The tavern keeper walks out with two tankards of ale and wooden plate with a small wooden bowl of soup and bread. He gives 'Drifter' the tankard of ale and gives the white stallion the ale and food. "Enjoy," he says before resuming his duties.

'Drifter' glances towards the ale, then back at Nightlight. "What's your name?" he asked.

The white stallion picks up the bread and tears it in half. He dips the one half into the bowl of soup and begins eating it.
22
'Drifter' looks behind him towards Nightlight and replies, "No, he simply means that you lot are dead quiet and that there are too few of patrons for his liking."

"This place used to be when talk and drink was all there ever was back when this place was more popular," said the white stallion. "But now it feels more like some restaurant. By the Fractures, it is shameful."

High above the clouds stands a small floating island with crystals protruding from the bottom of the island. A black pegasus wearing a black cloak standing alongside a white stallion with a red mane and tail and eyes of blue and red, wearing a white cloak, standing in front of a mysterious door. The white stallion grins and says, "This is it, the Wanders Tavern. Told you the door would be here."

"To be perfectly honest, old friend," said the black pegasus. "You don't tell much of truths. But I am amazed you know the locations of the doors, considering that the tavern was gone for who knows how long."

The white stallion simply chuckles and says, "When you lived as long as I have, Drifter, you get to see more than you know. Now open the door, I'm getting hungry."

The pegasus known as 'Drifter' nods and walks towards the door. He pushes the door open and walks in with the white stallion following behind.

The tavern keeper looks up at the newcomers and smiles. He says, "Welcome to the Wanders Tavern."

He sees the white stallion, then his expression turns a more cautious look. "Welcome back, friend. Didn't think you'd still be kicking after all these years. What brings you back?" asked the tavern keeper.

'Drifter' finds a spot at the bar counter, sitting down on the stool, the stallion doing the same. The white stallion replies, "Why, I'm just here for a simple meal and a drink. Maybe a nice talk or two. I mean, it is a tavern after all. A central point of gossip, rumors, and talk. For now, this place seems dead so I'll just have to go with food and drink first. The tavern should know my usual."

'Drifter' says, "I'll just have tankard of ale."

"Coming right up," says the keeper as he walks through the door behind him.

The white stallion takes a glance behind him, viewing the patrons. "A wolf and two other ponies. Yeesh, this place is more dead than a graveyard. At least the dead know how to party."

'Drifter' replies, "That's because you dug them up and danced with them as if it was some sort of formal ball."

Erund takes her hoof and shakes. He then lets go and the two changelings looks at Emural. "When you four are done becoming comfortable with the representatives, meet me by the boulder," said Emural as he points his hoof towards a rather large boulder surrounded by white flowers.

Emural walks over to where the boulder is and sits down just near the flowers.
25
Erund and Vector bow their heads towards Nightshade. Erund replies, "I am Erund. I am the chosen representative of the Violet Amethyst Hive. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Vector and Erund believe that the best way to communicate is through formal discussions. As representatives, that is very much the case. Their hives have maintained a very friendly relationship with the Six and have involved themselves in our once private affairs. They know exactly what happens when something in the valley goes awry," said Emural.
26
Vector, the changeling representative, bowed his head in greetings to Aqua Fire. "Greetings," He said. "I am Vector, the changeling representative for the Crimson Crowned Hive. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
27
Emural stands up from his spot and calmly says, "Before we begin the journey, you must first recognize the two other factions helping us. You have already seen members of one of the factions, however, a formal introduction should be needed."

Emural looks towards the rock and the bush. He says, "You may now reveal yourselves."

The bush burns a crimson color, revealing one of a Crimson Crowned changeling. The rock burns a violet color, revealing a violet colored changeling with amethyst platting on their bodies. Emural turns towards the volunteers. "May I introduce the representatives," said Emural. "The Crimson Crowned Changelings, Vector, and the Violet Amethyst Changelings, Erund. These two will represent their hives until we have reached our final destination. From there, they will join their fellows once their assignment is complete. Introduce yourselves or do however you please to become comfortable around them. They will not harm you."
28
The tavern keeper simply answers, "Seven bits."
29
The tavern keeper picks up the menu and says, "I'll be back in a moment."

He walks behind the counter, then through the door. Moments later, he comes back out with the crème brûlée and a cup of coffee. He brings it over to Nightlight and places them down on the table. He says, "Enjoy."

He walks back behind the counter and resumes cleaning the remainder of the dishes.

