I wonder how they'll fair at e3. Will they blunder another conference, or will it bring praise in droves. I really just hope they clear up all this incomplete info. Only one more week.

I played and beaten BK Nuts and Bolts but when in the game did that say that? I can't remember.

Spoiler: Here • show
At the very end. She says it when the ending switches to her in L.O.G.'s factory. Watch the last 15 seconds or so.

In that case, the dragons are probably all in hiding and when Talos was making his pledge, he probably found some dragons.

Don't know, i'm not really into TES full lore, but we need to remember that is not Bethesda who is developing the game so... this guys maybe just doesn't know some facts about the past of Tamriel or whatever, or maybe they are going to do as they did with the "1st person" camera, and they'll develop this feature later, after some fan outrage XD.

I just want some epic dragons fight in this TES  :3

One thing to point out about the time period this game takes place it, is that there is only a little amount of actual stuff written about this. They have almost free reign for this game, save for referencing things that were given during this time,  things before in the history, and things that directly influence what was written for the future after this game. I can't say much about the dragons since I don't as much of the worlds lore as I'd like to. X3

Listen to the first minute or so.

Looks like the Rare game is Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty land.

My 3 initial thoughts of what it is by the title alone are:
1. Roller Coaster Tycoon ripoff
2. Banjo platformer to earn respect back after Nuts and Bolts. (why was that game so hated? I thought it was good...)
3. Banjo party minigames.

Whatever it is, is not a Conker sequel  :c

If its real, I'm honestly not expecting it to be good. N&B was a great game in itself, but was terrible for a BK game. After doing a bit of looking around I've come to agree with some others, it sounds like it might be some kind of kinect party game... :(

I'd love to see conker return as well. I don't think it could be proper though. M$ likes focing Rare's hand wherever they please, and I think a large portion of those who worked on BK and conker left rare a while ago... Chris seavor especially, since he co-wrote conker, was the project lead, and is the voice of conker as well.

Though if they could revive either successfully, I'd have a bit of faith in M$. It's a wild card with ridiculously low odds of success, I'd say.

Another 'public' test maybe. Seeing as how the cons this month and next will be showcasing the pre-alpha, I doubt they'll have a finished product within a couple of months. Maybe they'll move to a full alpha build or maybe a beta, but even if they did release it to the public, it would be an early release, not a full release. I'm being a bit literal with that though.

I doubt we'll see a huge amount of new content within the next few months, but hopefully there has been a decent amount of work done.

I don't entirely care how Microsoft plans to go about limiting the usage of used games. There's still the fact that they're trying to limit the usage of used games. :\

I've already said that I'm also not a fan of voice controlled technology. It's overrated. It's extremely... overrated. All it takes is for me to be in the middle of a boss fight and my friend to walk in and issue some command (maybe "Xbox, go home!") to screw things up for me.

Yeah, that could be a huge problem for those who have slightly trollish friends. Even some people watching the reveal on their xbox had issues with their kinect forcing them to the dashboard during the presentation.

That price is a placeholder. Wii u games were initially listed as $99, but they are the standard $60, or less. Honestly, if they did launch it at $900 it would not be successful. Period. For that much money you could build an equivalent or stronger PC than next gen consoles, especially if its true that battlefield 4 will be 720p at 60fps. Then down the road you can get better cooling and overclock to extremely increase performance.

I doubt M$ donated their brains to science while working on the console. On the hardware front, they probably did a great job, and kinect 2.0 is likely to be a good step up from 1.0. Mind you, I don't think kinect itself is very good by iteslf for motion controls. Other features added are the problem. Now even with kinect being paired with every console, I'm fairly certain devs won't make it integral to the experience of EVERY game.

You can go stab xbox with the master sword. I'm just gonna boycott the xbox brand, and be over here playing on my PC until I get a job so I can get a wii u.

Since the mascot, Ellowee, was brought up, I'd like to say that I find it ironic. Its an icon that appears, to me at least, to have, or is  developing, a personality. This notion, in my opinion, is contradictory of what I've grown to understand about this game.

From what I came to understand, its supposed to be about us; about all of us, as players of the game. Just my thoughts on the matter. Is it for bad or good? I couldn't tell you. I'm pretty much indifferent to the idea, just thinking about its irony.

I think we're all feeling the same. We want the community to continue to stand strong, kind, and happy. At the same time, thats how the team should feel when working on this project. Friendly togetherness, respect, and nothing really negative. I don't want to brood over this, but I don't wish any problems to stagnate the game's development either... :s

Anyway enough about this, I've got to see someone fail at fallout 3 and then get to bed.
49
Yup! That's the kind of thing we need; something to invigorate EVERYONE here. All of those on the team, and all of us in our little community. Fame and greed are not part of what the show tries to teach; instead kindness, acceptance, and forgiveness are!

Them may have royally messed up, but its not like change isn't part of human nature. Scoldings are necessary for many things, but hopefully its not too late for EVERYONE to turn around, acknowledge what happened, and work towards a brighter future. Mistakes were made; that's for sure, but torches and pitchforks are really only good for, well, their actual uses!

I'm pointing this at everyone, too. Every single individual involved in the incident, those who are in the aftermath, and those that who weren't even involved. Don't forget, but don't follow blindly either.

I'm hopeful that all loose ends can be fixed, but not blindly though. History is a great asset to learn from!

