"You are my end user. I only accept commands from you, unless specifically instructed by you to do otherwise." Chestnut paused. "You appear to be preparing for combat. Do you require assistance?"

She nods, "If the mare up there..." she points at the pink mare, "If she does not accept my offer, then I want you to destroy all of the Equipment in this room, except for me and you." she looks at the pony eith the sligh augmentation for a moment, "All of it." she looks up at the mare, "My offer is, you let me and her go, and nothing has to be destroyed. If equipment is not of worry, then lives will be taken."

"..." The earth pony looked at you. "It would only take one bullet to kill you, you know. The ADOA's are good combat drones, but they don't make the best bodyguards. She wouldn't identify the bullet until it was in you. And by then it would be too late. You're not an end user if you're dead. I could have you shot on command." She said.
Chestnut swiped her hoof, the mare collapsing. "Any threats made to my end user will be returned with extreme prejudice." She said flatly. She nodded at the earth pony mare. "Given that she is unconscious, she can't accept your offer. Should I commence the destruction of the facility?" She asked.
The warning lights lit up across the room. The automatic turrets began to turn.

Her eyes widen at how easily she took out the mare, with just a swipe of a hoof, but there was no time to be surprised, "Not the entire facility, everything in this room, and anything that is a direct threat to me afterwards. Also, destroy any automated turrets first, that is a priority!" She says all of this quickly, ducking a bit.

"Affirmative." She nodded, purple hexagonal tiles tessellating themselves around her, forming a spherical barrier with a radius of one and a quarter meters. Her hooves began to glow, and hovered upwards slowly, plasma jets in her hooves providing thrust. The nearest two turrets began to fire at her, the bullets impacting the shield. They did very little noticeable damage. Chestnut turned, pointing her hooves at the turrets, which burst into flame in a tenth of a second. She began to take more fire, her shield holding from all angles. She began to return fire, flying in arcs around the building, machinery bursting into flame as she pointed at them. There was fire, smoke, gunfire, light, and the noise of explosions. Your vision was quickly swamped. You heard continuous sounds of fighting, screaming ponies and explosions. Slowly, they faded.

Thirty seconds later, Chestnut landed next to you. "I have eliminated sixty-three percent of the machinery and ninety-one percent of the personnel in this room. Reinforcements are arriving from other sections. Given the technological capabilities of the armed forces present, I estimate a four percent chance of success at completing your assigned task before being overwhelmed, which would leave you undefended. Do you wish me to continue, or to escort you to a safe place?"

She thinks, "Escort me to a safe place, then look for these two." she shows her a hologram of Star and Lyra "And bring them here at all costs."

"This task is impossible. I have already eliminated the two ponies shown." Chestnut says.

((How, exactly, would she be able to tell them apart from any other facility worker? They were doing a good enough job of blending in not to be caught! You'll need to actually understand the words you use when ordering Chestnut to do something. She's very literal minded.))

Okay, no. They're not. But neither Chestnut or Stormy think that. As far Chestnut knows, she's killed them.))

Her eyes widen in shock, "W-what.... what did you say?... I.... I don't think i heard you correctly..." she looks at her, a feeling of complete dread and fear building up in her.

"As I said, I have eliminated ninety-one percent of the personnel in this room. Your instructions were to destroy the turrets first, followed by the machinery in this room, equal to any threats to you. They are both unicorns, and I noted them in combat when approaching. They were closing on your position. As such, they filled all the criteria for potential threats to your safety. I had already destroyed the turrets, which was the only higher priority command you had given me." She paused. "Did you not wish for me to attack them?"

She grits her teeth, she felt her emotions shatter.... but she had to keep going now, if she did not more would have to die, "Can you find a place where we can escape the facuilty, and then where we are out...." she paused, "Please bring me the supposed bodies of these two..." she stares at the holograms, her eyes tearing up.

"I am sorry to have caused you distress. To avoid this in the future, please be very explicit in articulating exactly what task you wish me to do. I lack what would be known as 'common sense', and am not capable of preforming inferences. My learning algorithm will eventually allow me to do this, but it will take at least three weeks." She said. "Please, climb on my back."

She climbs onto her back, "Also... a correction to last command. If they are alive still, DO NOT KILL THEM. Bring them to me right away! However if they are dead, still bring them to me, understood?" She says, holding back tears. She felt like she was going to break down.

"Calibrating..." Chestnut said. "You weigh 923 kilograms." She returned to a standing position, her shield going back up, her hooves shooting out jets. She points upwards with one hoof, and a ring melts in the ceiling. She bursts through it, and into the January night. "Where do you wish me to take you?"

She lists off the coordinates for Twilights library, "Alright?"

"Of course." She begins to accelerate. You feel heavier. There is a crash, as she breaks the sound barrier. "We will be arriving in the Ponyville general library in one minute"

She nods and sighs, hugging onto her lightly to stay on. Right now she would be thinking about how amazingly advanced this android was, but for now all she could think of was Star and Lyra...
