While I do agree with you about the immortality/lack of sands and the ending (And I vaguely remember it being a bad ending too), I LOVED that game. It was very fun and very beautiful! I love Cell Shading... Could have used more combat, but it was solid! ^-^

I admit, the Cell Shading actually was pretty beautiful in this game, not to mention I loved listening to Elika and the Prince rant on back and forth at each other, given the circumstance they're in XD I admit, this game does appeal more to it's writing than the gameplay, but it came crumbling down at the ending,
Spoiler: show
Which, if Elika actually stayed dead and the Prince continued to mourn over her death, I mean, yeah! That ending would feel like it fits more here.
Heads up!

Skyrim.  :l

My character on Skyrim was UNSTOPPABLE. because I knew how to craft SUPER ARMOR. I got my armor to the point to that I could 1 hit an elder dragon on hard. I used no cheeeeaaats :U

I'm glad bethesda made the patch that got rid of the "iron dagger making" method of leveling blacksmithing. My character was running around in dragon bone armor at level 20  :l

SKYLANDERS! >:O

I wouldn't care if they didn't take Spyro and mutate him into a gremlin!

Games with really bad controls / physics... You know, when e.g. jumping simply feels wrong... Or when the usual controls (e.g. A for jumping, B for running / action) are switched... And there are quite a lot of those around... (Yes Bart, I'm looking at your NES games...)

I changed my controls immediately in Skyrim because they went with really stupid controls on Xbox360. :l
Can't completely remember what it was. I think it was Y for jump, A for action, and B for menu. I changed it to A for jump, B for action, and Y for menu.

Games with time limits, like Pikmin and Majora's Mask.
I hate feeling rushed.
They require careful time management, which as someone that goofs around in games a lot, is not fun to deal with.

Timed events, oh how I hate thee.

I hate sport games... Mainly football (both american and european). I just don't know what is the fun about them, and having to buy one each year to keep the game together with the real thing is a waste of money....

And games that doesn't have any challenge at all, like Epic Mickey. I played a lot of this game, and they never stopped telling me what I was supposed to do! If it had a puzzle, they almost tell you how to get past it... Even if I really liked the idea of the game, I couldn't finish it because it didn't gave me the challenge I aways look for in games. I don't know if it gets harder at the end, but until the middle it was too easy.

Stardust Dragon

Annoying, but addictive and still fun for me, would have to be FTL: Faster Than Light.  I barely made it to the final boss' last stage before it blasts my ship into oblivion.  Micro-management has never been my strong suit, but I can't stop coming back for more!

Sometimes it's kinda fun to have timed events, as it makes you rush and it makes things exciting. Gives off Adrenaline even. B)

It can be annoying though, as you pointed out Woona. Sometimes you just want to mess around but nope, it ain't hapening. Not unless you want to mess things up horribly.

I mean, Dead Rising for example. One day, my cousin and I decided to JUST mess around. No missions, no nothing, only zombie killing. Almost 48 hours later a nuclear bomb goes off, ending the game because we didn't stop the evil guy. And we were having fun. :l

They are indeed annoying, though they do give off a sense of satisfaction when you complete them. Though I like to take my time, so it's pretty hard for me to complete them.

I dunno, guys. In Okami, there's a part where you have to run through a cursed forest, and it's a timed event. You're running past trees that throw stuff at you, sometimes running across ice, and jumping through holes in spiky veins, and sometimes the hole moves. If you hit the spiky vines, it knocks you back a little bit.

Anyway, after getting through the forest, I felt more "Thank god it's over." than "Wow, I just achieved something!" It did kinda get my heart going, though. Like "Runrunrunrun, gotta make it, gogogo!"

hardest part of the game for me

Hardest part for me was racing Tobi the flying paper through those obstacle courses. :l That's one of the reasons I'm not sure if I'll do an Okami LP. Both times I replayed, I got to that part, and I was like "Why am I doing this again?!"

The blockhead on Oni Island annoyed me too because you have to paint on the dots so precisely it's hard. But then I found out about the exploit I've mentioned around here before. Jump, headbutt invisible wall, backflip over blockhead.

I was talking about a whole game being timed, not an event. With events you're indefinitely glad its over... I hate timed events in some games. Though they do give you an adrenaline rush.

XD The only thing I found interesting in Mercinaries 2 is really the customized vehicles... They were Bad*Yaaaay* XD

Personally I don't like AI partners >.> They get in the way of my shots more than actual players do when they're not trying XD Then I really hate the players who want to actually screw me up and they're on my team.
