Music, I Love it so so much. Feels great to create it, listen to it. It's amazing. I think the one thing I love most is music, and I'm barely starting to venture into it's creation. How awesome would it be to finish playing an epic videogame like, Final Fantasy or Mass Effect, and seeing your name on those credits, saying that you were part of the team who made the music for it. The music that made you feel Happy, Sad, Scared, Confident, Overwhelmed, Nervous, Amazed... The music that made that game such an amazing experience.

Sadly... Music's not a field where everyone wins. I want to study something that will make me happy, but I got to make sure that it will provide me with money too. Sadly, this is not a fantasy world, as much as I'd want it to be. Sadly, I don't have wings to lazily glide around through the sky with some pegasi, Sadly, I can't go around defeating monsters and saving the world with magic. I wish I could fly... I wish I could cast magic... I wish I could go to Equestria too... But...

This world isn't like that, it's all about the money here, so you got to think about that too.

So... I don't know. That's why I'm taking the time off to figure it out. I really have to think it through. 

Yes. That is definitely a good reason to take some time off, and sort yourself and your ambitions out.

As for me and music and money and education, I love the maths and sciences, especially chemistry, and I love designing things (like games and gizmos and musical instruments). And so I'm studying towards a Chemical Engineering degree with music on the side.

Yeah. My high school had a senior project, and I did mine on musical acoustics, and designed a clarinet with two potential keyworks. One with a chromatic layout (almost finished making this one), and one suited for one-handed play (the keywork is too complex for me to actually be able to make, right now). I've also worked on an air-read / valve-work (hopefully for better pressure management) version of the sheng with greater range and chromatic capabilities, but that one's all conceptual right now.

And there are a couple other projects I'm considering, but haven't really worked on.

Alreddy learned: Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, English, German.
Gonna learn: Spanish( starting 13th of Septemper), Chinese, Japanese

lots and lots of practice good luck with those tones in mandarin, Trixter   I know even as a native cantonese speaker myself that mandarin tones can be hard
