My family doesn't know that the Changeling queen is related to ponies, so I told them it was a mythological creature and showed the image to everypony in my family yesterday, while also telling them I was hoping to have it published on a "very famous site".

Haha, am I clever or what? I always find the best ways to avoid them finding out (Even though I think they know...).

Anyways, now we're going out tonight to celebrate!

My Funko Fluttershy and Dr Whooves arrived! I got both of the opaque color ones, which is good! I didn't really like the transparent ones.

They look really nice and high quality. If you have a Derpy or a Dash, the paint-job on these seems to be a little higher quality- less boo-boos in the paint. Nice, heavy vinyl, good models, and only a few small flaws in mine. They look great.

I have a small TARDIS in my room (it's actually a cookie-jar that lights up and makes the TARDIS noise when you open it- so I will know if my cookies are stolen!) and now I have Dr.Whooves and Derpy next to it, and they are just about perfect to scale. Might take a picture to show off later.

Hopefully everypony else who order them will get theirs soon too! Good luck!

Just saw an update from Villalobos Rescue Center on Facebook. A UPS driver over in New Orleans was driving along when he heard a litter of puppies crying out. Poor things were in a field of tall grass, while it was pouring down raining. So he put them in a box and took them to Villalobos!
They even posted a few photos.

This is the 1st day since I started working at this new job where I am able to work a closing shift without splitting it into a morning/night, so i'm on coffee #2, been on the forums, played some UrT and I woke up at 9am!.  Don't have to be at work until 12:30...if only I could close every Tuesday 

Still, i'm happy!  And i'm going to a diner tomorrow(which is why I switched my closing shift from Wednesday to today) so catch up with a few meat managers, one of whom is my old boss, should be interesting...

My friends and brother all went to Las Pegasus over the weekend, and I got to babysit my brother and his girlfriend's animals at their house all weekend. I had lots of ferret fun.

Aaaaand my brother brought me back a souvenir! He got me a poster SIGNED by best zeeba. o 3 o to ME.

Read a great article today.
Initially when I entered the Fandom, I conducted a very critical analysis of the show, to determine why exactly I liked it.
I readily identified the reasons, but could not adequately explain why the writing, my main reason for liking it, appealed to me so.

This guy spent a very long time analyzing just one episode, but through that effort illustrated what exactly makes the writing so good, so relatable.

Finally understanding what FiM does specifically that makes it refreshingly unique among today's cartoons has made my appreciation for the writers increase tenfold. Whether they consciously intended for the story to have such strong sociological undertones or not, it's all definitely there.

I recommend reading all three parts, if you have the time.