Oi, Blues-music! You're definitely on the right track, but several things need to be kept in mind though. You can't solve a rubik's cube by making only one side a solid color. Having a good, welcoming, and nice community is only part of the pie. If indeed there has been a lot of miscommunication and a general air of disorganization, confusion, and belittlement going on, a change is absolutely necessary for this project to come to fruition.

A machine can't work properly and efficiently if its parts are missing, broken, or disjointed. That's part of the reason some are talking about what happened so strongly. We all want to see this game become a reality, but there may be potential hazards to that which need to be taken care of immediately.

At the end of the day, once people put down their metaphoric torches and pitchforks, even if what happened was brought exponentially out of proportion, so long as people aren't pointing and shouting "WITCH!", this should hopefully invigorate the team to work harder or better!

Nobody but those on the team know exactly what has been transpiring. If its true, this should hopefully help them realize change is necessary; if false, this should hopefully deter them from this if they have ever thought about it.

Even with a great community, terrible work ethics could turn this game into the brony aliens colonial marines or the walking dead: survival instinct. You don't just let someone make a mistake, you tell them and help them learn from their mistakes!

The wind does seem to carry foreboding news... Hopefully if it was as bad as it seems, it will be a learning experience... If not... :s Even now there are some things going about that I'm unsure of...

Wat? No seriously, wat? My brain doesn't comprehend. Should I divide by 0? Will that help?

Stinks to see anyone one the team, especially those who have heavily set themselves in our community, leave. Hopefully this won't discourage you from playing the game when its launched. At least you enjoyed, as far as I can tell, your time here.
55
xbox one? You're talking about this right?
Spoiler: show

Joking aside, it looks like I'll only be getting a wii u, and possibly a ps4 if persona remains an exclusive. As much as I love xbox exclusives, I refuse to get this until they remove the leash from consumers...

As for the backward compatibility issue, as annoying as it is there is a good reason for it; this system has completely new architecture so it would more than likely require devs to do huge edits to the game to make it run optimally.

And in regards to those making money from this, are there that many even making THAT much to make a difference? If someone does this and can JUST get by financially, is it a big deal?

There are quite a few LPers who make enough to live comfortably. Youtube Partners earn money for every 1,000 views, and the more popular LPers tend to get hundreds of thousands of views per video, so that's hundreds of payments per video.

TobyGames has 1,141,776,048 video views, so he has been paid about 1,141,776 times for his videos on that channel alone.
PewDiePie has 1,617,303,958 video views, so that's about 1,617,303 times.
The Yogscast's BlueXephos channel has 1,924,053,644 video views.
RoosterTeeth has 2,082,151,584 video views.

The Yogscast even actually ended up renting an office building, which they call Yogtowers. Several of them work in that building and help pay for it. I think RoosterTeeth apparently has their own offices, as well.

Plus, there's the fact that popular LPers (popular Youtubers in general) live well enough that the money they make covers more than just their bills and groceries. They have money to spend leisurely, or on video games and new consoles. Those who make a career out of it, at least.

And that is where another problem lies; nobody but youtube and the partners legally know how much money is being tossed around, and those you specifically mentioned are the 1%. I'm fairly certain their popularity is for their personalities, not purely because of games they play. Some of them do original content, and that is what got them hugely popular; Roosterteeth and tobuscus for example.

I'm not saying nintendo is wrong for jumping on the concept, but taking all money gained isn't right.
57
On this subject, I agree with TB and TGS that nintendo doesn't fully understand what they're doing.

And in regards to those making money from this, are there that many even making THAT much to make a difference? If someone does this and can JUST get by financially, is it a big deal?

Contrary to what may be popular belief(not completely sure about that though), let's plays do take a considerable amount of time and effort to do and maintain in high quality. How ever much time you have of video recordings should also be spent watching before uploading to edit, and make sure there is nothing wrong with the base video file. Just imagine how much time and effort chuggaaconroy had to put into his okamiden LP, constantly switching the positions of the top and touch screens. If you have a corrupted video, and don't have previous saves to load, there are those LPers who would go and replay the game on another file to show what they lost. Its almost always immediately obvious to understand those who are only about the money, and those who are about quality content.

Honestly, they shouldn't take 100% of revenue from the videos. I don't think LPs are purely about the games. If I search for an LP of a game, I generally go watch several first episodes until I find someone I like. Its a culmination of the game, and the commentator. I've also seen plenty of times were someone commented saying they were going to be the game.

The biggest issue with this, is that it is a giant grey area. Nobody is completely sure of everything in this situation. Then there's also the problem of youtube's poorly designed content match, and robot-powered appeal systems.
58
So long as the ads aren't making me rage, its fine. Unpausable, unmutable, irrelevant video ads are the reason I got adblock. That and youtube spamming me with nothing minute+ long unskipable ads... Also those annoying in-text ads. Such an eyesore, and they seem to re-allow themselves each time I close the browser.
59
I've been thinking, how would region dlc be for X and Y? Personally I'd love to be able to visit other regions on the same save, and, hopefully, it would cost less then several remakes.

Riding pokemon is cool, but I would still much rather have the first one in the party follow me... As much as I'll probably love these games, I'll still be quite annoyed if that feature doesn't return.
60
The trailer does seem to show it could be good. I won't be surprised if it does fall short of being good, but I'm reserving full judgement until I see it.
