them

I was playing in a tree, and I got attacked by a nest I didn't see. My dad took a lighter and burned it.

african honeybees are classified as an invasive species where I am at least.

Bumble bees also seem to like to attack people, from my experience with them. I could be walking through the yard and sometimes they follow you or chase you.

I still love carpenter bees though.