"The shield was created by a former follower of Solaris and Lunaris, a rebel who caused us so much grief in the past when he decided to join the two false gods. He is known as Head Priest Vinder. He was suppose to be exiled from our lands, but we found no sign of him until that shield came up. This former cultist rebel now leads the current rebel forces and has taken control of the temple. Fortunately, he does not have the six blessings required to open the vault doors containing the unstable power. However, I fear that he may try something more destructive to open the vault doors. Only the six blessings can break the shield and reinforce the vault doors. Though I have sent out scouts to find you all, you still have doubts. If you wish to leave, I will grant you a passage home. But I will not guarantee the safety of your homes or your lives once that power is released," replied Emural.
31
The tavern keeper walks over to the pile of menus and picks up one. He walks over to where Nightlight is sitting at and places the menu in front of him. "Here is the menu. Have a look through that and tell me what you want to eat and drink."

The menu consists of items that Nightlight would prefer along with a couple food and drink items from around the world.
32
The tavern looks up towards the open door at the newcomer. He smiles and says, "Welcome to the Wanders Tavern. Please have a seat, I'll be right with you in a moment."
33
The tavern keeper takes the menu and walks behind the counter and through the door. Moments later, he walks out with a glass of butter bear and a bowl of fried pickle chips. He walks over to Talon and places down the dish and drink on the table in front of him. The keeper simply says, "Enjoy."

He walks back to the back of the counter and resumes cleaning the dishes with his wet rag.
34
The tavern keeper places down the dishes and reaches for the bits. He places them into an old coin pouch, then places the bag underneath the counter. He walks over to the pile of menus and picks up one. He walks over to Lynx Talon. He places the menu down in front of him and says, "Have a look through that, then tell me what you want to drink and eat."

The menu seems to consists of items that Talon may have a preference towards along with a couple of food and drink items found around the world.
35
The tavern keeper looks at Onyx and replies, "Seven bits. Four for the eclair and three for the coffee."

The keeper turns to see the new arrival. He smiles and says, "Welcome to the Wanders Tavern. Please find yourself a seat, I'll be right with you in a moment."
36
"Just three bits for the drink. And maybe next time you come here, could you bring a map? I really need to move some of those doors and the map I have isn't really up-to-date," said the tavern keeper as he continuously cleans the dishes.
37
The tavern keeper places down the cleaned cup and picks up the dirty plate, cleaning it. He speaks, "If you wish to leave, just walk through the door and you'll end up in the same place as you entered. The doors will stay in the same spots as they always have until I move them, which I can't unless I get a map."

The keeper looks over at the wolf. He places down the rag and the plate and walks through the door behind him. Moments later he walks out and walks over to the wolf. He places down a water dish on the floor next to the wolf. He walks back to his usual spot and resumes to clean the dishes with his rag.

"There is a large shield around the entire temple, exactly where the rebel main headquarters are at. Only the rebels can go in and out of it and almost all attempts to break the shield has been futile. We can't even go underground. There is only one last chance to break the shield and that is to retrieve the blessings of the Six. Since I am a representative and a contractor of one of them, I already obtained a blessing. What mystifies me is that other five have yet to choose a representative or a contractor, even a temporary one. That is why I sent out these 'recruiters' as you say. To find temporary replacements for each of the five or at least to find out why with some new perspective. Mine isn't enough," said Emural as he closes the green tome.
39
Emural turns towards Lunar and says, "If we do this correctly and efficiently, we will only face a rebellious group of ponies whose selfishness would dare threaten the entire world. If we don't, we may be facing an even larger threat than what is currently present. At that point, I would have to give my life to prevent it from going too far."

He looks down at his book and asks, "Does that satisfy your curiosity?"
40
"Yes, the ones that carry my form." He says.

Emural reaches into his saddle bag and pulls out a green tome. He opens it up and flips through the pages. As he skims through the content, he says, "I suppose it is a sort of annoyance. However, it is irrelevant to know whether or not it bothers you, for each of us has a duty to perform. Especially at this very moment."

He stops at a page and reads quietly the words, "langdistanse telepati."

The tome begins to glow and Emural closes his eyes. A few seconds later, the glow disappears and he opens his eyes. He looks at Essence and says, "It seems the one who met you agreed to give you access to the valley's local fauna for your potions and special dust. I am of position to give you exactly that access, but it is the village in the forest that can give you exactly what you need. For they are plentiful in many such things. Including those found rare everywhere else."
